thats exactly my problem
as i said the message is from the designer and doesn't point to any line of code
i can compile without errors and i dont have problems running my program
but i get this message if i switch to designer view and that cant be normal...

Geting the message Unexpected exception with file: java.lang.NullPointerException
Have traced the error down with the use of System.out.println(a sequential number); but having got it down to bReader.close();, I think, I'm not understanding why. I think it has something to do with the line while (text != null){
Don't fully understand yet as a newbee, but one can only learn. Like my other error (I once spent six hours on a pair of {}!!!! we all learn) I've spent two evenings now resarching and trying to solve this, so a bit of help would be very much appreciated.

When trying to connect to iTunes I get this message

I too am having this problem and have had, for about a week now.
I've found that by logging off itunes (if I can), closing it down, and then restarting it, sometimes allows it to work for one transaction (say downloading an updated app). After that it's back to the same error.
Really annoying.

I am having this issue when I am trying Email broadcasting form SAP BI Query and set the filter navigation for one of the characteristic value. Any Idea???

Hi Janine,
The query works in Java Web and in BEx Excel analyzer. This query even works in the BI email broadcasting for different filter value for the same characteristic in the filter navigation tab setting in broadcasting.
The same filter value works in Broadcasting when I am broadcasting the query as Excel attachment but does not work when I try to do a PDF report.
The popup error message is this:

Java.lang.NullPointerException in Parser

Hi,
I appreciate any idea that can help me.
I'm processing a sql sentence that can retrive 10.000 rows with XSU.
I generate xml files with 1000 rows from the resultset and then I transform this xmls into xml files based of Onix Standard.
I've nullpointer exception in random way, but I supose that there is a problem when the xml files are transformed.
There are any limitation for user parser and tranformer. I supose that there is a memory problem with this because the class consume a lot of CPU memory.

I increase -mx stack to 200 but the NullPointerexception followed showed in my screen.
In that moment I'm running the java program with jdk1.2.2, because Jdeveloper look like very hard.

Catching java.lang.NullPointerException with cftry/cfcatch?

I'm getting a java.lang.NullPointerException returned on an
update function in a CFC:
"The cause of this output exception was that:
java.lang.NullPointerException."
I want to find where it's generating this error so I can fix
it. I've never really used CFTRY and CFCATCH, but figured now would
be a good time to learn if this helped me track down the null. Can
anyone provide an example of how to use these tags with the above
NPE and output a message that give info on where it's faulting?
I'm using a standard update query,

That was a great tip Dan. Helped me find the line. Apparently
a datatype "date" was given an incorrect null value. I figured the
problem and the update works now :)

I have it working again. I deployed from a different machine with JDEV installed and everything works again! Not sure why it doesn't work anymore from my original machine where I have been developing from for months.

I have fixed the problem, but still not sure what caused it. I redeployed the app from a different machine and it all works again. Not sure what caused it to stop working when deployed from the original machine.

When you call the method with your BallA variable, the value of the variable is examined and it's passed to the method. So you can't pass the name of a variable where you'd want to store some object you created in the method.
But you don't need to either, so there's no harm done.

I have tried to generate the paramenter index in going into execute tab.
Acutally I have two database one is SH(for sales fact table) as source and other is SHTST (for target w_sales_F).
when i go into that it try to click on generate button it shows only for SHTST not for SH
more over in SHTST the value is coming as Informatica folder Sales where i created all mapping.
SH and SHTST both are in same database oracle 10g.
please help

Java.lang.NullPointerException during MySQL 5.0 migration

The error occurs at the end of the migration process of 150 tables and 4,917 columns. The error occurs with either "Quick Migrate" or "Capture Schema".
Additional error;

Any ideas as to the issue?
