Hi
Is the database on Exchange 2010/2003 mounted and all services started?
Is your account part of Organization Management and able to perform the move requests?

New Local Move Request Script for Exchange 2010 mailboxes
Hi I would like to have a script that can enable me automatically move mailboxes of certain domains to a new mailbox database. E.g. new local move request to move only 20 mailboxes in mailboxdatabase01 with the domain name: mymove.com, moving
it to mailboxdatabase05. Also, I want to be able to adjust the number of mailboxes to move. Thanks in advance.Wrap this, or something similar, into a script that filters out the users with that domain in a particular DB.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd876878(v=exchg.141).aspx
And some filtering examples are in here:
http://blogs.technet.com/b/rmilne/archive/2014/03/24/powershell-filtering-examples.aspx
I doubt there is a sample script out there that does exactly what you want, so you'll have to do some coding.
Cheers,
Rhoderick

I am in the process of doing a migration from SBS 2003 std. edition to SBS 2011 std. I am at the point the migrating mailboxes from the Exch 03 server to the Exch 2010 server. I initially received an error when selecting mailboxes that the mailbox
db on the Exch03 server did not exist. I followed the resolution steps from another forum post to add the Exch 2010 server to the "first administrative group" via the security tab and give full permissions. This solved that issue and
I was able to proceed through the wizard to actually create the local move request. However, after processing the request, I get the following error...

Local move requests stuck with status "queued" at 0% completion
Hello all,
I'm running Exchange server 2010 SP3 with no aditonal RU.
Suddenly we are unable to perform local move requests of mailboxes between databases.
The requests will turn up in the list at Recipient "Configuration\Move Requests" but remain the with status Queued with 0% completion.
It does not matter if the move request is initiated by EMC of the Shell.
I cant find a solution so if someone has some advise that would be great,
I tried the following:
- Restarted the Mailbox Replication service on the CAS server
- Rebooted the Mailbox, CAS and Edge server
- Run a Test-MRSHealth check against the CAS
- Checked all logs but there are no related entries
- Checked my admin account permissions
- Checked if it is related to certain mailboxes and source and destination databases which isn't the case
What else can I do or check?
Kind regards,
AlexHi,
You mentioned you checked the event log, but there was no related events.
Have you tried to use the get-moverequest | get-moverequeststatistics cmdlet to check result?
If no, please run this command to see if there is any clues that can be used to narrow down this issue.
Best regards,
Belinda

Exchange 2010 mailbox moves get stalled
I am Experiencing an issue with Exchange 2010 SP3 UR2 two node DAG environment (server01 and server02). While moving mailboxes from old Exchange 2007 environment I get following errors.
Move for mailbox xxxxxxxxxxxx is stalled because DataMoveReplicationConstraint is not satisfied for the database 'MDB01' (agent MailboxDatabaseReplication). Failure Reason: Database does not satisfy constraint SecondCopy. Throttling completion as database copies
are falling behind.
Get-MailboxDatabaseCopyStatus informs me that server02 Copy and ReplayQueue length on the passive copy are getting big (from 10-500) while moving and the throttling will always pause the move for a while and then start again until it stops again because the
second copy is falling behind. This only happens when I move mailboxes to databases that have active copy of the database on my server01 and passive on server 02. If the active copy is moved to server02 and server01 is the passive copy this does not happen.
So this leads to a conclusion that there is something wrong with server02 replication from server01.
I've traced the replication network and there are no issues. What could be the reason that only the second node suffers from falling back during moves? I would not like to se the datamovereplicationconstraint value to none since this is the only Exhchange
2010 DAG environment where I am facing this issue and the replication should keep up while mailbox moves.Hello,
" I would not like to see the datamovereplicationconstraint value to none". Do you mean you set
DataMoveReplicationConstraint to SecondCopy? If so, I recommend you use test-replicationhealth cmdlet to check all aspects of the replication and replay status.
Please check if you
configure a lagged database copy.
Please check if there is a witness server, and whether the witness is online.
If not, please set DataMoveReplicationConstraint to SecondCopy.
Besides, please check if there is any error in application log.

SCCM 2012 R2 - Migration TS Failed in Release Request Step with Error Code 0x80004005
Hi
I have Upgraded my lab from SCCM 2012 SP1 to SCCM 2012 R2. Now, While I am running TS for Refresh/Replace Migration, its successfully captures all the Data & settings and can also restores all Data & settings, but at release request Step TS got failed.
In SMSTS log file error was "Release Request Failed with error code 0x80004005".
Is there any KB released by Microsoft to fix this issue?? Due to this issue I am unable to run any other TS.I've seen a few weird scenarios with task sequences after an upgrade from SP1 to R2.
In most cases I've been able to fix these "problems" by simply creating a new task sequence, and copy all the custom steps to the new task sequence.
Also make sure to update boot images, mdt packages, usmt etc. to new versions.
So thats what I'd try first....

