Exit from Authorware

A customer has discovered that pressing Ctrl+Q closes our Authorware application. We use Microsoft style  keypress combinations incorporating the Control key to type accented characters and Ctrl+Q was typed by him in error.
Is it possible to prevent Ctrl+Q from exiting Authorware

Hi Tom,
You got my interest in fixing the “Alt F4” problem so I went to:-
http://www.mods.com.au/download/default.htm
and downloaded “Buddy Keys”, it’s only 80k and it’s Free ! ! !
(I think I will use this myself because it's better than my current method).
The following method should disable the [Alt]+[F4] and the Windows “X”.  Two in one go!
1.  Un zip and place the “Budkey.u32” in your “C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Authorware 7.0\xtras” folder.
2.  In AW load the “DisableQuit” AND “RestoreQuit” functions from the “Budkey.u32” file.
3.  Add a calc Icon on your flow line and add the code:
NoQuit := DisableQuit(WindowHandle) --This Disables [Alt]+[F4] and the Windows “X” for your window only (All other windows should work properly.
3.  In a Calc Icon at the start, hang a "Perpetual Calc" off an Interaction Icon.
The name of this Calc Icon to be:
BudKeyQuitMsg = TRUE .  When TRUE the user has pressed [Alt]+[F4] or Clicked the Windows "X" button so . . . .
4.  Inside place an Interaction Icon “Are you Sure you want to quit?” .
5.  Hanging off that place your Yes and No buttons.  As before No returns to AW.  The Yes button must contain a Calc Icon with the code:
RestoreQuit() --Restores the [Alt]+[F4] and the Windows “X”
Quit() --Quits the piece
NOTE while you are creating the piece, after checking it works, you might want to Rem out the “DisableQuit” code before you run your piece, otherwise if activated in your piece you will not be able close any of the AW windows J.
Publish the "Budkey.u32” with your piece.

    iPhoto is missing bits of itself. You need to reinstall it.
    To re-install iPhoto
    1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
    2a: On 10.5:  Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
    2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows:  In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
    /var/db/receipts/
    2c: on 10.7 they're at
    /private/var/db/receipts
    A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
    3. Re-install.
    If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
    If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
    If you purchased it on the App Store you can find it in your Purchases List.

    Hai,
    In my portal Top Level Navigtion, I have two Option, "HOME", "HR FUNCTION".
    When a user login to portal by default the first node "Home" is opened and its content is opened in detailed navigation. Then the first content from detailed navigation which is  URL iview is opened on the content area.
    When a user opens the second node "HR Function", in the detailed navigation, SAP transcaction IViews are shown. When a SAP transaction IView is clicked, its content are opened in content area. After the user finished working with that transaction, he/she is exiting from the transaction by clicking the "Exit" button. This action, makes the content area to show as blank screen.
    Is it possible to show the URL ivew from the "Home" menu when ever the control is coming out of SAP transaction IView.  In otherwords in need to fill the blank screen with  URL Iview. I don't know from where and how to call this URL IVIEW.

  • How to exit from SQL PlUS

    HI,I came to know that direct exit from SQL Plus without Oracle shutdown causes future issues of ORA-0600 kind of errors. Is it true? If yes could u pls suggest me how to shutdown from user "SYSTEM/manager". Bcoz with this am warned that I dont have previleges.

    Hello,
    HI,I came to know that direct exit from SQL Plus without Oracle shutdown causes future issues of ORA-0600 kind of errors. Is it true?The ORA-00600 is an internal error it can be caused for instance by a Bug, a corruption, ... , and if someday you experience this kind of error, you should open a Service Request to My Oracle Support.
    However, I've never heard that exiting sqlplus could cause this kind of error. Where did you get such information ?
    how to shutdown from user "SYSTEM/manager". To shutdown the database you should be connected with the User SYS (as SYSDBA). You may use the following statement:
    sqlplus /nolog
    connect / as sysdba
    shutdown immediate;
    exitHope this help.

  • How to exit from SQL*Plus based on the return value of a SQL select stment?

    Hi
    I have a SQL script executed from SQL*Plus. I would like to know if SQL*Plus
    supports any kind of branching or exiting from script execution based on a
    returned value of a SQL select statement. I am on 9i.
    Regards,
    Tamas Szecsy

    in sqlplus, you have whenever
    ex:
    whenever sqlerror exit failure
    insert into ...
    -- if this fails, then you will be out
    insert into ...
    -- if this fails, then you will be out
    whenever sqlerror continue
    insert into ...
    -- if this fails, this continues
    insert into ...and you have PL/SQL
    declare x number;
    begin
    select count(*) into x from emp;
    if (x=14) then null; end if;
    end;
    /note that you can mix those in some case
    -- exit if there is no row in emp
    whenever sqlerror exit 1
    var dummy number
    exec select count(*) into :dummy from emp having count(*)!=0

    Most of the people on these forums, including myself, are fellow users - you are not talking to iTunes Support here. I've asked the hosts to remove your email address from your post.
    You shoudl be able to individually deauthorise your computers directly on them via the Store > Deauthorise This Computer menu option, or as you have multiple computers authorised then you can log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option and 'deauthorise all' (which you can do once every 12 months) and you can then authorise/reauthorise the computers that you still have and need : authorising and deauthorising.
    If you've already deauthorised all within the past 12 months then you can try contacting iTunes Support and ask if they can do it for you : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

  • Exiting from a function module.

