I have recently bought a new 8610 Officejet Pro printer to replace my former HP 4610 Printer which failed after 15 months.
I would like to exchange the unused and unopened HP ink cartridges which I can no longer use with the new officejet Pro 8610:
1 black 564 Twin pack
1 564 Combo-Pack with 3 color ink cartridges
for one 950 Black cartridge and one 951 Combo three pack.
If I need to return these cartridges, please send me a shipping label.
If exchange is not feasible, I would like to receive HP credit for one 564 black Twin ink cartridge and one 564 combo three pack.
Thank you,

Thank you for contacting the HP Home & Home Office Store.
After reading your email, I understand the following:
You recently bought an HP 564 2-pack Black Ink Cartridges and HP 564 Combo-pack.
However, the HP Officejet 4620 printer is no longer working and you have replaced it with a new HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer.

Feedback: I recently bought HP 564 2pack Black ink and HP 564 Combo for my HP Officejet 4620 which I purchased on 3/12/13. This Hp printer stopped printing in June of 2014 and I was advised by Microcenter, Cambridge, Ma. that the 4620 was not repairable. I purchased a new HP printer (8610) on 6/12/14. I now obviously need different ink and I still have unopened HP 564 2 pack Black ink and HP Combo Creative Pack. I would like to return these unopened inks in exchange for the ink cartridges for my new printer. I am aware of your 21 day limit on ink returns, but since your HP 4620 printer failed after 15 months, I believe credit for the unused ink is the least that HP can do in an effort to provide good customer care.

I have an unopened box of ink cartridges that my Mom bought for me awhile back. It is a 564 Combo Pack - Cyan, Magenta and Yellow. I recently moved to a new house and in the chaos, I couldn't find it until the other day when I unpacked a certain box.  I kind of stumbled upon it. Anyway, I wanted to know how to return it for a refund or use it for credit for the printer I do have.
My mom knew that I might be getting a new printer and she wanted to surprise me. But, I kept the same printer, but downloaded the drivers I needed to still use my older printer which was working very well. So she sent me them by mistake and now that I have found them, I wish to get a refund or credit towards future ink purchases? Please let me know what I can and cannot do.          Thanks,  Mark

Your media is only where YOU put it.  Installing iTunes and signing into your account has never made media magically appear on a computer.
Copy the media from the old computer to the new computer.
For instructions, type "move itunes library" into the search bar at the top or your favorite search engine.

    Thanks for any advice!!!

Anything you have that is powerpc code only will not run on a new machine.  OS X 10.8 has no support for powerpc code (universal binary programs should be fine).
Other than that warning, without knowing exactly what programs you have, and what version you are on, it is hard to say whay will or will not migrate alright.
you might need to do some web searching and check apps at sites like roaringapps or on the programs Company web site.

Hi! I also have unopened, unused ink cartridges from my last HP that are not compatible with my new model.
Any chance I can get a direct link to the info without having to go through the 800 number please.
    Thanks!

Hi, there is no direct number, just the usual Support phone no. depending on which country you're in.
Another option would be to sell the unused cartridges on eBay. A recent idea from sebringgirl was to donate to charity & take a tax reduction...

  • Had to purchase new computer - how to get itunes to delete old one?

Yesterday after loading some itunes apps and stuff, my whole computer crashed. I got the dreaded BSOD. I ended up purchasing a new laptop today. I have went to itunes it keeps asking if I want to erase this ipod and replace with the library on this computer. I don't want to do that. I wasn't able to save anything from the old computer. It did transfer the songs that were on her ipod to the laptop, but not the games. It also did not transfer a new app I just purchased for her. It shows it in my purchases, but it won't sync over. Please help! I don't know what caused my crash and I don't want to go thru it again!!!

See this previous discussion especially the second post (first reply).
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2594650&tstart=15
Regarding the games, is the computer authorized for the account that purchased the games? If not they will not transfer. You can always redownload them at no cost. See:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
You will end up having to erase the contents of the iPod and replace them with those in Itunes of the new computer though.

You could remove the HD and put it in an External Enclosure -or-
Maybe try using Apple's Migration Assistant -and finally-
Once you have the new computer set up you may want to use Time Machine

  • Bought New HP 8610, Need to Exchange Unused Ink Cartridges from Old 8500 Plus

Hi - my Officejet Pro 8500A Plus has had printing problems so I just replaced it with a new Officejet Pro 8610.   Unfortunately, I have 8 brand new 940XL ink cartridges for the old printer that I can't use (3 black, 5 Magenta/Cyan/Yellow).  Can you help me exchange them for an equivalent quantity of 950XL and 951XL cartridges that will work in the new 8610 Printer?

I would like to assist you today with this today.  At this point I am going to send you a Private Message with the instructions regarding the HP Ink Exchange program. • How to back up iTunes Library on external hard drive & computer, after purchasing new music?

I keep my iTunes library on my computer's hard drive and also backed up on an external hard drive. I have added more music to my library since my previous back up, and I want to back up the new music to my external drive.
What's the best way to do this?

The first time I backed up my iTunes on an external drive, it took a 1 hour +. Do I basically need to start over on my external hard drive? Or is there an easier/faster way?
Yes there is a faster way.
Check this out -> Backup your iTunes for Windows library with SyncToy
Don't change the library location or hold Option to update the backup on the external.

