Expanding beyond 256 character in WorkItem History

How do I increase the number of characters displayed in these form fields? I can not find where this is defined either.

We have been unable to find where the limitation is set for the fields within the workitem history. It is not within the ASP, INC, or XML files that build the page. Since it appears to be cutting off the characters at 256, this is most likely found within a SQL string.

There's no solution to this available in-box with Windows.
It requires a custom password filter DLL to perform the password inspection against your custom criteria, and MSFT don't offer alternative password filter DLLs, so you'll either need to create it yourself (and I'm told that it's not a trivial exercise), or
buy a 3rd party solution.

The Comments window for review activities is by default set to a 256 character limit. We need to change its size so reviewers can fully comment on their approval/rejection of a CR. As a workaround for now, we have them providing larger comments
in the Notes section of the CR. What would be the best approach to customize Comments to meet this need?

Here's what I meant, not sure if this will satify your requirements, but I suggest it anyways.
Using the authoring tool, I extended the class and added Larger_Comment_Property. Then I added a text box below the Reviewers section bound to the Larger_Comment_Property that would take as much as 4000 characters. It is not per reviewer but is generally
available to all.

How do I fix desktop expanded beyond screen boundaries?

Since I upgraded to Mountain Lion, the desktop on my iMac has expanded beyond the boundary of the screen, so that I can't see the entire desktop at once. About two inches in each dimension is always off one side and the bottom or top.
I have the 20-inch (1680 x 1050) display. What can I do?

Expand IP addresses beyond 256 Linksys RV016

Hello,
Currently We have an RV016 setup and and under Setup>Network we have the following settings:
Host Name: pagegateway
Domain Name: mycompany.com
Device IP address: 10.20.181.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 this is default (here I have a drop down with the following options: 255.255.255.128, 255.255.255.192, 255.255.255.224, 255.255.255.240, 255.255.255.240, 255.255.255.248, 255.255.255.252)
DHCP Server is not enabled on the RV016. We currently have a Windows 2003 Server that is acting as Exchange Server, Active Diretory, and DHCP Server. My issue is that we are running out of IP addresses and I have about 20 or so left to assign. Given the above setting can I make changes to my RV016 to give me more than 256 addresses? If yes what do I need to do and do I need to make any changes on Windows Server?

Hello John,
I have looked this issue over and tried something out myself. Have you tried making multiple subnets on the router. What it would be doing is handing out DHCP addresses from two diffrent subnets.
The other way is going into the setup menu of the router. Click on ADD/EDIT subnet.(I have attached a screenshot.) This will allow you to specify a LAN IP Address and a Subnet Mask of your liking.

Livecycle es4: a textfield does not expand beyond the second page

I am using livecycle designer es4 (trial, before i was using livecycle es 8.1, wich came with adobe pro 9)
I have figured out how to expand a textfield, however if people who use it want to type alot of text beyond the page the whole textfield is placed on the other page.
Sometimes it even creates 2 empty pages before the textfield.
It would be nice if it dynamically continued on the next page without skipping a whole page or 2 pages at once.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

There is an "allow page break within content" checkbox on the Field tab of the Object palette, sounds like this needs to be set and the similar checkbox on all the parent subforms.

First page prints fine but subsequent pages expand beyond page border

When I print a web page or selection that extends beyond one page, the first page prints fine, but the type size on subsequent pages is expanded so that the content extends beyond the right edge of the page. This never happened before I upgraded to Firefox 8, but now happens every time. My workaround is to print one page at a time -- very cumbersome.
I'm printing to an HP Officejet Pro 8500. I have not changed printer settings since upgrading Firefox.

Same problem here, but it doesn't seem to depend on the printer. Same thing happens when creating pdf files. It has started witha recent upgrade, not sure however whether this hasn't happened already with version 7. Currently I am using Firefox 8.0.1 on Mac OS X 10.6.8.

IOS 6.1.3 iPhone 5 - screen resolution expands beyond screen limit?

