Exception Using Generate Metadata in OIF 11.1.1.4

I am conducting some initial tests using OIF version 11.1.1.4 on a WebLogic 10.3.5 domain on LINUX which is also configured with SOA Suite 11.1.1.5. Attempting to use the Generate Metadata button to export Identity Provider and Service Provider data inside the Fusion console (http://myhost.mydomain.com:9001/em ) is generating the following error:
####<Feb 10, 2013 7:34:16 PM CST> <Error> <HTTP> <myhost.mydomain.com> <admin> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '1' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <<WLS Kernel>> <> <fd994b6845794ae9:771e4863:13cc5cd01eb:-8000-0000000000005df0> <1360546456910> <BEA-101020> <[ServletContext@403238802[app:oif module:/fed path:/fed spec-version:2.5 version:11.1.1.2.0]] Servlet failed with Exception java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (oracle.security.jps.service.credstore.CredentialAccessPermission context=SYSTEM,mapName=OIF,keyName=userldappassword read)
at java.security.AccessControlContext.checkPermission(AccessControlContext.java:374)
In plain language, the error is saying that the oif application requires a CSF map named OIF to be present with an entry granting read access to the userldappassword entry in the WebLogic security realm's CSF. That permission isn't present so the retrieval fails and the metadata cannot be exported. Strangely, whatever write access needed by the oif app is present because any changes to Security Provider or Identity Provider data is saved and retained between WebLogic domain restarts.
I've reviewed the installation steps for OIF and a few tips on various blogs and cannot find any reference to special scripts that should have been executed to add these permissions to the WebLogic domain's security realm and CSF stuff. I've attempted to manually add the OIF map to the domain's Credentials then add that userldappassword key and it seems to appear successfully in the map but still doesn't fix the problem.
Also, I found references to issues with running OIF in the same domain as SOA due to conflicts with $ORACLE_HOME. The fix for that is to manually copy all of the files in $IDM_ORACLE_HOME/fed/scripts into the WebLogic binary installation's directory at $WL_HOME/common/wlst and append $IDM_ORACLE_HOME/fed/scripts to the $CLASSPATH. That didn't fix this particular problem however.
Thanks for any help.

Look to be a hot swap issue. I don't think you can do anything about this but opening a SR with support, who'll tell you to upgrade to 12c.

  • Application Exception using @Application not working

    I'm trying to create 2 business application exception using the @Application annotation on my 2 java exception class. The first exception is a StarException class that extends java.lang.Exception (per ejb 3.0 spec). Below is snippet of the class.
    @ApplicationException(rollback=true)
    public class StarException extends Exception {...}.
    As you can tell that this is a check exception and will rollback transaction when it occurred. I have another exception class called StarRuntimeException that extends java.lang.RuntimeException. This is also mention on ejb 3.0 spec and is useful if you don't want to catch the exception on the server side and just throw it and the client will receive such application exception class. Below is a snippet of the class ...
    @ApplicationException(rollback=false)
    public class StarRuntimeException extends RuntimeException {...}.
    By the way I'm using this exception in my wls 10.3 webservices stateless beans (jax-rpc 1.1). Some of the methods throws these 2 exceptions.
    There are 2 problems with this application exception during runtime on the client side.
    1. Regarding StarException, the client can catch this exception when the webservice method throws this exception. The problem is that the error messages is null. Tried both getMesssage() and getLocalizedMessage() are all null.
    2. Regarding StarRuntimeException, the generated client stubs and artifacts does not even throw this exception, therefore it will not the caught. This exception is wrapped inside RemoteException instead.
    Your help are needed. Thanks

    Ok. I figured it out. The url rewrite was missing in the config. Put it there and its working now.

  • JDBC / Servlet / ": Io exception: SO Exception was generated"

    Hi,
    i am trying to write a simple Servlet program that would access oracle 9i database and display the names in the "emp" table in the form of a html page.
    I am using tomcat 4.0, jdk1.2.2, oracle 9i, windows 98.
    I am getting this exception as the outoput of the program:

    The input of the program will be through a html file, with a form that will ask the user for his/her name(this has got nothing to do with the logic of the program.. just for the sake of using a html form):

    The getMetaVersion is not the problem, it works ok.
    the problem is the second connection
    conn = DriverManager.getConnection ("jdbc:oracle:thin:@database",info);
    This is exactly as it is illustrated in the "JDBC Developer?s Guide and R
    Reference" from oracle for release 9.2 Part No. A96654-01 page 3-8
    //import packages and register the driver
    import java.sql.*;
    import java.math.*;
    DriverManager.registerDriver (new oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver());
    //specify the properties object
    java.util.Properties info = new java.util.Properties();
    info.put ("user", "sys");
    info.put ("password", "change_on_install");
    info.put ("internal_logon","sysdba");

    My database version is oracle8.15,
    I use jdk1.4 so I download new jdbc driver from oracle website.Its version is Oracle9i Release 2 (9.2.0.1).
    1. When connect in thin mode, I set the classpath include ojdbc14_g.jar,ocrs12.zip, and nls_charset12.zip, but the error occured: Io Exeption: SO Exception was generated
    2. When connect in oci mode, I set the classpath include ojdbc14_g.jar,ocrs12.zip,nls_charset12.zip, and oci_nt.tar. The error occured: no ocijdbc9. But I have include the oci_nt in the classpath and this ocijdbc9 is just in the oci_nt.tar.
    How to solve these two problem. Please help me.Thanks

    You are using Oracle JDBC drivers that are incompatible with your version of Oracle. You need to download the Oracle driver set that includes classes12.jar or classes12.zip.

