Exception while perfroming Java mapping in XI

Hi there,
Im doing some java mapping in XI using the standard/classic DOM and JAXP packages, I have tested everything outside XI and the code seems to be OK.
However when I deploy the code into XI self and run a test, something goes wrong.
This is the exception Im getting from my log (PS: In th eyes of XI eveything goes fine, but this is because I have all my code surrounded by try/catch statements...):
<b>java.lang.ClassCastException: com.inqmy.lib.xml.dom.DocumentImpl</b>
1) First, what I dont understand here is the fact that Im not doing any kind of parsing to this type "com.inqmy.lib.xml.dom.DocumentImpl" in my code, so Why XI is doing this?
2) It seems to me like XI internally uses this "fancy" INQMY package to perform my XML parsing/mapping. But nowhere in the documentation is mentioned, at least I haven't read about it.
3) Is there anyplace where I can find/download this package "com.inqmy.lib.xml.dom.*" so that I can test/debug my code using this specific SAP pacakge?
Can anyone give me some clues how to solve and prevent this issue? Below is the part of the code where the exception is generated:
     private void processMultiMessages(Vector indexVector, NodeList msgList) {
          Iterator iter = indexVector.iterator();
          Integer tempIndex = null;
          int index = 0;
          try {
               for (int i = 0; i < indexVector.size(); i++) {
                    tempIndex = (Integer) indexVector.elementAt(i);
                    index = tempIndex.intValue();
                    Range range = ((DocumentRange) mainDocument).createRange();
                    range.setStartBefore(msgList.item(index));
                    if ((i + 1) > (indexVector.size() - 1)) {
                         index = msgList.getLength() - 1;
                         range.setEndAfter(msgList.item(index));
                    } else {
                         tempIndex = (Integer) indexVector.elementAt(i + 1);
                         index = tempIndex.intValue();
                         range.setEndAfter(msgList.item(--index));
                    createNewMsg(range.cloneContents());
                    range.detach();
               getSystemParams().put("STATUS", "OK");
               getSystemParams().put("TOTAL_MSG", new Integer(indexVector.size()));
               getSystemParams().put(
                    "STATUS_MSG",
                    "Target directory on XI Server: " + folder);
               this.out.write(
                    new LogDocument().createDocument(getSystemParams()).getBytes());
          } catch (Exception e) {
               getSystemParams().put("STATUS", "FAIL");
               getSystemParams().put("TOTAL_MSG", new Integer(indexVector.size()));
               getSystemParams().put(
                    "STATUS_MSG",
                    "** Exception in Java Mapping: " + e.toString() +" ** System error: " +  System.err);
               try {
                    this.out.write(
                         new LogDocument()
                              .createDocument(getSystemParams())
                              .getBytes());
                    e.printStackTrace();
               } catch (IOException ioE) {
                    ioE.printStackTrace();

Hi there,
I have included the inqmyxml.jar in my classpath and perfor
med some tests (outside XI), with good results.
However, when I copy/deploy the same classes into XI then the problem still there. My Java class is complaining about some ClassCastException, the error looks like this:
java.lang.ClassCastException: com.inqmy.lib.xml.dom.DocumentImpl
has anyone any ideas/clues was happening here?
Cheers,
Rob.
PS: These are the packages Im importing in my class:
import com.sap.aii.mapping.api.*;
<i>import java.io.*;
import java.sql.Timestamp;
import java.text.SimpleDateFormat;
import java.util.*;
import javax.xml.parsers.*;
import javax.xml.transform.*;

import com.inqmy.lib.jaxp.*;
import com.inqmy.lib.xml.*;
import com.inqmy.lib.xml.parser.*;

And these are the Global vars Im using:

     private OutputStream out;
     private DocumentBuilderFactory domFactory;
     private DocumentBuilder documentBuilder;
     private Document mainDocument;
     private String path;
     private String separator;
     private File folder;</i>
And finally this is the way I start my mapping/parsing process:
<i>               ClassLoader cl = Thread.currentThread().getContextClassLoader();
               Thread.currentThread().setContextClassLoader(this.getClass().getClassLoader());
domFactory = DocumentBuilderFactoryImpl.newInstance();
               Thread.currentThread().setContextClassLoader(cl);
// Optional: set various configuration options
               domFactory.setIgnoringComments(true);
               domFactory.setIgnoringElementContentWhitespace(true);
domFactory.setValidating(false);
domFactory.setCoalescing(false);
// Create and set documentBuilder
documentBuilder = domFactory.newDocumentBuilder();
// parse the input file
mainDocument = documentBuilder.parse(in);

