Execute a program only in background

Hi,
When we set sy-batch to 'X',this will enable the background processing functionality.
But is there any other variable or any method to avoid the below functionality.
execute program by pressing F8.On selection-screen,in the menu bar under 'Program',there is a drop down which says 'Execute in background'.
Is it possible to prevent the program from executing in this manner?If yes,how?
The user should not execute in background in this manner with his/her own variants.That is the idea of this functionality.

Please check the code below, this will disable the 'Execute in Backgroup' option in the selection screen.

    if you don't want the selection screen or the output...you can use the option
    SUBMIT <RPT> EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY AND RETURN
    this will directly execute the report without showing you the selection screen or the output..
    now you also want a value from report 2 into report1...you can set the value from report 2 into a memory variable..using EXPORT to memory id option....

  • Problem when I execute program SCM in background

    Hi experts,
        I am with problem when I execute a program (SCM) in background. I inserted a new field (estoque_seg(10)) and the process stopped at execute in background.When I call transaction and press F8, works but for this, I need jump the consistence  IF sy-batch IS INITIAL....Dont has any bath imput, only functions. Any idea?

    Hi Raja,
                Check weather there are  any enhancements to the datasource.If yes once check the code in CMOD.Seems there is some discrepency in that.

    When you will Execute your program in Background internal table "ZPERNR" will be populated from the file that is there on the application server.
    After that what you want to do with the internal table.I think you have not sent the whole code.
    In background FM GUI_UPLOAD willl not work.
    If you want to debug your code put wait for 100 seconds at the place where you want to dubug your code.Go to transaction code SM50 your job will be running there.
    Select Your job
    Go to  Menu Bar Program/Mode - > program - > Debugging.
    In this way you can debug your code.
    First Check in the Foreground your program is working for the application server file or not

  • How do i force a program to only in background

    a zreport which is gives stock report and mrp and some data. It is IS retail so the materials are huge. i need to run this program on in background even if it is intended to run ionf oreground. pls suggest

  • Vaue of sy-tcode when executing the report program in the background

    Hello All,
    To test and find out the value of sy-tcode when the report program is exectued in the background. I have done the below steps.
    1. created a report program with the code given below.
    Select option was just defiend to get the selection screen. it is of no use.
    Select-options: s_name for sy-uname.
    Write:/ sy-uname,sy-tcode.
    2. then I created a transaction for the program to identify whether the value of sy-tcode explicitly.
    3. Then I launched the transaction and in the selection screen of the program I selected the option of executing the program in the backgroung and i process the job immediately.
    4 . In the spool I am able to see the correct sy-uname value but not the sy-tcode.
    Where as if i am executing it in the foregroung it is giving the correct value of sy-uname and sy-tcode.
    Can anybody provide me the reason as to why this is happening . that is in the backgound mode the value of sy-tcode is getting cleared.

    As they say it is an SAP standard behavior, you can "hardcode" the transaction itself into the ABAP code...

  • Executable programs only!!

    Is there any way of finding ONLY executable programs ( these should not have any UPDATE/ INSERT/ CALL TRANSACTION / ETC statements.)
    I looked through the tables TADIR, TRDIRT and view TRDIR with SUBC = 1 ( executable program) with no luck. Becuase, an executable program may also contain above statements. I need only executable report programs.

    For analysing single reports or transactions you can use function module <b>RS_PROGRAM_TABLES</b>. Call this function module with the following parameters (MONITOR_ACTIVATE = 'X'):
    OBJECT_TYPE   = 'TRAN'

    Or:
    OBJECT_TYPE   = 'PROG'
    PROGRAM         = 'RSTXICON'

  • Executing 4 programs parallely via main program in background

  • How to get the custom program generated in Background

    Dear Freinds,
    I have written a below code in my submit program ( zreport) .
    REPORT  ZHRRPCPRRU0_SUBMIT  NO STANDARD PAGE HEADING MESSAGE-ID zhr_msg.
    SUBMIT RPTQTA00 VIA SELECTION-SCREEN
    WITH pnpbegda = sy-datum
    WITH pnpendda = lv_date
    with pnppernr = '99007057'.
    As per your logic i have used the submit program and i am able to default the dates  in the Standard program RPTQTA00 , that is perfectly correct . Now if run the standard report it is giivng me the ouput ..so the foreground concept is working correctly.
    Now if iam scheduling the Z report of the custom report (z program) where iam calling the submit program
    it is just scheduling and further when i look at the sm37 i can see the  job getting finished . However , i dont  find any spool because the standard report has not been executed , with my custom report (using the logic with submit program above in zprogram ) i am calling the standard program (RPTQTA00).
    so could you please let me know how the standard program will execute and get the spool genereated? in the case of background
    because when  i have executed only the standard report in background i can see that it is being exceuted spool as well, however when iam calling from custom program no spool is created because my custom program only submiting the standard report and it is not executing the standard report in the case of backround ...because when iam running the custom program in the Foreground it is calling the standard program and getting the values defaulted based on the parameters which i passed , so it gets defaulted later iam running the standard program manually .
    So please could you let me know how will the standard program also gets genereated in the backgroung along with my custom report.

