ExecuteQuery throws InternalQueryException when KeywordQuery.SelectProperties on Managed Property of type 'Double FloatingPoint'

Hi,
I have setup a Managed Property of type 'Double Floating Point', and mapped to a crawled property.
When I issue the following code,
KeywordQuery keywordQuery = new KeywordQuery(siteCollection);
keywordQuery.QueryText = ...
keywordQuery.SelectProperties.Add("ExchangeRate");
SearchExecutor searchExecutor = new SearchExecutor();
ResultTableCollection resultTableCollection = searchExecutor.ExecuteQuery(keywordQuery);
The code throws an 'Microsoft.Office.Server.Search.Query.InternalQueryErrorException'. I analyzed the ULS log, and found this as direct error notification:
Microsoft.Ceres.Evaluation.DataModel.EvaluationException: An exception occured when calling FastServer. ---> Microsoft.Ceres.SearchCore.FastServer.FastServerException: IndexComponent1-f34858ee-1c6e-46ba-9758-78749afaf567-SP5952a1cf3556.I.0.0:
bad lexical cast: source type value could not be interpreted as target: [docsum, correlation id: 0FA2047C-5BF9-4FE8-9199-D1AEEDCED786]
When I leave out the selection of the double floating point Managed Property, the query evaluates successful.
As additional test I instead mapped the crawled property to a Managed Property of type Decimal; and used that as 'SelectedProperty'. This does work.
Question: is it not possible to KeywordQuery.SelectProperty on Managed Property of type 'Double'?

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you want to setup a setup a Managed Property of type 'Double Floating Point', and mapped to a crawled property.
Per my knowledge, it is not supported to map Managed Property of type 'Double Floating Point' to a crawled property.
You’d better to change the type to double floating point.

When I try typing a document it types double letters

I'm trying to type a document and every time I type on a key it types the letter double. I've slowed down the Key Repeat Rate with no luck, what should I do?

Did you increase the "Delay until Repeat". Slowing repeat rate only slows how fast a key is repeated. Increasing the delay means it will take longer for a push on a key to start repeating.

Problem with Path Managed property in alternate zones - also we have identified problem with Product catalog in alt zones

I'll start "one step back". Note we have resolved this issue but it is worth mentioning:
Yesterday we set up the product catalog. We were having a lot of inexplicable problems with it initially. After much troubleshooting, we found that it was because we were browsing the SharePoint site via the "Internet Zone" rather than the "Default
Zone" when we "Connected" our site to the product catalog. Issues experienced:
1) "Catalog Item URL Format" displayed error "Properties <Managed Property> specified by the shared catalog could not be found in the search schema" when attempting to connect to the catalog, despite that managed property being
configured correctly. The catalog would connect despite the error, and the navigation worked fine.
2) The search Result Source for the catalog would not return any results. Configuring the query and selecting "Advanced Mode" would show SPSiteURL:http://externalURL.domain.com. Changing SPSiteURL manually to
http://InternalURL resulted in results being returned as expected.
After much troubleshooting, we found that if were browsing SharePoint using the default zone (http://InternalURL) when we connected the Product Catalog, the result source then worked properly (internally and externally).
Ok, so now onto our current problem:
The Product Catalog appeared to be working properly (internally and externally) after figuring out that we needed to connect it from the Default Zone. However, we have found a remaining glitch, which doesn't appear to be Product-Catalog-specific. Consider
the following scenario:
1) We click a category in our Product Catalog, such as Electronics
2) A list of our electronic devices are presented via the "Category" display page
3) If we click on a specific item, a different URL is returned internally vs externally. We only get the friendly managed navigation URL when browsing via the Default zone. And of course totally different pages load based on which URL you get.
Internal (when browsing via Default zone):
http://InternalURL/catalog/PRODUCT-CATEGORY/PRODUCT-NAME
External (when browsing via Internet zone):
http://ExternalURL.domain.com/catalog/Lists/Products/DispForm.aspx?ID=1
We have reviewed the display template, and the "Path" managed property is simply being used to render the link. Furthermore, we have configured the Content Search web part's "Property Mappings" to show the "Path" MP, and it
displays the same (wrong) result externally.
This tells us that the Path MP is not correctly rendering "Friendly URLs" when using managed navigation.
Any help/ideas?
Our environment:
SharePoint Version: 15.0.4667.1000
Default Zone: http://InternalURL
Internet Zone: http://ExternalURL.domain.com
We are NOT using host named site collections
We ARE crawling the Default zone URL in our content source

