Hope this is the correct forum
We have been getting a notification from Global It about Expiring Authorization
There are three productive systems about to expire
BCP (001)       ZBOJ_CRM_UIU_SRV_PROF          Business Objects Message Processing
BCP (001)       ZBYD_CRM_UIU_SRV_PROF          ByDesign Message Processing
BCP (001)       ZSBO_CRM_UIU_SRV_PROF          Business One (B1) Message Processing
the email has links to get details or extend the authorization
there is also a link for information CUP - Support
NONE of the links work, no one at the office knows what these are.  We are SAP BO partner and  no one know what this is all about
Does anyone know about this?  What is this and where can I get the information to extend (or not) the authorizations?

credit card authorization holds are determined by the issuing bank.   they can last up to 30 days depending on your bank's policy.   if you wish to expedite the release of this hold, you might try contacting your bank to have the transaction released.
merchants (in this case, lenovo) cannot control how a bank handles authorization holds, especially if your order was not processed.   lenovo would only be able to cancel the order, and, since you tried to use a foreign non-amex card, the order was automatically rejected by the system.
in short, you'll need to contact your bank or wait another week if it's been three weeks already.

    What happens once a transaction authorization expires? Can the vendor resubmit a claim for funds? My case is this: Vendor is being relatively unresponsive,(no response via email, stretching the truth when contacted by telephone), and as we have not recieved the product ordered, we'd like this to be the end of it. Or do I have to dispute this transaction even though it has expired.

    Authorization concept is changed in BI 7.0.

  • Credit Card Authorization Process

    Hi All,
    I have a problem here. We implemented the credit card functionality and we also enabled the batch job RV21A010 which will run every day to pick up the expired authorization and also it picks up the orders coming within the horizon. Now we have some orders where the time gap between the delivery and the billing is huge and by the time the billing happens the authorization has expired. My doubt here is does the job RV21A010 willkeep authorizing the expired authorization till the accounting document is cleared. I tried looking into the program and it doesn't seem to be taking any indicator by which it finds out the open billing documents. Please help me as this is urgent and we are facing serious problems because of this.

    The program reauthorizes. We have tested this in our system
    we had a scenario where we get Debit memo request from CRM 45 days ahead of billing date and hence no authoirzation.
    We have run this program and it picks up these document when they come up withthin the Authorization Horizon (maintained in checking group).

  • In BCS HTML mail images are broken

    HI experts,
    I'm using the BCS calls to send out nice looking HTML which also includes one logo.
    Internally, in our LAN, the mails are looking quite nice and the image/logo is displayed correctly (MS Outlook)
    When external users using Lotus Notes try to open such an HTML mail, the image is attached correctly to the mail, but it isn't displayed, just a broken image picture. There's no chance to make the image visible inside the mail, they can just open the attached image itself, outside the mail context.
    Question is now how can I reach that the image is displayed correctly? If this is not possible at all, how can realize that the Lotus Notes users get a "Show Images" link (security restriction - add sender to safe senders)???
    Please find my current coding below, do I miss a parameter some where???

    I also had this problem with the Oracle HTTP Server and mod_plsql install.
    I battled with this for a while, I manged to get the images displayed etc.. by adding the following directive in httpd.conf

  • Not get refund from paypal , where is my money ?

    I order from buecher.de and pay 145.90 euro  with paypal in 13.may and i cancel order  19.may. I got message from buecher ,  that paypal refund me in 29 days .Today is over 40 days and i not get my money !!!!  Status:   Expired    Authorization for this payment has expired. Contact the merchant for more information.  Where is my money ??? (they not refund to my bank )

    When you pay a company (rather than an ebay seller or individual), then it is always pending until that company processes your order and captures the pending payment.
    If they don't process that order and capture the pending payment then the pending status times out at 30 days post-payment. So you should get your money after day 30 post payment.      ****************************************** I give up my time to help you so a thank you or kudos would be cool.

