Exception after Migration to Adaptive RFC 2

Hi,
after migration to Adaptive RFC 2 Model I get this exception:
java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: com.sap.tc.cm.arfc2.gci.ARFC2TypedModel.<init>(Ljava/lang/String;Ljava/lang/String;Ljava/lang/String;Ljava/lang/String;[Ljava/lang/String;Ljava/util/Map;Ljava/util/Map;Ljava/lang/String;)V
I did all necessary steps from this documentation:
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/50f7192d-2808-2d10-189b-df3fa5f71abf?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true
The exception occurs in the new Class for the model (TimeModel.java) generated by Webdynpro:
public TimeModel() {
    super(DEFAULT_RFCMETADATA_DEST, DEFAULT_RFCDATA_DEST, WD_CONNECTION_SCOPE, TYPED_MODEL_NAME, MODEL_RFM_NAMES, TYPED_MC_RENAME_MAP, TYPED_MC_FACTORIES, IMPORT_TIME_STAMP);
Any ideas?
Best regards,
Peter

Solved the problem, some patches were not installed correctly.

It's due to recon issue. OIM has many recon processes. One such process is LDAP-OIM sync job that runs behind the scene.
It may be an issue with the 'trigger table value' which recon job depends. If 'trigger table value' is not set properly, you may get this issue.
    Do this workaround:

  • File opening throws RBS exception after migrating to a new farm with sql 2012

We have successfully migrated the SP 2010 -sql 2008 r2 wss_content to a new sp2010 farm with sql 2012. The old and new farms are configured for RBS - FIlestream.
In the new farm when tried opening a document we see the below exceptions in event viewer. The documents open fine for admin users and fail for others. I have verified all the permissions on the blob store file location and it looks good. Users have no
issue uploading new files over and below the set the file size limit.
Any suggestions on how to debug this would be great, do we need to rerun the .migrate() to realign any of the blob file references, we played around setting the max file size couple of times.

Migration - its a content db backup/restore/mount to new farm with sql 2012 from sql 2008 r2
Okie here are the results after we tried to narrow down the issue to few steps-
This issue happens on documents that are already existed in the content db prior to migration. we picked two docs from one library. DOC A and DOC B of close to same size..
DOC A - file size 64k, rbs max size set to 1mb.
Regular User and SPAdmin both can open fine, check out n check in successfully.
no entries made in event vwr of front end and DB server
DOC B - file size 64k, rbs max size set to 1mb
SPAdmin - can check out n open fine, but cannot check in back - file not available error
Regular User - cannot open the file - file not avialable at the url
Both users can view doc properties at lib level..
Errors found in event vwr of DB server -
"FILESTREAM file named with GUID '00311100-0000-51eb-f3a8-0b387bc5c5ce' that belongs to
FILESTREAM data file ID 0x10001 does not exist or cannot be opened."
    and
"The operating system returned the error '2(The system cannot find the file specified.)' while attempting 'FsDoHandler::CreateFile' on 'H:\Blob_Store\a06953ae-6f49-43b1-9c2d-fefb13bda9fe\1c581a4a-b450-4143-bc3d-8d419b49b0fb\0000eb20-000066ff-0002'
    at 'fstrman.cpp'(2075)."
I incline to believe that the references for documents in blob store could have been corrupted for some documents during the migration. Any new docs uploaded to content or to blob are all accessible fine.
I'm not sure running .migrate() will re align the blob file references? Any ideas on how to effectively get this resolved..

  • Exception with Adaptive RFC Model: WDDynamicRFCExecuteException

    Hi All,
I have created an Adaptive RFC Model and called the RFC in my Coding the standard approach that used to work before. Now, I keep receiving the following exception when executing the modelObject.execute() Method.
    com.sap.tc.webdynpro.modelimpl.dynamicrfc.WDDynamicRFCExecuteException
Does anybody know what going on? I am calling an RFC that works well and has been able to be called as an RFC before...
Is this somemthing related to the framework? Do I need a supprt package or so? Am I doing soemthing wrong?
    Thanks, Johannes

    Hi,
Place a break point in the BAPI in SAP and try to execute the application and see if the break point is triggered and check what is the output value passed back to  the application.  If this works fine then there should be no issue in the RFC side, else need to find out what is happening in the webdynpro application side.
    Regards,
    Manjunath

  • Looking for a beginner guide - Adaptive RFC  call BAPI  in Web Dynpro Java

    Hi,
im new in SAP Developeing. I developed some basic web Dynpro applications (after some tutorials) and they are all working.
Now i want to build an Web Dynpro application with an adaptive RFC Model.
I already imported the adaptive RFC Modell with a function Model (BAPI Z_...) from the R3 System successfully.
But if i deploy the application i will get following error:
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.TypeNotFoundException: type extern:mypackages.com.types.BapiModel:mypackages.com.types.Zmbs_Bapi_Dispo_Orderdata could not be loaded: com.sap.dictionary.runtime.DdException: TypeBroker failed to access SLD: Error while obtaining JCO connection.