We would like an request with error is not imported over and over again.
We have an periodically sheduled job which imports all released requests(queue). We would like that request with error is not imported over and over again.
How to achieve that?Hi,
Please do run the import job for transport in STMS only as described in SAP Note below:
https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/398589
The periodic sadly can only be done for "import all" & not "import single".
However, you can try the following unconditional modes:

any ideas why its failing?Hi,
I've seen the same error on a customer where we had Windows Intune Client (SCCM) installed previously. Did you try it on a newly deployed computer? If you had Intune or another CCM client on it previously make sure you clean it up. Here is a well formulated
instruction:
http://douwevanderuit.wordpress.com/2014/01/30/removing-windows-intune-client/
Usually when deploying to many clients we use a startup script, there is a great one that Jason Sandys made in the link below.
http://blog.configmgrftw.com/configmgr-client-startup-script/
There should be no problems deploying SCCM 2012 R2 clients on Windows 8.1 unless there is something wrong with either the setup or the client computer.

I am just wondering what the cause of the issue is.. and how I can fix it..

This is happening on every mailbox we attempt to move. Any help would be appreciatedThanks for responding
I'm already using BadItemLimit of 50. The largest corrupt message that was skipped is 10.
We're on Small Business Server Standard Edition which only permits one mailbox store. I should mention that the interim machine (where Exchange 2010 is installed) is a Hyper V virtual machine

OWA Error after Exchange 2010 Mailbox move to 2013
Hello,
We have been experiencing an issue when we move a users mailbox from Exchange 2010 on-prem to Exchange 2013 on-prem. As a domain admin I was able to access the users mailbox via OWA 2010 with out issues. However, now that they have been
moved over to 2013 I am getting the following error message:
X-OWA-Error: SDServerErr;Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Storage.AccessDeniedException
X-OWA-Version: 15.0.995.28
X-FEServer: CASServer
X-BEServer: Mailboxserver.domain.com
Date: 1/29/2015 5:27:38 PM
Full Access permissions appear on the mailbox still via the 2013 ECP console for my account. I have tried running the
Set-Mailbox UserName -ApplyMandatoryProperties command but receive a message that no settings have been modified.
I have also tried to remove/re-add inheritable permissions on the users AD account to no avail.
I have a large group of mailboxes to move over to 2013 and hoping their is a decent solution out there to prevent this from happening.
Greatly appreciate any feedback on this request.
CheersHi,
Please re-add the full access permission for the administrator:
Get-Exchange Server "servername" | Get-Mailbox | Add-MailboxPermission -User Administrator -AccessRights FullAccess
If Administrator is still located in Exchange 2010 and has the full access permission to an Exchange 2013 mailbox ([email protected]) which is moved from Exchange 2010, please use the following URL to open the mailbox:
https://Exch13.domain.com/owa/[email protected]/
Then check whether the issue persists.
Regards,
Winnie Liang

gregHi Frank,
I've the same problem when I try to install the SP2.
When I try to install RU 4v2, 5 or 6, then comes error 2771. So I waiting for SP2 in the hope, a full install of the SP will fix this.
But the setup broke with the following entries:

Exchange 2010 Mailbox move error - Property Expression "Jim Smith" Isn't vaild - FQE=A169C2C1
I have moved 120 mailboxes from our exhange 2003 server to the new 2010 Exchange server
Only this ONE account is having this issue - we have checked the account and it seems normal - no strange formats for alias
I have Searched all over - and have found NO results for this kind of error
Have tried moving with the GUI and Shell
Here is the complete error
Error:
Property expression "Jim Smith" isn't valid. Valid values are: Strings formed with characters from A to Z (uppercase or lowercase), digits from 0 to 9, !, #, $, %, &, ', *, +, -, /, =, ?, ^, _, `, {, |, } or ~. One or more periods may be embedded in an alias, but each period should be preceded and followed by at least one of the other characters. Unicode characters from U+00A1 to U+00FF are also valid in an alias, but they will be mapped to a best-fit US-ASCII string in the e-mail address, which is generated from such an alias.
Exchange Management Shell command attempted:
'www.nerc.net/Jim Smith' | New-MoveRequest -TargetDatabase 'Database Two'
Elapsed Time: 00:00:00
FullyQualifiedErrorId - A169C2C1Hi, I found myself in the same situation.
I didn't have to use ADSIedit, I simply used the AD Users and Computers on the Exchange 2003 Server to correct the error.
Right-Click on the user whose mailbox is displaying error - Go into properties and select "EXCHANGE GENERAL" tab - modify the "ALIAS" - click Apply.
I used hyphen to bridge the space. After that all the mailboxes affected moved with any problem.
That should do it. -
Exchange 2010 SP3 - Delayed emails with XLSM attachments...
Running Exchange 2010 SP3 Rollup 5. Clients running Windows 7 and Office 2010 Pro Plus SP2. Have one specific user / client that when sending emails with an XLSM attachment around 5:30AM, the email is delayed getting to the Exchange server and
is delayed up to 16 hours. Unfortunately, this is a random occurrence, and not necessarily easy to duplicate.
The Sent Items on the Outlook client reflect the correct sent time, but the Message Tracking Log on the Exchange server shows the server did not receive the email until approximately 12 to 16 hours later.
The desktop is a shared system and this issue appears to be isolated to the user's profile, AD account, or Exchange. I've literally blown away the users local profile and reconfigured it with no resolution.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
FuelHi,
Please verify whether there is any error/warning/information message left in App log. If yes, please paste the details without sensitive information.
I suggest re-send a .xlsm attachment for testing to verify whether it delays.
Thanks