  • Linkage error while doing java mapping

    Hi,
    I Have written a java mapping but when i use it in xi.It is showing an error as linkage error
    LinkageError at JavaMapping.load(): Could not load class: com/satyam/nestle/JavaMap
    Can anyone explain what does this mean and how to overcome it.
    Thanks in advance,

    Did you try testing the java mapping seperately....that it does not have any errors??? Also check the cahce update. Sometimes it happens that XI is not able to load the class file from the cache. Perform a CPA cache refresh (delta). This should solve the problem

  • Dynamic file name while using java mapping

    Hi All,
    i need help.
    I am using java mapping to convert xml file in zip file.
    Now i need to set output file name as SiteId_TimeStamp.zip.
    Site id is comping in xml file.
    How can i do this?
    I tried many thing but didnt get the solution..
    As their is no message mapping so I am unable to use ASMA.
    Please help.

    Did you check the wiki? You just need to add the code into you java mapping..
      Map mapParameters = (Map) transformationInput.getInputHeader().getAll();
       // a) Set Output File name
       mapParameters.put(DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/Dynamic",
                                                             StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION), "");
       DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) mapParameters.get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
       DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File", "FileName");
       //Depending on your requirement edit this logic. Here, NewDynamicName + CurrentDate will be output file name.
       DateFormat dateFormat = new SimpleDateFormat("yyyyMMdd");
       conf.put(key, ("NewDynamicName_" + dateFormat.format(new Date())) + ".pdf");

    Java 7.10 64 and 32 bit
    Hello!
    Since weeks i have the following problem. Every time i want to install Java (62 or 64 bit), after the installation progress bar reached 100% and the windows closes i get 2 error messages, both containing the errors:
    'Could not create Java Virtual Machine' and
    'Fatal exception occured. Program will exit'
    After closing both error messages i get the 'Installation successful' screen of Java again.
    However, if i start firefox and go to a page requiring java (the official testing page for example), firefox freezes until i kill the process manually.
    So far i reinstalled Java repeatedly, cleaning every trace of it on my system before doing so, including entrys in the microsoft uninstall wizard and the registry entrys, as described here:
    +hkey_local_machine>software>microsoft>windows>currentversion>uninstall
    search for "java"
    delete entrys+
    what is the programms problem??
    edit: i cant acess java from the windows control panel either, i get the same error messages

    I don't know that I'll be able to offer up any useful advice but here goes...
    Can you enable extra verbose logging as part of the installation & post the results here or on pastebin.com?
    jre-7u11-windows-i586.exe /l*vx c:\JavaInstall.log(feel free to adjust the log path to a more suitable location)
    All of our users are local admins and tend to install whatever. This leads to a messy environment and we don't always know which version of Java is installed. So, to address that, I created a small script that scours 'HKLM\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\uninstall' for Java entries, reads the uninstall string then runs the reported uninstall string. The assumption here is that the uninstall string will be an MSI command. (All the machines & versions of Java used the same format.)
    This is a Windows 7 Enterprise (32-bit) environment, but the script also works on 64-bit installations of Windows 7 Enterprise.
    I've tested this with 7u11 and went as far back as 6u21. It should work with just about any version that uses MSI for uninstalling.

  • Getting Exception while using JAVA code in XI

    Hi,
    We are using a JAVA code for encryption decryption, We have imported jce1_2_2.jar, local_policy.jar, sunjce_provider.jar and US_export_policy.jar .
    Code is giving exception ":  java.lang.SecurityException: The provider SunJCE may not be signed by a trusted party"
    Same code is running fine in outside XI means in Eclipse(JAVA EDITOR).
    Let me know how to resolve this issue.
    Thanks

    Hi vin,
    >> Same code is running fine in outside XI means in Eclipse(JAVA EDITOR).
    I also faced the same issue.
    The reason may be with XIs limitations. The keys used to encrypt and decrypt should have key length supported by XI. Also, the algorithm used must be supported by XI.
    Try Storing the keys inside TrustedCAs in Key storage.
    Hope this helps.

  • Exception while using Java Comm and Java Web Start together

    Hello Java Experts!
    Here's the problem that's been bothering me. The application i'm developing uses Java Comm API to listen to Serial Ports. The application works absolutely fine when it is run locally.
    Now, I need to deploy this remotely using java web start. All resources(dependent jar files) are present on the server and are referenced properly in the JNLP file. All jar files are signed properly.
    Still, it throws the following exception.
    java.lang.NullPointerException: name can't be null
         at java.io.FilePermission.init(Unknown Source)
         at java.io.FilePermission.<init>(Unknown Source)
         at java.lang.SecurityManager.checkDelete(Unknown Source)
         at javax.comm.CommPortIdentifier.getPortIdentifiers(CommPortIdentifier.java:70)
    The exact line of code where it apparently seems to error out is...
    Enumeration portList = CommPortIdentifier.getPortIdentifiers();
    Are there any security issues involved here? Can a application deployed through java web start access serial ports on the system?
    Any pointers as to what the problem might be would be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!