    Hi,
    I have a function module in which i am extracting output message from NAST based on vbeln.
    I record is not found, then i am updating return table with error message using 'MESSAGE_TEXT_BUILD'.
    Now i have to exit from the function module as my select statement is unsuccessful.
    how do you do this?
    can i use subroutines in a function module?
    thanks,
    Sandeep

    Hi Sandeep,
    You can use EXIT statement to exit out of the FM.
    Yes, you can use sub-routines in Function Module. If you are using EXIT inside a sub-routine, the program control will come out of sub-routine and not the FM> So if it is inside a sub-routine, return sy-subrc value as a parameter of the sub-routine. Outside the sub-routine, check the value and use EXIT statement accordingly.
    Best Regards,
    Ram.

  • Exit from a pl/sql block

    Hi all. I'm on oracle 9i.
    I have a problem: I launch my sql file, which has a part made of some SQL commands and then inside it there is a part that is a PL/SQL block.
    What I want is that if a certain if condition is verified it must exit from PL/SQL block and also it must exit from all the file!
    Here is a part of code:
    drop table test1;
    create table test1
    as select * from test2;
    create table prova_test1
    as select * from test_1
    where 1=2;
    DECLARE
    conta number := 0;
    valore number := 0;
    contap number := 0;
    valorep number := 0;
    istruzione varchar2(2000) := null;
    BEGIN
    select count(1), sum(val) into contap,valorep
    from prova_test1;
    select count(1), sum(val) into conta,valore
    from test_1;
    if conta <> contap or valore <> valorep then
    istruzione := 'exit';
    execute immediate istruzione;
    else
    others sql statements.....
    end if;
    end;
    So what I want is that if the condition is verified it must exit from pl/sql block and also from all the process.
    How can I achieve that??
    Thanks for collaboration,
    Fabrizio

    whenever sqlerror exit 99

    Number 99 or 98, are SQLCODE returned from my exception?No, they are NOT SQLCODE.
    SQLCODE is an oracle database error code.
    Now,
    sqlerror is how 'Sql*Plus' (the one that is calling the pl/sql block) would handle ANY SQL ERROR coming out of pl/sql block OR other parts of the sql you are running within the SQL*Plus construct.
    99 and 98 are the error numbers that SQL*Plus is returning to the script or code that is calling SQL*Plus. In this case, probably the 'shell script' that calls this SQL*Plus construct.
    So, you would handle that error in the shell script.
    Maybe something like this: (this is the shell script that is calling a sqlplus session).
    1>>$LOGFILE 2>>$LOGFILE sqlplus -s $DBCONN <<EOF
    whenever sqlerror exit 99
    whenever oserror exit 98
    set serveroutput on
    set feedback off
    BEGIN
    some_code;
    END;
    exit
    EOF
    ret_value=$(echo $?)
    case "$ret_value" in
        99) mail -s "Error: Some sqlerror on the script on $(date)" $SOME_EMAIL <$LOGFILE ;;
        98) mail -s "Error: Some oserror on the script on $(date)" $SOME_EMAIL <$LOGFILE ;;

  • How to exit from an update Function Module

    Hi Friends,
    I am using an Update Function Module in my program.The Program also has various other logics implemented in it. The Update Function Module gets triggered only when it finds COMMIT WORK statement. Now, I want that when the FM gets triggered and inside it, sy-subrc <> 0 at any stage, it should exit the complete processing and come to my main screen.
    I tried to use Exit, STOP commands in the FM, but they only make the processing to exit from the FM.
    Please suggest what shud I do.
    Helpful suggestions will be surely rewarded.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Himanshu

    hi hemansu,
    after coming out from function module check value of sy-subrc
    and
    if sy-subrc ne 0
      exit.  or leave to screen 0 [module pool progarm] or stop.
    endif.
    if helpful reward some points.

  • On exiting from a website, Firefox (5.0) reverts to the first page

    Whenever I exit from a website, it does not matter which page of the query I start from, Firefox returns to the first page of the query.

    Perhaps your install of Firefox is hanging on exit, triggering the session restore.
    You can disable session restore by changing a hidden preference.
    Type about:config into the location bar and press enter
    Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences
    In the filter box type resume to bring up a small number of preferences
    Double-click on the preference browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash to change its value to false
