  • Getting mandatory attribute validation error when the value is defaulted through customization

    Hi
    I am getting Mandatory attribute validation error when we default the value through customization.
    In the UI we have attribute called Last Name which is mandatory at EO level. Customer wanted to default Last name to some value, through page composer it is defaulted to some text and saved.
    When ever we open the page the the same value is defaulted as Last Name and appearing in the UI. But when we submit the page, EO level validation is failing. hence we are getting last name is missing.
    When i debug the code last name attribute value for EO is blank.
    In the UI the attribute last name is associated with bindings  --> #{bindings.lastname.inputvalue}
    The validation is failing if we remove the default binding associated with inputtext box.
    Can some body help what can be reason and is there any solution?
    Thanks,
    Praveen

    version 12.1.2
    I am struggling with same situation, I can't set the default value at business component because, the default value comes from a REST service at run time. In page A,  I have a field F1 that contains value from REST service. Page B has a database bound field F2, whose default value should come from F1 in Page A when a user navigates from Page A to Page B. If I set the value of F2 to be the value of F1, then it displays the value in the UI, but nothing gets submitted to EO and fails at commit.
    To make things difficult, here is my situation: Page A lives in bounded taskflow TF1, and Page B lives in bounded taskflow TF2. So I have created an input parameter P1 in TF 2, which carries over the value of F1 in Page A to Page B. When I am in Page B, I can successfully see the value of the taskflow input parameter P1. So, how do I  programmatically set the value of field F2 with the value of input parameter P1?
    I tried setting the F2.inputValue  in a method call M1 in  taskflow TF2 prior to Page B, but I get null pointer exception as it can't see field F2 yet.
    It seems like a simple thing to do, but I have spent a lot of time trying to make it work without any success.
    I would greatly appreciate any guidance.

    HibernateSystemException: exception getting property value with CGLIB
    does anyone know what it means?

    check the setter method for the property LANG_CD in com.dst.fourx.model.codeModel.CodeGroupDisplay.
    it must be like -
    setNlsLanguage(CodesGroup xyz) { ... }
    The paremeters must be objects, not the type of the database column. We can specify the actual field in CodesGroup which acts as the foreign key in CodeGroupDisplay in the "property-ref" attribute of <many-to-one> element in the mapping file for CodeGroupDisplay.
    This worked for me. Hope it works for you too.

You assign to it only once, two lines above. How could that assignment be null? pls help,

    If you are using IE go to tool and then internet options and look under privacy for you cookie status(this will vary version).
    To use URL rewriting all you have to do is one of two things:
    www.url.com?parm=value&param2=value
    or if the value is a result of a java expression or is a java variable you can do
    www.url.com?parm=<%=variable%>&param2=<%=(variable +1)%>
    You get the values from url rewriting by using request.getParameter or getParameterValues(used when multiple values are getting passed).
    When data is retrieved using getParameter it always comes back as a string and you should trim them as well.

  • How to get all attributes of a component

    Hi all,
    In a component I'm trying to get attributes of some primefaces components, but somehow I cannot retrieve them all.
    Here's a little bit of a table:
              <p:dataTable styleClass="ptable100" title="${msg.contractlist_title}" id="contractlistTable" var="contract" value="#{contractList.contracts}" width="100%" height="200px"
                        emptyMessage="#{msg.all_lists_no_records_found}" paginator="#{contractList.rowSize > 10}" rows="10" rowsPerPageTemplate="5,10,20,50,100"
                        paginatorTemplate="{FirstPageLink} {PreviousPageLink} {PageLinks} {NextPageLink} {LastPageLink}  #{msg.all_lists_numberOfRowsDisplayed_label}{RowsPerPageDropdown}">
                   <p:column id="column_id" resizable="true" sortBy="#{contract.id}" style="white-space:normal">
                      <f:facet name="header"><h:outputText styleClass="headerText" value="#{msg.contractlist_contract_id}" /></f:facet>

                             <f:param name="contractid" value="#{contract.id}" />
                         </h:outputLink>
                  </p:column>Then, I try to get the attributes like this (where table is the UIData component):
              String title = "";
              System.out.println("table.getAttribs.keys= " + table.getAttributes().keySet());
              System.out.println("table.getAttribs.vals= " + table.getAttributes().values());
              if (table.getAttributes().containsKey("title")) {
                   title = String.valueOf(table.getAttributes().get("title"));
              }The function getAttributes() is implemented on UIComponentBase so I believe it's independent of the component.
    This prints the following:
    table.getAttribs.keys= [com.sun.facelets.MARK_ID]
    table.getAttribs.vals= [5756abfa]When I do the same for the columns, all attributes I get is MARK_ID, style and styleClass.
    Obviously I'd like to get all attributes, in this case the "title" on the p:dataTable.
    Any thoughts why this isn't working and how I could do that?

