Exception when begin process via Global Automatic JMS task

I have a process that works when I invoke it via a global creation task. However, when I try to invoke it automatically via a global automatic task listening to a JMS queue, I get the following exceptions and the instance fails.

Hi,
Sure this is just my confusion, but if I'm reading this correctly, you're trying to use an instance variable in a Global Automatic.
If this is the case, I know this sounds odd, but you don't have access to instance variables inside a Global Automatic. You can create an instance inside the logic of one of these activities if you call the Fuego.Lib.ProcessInstance method "createInstance". For this method you'll notice that one of the parameters it expects is a Any[String]. You'll need to populate this hash table to set instance variable in the instance you're creating.

  • Create Process via Global Automatic activity

    Hi!
    I´m trying to automatize some process, that can auto-execute one time at a day. For this, i'm thinking of use the global automatic activity, and I 've scheduled to execute (for testing) every minute. But this never happends
    If the global has no bp.Method inside, obviusly, nothing happends. Hence, when i wrote this code:
    logMessage "Se ha iniciado el proceso de consulta de calendario a las:" +'now'
         using severity = INFO
    ProcessInstance.create(processId : "/ConsultarCalendarioCompras", arguments : null, argumentsSetName : "")
    how could i solve this?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Are you seeing your log INFO statement in the log file every minute? Assuming you are, I think all you're missing is a valid value for the third parameter. Try changing your logic to this:
    ProcessInstance.create(processId : "/ConsultarCalendarioCompras",
         arguments : null, argumentsSetName : "BeginIn")
    . . .Once you get this working, take a look at this thread for information on how to pass in argument variables into the work item instance using the second parameter: Re: How to create Instace of another process from running process.
    Hope this helps,

    Looking at the LDAP access log the error code is B1 which means that the client closed the connection without sending an unbind request or it could also mean that the client sent a malformed request to the server. The project being deployed is quite big and fails when storing the catalog, could the size have something to do with it (this worked in v5.1) is this a bug in 5.7?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Trigger a Begin event running Global Automatic activity

    Hi
    I have a situation explained as follows:
    The BPM Process flow would be triggered when a message comes into a JMS Queue.
    I have configured the JMS Messaging Service as an external resource and used a Global Automatic Activity as an Automatic JMS Listener to listen on that queue.
    Once the message is received on the queue, I want my actual process flow to be instantiated and activities following the begin activity to be executed.
    In the Studio Reference document, it is mentioned that
    You can trigger a Begin event running Global Automatic activity.
    Can someone tell me the steps to trigger the Begin Event from Global Automatic Activity and create the process instance.
    Thanks

    You have to call this method
    ProcessInstance.create(arguments : args, argumentsSetName : "BeginIn")
    Args is Any[String] where you put you input arguments that you have in your begin activity and BeginIn is the set of arguments you have in the begin activity.

  • Polling or JMS Message in Global Automatic

    Hi,
    I am currently working on a process which uses a Global Automatic activity to invoke a process instance. The process instance is invoked when the process receives some ticket information ( ticket id, type of ticket, customer name etc.) from an external application. This information is passed to the process using a web-service.
    Now, I am confused whether to use JMS message or Polling by Interval inside of the Global Automatic acitivity to receive the message with the ticket information. Could anyone please suggest..
    Also does anybody have an example of invoking a process instance after receiving a JMS message...?

    HI!!!
    In this URL of the Glorius bea.edocs.com, there is an example about working with JMS

