Hi,
You cannot call out to command-line from a Flash SWF, it is sandboxed so does not know how to do any of that.
One (complicated) option would be to write your own app to embed the SWF into, a real app can then call out to do whatever you want, then you just have to get the SWF to communicate with your app using External Interface, it would be a lot of work.

Command line from ExtendScript

I would like to call a command line from a FrameMaker ExtendScript script. Is this possible? Any help or pointers will be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Rick,
AFAIK there's no direct way to call a process with parameters by ExtendScript.
If want to call a process without parameters, you can execute this file with method "execute" with is provided by "File" class .
If I have to call this process with parameters, I write write a batch file by script and execute this file.

I m working to migrate from XP SP3 to Windows 7 using SCCM 2012 R2 CU4 but I have a boot error similar as above. Normally with CU4, XP will be supported by WInPE 5.1 (ADK 8.1). it's a refresh scenario, the task sequence was launched from XP. USMT will
use a local store.

CUPS stands for Common Unix Printing System and is just one of the many background processes that is running on your system and is of no harm. What you are seeing in your message console is your Mac attempting to talk to a printer you have may have had or still have it connected to.

Unable to export to PowerPoint from Xcelsius 2008

Xcelsius 2008 does not export to Powerpoint, it doesn't do anything. I have clicked on the button to export and tried going to the File - Export to - . . . but nothing happens.

I've read the Xcelsius2008_release_notes_en.pdf on the installation disc. (especially when going to Adobe's articles for Flash 8 & 9) A lot of reading, most of which I do not understand but get the jest of it. I must say that I do not think that this is the 'problem' here. I do not get any 'warnings' of any kind that it cannot do that function.
At first when I tried to export from Xcelsius 2008 into Powerpoint it would not do anything as you may recall. Then when I opened up the Task Manager it started working. (NOTE: when I hover my mouse icon over the export buttons in Xcelsius usually this pops up a bubble stating 'what' it would do if I click on the button. There are only two buttons where something displays when I hover my mouse and those are "Export to Outlook and Export to Business Objects Platform". None of the other buttons seem to have this bubble.
Now I am trying to export to Powerpoint again with another file and it opens Powerpoint but the screen is blank and there is no view slideshow option. It will however let me export to just a plain 'swf' format. Which is not acceptable for our purposes. My boss said I should UNINSTALL Xcelsius 2008 and REinstall it again.
Any solutions or ideas???????

I've a problem It's very single for you: this consists in execute a command from java
in this case the command is : runas but I've tried nd is good but I can´t include the password.
This is due to the sintaxis is :
runas /user:127.0.0.1\Administrator cmd
The first command is execute but.. the problem is it show the input for the password.
And the password is not let including in the command line
How can I do that? Please help me is very urgent.

Executing commands read from text file

I'm trying to execute full command lines that I am reading in from a text file. For example, each line in the file contains a full call to a method that I have already written, including arguments. I have opened the text file, can read in line by line and store in an array, but how do I go about executing the commands?
For example, if the first slot in my array contains the string "myMethod(50, 100);" how can I effectively get that to execute, followed by the next comand, etc.?
I think I'm overshooting this, because it really shouldn't be difficult.
Help would be reciprocated with undying gratitude and perhaps the sacrifice of a pot nellied pig in your name.

I write script to transfer file from our local drive to sFTP server.
I try to run the script from Run Operating System Command After Message Processing in CC
The script not run.
When I try to run this script from our XI server from CMD the script running.
I add the script command line:
"C:\Program Files\WinSCP\WinSCP.exe" /console /script="C:\Program Files\WinSCP\fromnetafim.txt"&"C:\Program Files\WinSCP\script.bat"
I'll be happy to hear what I need to add to this line to run the script from communication channel.

Hi,
You just post ur output file in some folder , lets say /usr/sap/sapout/test/.and the shell script in this path /usr/sap/bin/convert.sh.
Inside the File access parameters put target directory and filename scehme and for shell script give processing parameters as File construction mode , File type and OS Command and use a space after the shell script name and the %F.
And for input can use it directly.

Problem executing command line program

Hi I have a tuxedo command line app in Solaris 2.6. I was able to execute the program from unix prompt however when I try to do it from JAVA program, it does not work.
I have to execute from command line as follows

during command line execution from second line on you will not get the prompt. After entering a balnk line the program will execute and provide the output.
I was aslo able to execute the program by putting the last 4 lines in a file(say test.bat) and executing by issuing following command at the unix prompt

Hmm, maybe you should also give additional Excape Characters to the Process (so adding \t where you have written <TAB>, or adding \r to the lines).

Invoke command line from remote computer

Hi everyone, I'm new for abap, I have a problem need to be solved. the problem can be describe like this:
I have a text file ("abc.txt" for example) from an application server. I need to upload that file to another Win 32 computer, which already has a program "PGP Command Line". From application server, I need to call a command to encrypt abc.txt file. THe problem is that I don't know how to invoke a command of Win32 server from my computer. I think 'SXPG COMMAND EXECUTE' can not help much because it cannot run command from remote server.
Anyone have any idea?