  • ISE - EAP-FAST PAC Provisioning - Identity field??

    Hi all, very simple question regarding the fields in the PAC provisioning section of ISE. Basically wondering what the "identity" field under machine and tunnel PAC is meant to be? I am currently planning an EAP-FAST deployment and this is the only area I am wondering about. Essentially planning to auto-provision the PAC hopefully using authenticate in-band. The Cisco doco is a little vague on this particular field.
    Thanks in advance - have googled this for a day or so and frankly cannot find the information that I want.

    •Tunnel PAC Time To Live—The Time to Live (TTL) value restricts the lifetime of the PAC. Specify the lifetime value and units. The default is 90 days. The range is between 1 and 1825 days.
    •Proactive PAC Update When: of PAC TTL is Left—The Update value ensures that the client has a valid PAC. Cisco ISE initiates an update after the first successful authentication but before the expiration time that is set by the TTL. The update value is a percentage of the remaining time in the TTL. The default is 90%.
    •Allow Anonymous In-band PAC Provisioning—Check this check box for Cisco ISE to establish a secure anonymous TLS handshake with the client and provision it with a PAC by using phase zero of EAP-FAST with EAP-MSCHAPv2. To enable anonymous PAC provisioning, you must choose both of the inner methods, EAP-MSCHAPv2 and EAP-GTC.
    •Allow Authenticated In-band PAC Provisioning—Cisco ISE uses SSL server-side authentication to provision the client with a PAC during phase zero of EAP-FAST. This option is more secure than anonymous provisioning but requires that a server certificate and a trusted root CA be installed on Cisco ISE.
    When you check this option, you can configure Cisco ISE to return an Access-Accept message to the client after successful authenticated PAC provisioning.
    –Server Returns Access Accept After Authenticated Provisioning—Check this check box if you want Cisco ISE to return an access-accept package after authenticated PAC provisioning.
    •Allow Machine Authentication—Check this check box for Cisco ISE to provision an end-user client with a machine PAC and perform machine authentication (for end-user clients who do not have the machine credentials). The machine PAC can be provisioned to the client by request (in-band) or by the administrator (out-of-band). When Cisco ISE receives a valid machine PAC from the end-user client, the machine identity details are extracted from the PAC and verified in the Cisco ISE external identity source. Cisco ISE only supports Active Directory as an external identity source for machine authentication. After these details are correctly verified, no further authentication is performed.
    When you check this option, you can enter a value for the amount of time that a machine PAC is acceptable for use. When Cisco ISE receives an expired machine PAC, it automatically reprovisions the end-user client with a new machine PAC (without waiting for a new machine PAC request from the end-user client).
    •Enable Stateless Session Resume—Check this check box for Cisco ISE to provision authorization PACs for EAP-FAST clients and always perform phase two of EAP-FAST (default = enabled).
    Uncheck this check box in the following cases:
    –If you do not want Cisco ISE to provision authorization PACs for EAP-FAST clients
    –To always perform phase two of EAP-FAST
    When you check this option, you can enter the authorization period of the user authorization PAC. After this period, the PAC expires. When Cisco ISE receives an expired authorization PAC, it performs phase two EAP-FAST authentication.
    •Preferred EAP Protocol—Check this check box to choose your preferred EAP protocols from any of the following options: EAP-FAST, PEAP, LEAP, EAP-TLS, and EAP-MD5. By default, LEAP is the preferred protocol to use if you do not enable this field.