    I have the IBM Communications API. I've

  • Exception while running xslt mapping

    Hi all,
    I am doing an xslt mapping to get an html content . Within xslt mapping code i am using "&nbsp" to add white space . I am using Stylus Studio to run the mapping , when i run it in Stylus , its executing fine.
    But once I import this xslt mapping into XI & run it from Interface mapping , i am getting (The entity "nbsp" was referenced, but not declared.) excpetion.

  • Throw exception in Java mapping and handle this in BPM

    Hi,
    I'll use a Java mapping in a BPM transform step. Is it possible to throw an exception inside this Java mapping and handle this in a BPM exception handler?
    thanks and regards
    Verena

    Hi Verena,
    In a BPM transformation step, I think you can throw exceptions only for system errors.
    Let me explain with an example, one of the ways to handle your scenario:
    Lets assume your Java Mapping fails then you can trap that exception in your Java mapping and compose an XML message which indicates that an error has occurred.
    say for e.g.
    <intermediateStructure>
    <SatusDocument>
    <StatusCode>ERROR</StatusCode>
    <ErrCode>123</ErrCode>
    <ErrDesc><!populate the thrown exception details></ErrDesc>
    </StatusDocument>
    <Payload>
    <!contains actual XML message with data>
    </Payload>
    </intermediateStructure>
    if Java mapping is Successful, you can compose the XML message as follows:
    <intermediateStructure>
    <SatusDocument>
    <StatusCode>SUCCESS</StatusCode>
    <ErrCode>0</ErrCode>
    <ErrDesc></ErrDesc>
    </StatusDocument>
    <Payload>
    <!contains actual XML message with data>
    </Payload>
    </intermediateStructure>
    You can use BPM switch operation to switch to different processing branches say for e.g. "error" branch or "success" branch by examining the value of <StatusCode> tag.
    Hope it helps !

  • Handling Java Mapping Exception in BPM Transformation step

    Dear SDN members,
    I have developed a File to File scenario using BPM as follows.
    Step 1:
    Sender file adapter picks the file from FTP server and using file content conversion mapped to XML structure.
    Step 2:
    BPM will recieve the XML payload , immediately in the block a transformation step is called with an interface mapping. In the interface mapping a Java mapping will be executed with certain data validations on the XML payload. If found any invalid data is there a suitable excptions will be raised . Here the transformation step should be catch the error and control should be sent to exception block to place the recived file as a error file.
    else if the transformation is executed with out any issues, the file will be placed in success folder.
    But in the transformation step, though java mapping thorwing exceptions, the control not going into exception block, instead it is continuing to next step i.e the file is placing in the success folder.
    Can anybody tell me, how to handle the exceptions raised in java mapping in the BPM transformation step?
    I have refered all the SDN blogs, forums related to this issue, but could not able to find the answer. Please help me?
    Thanks & Regards
    Vijayanand Poreddy

    Hi Abhishek,
    Once the file is picked from FTP server then sent to BPM,
    the BPM steps
    Step1:
    -->Recive
    Step 2:
    Block Starts
       ---Block Start: New Transaction
       ---Block End : New Transaction
       ---Exception : Error
    Step 3
    Inside the Block
    Transformation Step
       --Interface Mapping: <IM Name>
       -- Check box ticked for Create New Transcation
       -- Exceptions
          --System Error: Error
       --Source Message: Message recieved in Recieve Step (Step 1)
    Step 4:
      --Send
      --Source Maessage: Output message from the Transformation Step
    Block End
    Inserted a Exception Branch for Block
    Steps inside Exception Branch
      -Control
        --Throw Alert
       --Alert Name
    In the above scenario
    The transformation step is not throwing error even my interface mapping going to error. The same transformation step if i place outside the block next to recieve step, then the transformation step is throwing error and BPM stops the process.
    Also, when transformation is inside the block, i have used the exception handling on the send step inside the block. here it is throwing error as the source message payload is empty. because in the preceding transformation step the interface mapping is failed due to which there the target will not be filled. But even though it is not entered into exception block.