    <complexType>
    <attribute name="format" type="string" use="default"

    This was suggested previously:
    <element name="birthdate" minOccurs="1" maxOccurs="unbounded"

    <complexType>
    <attribute name="format" type="string" use="default"
    value="CCYYMMDD"/>
    </complexType>

    where the type in the <element> is changed to base but it gives the message:

    <element name="birthdate" minOccurs="1" maxOccurs="unbounded">
    <complexType content="mixed">
    <attribute name="format" type="string" use="default"
    value="CCYYMMDD"/>

    </simpleType>
    </element>
    How can I have both attributes and type checking on a simple element?

    Did you try the following:
    <element name = "birthdate">
    <complexType>
    <complexContent>
    <extension base="nonNegativeInteger">
    <attribute name="format"
    type="string"/>
    use="default"
    value="CCYYMMDD"/>
    </extension>
    </complexContent>
    </complexType>
    </element>
    The element is defined to be a complexType and having complexContent because it has an attribute. The complexContent can have either extension or restriction as its children. They define the type of derivation of the element from the base.
    Hope this helps..
    Cheers,
    Chetan

  • Getting User Attributes from an Active Directory LDAP

    Hello all.
    I want to extract attributes assigned to a user in the Active Directory LDAP and make them available through the getPropertyValue property in Javascript. I know that a user's System Attributes can be accessed with getPropertyValue but I have not found a way to get specific attributes from the LDAP and make them available as specific attributes in xMII. System attributes like "EmailAddress1" seem to transfer from the LDAP but others don't. Anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks.
    ...Sparks

    Sparks,
    If you're using 11.5 or 12 actually they should all map into the system as session properties.  You can use the following URL to verify your session properties:
    http://<xMIIServer>/Lighthammer/PropertyAccessServlet?Mode=List
    If you are not seeing the attributes you expect then your Attribute Query for User or Role is incorrect for your LDAP system and you need to change the LDAP configuration queries.

    TagLib how can I get the Attribute value (like JavaBean) in jsp .
    I do this thing.
    public void setPageContext(PageContext p) {
              pc = p;
    pc.setAttribute("id", new String("1") );
              pc.setAttribute("first_name",new String("Siddharth")); //,pc.SESSION_SCOPE);
              pc.setAttribute("last_name", new String("singh"));
    but in Jsp
    <td>
    <%=pageContext.getAttribute("first_name"); %>
    cause null is returing.
    Pls HELP me
    with regards
    Siddharth Singh

    First, there is no need to pass in the page context to the tag. It already is present. How you get to it depends on what type of tag:
    Using [url http://java.sun.com/j2ee/1.4/docs/api/javax/servlet/jsp/tagext/SimpleTagSupport.html]SimpleTagSupport
    public class MyTag extends SimpleTagSupport
      public void doTag()
        PageContext pc = (PageContext)getJspContext();
        pc.setAttribute("first_name", "Siddharth");
        pc.setAttribute("last_name", "Singh");
        pc.setAttribute("id", "1");
    }Using [url http://java.sun.com/j2ee/1.4/docs/api/javax/servlet/jsp/tagext/TagSupport.html]TagSupport or it's subclass [url http://java.sun.com/j2ee/1.4/docs/api/javax/servlet/jsp/tagext/BodyTagSupport.html]BodyTagSupport the page context is aleady declared as an implicit object:
    public class MyTag extends TagSupport
      public void doStartTag()
        pageContext.setAttribute("first_name", "Siddharth");
        pageContext.setAttribute("last_name", "Singh");
        pageContext.setAttribute("id", "1");
    }In each case, this sort of thing should work:
    <mytags:MyTag />
    <%= pageContext.getAttribute("first_name") %>I