  • Crazy order mishap

    On Sept 13 I ordered a Toshiba Satellite C55 laptop new, along with a few other things, totaling $455.26. I thought it would be just a matter of waiting. However, it obviously isn't the case. On Tuesday, I recieved an identical laptop but it was in refurbished form. I thought that was weird because I wanted it new so I checked my order status. It read that the laptop was still "in the process of fullfilling", but I have already received it (the refurbished one). It says I ordered a new one, and there wasn't any record of the refurbished laptop I had received. Moreover, on my debit card statement, Best Buy put another pending charge for $384 in addition to the original $455. Today, I got a text saying that the new laptop has left warehouse, and the charges are still "pending". I called 1 800 BESTBUY today, and they say they have no record of me ordering the refurbished laptop or the $384 charge. Ideally, since I already opened the refurbished laptop, I could keep it and cancel the order on the new one, but it has already been shipped. I believe this is a mishap on BEST BUY's part rather than identity theft, since the refurbished laptop is indentical to the one I wanted, and it was delivered to my name and address. Can someone resolve this?

    I can see why you'd be concerned! I'd be confused too if I continued to receive order updates after receiving what appeared to be the item in question, as well as saw multiple charges on my credit card statement for the same purchase.
    As you may be aware, a hold is typically placed on the paying debit/credit card for the order total whenever an order is placed on BestBuy.com. These funds aren't officially collected until the order has been shipped or picked up at one of our retail stores, but this may have an effect on your available credit in the interim. Portions of these holds may also need to be renewed if parts of an order are fulfilled at different times. When this occurs, it's the responsibility of the card's issuing bank to ensure that any expired authorizations are properly removed from the customer's account. Many banks are able to do so within 2-5 business days, but the exact timeframe required varies by financial institution.

  • Lousy Customer Service Experience

    My husband and I purchased a TV on 7/31/14. What started out as a good experience has turned into some of the worst customer service I have had the displeasure of experiencing. We made an online purchase for in-store pick up. When we got to the store and saw the TV we were purchasing, we changed our minds and went with a different TV. The sales person was extremely helpful and went above and beyond assisting us with our decision and purchase. We were told to cancel our online order, which we did. We received an email confirmation stating, "At your request, we've canceled your order. Be assured that if you paid by credit card, it has not been charged..." What we discovered was that we were indeed charged for the online purchase, in addition to the in store purchase. As soon as we noticed the charge, my husband called customer service and was told we should receive a refund within 7-10 business days. The customer service rep refused to look into it further, and my husband left the call feeling frustrated and annoyed.
    Several days passed when I decided to call yesterday, 8/11/14, to address this issue again since we had still not received our refund. I was told the same thing by a different customer service rep. I informed this person that I understood the policy, however, according to the email, our card should never have been charged in the first place. His attitude was that he couldn't care less, that was the policy, they didn't have the money- it would be refunded soon. I asked to speak with a supervisor who immediately met me on the defense, and repeated the same policy back at me. I expressed my irritation and frustration at hearing the policy over and over again, without hearing a solution AND they were failing to understand that my issue was not with the policy, but the fact that my card had been charged despite the cancelation email saying otherwise.
    After insinuating that 'if I needed the money,' he said that the best he could do was fax my bank to have them make the funds available. He told me he'd need my bank's fax number and put me on hold. I was on my bank's web site looking for a fax number, when he came back on the line. When I explained to him all I see is an 800 number and asked if that would work, he responded, "I guess" in the most put-out way possible. He said he would call me personally to inform me when this happened.  It's now the next day. No phone call from Dimitri, the customer service manager, no refund in the bank. This has truly been an eye opening and disappointing experience. 
    In this day and age of Amazon and other competitive big box retailers, the most precious asset a company has is it's employees and their ability to deliver exceptional customer service. This experience has left me questioning if I ever want to shop at Best Buy again.

    Purchasing a brand-new TV should be a quick, easy and painless process -- not a tiresome experience like you described -- so I can imagine how frustrated you must feel. I'd be disappointed too if I cancelled an order only to later discover that transaction on my credit card statement. We rely on our in-store and phone support reps to provide prompt and courteous service, so it's disheartening to learn of situations where that expectation may not have been met.
    Like AWBrown mentioned, a hold may be placed on the paying debit/credit card whenever an order is placed on BestBuy.com. These funds aren't officially collected until the order has been fulfilled (shipped or picked by in-store personnel), but this may have an effect on your available credit in the interim.   • Problems with Authorization Policy, the USER has expired and the ISE is allowing access.