  • XML not well formed - Java Mapping, Webservice to RFC Scenario

    Hello All Experts,
    I have facing a strange type of error. I have written a Java Mapping which implements a DOM parser to take a request from a Webservice and validate it on the basis of some prerequisites. i.e. If data in the incoming request is valid, it creates a message of the same structure type as the input. If the incoming data is incorrect or incomplete; It generates an Error response structure.
    When I run and test the same mapping program using Editplus Java editor for the error scenario; it executes perfectly and creates the correct error XML structure. (I checked it by importing the structure in the XI Message mapping test tab). But when I create jar of my java mapping program and test it in my interface mapping, it gives me "XML not well formed error" (Problem while building the tree).
    Any idea as to why is it behaving in such a way? There are 2 reasons which come to my mind as of now:
    1. The initilization of my input and output streams in the public static void main:
                InputStream in = new FileInputStream(new File("Input.xml"));
               OutputStream out = new FileOutputStream(new File("Output.xml"));
               validateXML myMapping = new ValidateXML();
                myMapping.execute(in, out);
    The Output.xml has the xml structure for the correct case, do I have to initialize my outputstream for the error file? say error.xml
    2. My Webservice interface is a sychronous interface (Request / Response) and output of the Java mapping program are two asynchronous interface. (I'll use a synch-asynch bridge when this works) - Is that causing a problem?
    Please help.
    Best regards,
    Varun

    Hello Varun,
    it gives me "XML not well formed error" (Problem while building the tree).
    I have come across the same error message while testing in interface mapping. My problem was when an exception occured in java mapping, the execution terminates with the messages XML not well formed error". In order to solve this issue what i did was catch the exception type TransformerException and in that catch block throw StreamTransformationException exception in main methos of mapping program i.e execute().
    eg:-
    catch (TransformerException e) {
                   throw new StreamTransformationException("Can not write XML.", e);
    By doing this you will see the exception raised , because some times when you execute your mapping with mail() method, though it create the file, when you try to open it will give error if any exceptions occured in mapping. By using the above notation you can handle those in java mapping.
    Hope you have gone through this blog.

  • In Java Mapping Whether to SAX or DOM ?

    While implementing Java Mapping which of the following SAX , DOM parsers  is the most efficient way to implement it.
    I mean considering the voulume of data in the XML format is large which  usage will give me most  optimal performance .
    It would be nice if someone could give a sample most  optimal java code using JAXP where  input stream is read  and after  processing written to  output stream.
    regards
    Nilesh Taunk.

    Hi Nilesh,
    >>>While implementing Java Mapping which of the following SAX , DOM parsers is the most efficient way to implement it.
    there's no one good answer fot this question
    except: it depends:)
    SAX and DOM are a little different parsers
    so it depends what will your java mapping
    have to do: if it will change the
    structure or maybe it will only change a few tags,
    or maybe it will do something else
    have a look at the page below to read a simple
    comparision between SAX and DOM
    http://www.scit.wlv.ac.uk/~jphb/cp2101/week4/XML_Parsing.html
    or this thread:
    http://www.biglist.com/lists/xsl-list/archives/200301/msg01318.html
    they will give you some idea which one to choose
    depending on your requirements
    BTW
    remember use java mappings only
    if you cannot use graphical mapping (very easy debugging)
    and if your document cannot be parsed (maybe huge documents)
    with XSLT which is supported by many graphilal tools

  • Error while deploying module with iasdeploy : Exception while createXmlDocument() : connection refused

    Hi to you all,
    I work with iAS 6.0 sp2 on Solaris.
    For 1 day, I get that exception when trying to deploy or remove my modules (servlets + JSP) with the iasdeploy tool :
    Exception while createXmlDocument()
    java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused

    at com.netscape.server.deployment.WebbAppReg.run(compiled code)
    at com.netscape.server.deployment.WebbAppReg.main(Unknown source)
    The war archive is put in the JAR directory, unpacked in the APPS/modules directory, but the servlets of the module have the null GUID in the registry ({000000 000000 000000}. And so, I have the GX error when trying to invoke them.
    What appends ? Is it a iAS process which is unable ?
    Please help !
    Paul-Emile

    I think you have not put the xml files in the war file.
    You need to put them under WEB-INF/ directory. Manually generate the guids using kguidgen script and try to deploy the war module. It should work fine. If it doesnot work please send me the file. So that I can further investigate and find out where exactly the problem is.Other wise you can use the deploytool.
    Please let me know if this works fine.

    Hi Mahesh,
    I understand, you are using extended Receiver Determination using Operational Mapping (which has Java Mapping). And, there is an error message u201CError while determining root tag of XMLu201D, when you are doing configuration test.
    Can you please test, the Operational Mapping (which has Java Mapping) separately in ESR, with payload which is coming now. It should produce a XML something like this [Link1|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/48/ce53aea0d7154ee10000000a421937/frameset.htm]
