Execute via MS-DOS parameters

Right-click command.com (MS-DOS) -> Properties -> Program
What goes into these fields so that it will execute a jar file in the same folder? I tried
"C:\My Documents\folder\java.exe" -jar program.jar
But MS-DOS executes with "
Specified COMMAND search directory bad
Too many parameters
Too many parameters
Too many parameters
Too many parameters
"and then continues with the functionality of a normally executed MS-DOS window.

OK, I'll try to put it the simplest way I can:
Find you JDK's path on your hard drive, it should be something like
"C:\Program Files\jdk1.4.2_09\bin" (it's important that you add the \bin becouse there is where the java.exe file is)
Copy that path to your Clipboard, or just learn it.
Then, right click on your "My PC" icon in the desktop and choose "Properties"
Now, select the "Advanced" tab and find the "Enviroment variables" button.
Click on "New" and write the following:
Name: Path
Value: %path%; C:\Program Files\jdk1.4.2_09\bin;
I'm using "C:\Program Files\jdk1.4.2_09\bin" as example, but you have to replace it with you current jdk path. It's very important that you keep the '%' and the ';'
Use the command line to compile and run your program.
It's easy, just Start->Run and type "cmd" in the Run prompt.
Then use the "cd" command to locate the folder in wich your .java files are (example: as it usually starts in your user folder "C:\Documents and Settings\myUsername", all you'll have to type is, for example: cd "desktop\myProyect" asuming you have your files in a folder named myProject in your desktop).
Then, since you already set your enviroment variables (the Path variable), you just have to type "javac MyMainClassName.java". This will compile your file and all your custom classes that are imported.
Then, type "java MyMainClassName" (without the .java) to run it.

  • SSIS fails to load files from network when executed via SQL server Agent (SQL server 2008 R2 SP 2)

    Hi All,
    I have a simple SSIS package that reads a flat file and copies it into a SQL Server table.
    When the flat fiel is on the C drive I have no problem runnign this package from SQL Server Agent, but as soon as I update the path to a network location the package only works when I run it manually, but fails when is executed via the SQL Server agent job.
    The error says "cannot open the datafile", while the datafile location is valid.
    Is this a kind of limitation of a SQL Server Agent that only local files are allowed to be processed?
    Thanks,

  • ADF how can i execute a query with parameters when the page renders

    hi
    i am using ADF web 11g
    i need to execute a query with parameters when the page renders
    thanks

    hello,
    I'm a fan of Java code, I really am.
    But when you use ADF, you decided to move to a more declarative environment.
    So why not do it declarative, the adf way?
    In your pagedef insert a action binding.
    This can be anything, a call to the application module, a call on the iterator(Like executeWithparams, etc.)
    Create an invokeAction in your pagedef and set the condition.
    This example refreshes(Action 2 is execute query) the data.
    First the method binding:
        <action IterBinding="PersoonIterator" id="Execute" InstanceName="LSAppModuleDataControl.Persoon"
                DataControl="LSAppModuleDataControl" RequiresUpdateModel="true" Action="2"/>And the invoke action
        <invokeAction Binds="Execute" id="refreshData"/>This always refreshes the data on page entry, but anything is possible, you can set condictions for the invokeAction.
    -Anton
    PS Yes I know that pagedefs become backing beans in the end and yes that is Java code, but if you wanna play the ADF way, the goal is the reduction of Java code and the increased performance of declarative programming.

  • Executing Procedure with default parameters !!

    hi want a small help ...
    I have a
    procedure p1(p1 in number default 2, p2 in number default 3)
    begin
    end;
    When the procedure will be called without passing parameters it will execute with default parameters.
    That time I want to dispay message saying
    " AS paramters are not passed, procedure is being executed with foll. default parameters:
    Param 1 = 2
    Param 2 = 3 "
    Now issue is how do I capture this condition that , the parameters are being passed and it is using default parameters ?
    Thanks

    The IF NOT NULL check for the parameters cannot be inside the same procedure becuase when you reach that statement, even though the parameter are not passed to this procedure, at that stage, the parameters will acquire the dfault values already assigned to them. So you never reach the else part of it.
    That;s why i said, use third parameter and assign the value to this third parameter from the calling environment.

  • Multi row insert or Batch execute via OLE DB?