    Hi,
    My end customer reported an issue with ISE 1.1.4-218.
    The GUEST user is expired but still can authenticate in the WLAN.
    That's an known issue/bug?

    Check if the option in the configuration part of the Authentication process = CONTINUE.
    For example, when you use CWA, the IF AUTHENTICATION FAILED Option = CONTINUE so the MAB Auth always fails but based on that Option your connection continues so you are actually redirected using the AUTHORIZATION Policy.

  • Pre-order & Authorization Expiration Date

    On July 11th I placed a pre-order with ToysRUs.com for an item that will be released on October 16th. However, according to my PayPal account, the authorization expiration date for that order is August 10th. Toys 'R Us will not allow me to change my payment method and a PayPal rep has told me that they cannot change the authorization expiration date. The PayPal rep told me that Toys 'R Us, on the other hand, can change the authorization expiration date. Is there anything else that I can try to resolve this issue? I really do not want to lose my pre-order! I don't understand why Toys 'R Us accepts PayPal for pre-orders at this point...

        Hi Mochita - We want to see that iPhone in your hands as soon as possible! We should have set the proper expectation when you called to discuss the order. The original order could not be modified so it had to be cancelled. We are unable to control the ship time on the second order as it is being recognized as a new order at 5:30AM. I apologize for any inconvenience. If needed the second order can be cancelled as well however we are unable to guarantee availability on launch day.

  • Re-authorizing an expired credit card authorization

    Hi,
    I am trying to find out whether re-authorising an expired credit card authorisation taken at the point of an order being placed will duplicate the amount ring fenced on the customers card. The documentation I have seen suggests that the funds are released and a re-auth will not duplicate the amount. We have the scenario where the customers using CC are bad payers therefore at the point the web order is taken we would like to ring fence the money unfortunately the requested delivery date could 3 weeks away and VISA auths generally last for 7 days before expiring.
    Any experience or advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

    You can maintain the authorisation validity periods in the customising to keep the authorisation for longer than 7 days (SAP Customizing Implementation Guide -> Sales and Distribution -> Billing -> Payment Cards -> Authorization and Settlement -> Specify Authorization Validity Periods) but I think you might be referring to how long VISA will keep the authorisation for.
    Perhaps your clearing house could provide you with more details on this.
    Bear in mind that even if you request an authorisation in the sales order in 3 weeks time you can stop the delivery from being created if no valid credit card authorisation has been received. If no authorisation is received from the clearing house no goods will be delivered to the customer so there should be no problem.

  • Authorization Code for Digital Copy 'Expired'

    I just bought a blu-ray + digital copy combo pack movie. While prompted to enter my authorization code, and once I did, a red alert message appeared stated that the code I entered was "expired". What can I do to solve this problem and how do I get a new authorization code without having to purchase another copy. Thanks.

    They don't expire. As far as anyone knows Apple IDs live on forever - if you forgot its password use https://iforgot.apple.com. Good luck with the answers to whatever security questions it asks.

    Right! That's the reason you do not create a new Apple ID.
    As far as Apple is concerned a new Apple ID is a completely different user, with absolutely, positively no access to anything available to any other Apple ID.
    Concentrate your efforts on resetting the password to your old Apple ID. It has not expired, and is the only way to use all your existing iTunes purchases, App Store purchases, computer authorizations... etc. Forget about the new Apple ID you just created.

  • Credit Card authorization error while creating an online sales order in ISA

    Hi All,
    I did the basic configuration for the webshop for B2C functionality in ISA R/3. When I choose a product from the product catalog, add it to a shopping cart, choose credit card option, enter a valid credit card and expiration date and confirm the order I get the error 'Unsuccessful credit card authorization'. But I can create an order successfully using VA01 transaction in R/3 with the same header and item level data and the credit card data. What can be the reason behind this error and how to fix it? Please let me know.
