Executing Multiple BRs in Planning

Hello,
I am new to Planning. Can anyone help me understand how does Planning/Essbase handle same BR executed for the second time (without first one being finished) through Planning? Is there a way to restrict it?

Essbase is the calculation heart of Planning.
Essbase works quite well (almost always, see the active thread on deadlocking) with multiple simultaneous calcs.
You can run into data issues if multiple people are updating the same data intersection more or less simultaneously. Whoever gets the last crack at the data is the one who wins (how else would this work?).
If you have very many people running complicated calculations at the same time you will see performance drop, but that's to be expected given the load.
Often administrators will put an application into administrator mode/use process management/automate a 3 am HBR/calc script that runs the "admin version" of a business rule to ensure that everything is calculated correctly.
Hopefully the above wasn't too basic.
As to stopping users from running business rules -- you have to restrict their access.
You can do that by:
1) Removing access from the HBR
2) Remove access to the Planning forms that in turn run the HBRs and hope that the user can't figure out that the Tools menu in Planning web will let him run the HBR regardless of access to a form or not.
#1 is likely way better than #2. You can make the removal of access easier by doing everything through groups in Shared Services as opposed to individual assigns.