........Looks like a have a Problem with JCO.
Is there a good guide, which explains the Basic steps in developeing Web dynpro applications and BAPI ?!

thank you guys for all the answers.I have to read all the documentations.
    to my szenario:
I installed on my notebook the Trial Versions of:
SAP NetWeaver Application Server 7.00/Java AS 7.00
SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio Version: 7.0.14
All my basic Web Dynpro Applications in Java are running (even with Adobe Interactive Forms) on the local NetWeaver Trail- Web AS Trail perfectly.
Now i want to connect per RFC to another SAPERP Server, which is in the intranet.
I did the whole RFC tutorial with the flights -
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/c3/76b45d9688e04abe1a1070410ddc1e/content.htm (also with the JCO codeing etc)
so my web dynpro application should work.
I think I have to configure - like ramesh said something on the NetWeaver Trail.
So what do i need and configure excactly on my Netweaver Trial to work with RFC - to call the BAPIS in the other System?
    - SLD ? JCO ?
If i over Web Dynpro - Content Administrator - >
it says "Connection to System Landscape Directory (SLD) could not be opended successfully." and all the buttons
create Jco destinations etc. are greyed out.
I didn´t configured the SLD and JCO in the Netweaver yet.

  • Reimporting of Adaptive RFC model

Hi all, I have added two fields in the BAPI and i have reimported the Adaptive RFC model in Web Dynpro.
After running the application and accessing the new fields, i am getting this exception.
    java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException
         at com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$MetaData.getType(JCO.java:10161)
    What could be the reason?

    Hi,
As the error states MetaData.getType it seems that the new changes are not yet reflected in the J2EE server. You need to restart your engine once. You can search this forum for a workaround  by Valery which doesnot need a restart.

  • Invalidate the Adaptive RFC Dictionary Cache

    Hi All,
I had to do RFC interface structure changes for a Webdynpro JAVA application.I had deployed the application and used the administrative function "Invalidate Adaptive RFC Dictionary Cache" within the Web Dynpro console" to explicitly invalidate the metadata cache..
Before using this tool, I was not able to run the application. This tool helped to run the application.
But When I Submit the data to the RFC from this application I get the following Exception:
    com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$MetaData.getType(JCO.java:10210)
I understand from the SAP note 859950, Metadata is not invalidated without J2EE Engine restart.
Is there any update from SAP after this note..Pls let me know if some one has done a workaround instead of restarting the SAP NW Application server.
    Thanks, Sethu

We went through this same issue many times and we opened an issue with SAP a few months ago.
The invalidate is very limited and does not handle a clustered server architecture. It is meant only for a single node, single server setup. All of our environments are multi-node and multi-server.
The tool will only invalidate the node that the Basis Administrator is currently logged onto. Therefore if your server architecture consists of > 1 node and/or > 1 servers then you will have nodes/servers that still have the previous version of the metadata cached.
SAP said the Basis administrator would have to log onto each node and run the invalidate tool. In a multi-node setup there is no easy way to do this because there is no control which node you will be put on. If you have 1 node per server then yes you can log onto each server and run the tool.
In the end SAP said they do not support the Invalidate tool in a multi-node/multi-server cluster.
They said to perform a J2EE restart, period.
    Hope that helps.