  • How to make use of metadata in OA Framework?

    Hi,
    I have requirement to create a table structure dynamically and i need to create a view object dynamically with tablename and column name passed dynamically . I have heard of metadata concept.
    My question is How can we make use of metadata in OA framework?
    Any code scriplet of making use of metadata in OA framework will be of great help.
    -Mithun

    I am assuming that by metadata you meant MDS. Now coming to your scenario, unless you provide the detailed scenario, we can't suggest the proper approach. Is the number of columns, column name etc fixed or even that will vary in your scenario?

  • How to use SharePoint Metadata in MS Excel

    Hi,
    I would like to use the metadata from a SharePoint library in an Excel file without a VBA scripts. How can I get these metadata into an Excel file?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    In MS Word we have the possibility to use a library's metadata by using "Quick Parts" and "Document Properties". Unfortunatly, MS Word is not very confortable in contrast to MS Excel. Therefore we are looking for a solution to use the metadata of a sharepoint
    library in an Excel sheet.
    For example: We have implemented a customized Excel file with calculated columns. This excel file should be a, lets say a measurement protocol.
    By creating a new document (Excel Template) we want to add only the measurements. The metadata shall appear within the template. (LookUps, Date, Responsible, ID, etc.)
    Export the data into an excel file is very redundant. Because you have the data inside the library and in the excel file. Copying, Sending, Renaming, etc.. I just was wondering why MS Word has this option and MS Excel not? Do you know how I can use those
    metadata from SharePoint?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Caml query using managed metadata column

    hi,
     I am having a console appln, where i want  to pass the one paramater in the form of siteCol1:subsite1:subsite2  where  siteCol1:subsite1:subsite2 is the path of subsite which is in MMS.
    Can i pass this string paramter to the splist which contains a taxonomy column   and match this paramter in the listitemcollection and fetch only those recordw which matches this crirteria.
    and it should fetch the values which matches in a splist. the caml query it expects contains the taxonomy -managed metadata column - , but i am stuck with
    SPList splistLIST = parenttWeb.Lists.TryGetList("LIST1");
                          if ((splistLIST.Items.Count > 0 && splistLIST!= null))
                              SPQuery   objnodeQuery = new SPQuery();
                              objnodeQuery.Query =
                                  string.Format(
           "<OrderBy>" +
              "<FieldRef Name='ID' />" +
           "</OrderBy>" +
           "<Where>" +
              "<Eq>" +
                 "<FieldRef Name='myTaxonomy' />" +
                 "<Value Type='Text'>{0}</Value>" +
              "</Eq>" +
           "</Where>", _mcurrentPathTermSet);
                              SPListItemCollection nodeItemCollection = splistLIST1.GetItems(objnodeQuery);
    am not able to retrieve the listitems which passes this as a parameter and retrieve those records where it matches this taxonomy column.
    my doubt is, how to pass a string parameter to the splist contains taxonomy column and fetch those records

    Hi,
    Managed metada column does not supported in lookup column as the thread below:
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/0dee5ba4-9648-445f-a774-8c59cf01b81c/confirmation-needed-cant-lookup-managed-metadata-field-with-lookup-column?forum=sharepointgeneralprevious
    If you prefer managed metadata in Search, then I'd suggest you find workaround to use managed metadata column in lookup column. You could use a workflow to copy the managed metadata column to a text field, make the text field to be hidded from the list if
    necessary. Then lookup this text field in other list.

  • How to run exception using JSP?

    How to run exception using JSP?

    Why would you need the <%%> between the if else blocks? Even if you attempt to write some data within the blocks in java, you will still get an error. For example, this is illegal:
    if(done)
        System.out.println(true);
    System.out.println("Hello World");
    else
        System.out.println(false);
    }The compiler is expecting the 'else' to be directly after the body of the if. If it encounters anything else, it will complain. So you cannot do this in jsp either, regardless if it's a different technology, it's the same compiler.

  • How to use Generate Synchronization Parameters for PSK modulation and demodulation

    Hi I am trying to use Generate Synchronization Parameters.vi to sync the recovered stream after demodulation and my input stream to modualtion block but I don't know how to work with this block to sync input stream with output stream. Also would you please let me know what are the ways to sync input bits and demodulation  bit stream.I really appreciated your help
    Thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi en99,
    In order to use "MT Generate Synchronization Parameters.vi" you must wire in the following on your block diagram:
    The system parameters created in "MT Generate System Parameters.vi" needs to be wired directly to the sync vi.
    The synchronization parameters need to be wired direct to "MT Demodulate.vi"
    The synchronization bits can be wired into the sync vi direct from "MT Generate Bits.vi"
    What I have done is taken your 11.vi that you uploaded in your previous post and altered it to contain the sync vi. I have saved it as a 2010 version.
    I hope this information helps!

  • Can another reporting tool use the metadata from BI Server?

    Does anyone know if an external reporting tool can use the metadata and security that exists in the Repository? We want to leverage the metadata in the BI Server using a tool other than Answers.

    Hi
    You have an option. There is a client tool 'Oracle BI Publisher Client' where you will be able to see the Presentation columns and create your own reports there. I have used this before in word and I guess it is still the same way for Excel. Check for yourself. The difference between BI Office plug-in and Oracle BI Publisher Desktop is that later allows to see columns to create new reports.
    BI Publisher is Advanced Reporting in BI EE Plus
    • BI Server semantic layer as a data source
    • BI Answers request as a data source
    • BI Publisher report in a Dashboard w/ prompts
    • Security
    Verify for Excel though.
    Good Luck