    Hi all,
    This is my first posting and thanks for answering my questions.
    I would like to know if there is a way to do multiple row insert to an oracle table via OLE DB or .NET technology. Currently, we are using the JDBC connection and that technology has a very handy method called: PrepareStatement which allows us to execute a batch of insert in one go.
    However, we have to switch to the OLE DB camp but I could not find the PrepareStatement equivalent method in OLE DB that allows me to execute a batch of command. My understanding is, in OLE DB, I can create a ADO.command object and assign it with an Insert Statement and then assign parameters which are the input values. However, it looks like I have to exeucte the command one at a time instead of adding them into a batch command like what PrepareStatement does.
    I am fairly new to OLE DB. Can you tell me if there is a way to execute a batch of insert command in a more efficient manner? Or is there a way in .NET or ODP.NET or ADO.NET? Either OLE DB or .NET route is good for us.
    Thanks for the input.
    Michael
    P.S. I am using Oracle 10g with OraOLEDB.Oracle as the OLE DB data provider

    Hi,
    See the site http://www.geocities.com/oledbpro/docs/examples/multiprocs.htm I think it is better to use parameterized insert/update statement to complete the work for the fastest speed.

  • Event flow in ABAP is different when executed via SE80 vs. via TCODE

    Hi,
    We have many existing custom ABAP report pgms that have a custom transaction code that executes them.  Regardless of how the pgms are invoked, the event sequence in the pgm is INITIALIZATION, AT SELECTION-SCREEN, START-OF-SELECTION. etc.
    Now, when I create a new pgm with a transaction code to invoke it, the event sequence when executing the pgm via SE38 is as before (All 3 events above are triggered).  However when I invoke the pgm via the custom transaction code, only the event At SELECTION-SCREEN is executed.  (Not the INITIALIZATION or the START-OF-SELECTION events).
    We have upgraded our SAP GUI from 6.4 to 7.1.   We are upgrading our system from 46.C to ECC6.  I get this error in ECC6 and also in the old system 46.C which is causing me to question whether the SAP Gui is involved.  We are using SAP GUI 7.1 in both the 46.C and ECC6 systems.
    Any help will be appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Deb

    Hi All,
    Here is my ABAP Code.  I have put break points in the code so I can track the sequence.
    REPORT ZDEBNEW .
    data zdeb(2) type c.
    tables kna1.
    SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF BLOCK A WITH FRAME TITLE TEXT-002.
    SELECT-OPTIONS: I_KTOKD for KNA1-KTOKD.
    SELECTION-SCREEN END OF BLOCK A.
    INITIALIZATION.
      zdeb = '1'.   "break
      sy-subrc = sy-subrc.
    PAI
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN.
      zdeb = '2'.  "break
      sy-subrc = sy-subrc.
    START-OF-SELECTION.
      zdeb = '3'.  "break
      sy-subrc = sy-subrc.
    END-OF-SELECTION.
      zdeb = '4'.   "break
      sy-subrc = sy-subrc.
    As for the type of transaction I am using...I created it via SE93 and specify SELECTION SCREEN 1000.  I classify it as a Professional User transaction.  One other thing I have noticed is that when I view the new pgm via SE80 I do not see Screen 1000 in the left navigation panel.  If I try to create such a screen in SE80, it says it already exists.  I can see Screen 1000 from tran SE51.  In one of the existing old pgms, I do see screen 1000 when I view SE80.
    Thanks for the help and interest!!!

  • Strange error in query executed via DBLink

    Hi,
    I am running below big query(existing code in my project) on a oracle database(DB1) schema which accesses data from tables located in a remote oracle database(DB2) schema.
    But I am getting error:
    ORA-00904: "CERMA"."EFFECTIVE_TO": invalid identifier
    ORA-02063: preceding line from <DB_LINK_NAME>
    The concerned table is present in remote database  and  simple "select *  from" on the concerned table from  DB1 is working properly but when used in below query it is giving the above error.
    The system design is as follows:
    DB2  -  In this database ,Views are created in SCHEMA1 of this database which refer the underlying tables in SCHEMA2 of same database.
    e.g. view name = clm_claims_basic_info_vw
    DB1  -  In this database , synonyms are created(with name same as underlying tables) to access the underlying table data via the views created in DB2.
    e.g. synonym name = clm_claims_basic_info
    DB1  -  Query executed in this database which uses all the synonyms.
    e.g.
    select ..... from clm_claims_basic_info,clm_claim_scheme_dtl
    Also this query was working fine few days back and now suddenly failing without any code-changes, but we don't know what else has changed.
    Can you please suggest what could be the reason?