Hi,
We have now also observed the same issue with a Managed Property of type “Hyperlink/Picture”. The picture returns the wrong URL externally.
This post describes the same issue, however the poster found that setting UseAAMMapping=True doesn’t work in 2013:

We checked, and our Picture MP had UseAAMMapping=False. We set it to True, did a full crawl, and see no change in behavior. Path already had UseAAMMapping=True.

Dots In Managed Property Name

Hello,
What is the correct syntax for searching using managed property which has the "." symbol in its name?
For example if I have a managed property: "namespace.childnamespace.propertyname"
and try to search using:
"namespace.childnamespace.propertyname:searchtext"
No results are returned. If I create an alias without the dots it is working.
So the question is if there is a way to query by the property without creating an alias?

Hi Nikolay,
When we create a managed property in SharePoint, it will check for the special characters in the name of the managed property.
Even though we can name the managed property by using other special characters, e.g. a hyphen, a dot, they cannot be used in search when querying for items.
And Microsoft only uses the underscore in the name of Managed Properties.
So to be able to use the managed property, you need to re-name it without the dots.

Query with an integer managed property

Hello everyone,
A (I hope) simple question. How to do search with a managed property of type Integer (or non-text type in general)?
Here is what I am doing and fail to make function so far.
Create a column of type Number with a Document Library; name it LocalNumColumn.
Crawl once to have it as a crawled property: ows_LocalNumColumn.
Map it to one of the out-of-box predefined managed property: RefinableInt00.
Re-crawl to populate the managed property, though not sure if necessary.
It works with the Refinement web part. I am able to refine a search result, choosing a defined threshold.
But that's it. I cannot use it in any other way, such as with the Content Search web part.
A query like "path:"..." (IsDocument:"True" OR contentclass:"STS_ListItem") RefinableInt00>1000" returns with "We didn't understand your search terms. Make sure you're using the proper syntax".
The same response from /searchcenter/Pages/results.aspx?k=RefinableInt00%3E1000.
I do not know whether this is a syntax issue or the way I prepare the numeric property.
Any insight?

Hi,
The problem is with RefinaableInt00, which is just the retrieve and refine as shown in the below screenshot.
You need to make this refinable property to include search as well then only you are able to search in the search results.
Edit the property and select search option and then do the full crawl. The results will appear as per your expectation.
The best practice in my opinion is to create the custom Managed Property with all settings set like Queryable, Search, Refinable etc and map your crawl property.

[Windows] file.url throw error when application executable in root directory

If you launch AIR application packaged as bundle from root directory and try to get url property of any file you get IllegalOperationError.
No matter what file url property you try to get.
It's a big problem when you distribute your application on CD disks or flash drive.

I checked all deployment descriptions and there are no references to t3://localhost:7001. Few months back, I had the complete clustering setup working on 2 machines and now when I deploy my application on same configuration, it fails with t3://localhost:7001 unreachable error. I created a new cluster configuration on one machine with 2 managed server and it deploys fine. Can not figure out what has changed ?

CQWP does not return result for a specific query when filtering on a managed metadata field.

We are facing a serious production issue. We've search the web extensively but to no avail.
Problem:
CQWP does not return result for a specific query when filtering on a managed metadata field.
ULS log:
The Uls logs provides 3 different messages that I could relate to every time the query is executed. The last item(level Medium) is displayed 14 times. For readability I've moved the ULS logs to the bottom of this question.

The query is as follows:

When I modify the filter to filter on Title the CQWP DOES return the correct document!
When I modify the query settings to search a specific library the CWQP also does return the correct document! (In this case I am filtering on a managed metadata field).
QUESTION:
Why doesn't the CQWP return the document when filtering on a managed metadata field over the entire site collection.

I cannot share any of my downloaded photos from my iphone to my computer because the iphoto on my imac lists a former Apple ID with an Internet provider I no longer use (ie I don't have that email). I switched my Apple ID to gmail and that works on my phone and it also shows up correctly when I go to manage my Apple ID. How can I change the iphoto Apple ID in iphoto?