  • Exception in OSM 7.0 when XSLT Automator received message from JMS

    Hi
    I have been prototyping on OSM 7.0 on Linux. I have a simple project, with two "Automated tasks" and some manual tasks.
    The first Automated task is using a XSLT Sender, and sends a message to a JSM queue "A".
    The second Automated task is using a XSLT Automator to listen for a JMS message received from an external system in JMS queue "B".
    I have setup a JMS bridge on the WebLogic server where OMS is running, so that messages in queue "A" are forwared to queue "B".
    So I am seeing messages being sent to queue A and then forwarded to queue B.
    However, I keep getting exceptions when OSM is trying to process the messages received at queue B.
    It complains about "ORA-20503: no current hist_seq_id found for given automation context.".
    Does anybody know what this means ?
    At first I thought it might be the "JMSCorrelationId" for the message which arrived at queue B which was wrong, but that does not seem to be the case, because if I sent a dummy message with a dummy JMS correlation id, then I get another exception : "ORA-20502: Automation context not found.". This exception is ok, and I understand the reason for it.
    Here are som excerpts from the log file for the "no current hist_seq_id found" case :

  • Webservice vs JMS in Global Automatic

    Hi all,
    My client wants to automatically initiate a process after receiving some information from a web service. I have to use a Global Automatic activity to do so. I understand that the Global Automatic activity has an option to listen to an automatic JMS message and trigger/start/initiate the process..
    But the global automatic activity has no option to trigger/start/initiate the process after receiving some information from a web service. Can this be done irrespective of whether the Global Automatic activity has the option or not? Or do I have to only use JMS message to trigger the process?

  • User is getting email delivery failure when processing via SAP as it tries to send an email to a user who have left the company

    Hi Experts,
    I need to remove a name on a group list in Outlook as the user is getting email delivery failure when processing via SAP (He sends the invoice for approval and emails get sent to different users for approval.) One of those users has left the company and so the user gets a email delivery failure error.
    How do I remove this user who is no longer with the company?
    The user is saying: When I approve an invoice in SAP it sends an email notification through outlook. One of those users is no longer with the company so it cannot deliver the notification, and in return send a delivery failure (in outlook). I am approving the invoices from my SAP Workplace inbox.
    How do we know what group the email is going to?
    Please let me know if you have seen this issue before. Greatly appreciate your help.
    Thanks,
    Asad

    Hi,
    Please check whether you are using a custom z program for sending emails of approved invoices to users. If yes then either the user email ids are hardcoded in the program else a ztable is maintained for them.

  • Global Automatic Activity - Process to Process

    I am not sure what you saying..Did u mean Global Creation ? But that would have a user to invoke the process..I want to invoke it automatically...I got a part of the answer...But it takes all instances..and creates multiple instances..I want to isolate the instances previously been transferred..What I am doing is ..Using a Global Automatic to invoke the other process.Writing a PAPI code to call the other process from this process...and Polling By Interval every 1m..
    Here is a code:-
    ProcessService ps;
    ps.connectTo(url : Fuego.Server.directoryURL, user : (String)BusinessParameter.getValue(name : "USER_NAME"), password : (String)BusinessParameter.getValue(name : "PASSWORD"));
    logMessage("Process Service connected--->" );

    InstanceFilter instanceFilter;
    instanceFilter.create(processService : ps);
    SearchScope searchScope = new SearchScope(ParticipantScope.ALL,StatusScope.INPROCESS_AND_COMPLETED);
    instanceFilter.searchScope = searchScope;
    result2 = businessProcess.getInstancesByFilter(filter : instanceFilter);
    logMessage("Length ==>" +length(result2));

  • Process creation using Global Automatic Activity - OBPM 10g

    Hi,  I would like create the process instance for my application on every 2nd business day of a month. I also have a calendar defined for checking business day.  But I am unable to figure out to how use that calendar to determine second business day of any month. Global Automatic type is set to Automatic schedule and monthy option was selected. But I believe this would trigger the process on every second day of the month, without considering the fact whether its  business day or not. There is Runs on Holidays checkbox, but not sure what it really does. If it checks for holidays then which calendar does it refers to. Hence, please let me know how can i specify a calendar or any alternate solution to trigger process creation. Thanks, Namit

