Exel to open automaticially after expeorting from Business One
Hi guys
How can make excel to open up after exporting with the data. I have a few PC's which do it and a few which save it but won't opoen the file up automaticially. Where would the setting be??

This is usually related to user right to the file for Autoopen.Xls. You could allocate the file under ..Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One\ExclDocs if it is local. If it is under shared folder, the user has to got full right to the folder.

Unable to open 2007B database in SAP Business One version 8.8
Hi Experts,
We are in the process of upgrading one of our client from SAP Business one 2007B PL13 to SAP Business One 8.8. While trying to open the client's live database in 8.8, system throws a message "You cannot upgrade company databases from SAP Business One client. Use the Upgrade CD or contact your IT administrator for the upgrade". Plz guide me on how can I open the DBs used in 2007B in 8.8??

I thiink your database is not updated ..Install client in your server and try with opening up ..
It will probably ask you to back up the database and upgrade ...
If not ,uninstall everything thing ..instead of having new installation ,download the upgrade version and see if resolves your issue

Error Opening sesx After Saving From xml

I'm not sure if this is a common error or not but here goes...
I just got Audition CS6. I have recently been working on some demos in Audition 3. I saved the most recent sessions as .xml with Audition 3 and am able to open those with CS6 (though the plugin settings don't transfer). After doing this, I have been saving the NEW sessions in CS6 as .sesx files. They save fine but when I go back to reopen one of those new .sesx files in CS6 I get the error message:
Error: The file is either corrupt or using an unsupported format
I'm at a total loss and searching that error message on the forum didn't seem to turn up any info. Has anyone run into this?

-mYes this is another one of those situations where the Presonus driver adds some 'crap' in reply to an 'enquiry' from Audition.
You can fix it yourself (at least temporarily) so that you can at least re-open the files
Open the sesx file in a text editor like notepad (make a copy first in case you screw up)
Look for these lines toward the bottom of the file

Keyboard Viewer window opens up after waking from sleep and screensaver
I have the MacBook keyboard freezing problem since upgrading to Leopard. One time (at band camp), I opened the Keyboard viewer so I could enter some text prior to rebooting. Now, the keyboard viewer pops up after every wake from sleep, return from screensaver (both password protected), and sporadically when switching/quitting applications.
I have tried rechecking and unchecking the "keyboard viewer" and "show input menu in menu bar" in System Preferences->International->Input Menu. While not a serious problem, it is rather annoying. How do I get the keyboard viewer to stop opening?
On a related note, there must be a script or program that is run every time the computer wakes from sleep and password protected screensaver that prompts for a password. Anyone know where this is located?
PeterOk, I just tried that. I deleted com.apple.KeyboardViewerServer.plist. I then started my screensaver. When I came back in...the Keyboard Viewer was back and there was a new plist file that was created...so, something else must be controlling it.

Trouble opening project after upgrading from RH7 to RH8
We recently loaded a RH7 project into Source Control 3.1. All things seemed to be working well. Until last week I was the sole user of the program and editor on the project. Last week the IT department attempted to add a new user to the project, installing RH8. The new user profile attempted to open the project in RH8 but we have not been able to completely open the project. This was done before upgrading my PC from RH7 to RH8.
We were unable to open the project (and converting) in the new profile, however when viewing the project in Source Control, it showed all the files were checked out exclusively to the new profile. We were able to utilize the 'check in' function in SC as Admin users and checked in all the files.
My PC was then upgraded to RH8 and I am attempting to open the project. I received the Upgrade project dialog box. (I select 'Upgrade). I then recieve a warning 'Your project file, C:\....cpd, is corrupt and cannot be opened. Try deleting this file and reopening the project."
I did this and tried to open the project. I got as far as the status bar showing the files/project was being loaded. After several minutes the screen goes all white and the Task Manager shows that it is not responding.
Any suggestions for this novice?

Unable to open pdfs after downgrade from PS CC 2014
Greetings.
Our office has several seats of Creative Cloud, and our workstations are all Macs.
When InDesign and Photoshop upgrades to version 2014 were released, I installed them on our computers; only to discover that the upgrade is not compatible with OS X 10.6, so I had to downgrade - InDesign docs created in 2014 are not readable by InDesign CC.
Anyway, since then, I have one user who has followed the same procedure for some time, to create a pdf, which is as follows:
- Open an AutoCAD dwg file in AutoCAD (in Windows), and save as a PDF 'Drawing 1.pdf'
- Open PDF 'Drawing1.pdf' in Photoshop CC (in OS X 10.8.5)
- Add Layers, and add information (colouring in)
- Save PDF as a new PDF 'Drawing 2.pdf', saving the created Layers.
- Open PDF in Adobe Reader to print the PDF.
This used to work fine, however now the PDFs that have been modified will not open - claiming they are corrupt either with the error message: 'This is not a valid Portable Document File (PDF) document. It cannot be opened.' or 'Adobe Reader could not open 'Drawing2.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).'
Of course this means that all the work done has been lost, as the file was closed after saving.
I am not sure if the downgrade is the cause, but this is the only thing that has changed since the issue appeared.
The user has an iMac running 10.8.5.
Any help with this would be appreciated!