Firefox 3.6.8 crashes when accessing Add-on Manager and Google Toolbar (v 7.1.20100723W) is enabled

Well, as I said, Firefox 3.6.8 crashes when accessing Add-on Manager and Google Toolbar (v 7.1.20100723W) is enabled. This is on a 2010 white unibody macbook. I have a google toolbar, and all of a sudden, it keeps saying that it can't communicate with the toolbar. Now, I can't even uninstall it because whenever I go to the add on manager, it says there's an 'unresponsive script'. Could anyone help me? Thanks.

I fixed it by running in Safe Mode, and uninstalling Personas. Thanks again!

SSRS dataset throws error when another stored procedure is called inside dataset stored procedure

I am using Report Build 3.0, I have a simple report which gets data using dataset which is created from a Stored Procedure. I have another stored procedure which updates the data in the table which is used for the report. I want to get the live data on report everytime
the report is run so that I call that stored procedure (sp_updatedata) inside my report dataset stored procedure and here where my report fails as it throws error while creating dataset.
Here is sample:
sp_updatedata (this only returns "Command(s) completed successfully"
Create Proce sp_getReportData
As
Begin
Exec sp_updatedata -- I call it to update the data before it displays on the report
Select * from customers
End
If I remove this line it works.

According to your description, you create a dataset based on a stored procedure. In this procedure, it calls another procedure. Now it throws error when creating dataset. Right?
In Reporting Services, when creating dataset, all the query or stored procedure will be executed in SSMS. So if the procedure can be executed in SSMS, it supposed to be working in SSRS. However, it has a limitation in SSRS. In a dataset, it can only return
one result set.
In this scenario, I don't think it's the issue of calling other procedure inside of procedure. Because we tested in our local environment, it works fine. I guess the sp_updatedata returns a result set, and the "select * from customers" returns
another result set. This might be the reason cause the error.

Thanks for your reply. I don't keep all of my music in the iTunes' designated music folder. I don't like the way iTunes reorganizes my songs and I keep all my music in my own self organized music folders as I don't use iTunes as my primary media application. Not to mention allot of my files come from all different corners of my computer's hard drive. It would literally take months to go through over 20 gigs of media files to pick out the songs I have in my iPhone library to rebuild an iTunes library. Like i said, I don't even use iTunes other than to transfer files to my iPhone. I thought the purpose of manually managing the files was so you don't have to sync it with the iTunes library but now it won't give my that option without requiring me to delete everything on my phone I worked so hard on.
What I don't understand is logically or technically why iTunes HAS to delete all the content off of my iphone. Who's decision in the Apple's software engineering department was to require the one's iPhone to be erased if someone loses their iTunes library? Its frustrating because it makes no sense and I feel as if the software is punishing me for reasons I don't understand by threatening to delete all my content off my phone. Is there absolutely no way to transfer my music to my iPhone without deleting everything currently on and completely rebuilding my music library from scratch?

Before you sync your iPhone make sure that all the music that was synced to your phonereviously has been copied to your iTunes on the new MacBook Pro. Then when you connect your phone you will be able to either sync all music or select only those playlists that you want on the phone.

Steps to recreate
(i) Create new user account and add to any group ( do not log on using this
account)
(ii) runas /user:<new user account> <fullpath>\excel.exe
it will ask password so enter on command prompt
(iii) open any excel document and click File->Print
(iv) verify result (it is failing) it pop ups below error

I have a default set excel is still throwing error. Interestingly winword , powerpoint and publisher are working fine. I am able to print from all office applications except Excel.
Probably excel behaves differently from other office applications.
Probably it is a bug in excel
Workaround : Log on to a system once using newly created account then runas excel using this account then print works fine.
It means something in user profile should be configure to run excel print operation. Could you please somebody help what I need to configure in user profile that makes print operation success?

The table QRTZ92_TRIGGERS is there in the database.But while trying to run this command (UPDATE QRTZ92_TRIGGERS set NEXT_FIRE_TIME=1 where NEXT_FIRE_TIME < 0)in database i am getting the table or view does not exist.
What is GTC resource?