    Here is a code:-
    ProcessService ps;
    ps.connectTo(url : Fuego.Server.directoryURL, user : (String)BusinessParameter.getValue(name : "USER_NAME"), password : (String)BusinessParameter.getValue(name : "PASSWORD"));
    logMessage("Process Service connected--->" );
    businessProcess = ps.getProcess(process : "StartProcess");
    InstanceFilter instanceFilter;
    instanceFilter.create(processService : ps);
    SearchScope searchScope = new SearchScope(ParticipantScope.ALL,StatusScope.INPROCESS_AND_COMPLETED);
    instanceFilter.searchScope = searchScope;
    result2 = businessProcess.getInstancesByFilter(filter : instanceFilter);
    logMessage("Length ==>" +length(result2));
    length = length(result2);
    logMessage("Length Transferred==>" +length);
    test["name"] = "testing";
    if(length > 0)
         for(int i=0; i < length; i++)
              ProcessInstance.create(arguments : test, argumentsSetName : "BeginIn");
    else
         logMessage("length is-->" + length);
    length = 0;
    Any suggestions on how to isolate the previous obtained instances would be appreciated..

  • Process Chain Triggered automatically when transported to test system

    Hi All,
    We modified several process chain and transported the process chain to Test system.
    Few Process chain triggered automatically as the varient was set to immediate in development system.
    Now we want to move the process chain to production. Do we need
    1. new transport request with the variant to future date and discard the transport request which created issues
    2. New transport request with the variant to future date and transport the new along with the old transport to production system
    3. Change the start date in Test system and transport the same request to production
    Kindly advice me on the action to be taken.

    Regarding 2: When the old transport is imported into production the start will be set to immediately and the process chain will execute. You should not use this option.
    Regarding 3: Changing in Test system will not affect the content of the transport, it will still be the same as released from Dev.
    We have avoided this annoying problem with process chains being executed when transports are imported by creating a "parent" process chain that simply triggers the process chain in question. This "parent" chain should not be transported. You then set the start option for the original process chain to "start by API/Event" then you can transport the original process chain whenever you want without any risk of the process chain being executed.

  • Runtime exception when processing target-fieldmapping

    Hi guys,
    Mine is a scenario from ECC to MDM. I have to trigger INFORECMASS Idoc through Transaction ME18. It's working fine and I am able to see the correct output in  the appropriate folder in MDM.
    I gotta new requirement. Now it's triggering one Idoc for one record and we want an xml for about say 1000 records or may be even 1500 records. Using Transaction MDM_CLNT_EXTR we trigger an Idoc that has many segments, mainly over a range, and then I get the following error in SXMB_MONI
    Runtime exception occurred during application mapping com/sap/xi/tf/_MM_INFRECMASS_ECC_to_MDM_; com.sap.aii.mappingtool.tf7.MessageMappingException: Runtime exception when processing target-fieldmapping /ns0:MT_INFRECMASS_Receiver/INFREC_Receiv~<
    This is the error that I get. The strange thing is that even now when I trigger using ME18, I am getting the correct output. Why am I getting this error when I trigger the other way around ?
    Regards
    Harish Babu

    Hi Baskar,
    I changed the mapping. I removed the ABS function. It's still throwing the same error. Now when I copy the payload from SXMB_MONI and test in Mapping in ESR, it's working fine. But the same source file throws error in SXMB_MONI. The xml that works in Test tab should certainly work in SXMB_MONI also, shouldn't it?
    So I guess it is a different error.
    Runtime exception occurred during application mapping com/sap/xi/tf/_MM_INFRECMASS_ECC_to_MDM_; com.sap.aii.mappingtool.tf7.MessageMappingException: Runtime exception when processing target-fieldmapping /ns0:MT_INFRECMASS_Receiver/INFREC_Receiver
    I must add that the INFREC_Receiver is the root node of the target file and I have kept it 0..unbounded and fields 0...1. But the source has many segements of the Idoc, so should I change them ?

    * Where I have to put my server application? I supose that I must create a jar, save it on a folder and execute it at PC start-up, right?Your server application will exist on a server and will run the application. hence the reason for the server. The best best for you is to read some online tutorials on client/server and how it works.