  • Application is not working after migrated to 11.1.2.4

    Hi expterts,
I developed an adf application on JDeveloper 11.1.1.6. It works without problem on 11.1.1.6.
Briefly uses following technologies: ADF faces, facelets and taskflows, EJB, hibernate...
When i wanted to go on develop with 11.1.2.4, I copied my App root folder to another folder. And chosed .jws application file from 11.1.2.4 version. Then IDE wants me to confirm about migration, then i accepted.
I develop a supplierList structure for feeding the select one choice components' selectItems. These provide load the db objects on the first calling and manages by my ListManager class.
These supplier classes initialize on the MBean init method. MBean init method calls on taskflow initializer. The project (VCUtil) that includes Supplier classes is on my main ViewController project as ADFLibrary.
But after migration when i deploy the application on my Integrated weblogic Server. oops does'nt seen my jspx screens properly on first attempt which includes supplier classes. But when i refresh the screen it can be loaded properly.
The log contains only that line:
    <20-Sep-2013 10:33:31 o'clock EEST> <Notice> <Stdout> <BEA-000000> <10:33:31,189 DEBUG [PerformanceMonitor_lsr6sq_Impl] Method public java.util.Collection com.acme.model.domain.ad.sessionbean.ADManagerBean.findCurrencies() took 167 (ms)>
<20-Sep-2013 10:33:31 o'clock EEST> <Info> <ServletContext-/RestAutomation> <BEA-000000> <JspServlet error: Servlet unable to dispatch to the following requested page: The following exception occurred:oracle.adf.controller.activity.ActivityLogicException: ADFC-06015: An exception occured when invoking a task flow initializer.>
My first supplier class is CurrencySupplier, and i can see acc.to the log it works, the second one is DepartmentSupplier class. So i expect log stdout about findDepartments() method too. But nothing, i guess when executing on CurrencySupplier there might be a wrong, that's why can not go on. But when i refresh the page at that time executes the DepartmentSupplier class. If i refresh page for Supplier class count times then page loads.
        public void init()
            try
                if (ObjectUtil.isNull(currencySupplier = (CurrencySupplier)ListManager.getInstance().getSupplier("currencies")))
                    currencySupplier = new CurrencySupplier();

    Alex,
If your implied question is, "Looks like the iMT did not migrate
    this block
of code. What is my next step?" Then I have an answer for you. If
    I
misinterpreted your email then please clarify.
The procedure for ND migration using the iMT (as outlined in the
    documentation
under <iMT_install_dir>/docs) is that customized code originally
    provided by
the ND developer is purposely commented out so that the file can
    compile.
Our experience in migration efforts shows that it is preferrable to
    the
migrator to be able to select which part of the application they
    want to
    work
on by uncommenting specific blocks of code - allowing for
    incremental
edit/compile/test cycles. If we left all this arbitary code un-
    commented,
then nothing would compile after migration and you would have a huge
    roadblock for moving forward.
Judging from the "spider" APIs which are still seen in your code
    block, you
must not have run the Regular Expression API mapping tool which
    will take
care of many of this code. I believe that the API mapper will
    migrate this
block of code almost 100% and you just need to uncomment it.

Please consider this as low priority. It differs by container; I don't remember details of any particular one.

    Number
    NameFirst
    NameLast
    Street
    HouseNo
    PostCode
    City

    -Request_NewOperation
    ---NewOperation
    ---Response
    -Response_NewOperation
This web service give no response back. He just starts the BPM Process. Everything works well, except for passing ALL values of the parameters in Context: Number, Name, Street...
When I have two streets, I want that two streets will be saved in parameter street and so on...

  • Problem in displaying a field in webdynpro using Adaptive RFC model

    HI,
I created a webdynpro application using adaptive RFC model and i have a problem in displaying one of the output fields.
When i execute the function module it is giving the exact value for my output field in this case telephone number (of type STEXT which is char with length 40).But when i am trying to display that telephone number in webdynpro application it is taking only first 4 digits.
i deleted the model and recreated it still it doesnot work.
please let me know how to resolve it.
points will be awarded for sure
    Bala

    Hi Bala,
Whenever you reimport the model server restart is necessary otherwise the changes will not get reflected. You will get an error when you deploy the application. There is no go around except restarting the server as the meta data gets cached in the server as long as the server is runnig. So, Once you restart the server the cache will be cleared.
Check once again whether you are fetching data from correct BAPI field. Still problem persist try debugging.

  • Problem in deploying EJB2.0 webservice after migration

    Hi,
Our portal server is recently upgraded from 7.01 to 7.31. As part of the migration activities, we have migrated the existing EJB 2.0 (webservice) DC's using NWDS 7.31 by adding all necessary dependencies...
After migration, the Local Build state of all DC's is "OK".
But, when i try to deploy (publish) webservice for testing, i get the below mentioned error:-

    Hi,
My issue got resolved. First I undeployed the existing one (particular DC) from deployment perspective then build the DC and deploy it. Issue gets resolved. I was facing the issue with Webdynpro Java DC.
Creating a new DC is not the solution as sometimes there are lots of DC to be migrated and its not possible to create each time a new one.
