Excel format difference in GUI and NWBC

Hi Experts,
We have implemented Launchpad with different SAP T-codes. For IW38 tcode.
1. If we execute in GUI and tried to save record in excel. Format is perfect with coloring of columns, without any empty rows or columns.
2. But when we use the same T-code in NWBC, the excel being downloaded doesnt contain cloring and it shows 1 empty colomn and 1 empty row.
  End user needs same excel sheet as in GUI. Please help to solve this. Version is NWBC HTML 3.5.

I am sorry. I should have explained you the steps. Actually, after executing CJE2. You need to double click on report group 12KST1A for S_ALR_87013558 and 12KST1B for S_ALR_87013557.
Now, for both the report groups. Just click on the Output type tab. I am sure that for S_ALR_87013558 report, middle one radio button must have been selected in your case. Just change it to Graphical Report Output OR it would be much better if you just make it available on selection screen by clicking on check button at the bottom.
have a look at the screen shot.
Just do the changes and revert back.

    I am trying to create a resource in SAP TM. But getting the following error, I have activated all the relevant business functions (tcode SFW5) and also relevant services (tcode SICF) but still unable to get away with the issue. The NWBC error is not only for resource but for any master data I want to create its showing the same issue (the page is not loading and its showing a cross mark) whereas it works for other things like freight order creation etc.

    Why? Because "the Excel format" is a binary and proprietary Microsoft file format. And writing a generator to generate Excel files will be complex, and resource expensive. In the vast majority of cases this will not be justified.
    As an alternative the very basic Microsoft XML office format can be used. But note that this is not a a ISO standard (it has been shot down in flames) - and effort and resources for that would be better spend on the Open Document XML standard (which very likely will be ratified as the ISO standard instead).
    Of course, you could have meant a CSV file - in which case, you need to play close attention to details. CSV is not an Excel format. A software designers and developers, our success is determined by attention to technical detail. In which case you are not paying any attention to technical detail by confusing CSV with Excel.

  • Generate report in excel format

    Hello all,
    I´m trying to produce an excel report with oracle reports. I have three different queries:
    - one that returns columns name of the report.
    - one that returns rows of the report.
    - and one that returns the results.
    But when i generate the report, using desformat=delimited or spreadsheet, this three queries appears in three different places, one below other in spreadsheet.
    When i generate a pdf report, this queries looks fine, and appear in the place that i want.
    I´m using oracle 10g version. Can anyone tell me how can i put this three queries like a grid, so results are aligned with columns and rows?
    I need urgently an answer please.

  • Change in report format after exporting from pdf format to excel format.

    I got a problem while exporting the pdf format of the Report to Excel format "Fully-Foramtted Grids and Texts".
    The format gets automatically changed.
    Is there any solution to this problem.

    Can you give some more details?
    Which version are you using (and which patch level - if any).
    Also what formatting is default on the reports and what is the default format in excel.
    What exactly is different between PDF and excel?
    Another possibility is that font substitution is going on??

    What it shows u is how to convert the ALV grid output into excel display by the click of a button.
    However as far as I understand, you want to display ALV grid OR excel as soon as output appears based on radiobutton. What you can then do it if the excel is clicked then download the ALV grid on to the presentation server in EXCEL format using the CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES class method of DOWNLOAD and then read the same file and open for display. This way not only will u have a file downloaded onto the presentation server but will achieve the functionality of displaying the document.

       I am downloading the data in excel format using FM CONVERT_SAP_TO_XLS_FORMAT and able to open the file in my machine since my machine is having EXCEL 2003 version. In some other machines i tried to download and open,  but after downloading the data in some machines we couldnt open the file since those machines are having the excel2007 versions. but my requirement is i need to open in 2007 version also, please tell me solution.

    but this function modules EXCEL_OLE_STANDARD_DAT, RH_START_EXCEL_WITH_DATA   cant help to solve my issue,  my requirement is i need to download sap data in excelformat, problem comes here, if i download internal table, in that any text that starts with double cotes and ending with not double cotes, the data is not downloading properly and all the data cramped into one cell. To solve this issue i have used functinal module SAP_CONVERT_TO_XLS_FORMAT and i am able to download without any problem,  but in clients machines they are able to download and they are not able to open as they are having EXCEL 2007 in their machines.
    if is there any solution, please update me.

  • Status gui &XXL (export to excel format)command doesnu00B4t work

    hi gurus i copied the standar GUI menu from SAPLKKBL and every thing its ok except the &XXL (export to excel format)command .
    i push this button and nothing happens. The popup doesn appear what is wrong? i have excel in my pc and when i use the %PC
    command it works fine and converts to excel but i need the mmhtml format so i need the &XXL command works . any idea?

    IM DOING SOME TEST I CHANGE THE TYPE OF ALV AND IT WORKS, BUT I NEED TO USE THE REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_DISPLAY AND THE PROBLEM IS WITH THIS TYPE OF ALV

    we have GRC 10.0 server. and i would like to know what is the difference between accessing GRC screens with NWBC, and from normal sap gui....

    My understanding is that no one will have access to SPRO other than administrator .So all GRC admin related activities will done by SAP GUI (SPRO ) and as administrator he will have access to NWBC also  .
    Where as other user like functional consultant , compliance officer etc need not to do any admin related task hence do need access to SAP GUI and can do their tasks from NWBC .

  • Export differences between GUI ALV and Portal

    Hi,
    Have a customer that is able to export reports to Excel using the 'Local File -> Spreadsheet Option'. When this is used in the GUI, the report exports as expected, all columns from the ALV view in the correct columns in excel.
    If I run the same report through the customer portal, exporting the data in the same way, when I open the file in excel, each ALV column is combined into 1 column in excel.
    Questions:
    - Are there any differences between the GUI and Portal when using the exporting functions?
    - Would this output be determined by Excel and not the SAP export?
    Any assistance or guidance is much appreciated.

    I was trying to display a report in excel format in report builder. It shows the data, but I do not find the print button options, whereas I can see it with other formats. Is this the way it is, or do I need to format anything more within my report for showing up the print button option?This is only happening for excel format

    Yes, CF Report builder is new and initially there was few
    issues with this. But I guess now it's good after hotfixes.
    Well, I am using CF Report Builder. It's good for me. You can
    also design and develop complex reports, that depends upon the
    query you are writing. You can also add subreports to your main
    reports.
    Mainly CF Report is platform independent and you can also
    generate reports in PDF, EXCEL and FlashPaper.
    Crystal Report is no doubt is very good, and it's there for
    long years. I agree you can create complex reports with this, but
    you also can do the same in CF also. You are using this for last 10
    years, so I guess you should try something new and that is CF
    Report Builder and you can judge then.
    I am sure you will have fun with CF.

    You can create batch Jobs (Trx. SM36) for executing the transactions in background at specified times and in the spool recipient option mention the email IDs of the recipients.

  • Issues while saving the Webi Report locally in pdf and Excel Format

    Hi,
    I am getting issues with the images on a Webi Report when I try to save the reports locally on my machine in either a pdf format or in an Excel Format.
    I think the issue is that when I am trying to save the report it saves the address of the image binded in the report but it doesn't save the image/download the image and when the report is opened locally it couldn't refer to the image location.
    I am using BOXIR2 with SP2.8.
    I am not sure what should be the right solution for this. Any insight or resolution will definitely be helpful.

    I would investigate on the load balancer and/or Apache front end servers, are you sure you don't have a keep alive setting enabled somewhere on one of these servers? in the Tomcat connector maybe?
