dear all i'm using the latest oracle BPM 10G studio and i get this excpetion whenever i try to create a new instance fo my process
i increased the max size for instance in engine pref but no use
any idea what meight be casuing this error
another thing please i clecked the check box in the Start Engine dialog box so that it wont apear again is there any way to get this dialog box showing again ??? because i need to delete the old instances may be this causing this problema

I had a similar problem and tried changing the max size of variables. But, as you said, it was of no use.
I later found that my .project.xpld was corrupted due to a merge conflict. Using the older version of this file, solved my issue.
I would suggest you to see if you had changes in project.xpld that may be causing it. Try moving to the working copy and do them again.

Problems when creating a new instance of an Input parameter for a REM

I am working in a small demo which calls a Remote Enable Function Module in order to read data from the back end system. Since the function module I need to call ("BP_BUPA_SEARCH_BY_USER") is not Remote Enable I created a copy of it and made it Remote Enable ("Z_BUPA_SEARCH_BY_USER"). I have created the model within webdynpro without any problems but when my application reaches the line where I create a new instance of the object Z_Bupa_Search_By_User_Input (see below the source code), just before to call the remote function, the application stops there. I have exactly the same code in another bapi calls and it works fine. I am wondering if my problem has anything to do with the fact the function module i am calling is the function module I created. Any advice is very welcome.

Cant sign into twitter except when using a new privacy window

I am having a problem signing into my twitter except when I use the "new privacy window" tab. Then I can sign in without any issues

This issue can be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked.
*check the permissions on the about:permissions page and in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"

Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.

Running into strange errors when creating a new instance

The ORA-00942 is okay because there is no existing object. But what stuck me is the ORA-01921 error which may indicate that this might not be a new database.

Are there any existing databases on this server? Have you tried to create it on other machine?I searched on Metalink too and found Doc ID: 237486.1 ORA-29807 Signalled While Creating Database using DBCA which say that eroror could be ignored. You may want to review that as well.

PS2013 - When creating a new instance of Project Server hangs in 'Waiting for resources' status

Hi,
I have one instance of Project Server 2013 fully operational and I tried to duplicate the instance to make some tests. As I know the issue of using the same Content Database of Project Server in the same Server Farm, I used the powershell backup/restore/dismount
and mount the content database to change the site IDs to avoid index duplication. The Project server database was a regular SQL backup and restore in another database.
I created a new Web App in the port 90 as show below.
Then I included the Content database of Project Server as separated DB from SharePoint for this new SharePoint -acme90 and I tried to create the new instance. The creation hanged in "Waiting for Resources" status.
To make another check excluding the reuse of the SharePoint-80 I tried to create another instance both in the SharePoint-80 where is the working instance and in the SharePoint-90, everything default and again they all hanged in Waiting for Resource.
If I try to create the instance using PowerShell I got the following error:

All SharePoint and Project Server services are running, all App Pools and sites are started at the IIS. I could not find a hanging timer job.
I cannot stop the hanged process or dismount the instances using Powershell since no instance created.
How should I solve the hanging status of creation of the instance? As they are in Hyper-V I can go back using one snapshot.

Thank your for your interest in this case.
I checked for running and crashed PWA jobs and deleted all of them just after restoring the snapshot and tried to create the new instance in the new web app in port 90 (besides the existing and working instance in port 80), but again it hanged in "waiting
for resources". There is not any timer job hanging, no error in event viewer or in log. So the error is well before working with cloned dbs.
Answering your questiion, I am working all on 2013. My intention is backup one instance of the port 80 and copy to the instance of port 90, changing of course the url and the index of the content db of SharePoint. The process I used was:
Create a new web app in port 90, creating a new SharePoint_Content_2 on a
http://server:90 site.
Created the top level site called Portal using the Team Site template.
Create a new content db for new instance of Project Server named EPM_Content_2 using Central Admin.
Backup content db from port 80 instance of Project Server and restore to this EPM_content_2 using PowerShell cmd.
Dismounted and mounted this Project Server content db to create new index for existing sites to avoid index conflicts.
Backup the Project Server DB from port 80 using SQL backup and restored as ProjectWebApp2 db for port 90 instance.
Tried to create a new instance of Project Server
http://server:90/pwa on web app of port 90 using the ProjectWebApp2 db and using the same app pool of the other instance. But as in the previous case, it hang out in "Waiting for resources".