  • Using SUBMIT program command in Background

    Hi,
    I am submitting the program in Background using Submit<program> command.
    Job is getting released but not fininishing(not executing the program) in ECC6.0.
    Same program is working in fine in 4.5b.

    Hi,
    perhaps you or your admin have configured to less batch-workprocess or they are all configured only for A-class jobs.
    Try to start the job as A-Class job. If the program is executed, then ask your administrator to configure more batch workprocess that are not reserved for A-class jobs.

  • Authorization Error while executing a program

    Hi All,
               I have developed a program which calls VF02 transaction in background. But while executing it, the program fails with message'No authorization for sales organization XXXX'.
    The users who are executing the program does not have access to VF02 and for security reasons the access can not be given to the users.
    So my question is whether this error is due to no access to 'VF02' or with the sales organization?
    Can we give access to the users according to sales organization rather than giving authorization for VF02 ?
    If not then whats the solution to rectify this error without giving VF02 access to users?
    Please help.

    Hi Sandeep
    The OP's question appears to be 'If I give a custom transaction to a user it seems to then call an object unexpectedly that has a sales organisation value because I'm using it to call VF02".
    Due to SU24 not being updated for the custom transaction I'm guessing.
    A trace would probably assist when working with the functional team to decide what is really needed but I'm a little lost as to what is being asked of either the OP or the security/ABAP teams as this is pretty basic stuff...

  • Error while executing FP_TEST_00 program

    Hi,
    I configured ADS, it was working fine,i'am able to take all the PDF documents from SAP.
    But now when i execute FP_TEST_00 program i got an error message that
    "ADS: SOAP Runtime Exception: CSoapExceptionFault : SOAP(100102)
        Message no. FPRUNX001"
    But when i run FP_PDF_TEST_00 program it is giving me the Version information.
    I'am unable to find a solution.Please guide me

    4.  Check the settings for the destination service
                  To use the destination service on AS Java, settings are required on AS ABAP and AS Java. Therefore, this test contains several steps.
                  4. 1 In your ABAP system (transaction SA38), call the FP_CHECK_DESTINATION_SERVICE program (available as of NW2004s SPS 08).
                           a) First of all, execute the program without selecting the option "With Destination Service".
                           The system processes a test form in the background and displays the size of the generated PDF. It does not use the destination service in the process.
                           b) Now select the option "With Destination Service" and execute the program again. The system processes the test form, using the destination service.
    If the system displays the same message (file size of generated PDF) as it does in a), the configuration of the destination service is correct.
                        -> Proceed to the next point (5).
    If the system issues an error message, the configuration of the destination service is incorrect.
                        -> Carry out tests 4.2 to 4.4.
                  4. 2 Check whether the /default_host/sap/bc/fp and /default_host/sap/bc/fpads ICF services are active. (transaction SICF). If this service is not active, activate it. Note: As of NW2004s Support Package Stack 12, when you bundle in distributed systems (in other words, for "non-double-stack installations"), it is optional to use the fpads ICF service
                  4.3 Check the settings for the ICF service.
                           a) Enter the following URL in your Web browser:

                        < server> is the AS ABAP, <port> is the HTTP port of the AS ABAP. (you can determine this information using transaction SICF).
                           b) In the dialog box for the user, enter ADS_AGENT and the relevant password.
    If the ICF service settings are correct, the browser displays the layout information of the FP_TEST_00 form in XML format.
                        -> Proceed with point 4.4.
    If the browser displays an error message instead of the XML file, a configuration error occurred.
                        -> Check whether the user ADS_AGENT exists on the AS ABAP, and if the user has the required authorizations and roles (SAP_BC_FP_ICF).
                  4.4. Check the settings for the destination service on AS Java
                           a) Call Visual Administrator and navigate to Services -> Destinations

                           d) The system calls the ABAP system that stores the form templates.
    If the settings are correct, the system issues the message: "HTTP GET response code 200 Content Type/xml."
                        -> Proceed with point 5.
    If the system issues an error message, the configuration of the destination service is incorrect.
                        -> Contact your system administrator and ask them to correct the settings for the destination service.
                           e) Do not forget to change the URL back to http://<server>:<port>.
