Expired AD User Object certificate

We have an expired certificate under Active Directory User Object > Certificates.
Can someone please tell me to renew or re-create this certificate?

We cannot renew expired certificate, you can request a new certificate instead.

Auto enrollment issue - in AD user object certificate is missing

In our environment , we are publishing User certificate and SMIME certificate through auto enrollment, both are been pushed through same Group policy. We identified that few of the user (around 200+ users) AD object is not having SMIME certificate
but user certificate is available . In the Issuing CA and users local store we can able to find the certificate . We revoked 2 or 3 user certificate and when the user next logging in , the certificate has been successfully generated, we dont know what is causing
the issue. Please help on this.
We have checked the group policy its applying properly.
We have checked few of the user machine and found that the error Eventid # 6 has been generated every 8 hours once. (Automatic server enrollment failed. the specified server can not perform the requested operation)

Thanks for your inputs. We found solution on this. we assume issue with attribute modification conflicts
We are having two different issuing CA in our environment and both are in same site, in the site is having 4 domain controller.
- We ran the network monitor in both the Issuing CA's and found the communication between Issuing CA and domain controllers for each user certificate (success and failure also)
- we can able to see there is difference between both the certificate generation is less than 8 seconds
- The first (SMIME) certificate has been published in the AD object through Domain controller A and second certificate is reaching Domain controller B for publish the second (USER) certificate in few seconds.
- When replication is happening between Domain controller A and Domain controller B, the highest version value is winning
- We ran the command repadmin /showobjmeta "users distinguish name" for success user and failure user
- found success users certificate version is 2 and failure user certificate version is 1.
Solution: We are planning to make single Issuing CA for both certificate enrollment.
Not sure what are the impacts on this

Unable to delete User object in FIM Portal - Cannot find the object "#calculateRequestSetTransitionsAssembleStatementsPartition"

I encounter a problem with FIM (version 4.1.3441.0 and 4.1.3496.0) when I try to delete a User object (and only a User object) whatever if it is
manually/Expiration Workflow/Powershell.
Deleting a User object used to be perfectly functional and, without any product version modification, stopped working. I haven't neither deleted/modified or add a
"Grant" MPR or any of the corresponding Sets since last time I saw it working.
Displayed error is "Request could not be dispatched" in FIM Portal and is referencing a stored procedure in Event Viewer.

When I try to delete a User object, here is the output :

Request status is stuck at "Validating" until next restart of FIM Service (after what it becomes “Canceled”)
Request’s “Applied Policy” tab does not contain any MPR where, at least, a “Grant” MPR is expected
As SQL Timeout is relatively high and error happens quickly, I don’t think there is a Timeout problem under that.

For information, a maintenance plan rebuild/reorganize indexes daily and this problem has occurred on servers with different performances.

While there are several SQL Agent jobs (FIM Temporal Events, Maintain Sets, and Maintain Groups among others)created by the FIM install only one of those is enabled and scheduled and it calls all of the same stored procedures that the other
jobs do. Step 2 is Maintain sets and Step 3 is maintain groups. So the Maintain sets and groups jobs never need to get enabled and scheduled, but if you want them to be maintained more frequently then you can.

How can I check the expiration date of a Certificate Keychain from terminal?

Hello, I am writing a bash script to alert me when my corporate certificates are about to expire. How can I check the expiration date of a certificate in keychain? I'm running Mac OS 10.6.8 on a newer MacBook pro with full admin rights.
Specifically I will be checking three certs: a Root Authority, Issuing Authority, and a user cert (Identity).
I was exploring the Security and Openssl command line tools. But I can't seem to get the info I need.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.

SQL Connection Failed for SCCM 2012 R2 (Unable to load user-specified certificate)

We've recently completed an upgrade from SCCM 2012 SP1 to 2012 R2 and have been running in the new environment for about a week. As of this morning, The consoles failed to connect to the CAS' and one of the Primary Site's database. The issue was resolved
easily enough by addressing a certificate issue in SQL, but I'm left wondering if there's a correlation between the SP1-to-R2 upgrade that would cause the cert to fail. Anyone have experience with this?

We got the same certificate related error events after a fresh install of SCCM 2012 R2 on a new server. It happened during the first reboot after SCCM was installed. In the Certificates mmc, I right-clicked on the certificate used by SQL and chose Manage
Private Keys. Giving the service account that runs the MSSQLSERVER service read rights to the private key allowed SQL to start. However, after a day or so we rebooted the server again, and SQL wouldn't start. Something had removed the service account's read
permission. Since the SCCM configuration wasn't that far along, we uninstalled SCCM. After giving the service account read rights again, and rebooting several times over a few days, and SQL started every time. We then installed SCCM 2012 R2 again, and checked
the certificate's permissions before rebooting. The service account still had read permissions when the install completed, but as soon as the server was rebooted, it lost the permissions again.
The Certificates mmc was then used to request a second computer certificate and then SQL was configured to use that new certificate via SQL Server Configuration Manager. After several days and a number of reboots the SQL services have started normally every
time so the second certificate seems to have fixed the issue. I have kept the original certificate for fear that removing it will cause whatever part of SCCM 2012 R2 that modifies the original certificate to start removing permissions from the new certificate
as well.

Is Active Directory's ExtensionAttributes9 a field in user object and how to retrieve it in the class type userprincipal?

Hi, I'm using VS2012.
I want to use this ExtensionAttributes9 field to store date value for each user object. I use UserPrincipal class, a collection of these objects are then bind to a gridview control. Is ExtensionAttributes9 a field in AD user object?
How can I access it and bind to the gridview?
If this field isn't available then what other field can use?