Cannot open iPhoto after creating 2 libraries, one in iCloud drive
I am running into errors and cannot open iPhoto anymore. The first message is "The iPhoto Library is locked, on a locked disk, or you do not have permission to make changes to it. iPhoto can try to repair the permissions." I choose repair, and then this second message occurs, "The iPhoto Library is locked, on a locked disk, or you do not have permission to make changes to it."
This began after I exported the library on my Mac Book Pro to iCloud Drive, and currently have 2 libraries that I cannot access. I attempted to repair disk from Disk Utilities, but it has not fixed the issue. What can I do next?Try the following on the one on your hard drive:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down to open the First Aid window. Be sure to follow the circled recommendation in the screenshot.

XML Encoding from Business One - Unable to Read in a 3rd Party APP

I have created an Add-On app that produces an XML document file when a new item is created or an existing item is updated. However, the 3rd party app that I am trying to integrate into is unable to read this XML. After doing some research, the following appears to be the issue.
SBO produces the data with UTF-16 which is a double byte encoding for XML's. The 3rd party app that I have appears to be able to handle only single byte encoding formats such as UTF-8 or ISO-8859-1.
I would like to know if there is a way in SDK to convert the output XML format to a single byte encoding such as ISO-8859-1. Can anyone please tell me how to achieve that in my Add-On code?

You can use a XLST transformation to convert from UTF-16 to UTF-8.
The coding goes something like this:

The above example shows a XLST transform for the sales order document type. This example is for use with the xet_ValidNodesOnly setting for the XmlExportType company property. If you are using a different XmlExportType setting then the XLST will be slightly different but the principal is the same. For simplicity, I have shown only a cut-down list of the fields from the sales order but other fields and tables can be included (assuming that they are in the original XML from SBO).

I've never seen an error discribing "maxed out". Please type in the exact error message you are seeing so I can maybe assist you further.

if i could show you a screen shot.... that would have cleared the situation. ads show up in left bottom corner with open/hide button in a frame. and the same ads show up in every html plugin on the webpage especially in facebook social plugins. however on google, mozilla, facebook, twitter there comes no ad like this. Its very annoying. I recently uninstalled firefox for the same reason but nightly is having the same problem. and let me tell you there is no such thing in other browsers like chrome and i.explorer. I like firefox i dont want to change it but i will have to if the problem persisted. :( please help.
hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here...

Hi there, I use a program which calls another one, but when I close the first one, the second one is not closed automatically even if not anymore needed, so I have to do it manually.
I tried a classic:

pkill secondprogram
but, of course, this script closes immediately the secondprogram.
So, what I supposed to do?

Open a second BPF from a the current BPF
Hi,
is there a way to open a second BPF from the one I am currently working in? My idea is to create a first BPF (e.g. called "Overview") that lists task groups such as Consolidation, HR Planning, Revenue Planning etc, where each task then links to another BPF that will open, e.g. clicking on Consolidation would open a BPF called "Consol" or clicking on HR Planning would open a BPF called "HR".
I do not want to use just one BPF where each of the above groups is a heading because then I would have to mark each as complete before I can move to the next which doesn't work since the is no real natural order to them.Hi Arnold,
We dont have the feasibility to open another BPF from one.
I can give you one work around for this. Create Custom Menus. You cant maintain different custom menus as tabs in the single excel sheet. And you can navigate between them using the Action - "CHANGEMENU".

Letter of Credit management in SAP Business one

One of our customer wants to manage the "Letter of Credit" used in exporting their product to different countries. They need to record it, discount it from bank, record bank charges and close it when their customer repays the amount. Also need to reconcile it through bank reconciliation. Is there any solution available (as an add-on or work around)?

We are using India localization and the Bill of exchange is not available in that. But after reviewing the functionality, we found that it is a very good workaround solution for our customer. Now my question is whether this facility will be added for India localization in the next version of SAP Business One?
In addition to that we are discussing with another prospect who is actually doing cross-border trade. He is satisfied with all other aspects of Business one. Only problem is that he wants to generate all documentations related to his trade to be generated from Business one. Is this possible or any add-on available?
