Excluding NaN from SSRS expression:

Hi All,
Below is my query, it output's a percentage based on some calculations that i've had to make to fit in with requirements.
The trouble is that it is also coming with NaN values which i need set to 0%, could someone please help me modify the below query to accomplish this?
=Sum(IIF(IIF(ISNOTHING(Fields!TotalHours.Value) = true,25,Fields!TotalHours.Value) <= 24,1,0)) / Sum(Fields!SubTotal.Value)
Thanks in advance!
Plain_Clueless

Did you try like this?
=IIF(IsNothing(Sum(IIF(IIF(ISNOTHING(Fields!TotalHours.Value) = true,25,Fields!TotalHours.Value) <= 24,1,0)) / IIF(Sum(Fields!SubTotal.Value) = 0,Nothing,Sum(Fields!SubTotal.Value))),0,Sum(IIF(IIF(ISNOTHING(Fields!TotalHours.Value) = true,25,Fields!TotalHours.Value) <= 24,1,0)) / IIF(Sum(Fields!SubTotal.Value) = 0,Nothing,Sum(Fields!SubTotal.Value)))

I tried the expression and i am still recieving several NaN's. Basically the it's come up with this because the values it's trying to calculate are 0 in both fields, but i can't them as just NaN it needs to be set to 0.
Plain_Clueless
Nope thats not true
If you use expression exactly the way I gave it will never be 0 in the denominator. It will convert those 0s to Nothing

  • Ssrs expression to sql query

    Hi,
I am unable to convert the below ssrs expression to sql query. can you guys help.
    --          IIF(Parameters!parameter1.Value Is Nothing,
    --               " 3>2 ",
    --               "column1 NOT LIKE
    --                           Replace(IIF(Left(Parameters!parameter1.Value, 1) = "'",
    --                                             Parameters!parameter1.Value,
    --                                             "'" & Replace(Parameters!parameter1.Value, "'", "''")  "'"),
    Thanks.

Thank you for your response Carnegie,
I actually have two stored procedures as below. (columns and joined tables are excluded)
I need to change the dates of @DateFrom and @DateTo parameter, I am passing @DateFrom_FD and @DateTo_LD as well.
    CREATE ROCEDURE [dbo].[Test]
    (@DateFrom
    SMALLDATETIME
      , @DateTo
    SMALLDATETIME
      , @program
    VARCHAR(MAX))
    AS
    DECLARE
    @DateFrom_FD
    SMALLDATETIME
           , @DateTo_LD
    SMALLDATETIME
    SET @DateFrom_FD = DATEADD(MONTH,DATEDIFF(MONTH,0,@DateFrom),0)
    SET @DateTo_LD = DATEADD(DAY,-1,DATEADD(MONTH,DATEDIFF(MONTH,0,@DateTo)+1,0))
    SELECT
      DimDate.[Year]
    , DimDate.[Month]
    , DimDate.PK_Date
    , CustomerID
    FROM DimDate
    WHERE DimDate.PK_Date BETWEEN @DateFrom_FD AND @DateTo_LD
Now I am using one of the SP as a main report and the other SP as a subreport.
In order to configure the main report and the subreport, I believe that I need to link them with parameters.
However, in the parameters of subreport properties, the option given are only @DateFrom and @DateTo.
    No @DateFrom_FD AND @DateTo_LD
Therefore, I am thinking to use expressions to convert @DateFrom and @DateTo the same way I did in SQL.
I am not sure if this works....but this is the only thing that I could think of.
    Thank you,

  • SSRS Expression help

    Hello,
Is there anyway to default to the first day of the month in a SSRS expression.  I'm looking to do the reverse of the EOMONTH() function.
The date value is coming from a parameter @BegDate and formatted YYYY-MM-DD.  So if the parameter is set to 2015-08-31 it would show 2015-08-01
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
    x

I ended up using the following:
    DateSerial(Year(Parameters!BegDate.Value), Month(Parameters!BegDate.Value), 1
    x

  • Create link to excel sheet from ssrs

    Hi!
I,m trying to create a link from SSRS to an excel sheet that is placed on a server (in my case the same server as Sql is running)
\\csedb30\BusinessWarehouse\VDC\Actual\exceltest.xlsx.  I have made links to url sites and to other reports within reporting services, But this time i would like to use a
textbook control in a report and when the user click on the texbox it should open up the excel sheet in the same way that a hyperlink works in excel. The problem seems to be that i have to link to a source on a server not a URL adress.
Is there any solution to this.
    Best regards
    Arne
    Arne Olsson

    Hi Arne,
In this scenario, you just need to put    file:\\csedb30\BusinessWarehouse\Linktest.xlsx in the Go to URL expression. Don't put "=" in the expression,
and the path will be underlined. And you need to redeploy the project to make it work. After you click the textbox, the path will be shown in the browser.
If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

  • How Get last five quarters data using ssrs expression

    Hi All,
i have an ssrs report where i have to get last five quarters data  and also last five months data when i select quarterly/monthly parameter.....
is there any possibilty that we can get this using ssrs expression
    any help please.........