UserPrincipal is basically a wrapper around DirectoryEntry:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.directoryservices.directoryentry.aspx and only provides a subset of the Active Directory, although the most common, attributes that are available for the user object. The attribute that you
seek is not one of them.
By utilizing the method that I provided you a link to, it will return the underlying DirectoryEntry that was used to build the UserPrincipal object and should allow you to access the attribute that you seek.

SQL Developer and Blocking View of Other Users' Objects

I am using SQL Developer in a classroom environment. My student users can “see” Other Users objects. They cannot modify, but none the less can see the structure and data.
I only want the users to be able to see their own objects. Is there a privilege that needs to be revoked? (In using SQL Plus command line, this was not a problem.)

From sysdba account (sys/system). Run following and verify for that particular user grant is revoked. May be exit from sql developer and log back in or refresh view.
YOu can also potenially revoke all the privs from all non admin uses i.e.r even connect/resource roles and grant them back.
revoke select any table from yourschemaname;
revoke connect from schemaname;
revoke create session from schemaname;
revoke resource from schemaname;
Then just grant privs as need basis
grant connect to schemanme;
grant resource to schemaname;
grant create session to schemaname;

How do I get the value of a resource property stored in the user object?

I need a way to get to the myflag property on the resources in an object
I have been trying to get to it by first getting the user object...
but how can I get to the properties them self?
If the following is the user object and I need to refer to the different myflag properties in a form?
What I want to do is to make the system NOT change password on accounts where the myflag is set to true
Anyone that could point me right here?

I was missing the default namespace of "http://sapportals.com/xmlns/cm" - I thought I could just pass an empty string for the namespace, but it looks like I must always specifiy, even if it is default.

Any clues on how to create a resource object to push a user object into res

I am working on a situation where I have to push a user object via a resource object and not having assigned to the user (in other words not linked to the user).
any ideas?
My approach is some thing like this
IN the "user" object I do set all the attributes required per the resource definition

I by no means want to sound belittling... so don't take me that way..
You need to understand the basics of files, and networks. You can't check if a file exists on another machine if you don't have a network protocol to communicate with. The reason \\ works under windows is because you are using an invisible (to you) network protocol. You probably know it as windows sharing. If your file were not shared under it's own name, that method wouldn't work (I'm assuming your entire drive is shared without a password... a horrible security flaw...but one thing at a time)
You can use FTP protocol to check if a file exists. You can either send the raw text FTP commands through a socket connection in java, or you can use a freely available FTP java API to make it a bit more simple. You could also write a small java server on the other machine, and have it tell you what you need to know with a socket connection. In this way, you have created your very own network protocol.

After making changes to table definitions, views, program units, and so on, it may be useful to propagate these changes to another database user. This maybe another development environment, or a testing environment in same or another database. Like "Compare user objects" option in PLSQL/Developer.

The Show Differences button will show a visual line-by-line difference of the old and new source file of an object. This can be useful to view the changes made in Program Units, or can help you determine why a specific DDL statement was generated for other object types. The Configure External Difference Tool allows you to configure the difference tool should be used. By default the ExamDiff utility will be used, for which a Pro version is available (See the About item of ExamDiffs Info menu). See also Tools - Differences.
You can now press the Apply SQL button to execute this SQL in the target session. You can alternatively save the SQL in a file by pressing the Save SQL button, or you can copy it to the clipboard by pressing the Copy SQL button.
When objects are compared, the following properties are ignored:
·     Storage Properties such as the next extent and pct free of tables and indexes are not considered relevant for comparison.
·     Constraints with system generated names These constraints will have different names for the 2 users, so they cannot be compared. If a table is new in the target session, these constraints will be generated though.
·     Table creation properties Properties that would require the recreation of the table are ignored.
·     Table data To export table data, use the Export Table function (see Export Tables).
·     Sequence values The current value of a sequence is considered data.

4.Then used STM coll for the conversion.
5.Bought sap in Up condition.

How to get the user objects?

Dear all,
How to get all the user objects?
i am using Select * From user_objects
but it gives me some tables which belongs to oracle such as 'BIN$ZKjpvXfMSOShDJUjxzmiiw==$0' and i do not want these tables to be viewed.
is there any way to avoid those tables from the query?

Objects in the database started with "BIN$" could be the dropped objects. If you don't bother about dropped objects, then you can purge them.

Custom attributes added to user objects not visible in OWA address book

Hi,
I am using Exchange 2013 and recently added a new custom attribute in the user object properties using the details template editor to be visible in the GAL The new attribute is correctly getting displayed in the GAL from outlook clients but not visible
in OWA address book. Is there a way to update the display of user objects in OWA address book to include the new custom attribute?

It says, Use the Details Templates Editor to customize the client-side graphical user interface (GUI) presentation of object properties that are accessed by using address lists in Microsoft Outlook.
My understanding is this setting only visible in Outlook.
Please correct me if there is any misunderstanding.

Deleting mailbox without removing user object? Exchange 2010

In Exchange 2010, How can I delete a mailbox but keep the User Object since this user still access the network??

Caution: Horror story ahead:
Yeah, well, the earlier bits of Exchange 2010 don't let you remove Exchange without first removing the mailbox from the mailbox database... this is according to MSFT documentation. So I highlighted all the users at a customer's 130 user site and clicked
remove. S.O.A.B.!!!! Only to find out one of the other senior techs did the same thing at a 10 user site but didn't tell anybody.
The worst thing here is that there were no backups of AD. We were able to restore the deleted user accounts via the aduser tool from sysinternals, but it only got the sam name and the SID, no group memberships, no passwords, not even first name, lastname
or UPN. Since AD comes with the recycle bin disabled (dumb because you don't know you have to enable it until you need it.) and the new Windows Server Backup doesn't let you take system state backups without lots of hassle dedicating drives and backup
locations, we found ourselves royally um... humped. Still dealing with the after math after restoring the objects for over 6 hours.
