Excel XLR8 - DATA AHEAD

I want to order the Toolkit XLR8 - DATA AHEAD (partnr 783309-35).
So I can write and read excel files in Labview without active-X programming.
Can anyone tell me if I have to buy this for every computer on the network where LV is installed?

Are both of these dates in the same Excel file? If they're in different files, are you choosing the same language for OCR (optical character recognition)?
If they are in the same PDF file, how was that PDF file created? Was it created from a third-party application (rather than an Adobe application)? If it was created by a third-party application, it could be that it wasn't written to spec, and that's why you're seeing some oddities in the PDF > Excel conversion. Upload excel sheet data through sqlloader into oracle tables

i am working with excel sheet with following records

after that when i write following code to make control file

after this pl\sqldev returning me error message that ORA-00900:invalid sql statement

A control file is a file located on the operating system, not some SQL or PL/SQL code you try and execute.
Create the control file as a file and then use that to load your data with SQL*Loader from the command line.

Was this issue resolved? I see this post has been marked answered but there wasn't any information on what it took to resolve the issue.
We have our CMS and processing servers on Linux while our Scheduling servers are on Windows. The WEBI reports with external data providers fail to run on Infoview/ scheduler.
We were told this is addressed in FP 3.6 but that is not the case. We installed FP 3.6 but still continue to see these errors. It required us to manually deploy the ExtensionFactoryService package for enabling the refresh of such reports on infoview/schedulers. It also involves placing of the file used [.xls/.txt] on the linux server on the PersonalDPFiles directory.
No luck so far!!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hyperion Financial Reporting - Export to Excel converting Data to Text

We are using Hyperion Financial Reporting 11.1.2.2 with Hyperion Workspace 11.1.2.2 reporting on an ASO Essbase cube version 11.1.2.2.
When we export a report to Excel any data values that are displayed in the report with a negative ('-', '()', etc.) sign come into Excel as a text value. The cell has the green flag and the single quote in it denoting this a text field. The format is listed as 'Custom'. Updating the format does not remove the single quote.
The same result is happening if we display the natural sign in the report or if we flip the sign in the report. This DOES NOT happen when choosing the export query ready, only when using the File -> Export -> Excel.
Does anyone know if there is a hot fix or service pack or configuration to resolve this? How about a work around?
I thought I remember this happening in 9.2 and being resolved in 9.3. We have recently upgraded from 9.3.1 to 11.1.2.2 and the issue is happening again.
The users would like to export the formatted report to Excel and be able to interact with the data cells as numbers.

The issue is reported as a bug. Installing patch 14625370 (11.1.2.2.302) and/or 16088101 (11.1.2.2.303) should fix the problem.

Using Excel as data source

Hi,
i have created a crystal report that uses Excel as data source. Reason i used excel is for easy updating of data by non IT users. The report runs perfectly on my computer, but when i upload it to Infoview, there is error when i run the report from Infoview:
"The database logon information for this report is either incomplete or incorrect."
"Unable to retrieve Object.
The database logon information for this report is either incomplete or incorrect."
May i know what causes the error? There is no user id/password to access the excel file.
I have also tried saving the excel in the same server as the crystal report server, but i still face the same error.

You would have created a connection in your local system to access the XLS data
You should be creating a similar connection in the server as well and then update the rpt file with the connection details in CMS

2. By the way, Your question is not related to this forum i think. I mean you can use SSIS for this and work with SQL Server database as well but i think this is not the right way to do it!

Microsoft Excel Workbook data-only, export missing Page Headers

We are currently utilizing 'Page Headers' rather than 'Report Headers' as a means to add header information to each page of the report. We recently upgraded to BI 4.1 sp2 with Crystal Reports 2013. All the export options for 'Microsoft Excel (97-2003)****' function such that when exported, the 'Page Header' we have on Page 1 is re-created at the top of the extract. Subsequent page headers are not created in the 'xls' version.
When we attempt to export the same report using the 'Microsoft Excel Workbook data-only' it does not contain the 'Page Headers'.
For Example:
Microsoft Excel (97-2003) data-only output:
Report Header 1
Page Header 1
Column 1, Column 2
data, data
data, data
Microsoft Excel (97-2003) data-only output:
Report Header 1
Column 1, Column 2
data, data
data, data
We are utilizing the Crystal Reports Java SDK to generate these extracts, and were curious if there is a programmatic way around this issue, or a way to place the 'Page Header' back in on export. A setting in Crystal, an API call, other?

hi Nick,
when you choose the excel data only option, check on Custom for the Excel Format, press the Options button, and there is an option to show Page Headers and Footers.