    I would assume this means that it can't find that column in that table.
    Usually this is because the column isn't there, the table/view isn't there, or there's no select permissions to the table/view.
    To try to narrow this down try:
    SELECT CERMA.EFFECTIVE_TO FROM com_escalation_rate_mst cerma
    SELECT CERMA.EFFECTIVE_TO FROM com_escalation_rate_mst@db2 cerma
    If the synonym and view names are the same, try the first query in both databases or adjust as necessary.
    It could also be a permissions issue, like maybe the schema the link uses to DB2 doesn't have select permissions to that view?
    As far as to why it stopped working, I have no idea.
    You can approach this from bottom up (start with the tables on DB2 and move up)
    or top down (start with the synonyms on DB1 and move down)
    That will give you an idea of where the issue lies.

  • Execute javascript with input parameters of a taskflow

    Using JDev 11g PS4
    I have a taskflow that uses some javascript. When the taskflow has been loaded, I need to execute a javascript function that uses 2 input parameters of my taskflow.
    I don't really know how I can execute the javascript with my input parameters.
    As a test, I have added a commandButton in my taskflow that will do the job:
    <af:commandButton id="btnRefresh" text="Open">
                <af:clientAttribute name="long" value="#{pageFlowScope.pLong}"/>
                <af:clientAttribute name="lat" value="#{pageFlowScope.pLat}"/>
                <af:clientListener method="doNavigate" type="click"/>
            </af:commandButton>How do I do the same when the taskflow loads instead of needing to push the button.

    Please find attached sample based on your use-case:
    http://adfsampleapplications.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/JavascriptOnLoadSample.rar
    It invokes a javascript function on pagefragment load by passing the input parameters from the taskflow.

  • How do i get a output in CSV of a SQL query executed via SQL Command prompt

    Hi All,
    I have a question with reference to SQL command prompt. I have a sql query which runs properly and gives proper execution in SQL Management console in GUI.
    This report is used to pull the free disk space report of our servers
    As i want to schedule it as a report so i want to script it to run via SQL command prompt. I made the script and it works fine if i enter it in SQL command prompt. When i try to extract the output to a CSV File it fails. Below is the details of the command
    i am using to query to pull the data. Can anyone help me in getting the output of this query in SQL command prompt.
    sqlcmd -W -s , -S Servers FQDN
    use operationsmanager
    Go
    Query:"select Path, InstanceName, SampleValue
    from PerformanceDataAllView pdv with (NOLOCK)
    inner join PerformanceCounterView pcv on pdv.performancesourceinternalid = pcv.performancesourceinternalid
    inner join BaseManagedEntity bme on pcv.ManagedEntityId = bme.BaseManagedEntityId
    where SampleValue < '20' and CounterName='% Free Space' and TimeSampled > '2014-08-06 11:00:00.00'
    order by countername, timesampled" -s "," -o "C:\DataSqlCmd.csv"
    Go
    When i enter the command without the quotes when the query is starting and ending and also without the output command (-s "," -o "C:\DataSqlCmd.csv") it is working and shows the output in the command prompt. Below is the screen shot for
    your reference.
    Due to security reasons i have to erase the server names:
    But when i add the line to extract the output ( -s "," -o "C:\DataSqlCmd.csv") It gives me this error:
    The exact command would be:
    sqlcmd -W -s , -S CINMLVSCOM01.e2klab.ge.com
    use operationsmanager
    Go
    "select Path, InstanceName, SampleValue
    from PerformanceDataAllView pdv with (NOLOCK)
    inner join PerformanceCounterView pcv on pdv.performancesourceinternalid = pcv.performancesourceinternalid
    inner join BaseManagedEntity bme on pcv.ManagedEntityId = bme.BaseManagedEntityId
    where SampleValue < '20' and CounterName='% Free Space' and TimeSampled > '2014-08-06 11:00:00.00'
    order by countername, timesampled" -s "," -o "C:\DataSqlCmd.csv" -h-1
    Go
    saying the syntax is not correct or some thing as per the below screenshot.
    Can any one please help. Below is just the query whi i use to get the output in SQL management studio.
    Can any one make a command for the below quer so i can directly execute and test for getting the output.
    select Path, InstanceName, SampleValue
    from PerformanceDataAllView pdv with (NOLOCK)
    inner join PerformanceCounterView pcv on pdv.performancesourceinternalid = pcv.performancesourceinternalid
    inner join BaseManagedEntity bme on pcv.ManagedEntityId = bme.BaseManagedEntityId
    where SampleValue < '20' and CounterName='% Free Space' and TimeSampled > '2014-08-06 11:00:00.00'
    order by countername, timesampled
    Gautam.75801