No data found exception when calling a new page from existing page

hi i have a screen which has a delivery id and i am calling a new page with a different view object and a application module.I need to pass this delivery id in the main page to the view object query in the second page.

Provide the complete error stack.
From the current error line it shows that your custom region/page /xxt/oracle/apps/AK/om/webui/deliverydetailpg is not present in the MDS. Did you use xmlimport to set the page xml into MDS? If yes, use jdr_utils package to confirm it is present at the right location.

What could be the reason for this problem?

Titanium PB with fans running constantly except when loading a new OS

As soon as the PB "on" switch is pressed the fans come on and run constantly unless I am doing a startup from an OS Disc. Then the fans do not come on and the machine runs well until the install is complete.
Once the machine restarts after the install the fans come on again and do not shut off until the machine goes to sleep which takes between 10 seconds and a minute.
How do I turn off the fans with the OS s/w and how do I stop the machine from going to sleep within 10 seconds or so of "normal" operation??
This is a most puzzling mode of operation for a PB.

More experiments with the PB G4;
Following some of the leads in the Aluminun PB narcolepsy issue I have used the TDM to extract several extensions from the system library.

And the bundle named ;PowerManagementBundle.
Of these the ApplePMU seems to make the most difference. Without it the machine will run for hours, but not at full speed for some unknown reason.
The power down sequence is also not normal since the machine OS will shut down when I tell it to shutdown but the unit will not power off. Turning power off with the power button causes a time reset and the machine will restart when requested as it was before.
This AM I returned the extension for the Fan to the extension folder and the machine still ran but the shutdown sequence was as before.
More on these mods to the extensions later.
I may try these same extension(or similar) experiments with OS 10.4.

Creating a new instance!

I need to rebuild my SCCM2012 site server. I already have a SQL2012 server housing 1 instance. I need to create a new instance on this production SQl2012 server.
When createing a new instance during the setup SQLwizard will it take the other instances already running offline during the configuration?

No, but as Ashwin suggested after applying SP you may have to reboot that brings up another instance down.
Apart from that you will have to consider other things, when you are sharing with another prod instance.
Hardware and software requirements, processor, memory, OS related, Cross-language support if any, Hard Disk requirements, any OS updates brings both prod servers down, Storage type for data and log files, Domain controller issues..

Why is it that sometimes when I use my middle mouse button to click on a link to open it in a new tab I will have it open it in an entirely new instance of Firefox instead of a new tab?

Occasionally when I click on a link with my middle mouse button, instead of opening the page in a new tab, it will open a new instance of Firefox.
I've looked through some of the settings and I wasn't able to find anything. It really gets to be bothersome at times because I prefer things to be in tabs instead of a new browser.

It's not specific sites. I can middle-click on the same link 50 times and it will open it in a new tab 45 times and 5 of those times, it will randomly open it in an entirely new window. I don't know what's causing this.
It happens so randomly that I don't know how to pin-point what it could be.

How can we open a new instance of Firefox without URL bar and any other control (except PREV, NEXT and RELOAD)?

I am looking for a solution for Firefox Win App and Mobile Apps where on click of a button from the website page, we should be able to launch a new instance of firefox instance (like a popup box) with following features:
a. It SHOULD NOT have any URL bar to display.
b. It SHOULD NOT show any plug-ins or any other functionality except Previous, Next and Reload.
c. This instance of firefox should always be on-top of all other application.
Please advise, how firefox can be customized to offer in all platforms by default.

You would need your visitors to install some kind of add-on, since web pages do not have permission to block the display of the page address and users do not need to allow a new window to be modal and block other Firefox windows, much less other OS windows.
Over the years, people have developed extensions for kiosk-style displays. You could investigate those for ideas.

Exception when creating instance of a class with native method by JNI

I am trying to use JNI - I want to have a Java class Foo have a
method, that is a native C function.

exactlyNot quite exactly. Yours is an applet, theirs is an application.
Applets are not allowed many things that applications can do.
Among them, loading native libraries.
