Export data on pdf-form to Excel

I would need help for exporting data from pdf-form to Execl spreadsheet
the basic idea is that a pdf-form would be the user interface to collect the data with text boxes / drop-downs (such as "Vendor", "Purchase order number", "Date", "Text" etc.) and after the data is filled on the pdf-form it would be easily exported (with button?) to one certain Excel -file.
The Excel-file should have similarly named colums and the data from pdf-form would be exported always to the next empty row.

The idea was that the user would fill-in the data on the pdf -form and from there this data would be exported to one named Excel-file ( = data exported always to same Excel - file / to the next empty row)
So this Excel -file would act as a summary file / database from where the collected data could be easily sorted etc.
Another issue is that I'm looking for easy solution for the exporting fuction (e.g. button + java script) so that also the "dummy users" could operate this

Help with exporting data from pdf form

I have about 100 pdf forms that I created in adobe forms central and distributed as a pdf form (rather than on the web). I am trying to export the data into a spreadsheet but when I export it, the fields are all jumbled in the csv file, as in they are not in the same order. I need to export the data all together so I'm going to the forms menu and selecting "manage form data" and then selecting "merge data files into spreadsheet". I tried exporting a single file but that gave me something really weird.
Please help, I have a deadline next week to analyze this data and can't make sense of it once it is exported to a spreadsheet.

Would you please share your form with me and send me one of your pdf forms and some of the csv files?
You can share your form by doing the following:
1. Click on the “Share” icon on the bottom left corner.
2. Click on “Add Collaborator” on the popup menu.
3. Enter [email protected] under “People to share with”.
4. Set subject to "Export data from pdf form"
5. Click the “Share” button on the bottom right of the dialog.

Would like to export data from PDF form as plain text for other applications.

If this has been answered, I apologize and hope that someone will point me to the right place to see the answer.
PROBLEM: I have created a PDF form to be filled out and returned via email to specific email addresses. I want that email to show the data being returned as plain or rich text (either will do) in a simple email. I need this because the information will be used in different applications (print, web, etc...). I just need text that can easily be cut and pasted by people not that sophisticated in their use of computers.
I understand this may be a javascript function in the Actions menu of the Submit button. But, I rarely do forms through Acrobat and this is new to me.
Any helpful response is as always, greatly appreciated.

Exporting one specific pdf form field data to a specific webpage field

Hello there.
I am currently creating a form in which I need to export one specific pdf form field data to a specific webpage field to avoid typing it again or hitting ctrl+c and then ctrl+v to the webpage, as there are several records that need to be copied and pasted.
I read that there is no access to the clipboard within pdf therefore, would like to know if there is any way to do that without accessing the clipboard.
I am a newbie and have been learning by searching the forums and Google, therefore, would appreciate any insight on whether or not this is possible using javascript or the "submit form" funcion.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

The main issue I have is that this web page is in fact a government page in which I have to manually copy and paste information.
I have no idea how to automate this process - I have access to the scripts on the page to see what I am able to do, but since I do not have much experience (only very basic javascripting), any other insight would be great!

Linking data from PDF form into Indesign CS6

Hello all,
I'll be working on a magazine which has a large section of day camps technical descriptions :
name, contact info, location, short introduction text, activities icons (they have to choose up to 5 icons from a total of 12)
Is it possible to link data from a fillable PDF into predetermined and prestyled text boxes in Indesign CS6?
Would it be necessary to export in an Excel sheet prior?
What would be the best trick in order for the icons to place themselves automatically, if possible?

When placing a PDF into InDesign, it's a flat piece of art for each page included. There's no way to manipulate form fields or work with links or anything like that.
The data from the form would have to be collected and converted into an Excel file for placing into InDesign. (Collecting data from PDF forms and converting the Excel format can be done in Acrobat Pro.)