    Hi Mr.SMK,
According to your description, there is an SSRS report, you want to create a parameter, when you select quarterly, data of last five quarters will be displayed. If you select monthly, data of last five months will be displayed. If that is the case, please
    refer to the following steps:
      1. In design surface, in Report Data pane, right-click Parameters and click Add Parameter.
      2. Type parameter name and prompt, set Data Type to Date/Time.
      3. Click Available Values in left pane, select Specify values.
      4. Click Add button, in Label text box, type Quarterly, then click (fx) button and type the expression like below:
    =DateAdd("q",-5,Today())
      5. Click Add button, in Label text box, type Monthly, then click (fx) button and type the expression like below:
    =DateAdd("m",-5,Today())
      6. Right-click the dataset used to retrieve data for the report and open Dataset Properties dialog box.
      7. Click Filters in left pane, click Add button, select Data from Expression drop down list, set Operator to >=, in Value text box, type [@ParameterName].

  • Date issue when exporting data to Excel from SSRS report, where date is less than 1/1/1900

    Hi,
I am using SSRS report to display the data from database. In that data, One of the column is DATE. when I am exporting to Excel all that dates are displaying fine except 1/1/1800 12:00 AM. Instead of 1/1/1800 12:00 AM it is displaying XXXXXXXXXXXXXX values.
Please help me to fix the issue.
Please let me know if more clarification required.
    Thanks In advance.

    Hello,
We can use Cstr() function to convert the Date type data to String data. Suppose we have a field named DateTime, please refer to the expression below:
    =Cstr(Fields!DateTime.Value)
Then we can get a string type data. There is an article about SSRS expression, you can refer to it.

  • Print a report from Application Express direct to a CUPS Printer

Hi all, I'm new to this technology, is it possible to print a report from Application Express directly to a CUPS Printer? Can someone tell me in laymans terms how to do it? I find the terminology and documentation less than helpful.

    Jeremy,
BI Publisher handles submitting reports directly to a CUPS printer. However, the APEX integration doesn't currently integrate with that portion of BI Publisher.
    Here's an options:
Use the Java API of BI Publisher to build a custom Java program that would do this for you. Delivering to CUPS is part of the Java API.

  • Pass function name as parameter in SSRS expression

I have a function (GetColumnFieldName) which returns string datatype
Now I want to use this function in below SSRS expression
    =Code.GetDisplay("FirstName",Parameters!SelectedCols.Value,Parameters!DisplayCols.Value)
At the above expression I want to replace "FirstName" with  function GetColumnFieldName which returns the same "FirstName".
    Please suggest.

    Hi Jajatibabu,
If I understand correctly, you want to use GetColumnFieldName function which returns a field name to replace the “FirstName” in the expression you post.
If in this scenario, we can directly use Code.GetColumnFieldName(parameters) to replace the “FirstName” like below:
    =Code.GetDisplay(Code.GetColumnFieldName(parameters),Parameters!SelectedCols.Value,Parameters!DisplayCols.Value)
Note that we should type the correct parameters in the GetColumnFieldName function.
If there are any misunderstanding, please elaborate the issue for further investigation.

Can I save data (in txt or excel format) from a snapshot from signal express 2013 LE?  My data buffer is too larege to export to excel.  When I try to take a snapshot, I do not see any data.  Are snapshots supported in the LE mode?  This is the free version that comes with the USB 6009 ADC.

Yes, the snapshot function is available for SignalExpress 2013 LE. Does the snapshot function as intended when you try other projects?

  • How to transfer all emails and contacts from Outlook Express to Outlook 2010

I have just done this and believe me it was a bit of a marathon! Microsoft tell you that you need to have both Outlook Express and Outlook 2010 running on the same machine. If, like me, your Outlook 2010 in running on a Windows 7 platform there is a problem.
Until now I have been using Outlook Express on a Desktop running XP Pro. It has Outlook 2007 but it won’t run owing to a corrupted file. I set up my email account on an old XP laptop which has Outlook 2007. This is how I transferred emails between 2 machines
    running Outlook Express:
After setting up the account (on the old laptop) I created sub-folders exactly the same as my existing account. Having got some emails in the inbox I made sure that each new sub-folder contained at least one random email simply by drag and drop. It seems to
validate the folders. I then copied the folders from the maintenance directory on the desktop (you find this under Tools – Options – Maintenance) and pasted them into the equivalent folder on the this old laptop so they overwrote those present. I transferred
the contacts simply using Export – Address Book using a csv file. I then set up the email account in Outlook 2007 on the old laptop and ran an import from Outlook Express which was fine as per Microsoft’s instructions. On that machine I then exported to a
backup pst file which I transferred to my new Windows 7 machine and imported successfully into Outlook 2010. Perhaps there are easier ways but at least it worked!

You can directly do the same, visit https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/196215 to know the steps.

  • How can I remove the " Source.vi" from long Express VI Names?

I am in the Moment working on the Development of an Express VI
    library for test purposes.
How can I remove the " Source.vi" from long Express VI Names?
This happens when the Express VI is inserted in the blockdiagram
and listed in LabVIEW and TestStand Palettes.
By short names like "DAQ-Assistent" or "EasyCalc" the string " Source.vi"
is not shown at the end of the Express VI names.
I used The Express VI Dev Toolkit 1.0 to create the Express VIs.
    Labview Version: 7.1 Base
    TestStand: 3.1
It would be great to get the expert advice from the Forum for this issue!
    Thanks a lot.
    Andre

I think I understand what you are asking for. If I am wrong, please try to explain it a bit more.
The name shown may be different than the name of the vi file. To do this, your source VI and popup on its icon. From the short menu that comes up, select VI properties. In the top ring, select Window Appearance. The page that comes up lets you set various things that can affect the appearance of the VI. What you want to change is the window title. Uncheck the Same as VI name checkbox and change the string to whatever you want it to be.
    I hope that this helps,