Thank you very much for looking into my thread.
Actually i followed everything that is been mentioned in "http://avdeo.com/2008/05/21/uploading-excel-sheet- using-oracle-application-express-apex/" and i got a successful result.
But, with the above process I can only upload a .csv format excel and not a .xls format excel file.
Thats where i got stucked and unable to find any clue on how to move further to achieve in uploading .xls file.
It would be very great if you guide me through in this process.

We have brand new installed ECC system somehow configured but with no master or transaction data loaded .It is new empty system....We also have some legacy data in excel files...We want to start loading some data into the SAP sandbox step by step and to see how they work...test some transactions see if the loaded data are good etc initial tests.
Few questions here are raised:
-Can someone tell me what is the process of loading this data into SAP system?
-Should this excel file must me reworked prepared somehow(fields, columns etc) in order to be ready for upload to SAP??
-Users asked me how to prepared their legacy excel files so they can be ready in SAP format for upload.?Is this an abaper job or it is a functional guy job?
-Or should the excel files be converted to .txt files and then imported to SAP?Does it really make some difference if files are in excel or .txt format?
-Should the Abaper determine the structure of those excel file(to be ready for upload ) and if yes, what are the technical rules here ?
-What tools should be used for this initial data loads? CATT , Lsmw , batch input or something else?
-At which point we should test the data?I guess after the initial load?
-What tools are used in all steps before...
-If someone can provide me with step by step scenario or guide of loading some kind of initial master data - from .xls file alignment to the real upload - this will be great..

Depends on data we upload the data from file to R/3 .
If it is regular updation then we used to get the data from application server files to R/3 since local file updation we can not set up background processing..
If it is master data upload and that to one time upload then we use presenation server files to SAP R/3..

Excel RFC Data Transfer

First off, my apologies if this thread is in the wrong forum; it seemed to be the most relevant one to my question.
 
Background 
I have written an ABAP program to gather some statistics and input them into a table, this all works well. The problem came when I needed to display this data in a graph. I found that SAP Business graphics was too limited in that it only had a 16 colour palette and a maximum of 32 unique records could be displayed. BEx was discounted after this as it only operates within the BW systems and my data is not held there, which leaves me with Excel.
 
Problem 
I need to make an RFC to the statistics table in the SAP system. Now as far as I can tell my function call is successful (none of my error catches are triggered). The issue is I donu2019t quite know how to actually extract the data from my tables, nor can I find a complete methods list online.
 
Question 
Is my extraction method correct and if so how do I output the results to a spreadsheet?

PowerPivot - refresh excel with Data Feed

Dear all,
I created a PowerPivot chart out of a SharePoint exported list to Data Feed.
I then published it to a trusted Document Library.
The Chart is working well but is not updating.
So if I go to the document library and on the drop down meny of the publsihed excel file I choose Manage PowerPivot Data Refresh and force it to refresh, it fails with the following error message>
Errors in the high-level relational engine. The following exception occurred while the managed IDbConnection interface was being used: The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.. A connection could not be made to the data source with the DataSourceID
of '3b4d4c28-909c-47d3-b4d6-07684f5e2ee9', Name of 'DataFeed mywebapp.domain TestPowerPivotDataFeed'. An error occurred while processing the 'testPowerPivot' table. The operation has been cancelled.

You configured the PowerPivot unattended data refresh account, but now data refresh is failing. Check for these possible conditions:
Choosing the wrong credentials option in the schedule data refresh page.
Insufficient permissions on remote computers or data sources.
Follow the steps below to re-add the unattended data refresh account and see how it works:
1. Create a Data feed library .
2. Upload the local copy of you data feed to there.
3. Open up your report and change the connection.
4. Use Secure Store Service by adding your unattended PowerPivot refresh account.
If still no help, for quick and accurate answers to your questions, it is recommended that you initial a new thread in our SQL server forum.