Automate PDF Form to Excel

I have Adobe Acrobat X Pro and Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES2. I'm going to start off with what I have currently and what I want to do to see if anyone can come up with a solution.
I have created a form for new suppliers to fill out in Adobe Acrobat X Pro. The form works very well, I was able to use some Javascript for two checkboxes to fill in data if the ordering address is the same as shipping address. I typically get 3-4 of these a day. Once I receive a form I either manually have to enter this data into our vendor data or use an excel file that will complete some of the work. Until I created this form, they were typically hand written and the end user (me) manually transcribes all of the data into the excel file or into our vendor data software.
What I want is for the PDF form to get filled out by the supplier. When I receive the form returned, I want to run a macro in VBA and import the data from the form into Excel. If anyone has some advice on how to accomplish this task that would be great. Some other questions/notes below:
Using distribute forms does any of the data get uploaded to Adobe? This is confidential information I am dealing with I can't have any outside user see it. I have not been using distribute form, I have just saved an extended version that I send to the supplier.
I have a signature field that locks the pdf when it is signed. I'm not sure if this will cause a problem.
One of the main issues I am facing is I can't make this a complex process. I want to automate this task, but if I make the task too complex I will not be allowed to use it.
I mentioned I have Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES2 on my computer. I have messed around in the software but I am mostly unfamiliar with it.

The format I'm looking for is something that can be imported easily into Access; I was shooting for CSV or XLS, but now I'm wondering if XML would be easier.
I have experience with Visual Basic.NET, VB6, VBA, some ColdFusion, HTML, ASP.NET, and non-programming languages such as SQL, SAS and R.
For JavaScript, I remember reading something a while back that you can do everything in Notepad - is that correct? The IT department here is horribly strict (I had to have my director sign off on software that was already approved), so having to get something installed will take months.

Hi Experts,
when trying to upload a PDF file to my WD4A application and extract the data I am getting this ADS Error:
ADS: com.adobe.ProcessingException: Error exporting Data into PDF - PDF Exception: Invalid object for the XFA entry in the forms dictionary.(200201).
The error only appears when I`m trying to upload a PDF file that has been created after an Java Script Update of the Adobe Form Builder. My actual version is 710.20070621204053.403203.403203 - ContainerFoundation_JS.
All PDF files created before this update can be uploaded without problems. Am I missing something to be updated?!

I'm trying to export data from a tableview to excel, I followed the instruction posted by Detlev Beutner, created a class extends AbstractPortalComponent, and overwrote the doOnNodeReady:

I did write some test output in doContent:

I was hoping to see the excel to display the content "Field11 Field12...", but I got a portal login screen displayed in Excel.
Does anyone have the same experience and and idea on this?

Error while exporting data from sql server to excel

I am trying to export data from sql server to excel.
The query that I used is s follows
INSERT INTO OPENROWSET( 'Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0', 'Excel 8.0;Database=C:\Folder1\abc.xls','select * from [Sheet1$A1:IV65000]')

column1,column2.... from Table1
I get the following error message while doing so..
String or binary data would be truncated.
The statement has been terminated.
One of the column's holds data more than 225 characters.
What is the way to correct this, i want the whole data of the colum in the excel sheet.

I haven't had great luck with the INSERT INTO OPENROWSET method. Can you try one of the many samples from one of these 3 links?

My requirement is to display a report in PDF form. Its totally Independent form from NACE.
I have written a Driver program & retrieved all the DATA into a Final internal table.
Now All that I need is to display the same Internal Table data into PDF form output.
Can anyone help me how to send this data(47 records in Internal table with 8 fields in Internal table) to PDF.

I'm now able to save the retrieved xml in a hidden text field and create dynamic table, and I'm able to fill this table from the XML, but the problem is that I could not find the correct way to loop on the xml, what I'm trying to say, the table will have number of rows with the data of the first row only, so can you tell me the right way to loop on the xml!

U must be geting the data from the database...

Help: How to merge excel data onto PDF form

What steps do i need to take in order to merge excel data into my form. I'm currently looking into pulling the following fields from excell and merge them into my form:
Employee name
Employee ID#
Position Title
Supervisor
I been browsing around LiveCycle Designer and haven't stumble upon this feature yet.

Edit: I want to create 600 records containing the information above out of my one form. That way i don't have to sit here and do i form for each employee one at the time.

Well i already created the XML file so that is ready to go, just been trying to figure out how execute a merge and create 600 records one for each employee.
I was looking into exporting the PDF file into word and that way i could execute this merge much more easily but i don't think i have the capabilities to do so.
