Excel formulas copy and paste values option

I use a spreadsheet that has descriptions in column A, then column B is my cost.  I am reselling these goods so I use the formula =mround((cost/0.95),0.05) in column C which will take the original price in column B, mark it up 5% then round it off to the nearest nickel. the formula works, however when I go to delete column B , Column C just shows an orange triangle.  In excel I would have to COPY all of column C then PASTE and then chose VALUES  option so that it would keep the actual marked up numbers, rather than pasting the formula.  However when I try to copy column C in numbers and paste it into a new column D it is marking column D up 5% also.  I know I can HIDE my actual cost column, but since I have to email this over to the buyer I do not want her to be able to UNHIDE it and see my costs. I have the book and I cant find anything relating to this in there, and have spent almost an hour trying different things and can not figure this out. 

In the Edit menu is Paste Values.

All I want to copy and paste the values only, not the formulas, but on pages I cannot find a way to paste values only.     There is no Paste Special in OSX, anywhere. You can Paste Values from the Edit menu in Numbers when that would be necessary.
    In such cases where you would use Paste Values in Numbers, you can use Paste and Match Style in Pages for the same result.
    Sometimes it's so obvious to Pages what should be done that it will give you what you need automatically, but sometimes you need to use Paste and Match Style to get the values rather than an error triangle.

    I have a user that is on a Windows 7 64-bit machine and he has to different instances of excel open and coping information from one excel file to the other one. He can do it once and then when he tries to do it again excel says, "Microsoft cannot Copy and

    I have tried to repair the install, that worked for a few days.
    Tried uninstalling Office suite and then re-installing Office suite.
    I reformatted the computer and did a fresh install of windows 7 and Office suite and today it started again.
    I need to get a fix for this as soon as possible.

    I want to select, copy and paste a group of cells as described above in ‘red’ but obtain the results as described above in ‘green’; in other words, I don’t want the links to the source work book preceding the references to cells on other work sheets.
    At this point, the only solution I know is to apply the procedure described above in ‘green’ one cell at a time.  As you can imagine, this would be a tedious process if there are sixteen cells to copy involving seventy-two work books. Thanks

    Howdy folks. Need another pair of eye to help push me in the right direction. I’m trying to write an applescript that will copy the value of a formula in one worksheet and paste it into another.  cell g7 contains a countif formula. i am trying to get the value of the formula from the annual xlxx  and paste it to cell am3 of the payroll xlxx. When I tried to compile the script a, I got an “Expected end of line, etc. but found end of script” error. Can someone please take a look at it and see what I’ve done wrong?

  • SAPGUI 7.20 terminated when copy and paste value in planning book.

    Hello Experts,
    I have window 7 and SAPGUI 7.20 patch level 2.  Recently, I encountered an issue where my SAPGUI terminated unexpectly when I use CtrlC and CtrlV of a value from one cell to another in any planning books (DP, SNP, ect.) 
    A window pop-up with a message "SAP Logon for Wndows has stopped working" , "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Please close the program.".  The only option to select is "Close the program" and after I selected it, it terminates all of my open SAP option.  It happens everytime I use the CtrlC and CtrlV of a value from one cell to another.
    Do you know what caused this and how I can correct the issue?  Appreciate in advance for your hel

    Cannot copy and paste in an Excel 2010 file
    The user has modify rights, and on other files it works fine. She can save and do everything with the file except copy and then past to another tab in the same file or a new one. Or anywhere.
    We tried the file with a different user from the same department and there it does work.
    I tried to disable the X-com plugins and disable OVF for performance also. Nothing works...anybody knows maybe what the issue might be ?
    The file is on a network drive on a domain and does work on another user to copy and paste.  I have not let her log in with the same user account n test it on a different system so I asked and will get a update soon. There are no error messages the
    paste option is greyed out.

    This issue might be caused by her user profile. What the result would be if using another user account to log on her computer to test this issue.
    Also do you have the same problem when you open excel in Safe Mode?
    Try opening Excel without any Add-ins or hidden workbooks:
    Press and hold the CTRL key, and then click the excel program.

  • Copy and Paste Formula from One Cell to Multiple (How?)

    I am aware of the "autofill" function by dragging the bottom-right corner of a cell containing a formula.
    However, I cannot possibly do this if I want to copy the formula and paste it into 10,000 cells.
    If I specify a range of cells to paste the copied formula - only the first cell gets it. I have seen this problem in previous iWork for a long time but am surprised Apple has not improved it (or made it obvious enough for me to get it at first sight).

    It's really boring to read several times the same comments: +When I use Autofill on formulae to copy them into empty rows I end up with little red triangles saying it isn't a valid formula. In Excel and Lotus 123 I can just use Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V to copy and paste into as many cells as I want, why not Numbers?+

    It's because of the extension of the hard drive is a Windows extension ( most likely MSDOS or Ex-FAT), meaning you can only read but not write. If there are no important files (or you can copy the whole thing to your computer/mac) you can just reformat the hard drive and change the extension to NTFS (readable and writable on both windows and mac) or Mac OS Extended (readable and writable on Mac, readable on windows).
    Go to DISK UTILITY
    Choose the Hard Disk you intended
    ERASE
    You can choose either
              (I personally prefer this one, you know just in case)

    I do not fully understand your question. However, you can use the GoodReader app to download and excel file from DP and open it is GoodReader. Then copy the address abd paste it in the email.

    So you want the user/person to do the "cut&paste" action (ie. ctrlc ctrlv) and have the data paste itself across rows correctly much like Excel does. I don't think this "intelligence" is built into Adobe table controls as it is in Excel (and Excel is smart enough to even handle it different ways depending on how the user selects cells).
    The only thing I can think of is that you could "capture" the user trying to paste into a cell/row in your table (maybe in the onFocus or onClick events), then grab the data, parse it out (but looking for some character) and then have your code distribute the data across the rows. However, I personally think that would be a lot of overkill and prone to other issues and errors.