  • Purchasing new Computer. Mac or No Mac is the question?.

Okay, so I was recently using a PowerBook G4 for college work and have had it for awhile, but now the hard drive is dead. I have been asking around on what to do about the types of computers, by either getting a Mac or a PC and I do not know which really to get. I enjoyed having a Mac, but after that incident occuring to me at school as well as having a TON of assignments now that I must get done, I am unsure of what I should purchase. Prioe does play a part in this issue, but I do not just want to pay 400-500 dollars on a PC that is not even worth it and crashes on me. Any helpful advice at this moment would be much appreciated! Thank you.

There really is no down side in going with a Mac. As others have mentioned, hard drives fail... regardless of the machine they're in... and as you have a G4, I'd expect it's given you quite a few years of good performance. To be honest, if you were otherwise happy with it, why not just get a new hard drive?
Of course a new machine will give you much better performance and will allow you to run the most current version of the OS. Any current Mac will allow you to run Windows, so you basically get a "PC" with every Mac.
So far was problems with Windows, I am definitely not in the "Windows is not reliable" camp. I have had Windows machines up for months at a time without any issue. A fully patched Vista machine as well as Windows 7 will run reliably on current hardware.
All current computers use off the shelf components. Apple uses the same insides as other manufacturers. It comes down to which OS you prefer or need (as mentioned, not an issue on a Mac since you can run any OS you choose)... design (aesthetics can play a role in your overall enjoyment of a product)... and support (for which Apple is second to none).
You can purchase a reliable and powerful PC notebook for around $700 retail... and probably somewhat less if you look around for deals. You can get a PC with more current hardware as well as most PC manufacturers have started using the i3 & i5 processors... the newest from Intel. Apple will undoubtedly make that move as well, but they have yet to do so. While these processors are newer, the average user is not likely to notice any significant difference in performance, so it shouldn't be a deal breaker.
You really just need to decide what your needs are. A Mac is definitely a great option, but obviously not the least expensive. Today, an "inexpensive" computer does not have to mean "cheap" in quality.
You need to balance your needs and your wallet. I've got both PC and Mac notebooks (I have something of a nearly obscene addiction to getting new machines... but then I donate my old ones so that makes it okay... right?!?) If I were to have only one machine, I would want it to be as flexible as possible, so that pretty much leaves just a Mac as it's the only thing that can run OS X.
I don't care how many people say that you can run OS X on a PC as well... it's not nearly as reliable and it not supported by anyone (the manufacturer won't support it... and Apple won't support it).
You won't go wrong with either choice. Keep in mind, if you have had your G4 for all these years, you are probably quite comfortable with using OS X. If you're not familiar with Windows, you don't really want to have to learn a new OS when you're working on school assignments. You want to spend your time on the assignments, not trying to figure out how to do the simplest tasks in a new OS that you could do with your eyes closed on your Mac.

  • HT201269 I restored from iCloud after purchasing new iphone 5s today. However none of 5s phone features nor apps are showing nor are they seen in settings. Plus my App Store is currently using 894mB of data. Can anyone help????

I had read to "restore" not the option to set up new device.   Oh also my "messages" data is very high even after I deleted nearly all of them

If you simply would have posted here first, there are plenty of people who would have informed you of the current policy to have a data plan active on an account during the entire contract if purchasing a discounted smartphone.
Unfortunately, there are just as many on here who would claim the people informing you about this policy of being Verizon plants spreading disinformation and trying to make people afraid to upgrade via this route.
Yes this is a new policy, one which has been pointed out multiple times in these forums.  Good luck, but I doubt you will have an outcome over this which will make you happy.
Verizon is closing as many loopholes to keep unlimited data as they can.

  • Unable to download podcasts after authorizing new computer

I just authorized another computer. When I sync the ipod, I am unable to download podcasts that I already subscribed to.

Apple should be ashamed for sticking people with a crappy appp like the new iTunes.
After reinstalling iTunes 9.0.3 and the get episode button still not working, I exported my playlist (iTunes/File/Library/Export Playlist), trashed the iTunes application, iTunes library folders (in User and Music) and downloaded iTunes 8.2 ( http://en.kioskea.net/telecharger/telecharger-241-itunes-for-mac ), installed it, then imported the playlist back in.
    Ba-dah-boom.
It may not be as elegant as iTunes 9, but at least it works like it’s supposed to.

  • Will not print black ink after installing new HP cartridge

HP Officejet 4620, Windows 7....installed new HP black ink cartridge and now it will not print black at all. I followed all online tips in the help section, even cleaned the vents on the cartridge itself but only prints blank page. No error messages are shown. Diagnostics ran and says all is working correctly. Also cleaned printheads through 2 cycles still nothing. Any other suggestions? It was working just fine before inserting new black cartridge.

I just spent  1 1/2 hours on the phone with HP Tech Support but it was worth it.  They are sending a replacement printer no charge to me (expect I chose to pay extra for next day shipping).  Even though my printer is out of warranty!!!  I normally buy HP products anyway but will definintely stay with this brand based on their excellent customer service and support.  Thank you once again for your initial help online and for directing me on the right path!!!