    Can you try the below query?
    select Path, InstanceName, SampleValue
    from PerformanceDataAllView pdv with (NOLOCK)
    inner join PerformanceCounterView pcv on pdv.performancesourceinternalid = pcv.performancesourceinternalid
    inner join BaseManagedEntity bme on pcv.ManagedEntityId = bme.BaseManagedEntityId
    where SampleValue < 20 and CounterName like '% Free Space' and TimeSampled > '2014-08-06 11:00:00.00'
    order by countername, timesampled
    -- replace the below query part in the below SQLCMD C:\>SQLCMD -S SERVERNAME -E -d operationsmanager -Q "select * from sys.databases ds with (nolock) where name='master'" -s "," -o "F:\PowerSQL\MyData.csv" -h -1
    SQLCMD -S SERVERNAME -E -d OperationsManager -Q "select Path, InstanceName, SampleValue
    from PerformanceDataAllView pdv with (NOLOCK)
    inner join PerformanceCounterView pcv on pdv.performancesourceinternalid = pcv.performancesourceinternalid
    inner join BaseManagedEntity bme on pcv.ManagedEntityId = bme.BaseManagedEntityId
    where SampleValue < '20' and CounterName='% Free Space' and TimeSampled > '2014-08-06 11:00:00.00'
    order by countername, timesampled" -s "," -o "c:\MyData.csv" -h -1

  • Creating Stored Procedure Logs when executed via dbms_jobs..

    Hello Everybody,
    I am having a stored procedure which we are executing it via dbms_jobs..
    I wanted to print the dbms_output of my stored procedure to some log file or in short just wanted to create some logs for this stored procedure..
    I know if i run this procedure using cron i will be able to create a logfile..
    But how can i achieve this in using dbms_jobs
    Database Version : 10.2.0.1
    Any help would be great..
    Thanks

    There are several choices, you can log things into database table, and the review the table.
    Another option is to use UTL_FILE package to write log file in operating system.
    With kind regards

    hallo,
    test this:
    Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(Your_Programm);
    p.waitFor();
    LineNumberReader lnr = new LineNumberReader(new InputStreamReader(p.getInputStream()));
    Your_Programm must be a shellscript. regard that your java programm must have the right to start the httpd!

  • Call WoC View via URL with parameters

    Hi,
    I'm already able to call a particular WoC view via URL by passing the app.component and app.inport parameters.
    Is there also any way to pass specific filter values, e.g. a customer id?
    Thank You!

    Hi Dennis,
    yes, you can pass the parameter of the Inport as well.
    An example is the Sales order QAF for 'New Sales Order' which has an inport ContactIDWriteBackIn. This inport allows passing an parameter called ID which is then mapped to the Contact ID of the UI.
    The corresponding call is:
    https://....?app.component=/SAP_BYD_APPLICATION_UI/crm/soc/salesorderqafeco.QA.uicomponent&rootWindow=X&redirectUrl=%2fsap%2fbyd%2fruntime&&sap-client=004&sap-language=EN&app.inport=ContactIDWriteBackIn&param.ID=1000450
    I hope this helps,
    Thomas

  • Executing procedures with OUT parameters using Named notation

    I have a procedure with two out parameters (p_errortext and p_returncode) and i want to execute this proc in SQL*plus using named notation(using association operator ' => '). For position based execution i usually declare variables to hold the OUT parameter's value. But how can i do this while executing using named notation (using => )
    begin
         packagename.generate_ref_record(p_userid  => 'THELMA',
                                      p_ref_code       => '9A',
                                      p_item_id    => '9990000011163',
                                      p_shipno     => '0PH',
                                      p_errortext  =>  ??
                                      p_returncode =>  ??);
    end;

    SQL>variable x varchar2(30);
    SQL>variable y varchar2(30);
    SQL>exec packagename.generate_ref_record(p_userid  => 'THELMA',
                                          p_ref_code       => '9A',
                                          p_item_id    => '9990000011163',

                                          p_errortext  =>  :x
                                          p_returncode =>  :y);