Since upgrading to iOS 6.1.3 my iPhone 5 occasionally expands its screen beyond the actual screen limits of the device. This means part of the PIN login pad is missing including the Cancel button and lower number buttons, so the only way to get back into my locked phone is to turn it off to reset it! My wife has the same model, updated her phone last week, and has experienced the same issue.
On opening an App, it starts at the correct size then expands slightly on the RHS and base of the image, pushing the extremitiees past the screen boundary. A screen capture shows me that from a 'capture' perspective, the image isn't clipped!

I am unable to view my bookmarks and the 'Bookmarks' drop down menu will not expand beyond the bookmark folder to display my bookmarks.

When I try to add a new bookmark, I cannot find any of my bookmark folders. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox and still have the same problem.

GUI Bean expands beyond bean area

My GUI bean won't stay within the bean area on the form - I would have thought that the bean area container would have constrained the bean ?
Forms 9i & JDeveloper 903 running on the local OC4J server.
Any ideas what I could be doing wrong ?

If you are using the FBean package then the Bean should be controlled - FBean should handle the moving - resizing and clipping of the bean.
Of course this all depends on how the bean is written.
We move and size the panel on which the bean is placed. Additionally we call setBounds() on the bean telling it how to position itself and how large to be. It may be that your bean is ignoring that

Captivate 5 - Variable character display limitation?

When displaying any Variable result, I am encountering a 15 character display limitation. Is this a system limitation? If so, does a method to expand beyond 15 characters exist? If not a system forced limitation - how do you expand the number of characters that are displayed when using Variable returns?
I am using a User Variable named EMAIL - the entry can be somewhat lengthy. The return is consistently cut off at 15 characters.
Any thoughts are appreciated!

Now I'm puzzled? What do you mean by 'Text Box'? To display a variable, that has acquired a value either by default (when defining the variable), or by using a Text Entry Box (associated with that variable) or by advanced actions, you need to create a Text Caption and insert the variable in that Text Caption.
Could you please explain 'I forgot I had to use a Text Box to display a variable(and be able to manipulate it), not a Text Caption.' ?

How do I Expand the Text Box in Mail Stationery?

I have a question about using stationery in Mail. Is there anything I can do to make the text box in certain templates to hold more content? It seems that, in some templates (like Bamboo, for example), the text box expands automatically as more content is keyed in. Yet, in the Tack Board template, for example, the text box does not expand beyond what seems to be a fixed length for content. How can I get the text box in Tack Board to expand for additional content?

Please check text input state defined , also if the form is inserted in any container then try to test out the form with different text input boxes in a new page.
Additionally , check the mid-hieght of text inserted in frame.

User decision history report, workflow summary log

Hello SAP Workflow community,
In our project there is a task to implement User Decision history/log management. I want to get programmatically (via ABAP, in order to be able to store this data in DB too) the history all user decisions (statuses of all User Decision work items) inside of specific workflow and send the summary report to the workflow initiator/workflow administrator upon the workflow completion.
After some search I found the complete set of relevant function modules under SAP_WAPI_WORKITEM_*, where you can get detailed information per work item, including their statuses, but I'm not sure, that this is the best practice to implement such task.
Of course, we can go «brute force» and built such log manually: to log each user decision and store it in multiline container and after that find some way to send it to the desired person. But I'm pretty sure, that there must be another way, should be some standard, SAP-provided way to build such summary report. Could you, please, point me to the relevant directions.
The Bottom line is at the end of each workflow execution I want to send to workflow initiator the report with list of all User Decisions, their statuses (approved/declined) and username, who took the decision.

GOS->workflow->workflow overview should show the workflow log showing the status of the workflow until now (workitem name/start data & time/end date &time/decision/status/user name).

You could use the way suggested by Karri, since the decision is hard to read directly. But for workflow reports,I usually use BW see Workflow reporting in BW – extractor improvements

Jtree expand all not working

I have a very large jtree, that at it second level gets loaded from a JDOm file.
The problem is I am having a problem expanding all the nodes under a
particular node. I need an expandAll method. Nothing I have tried has
expanded beyond the child level.
After a few permutations my code right now is

Am i missing something about expandPath?
I even use the code from JTree example to the reload the model.
But it still only shows the nodes children, not the children's children....etc.
