Now question is, my boss want me to set up reports such a way that when active batch is ran, reports should be exported into excel sheet automatically with the default values given for parameters at some specific folder location. How can I export report

Taglib to export data into excel?
Has anyone used a taglib to export data into excel, I have seen one post but when I went to the web site @http://www.servletsuite.com/servlets/exceltag.htm
It only has the jar file and .tld file is invalid.
When I just give the jar file, it complains that it can not find the .tld file, so I was wondering if anyone here has some knowledge about this?
Thanks a lot for your help!The displaytag library can do excel exports.

Error while exporting data into Excel Sheet
Hi All,
I have created a VO which is based on Query(Not based on EO) and the Query is as follows:
select f.user_name ,
f.description ,
a.currency_code,
a.amount_to ,
a.amount_from
from seacds.ar_approval_user_limits_nv a , seacds.fnd_user_nv f
where f.user_id = a.user_id
and a.document_type = 'CM'
order by 2;
Based on this VO I have created a search page which will search and returns data from the table and finally standard export button will export the data into excel sheet.
In this am searching the data based on above 5 attributes. Without entering anything in the messageTextInput if i am clicking GO button, it is returning all the data into the table region. After this if i click on Export Button, data are getting exported into Excel Sheet. It is fine.
But if i am searching the data by entering any value in any of the messageTextInput, it is returning data. But if i am clicking the Export Button then it is throwing the following error:

MyvizhiHi Myvizhi ,
Did you try running the query from back end that got generated in the error trace ? see if that query is returning desired
output .
Also would like to know if you are using oracle standard search mode i.e result based search / auto customization search ?

Export Reports into Excel?
Can a summary of responses be exported into Excel?
You can also save the Summary Report as a PDF file. That might be better for exec mgmt.
This post explains summary reports in more detail:
http://forums.adobe.com/thread/884166
Additionally you can save a detail view of a single response as a PDF. This FAQ describes how to do that:

Hello,
I populated a datagrid using a query. Now I want to export
the content of the datagrid to Excel.
Is this possible?
I don't want to use the query to Export to Excel.
I want to Export from the datagrid itself.
Anyone has an idea how to export my datagrid to Excel in
flex?
ThxCode is below. I simplified it a bit for this post, I hope it
still works ;-)
Couple of assumptions
1) My dataproviders are XMLListCollections - you have to
adapt that if you are using something else
2) I set a dataField on the datagrid columns for the XML
attribute I want to read
I am sure there are better / more generic ways of doing this,
but this works for me right now and I blew a lot of time on this
when I first came across the problem. If you find a better solution
let me know ;-)
public static function
copyGridData(srcDataGrid:DataGrid):void {
var outputA:Array = new Array();
// header
var headerA:Array = new Array();
var columns:Array = srcDataGrid.columns;
for each (var col:DataGridColumn in columns ) {
headerA.push(col.headerText);
outputA.push(headerA.join("\t"));
// data
var data:XMLListCollection =
XMLListCollection(srcDataGrid.dataProvider);
for each (var r:XML in data) {
var rowA:Array = new Array();
for each (var col2:DataGridColumn in columns) {
if (col2.dataField != null) {
rowA.push(r.attribute(col2.dataField.substr(1,col2.dataField.length-1)));
} else {
rowA.push("");
outputA.push(rowA.join("\t"));
// copy onto the clipboard
System.setClipboard(outputA.join("\n"));
Alert.show("Data copied to the clipboard.\nOpen target
application (e.g. Excel) and paste data.", "Data Copy"); -
PTWC 2.2 and Export Datagrid to Excel
I have a portlet with an Image Button control that will export a Datagrid to Excel. Using the PT Web controls 2.2 I get a JavaScript Error (Object is Null or Nothing). It works fine outside of the portal. My current work-around is to use an IFrame. Has anyone else encountered this?

How to export datagrid to Excel
I want to export data from a datagrid to Excel. I heard about
the use of Clipboard, but can't figure out how to use it.
Can anyone give me a nice solution, how to do this?
ThxHi michael,
I'm trying to do this: in my application I have a datagrid
and I have a button to export the datagrid in Excel. When the user
click on the button, I need to open a new html window where the
data are showed in the excel format (may be also csv).
I read that you have a solution to show the excel document.
Are you available to share an example of the code or provide me a
link on the web where I can find it?
Any suggestion will be appreciated.
Thank you very much.

I want to extract the metadata I have added to my images and export it into an Excel spreadsheet. Can this be done within LR4.4? If the software doesn't have a function for this is there another way to do it?
Thanks for any help you can offer.JB's ListView is the most straight-forward solution, but
ConfidentialInformant
allows for full customization (e.g. if you want to pick and choose custom metadata fields, or export more fields than ListView supports (10), or tweak data formats, or add intelligence...).

When exporting PDF into Excel works great - with one exception
In converting a pdf into an excel document (with 10 columns) all of the columns and the data line up accurately after conversion - except for one of them. 5 of the columns are numerical values and 5 are characters/letters (in mixed order).
The column that does not align is column 9 and it's a text based column. The info from this column appears on it's own line in the first column - which is a numerical field. I have to cut and paste that info and place it in the correct column manually and I realy hope to avoid doing that because this is a 30,000 line long piece of excel data!. It is formatted perfectly in the pdf version and only is a problem when I convert it into excel.
Anyne ever have the same issue that found a fix? Any suggestions or ideas?Maybe not available with Mac? Don't know.
With Windows, select, right click & it is on the context menu.
Be well...
