Trying to debug my application
Hi,
When I'm looking in my log file, I see a line like this:
07/03/19 16:32:25 [2897] Reusing a cached session application module instance
Sometimes I see this line 4 times
I'm looking to find which class log this line in the debug file.
Any one has an idea?
Thanks
Martin
Hi,
it would probably be in the source code for ADF BC, you can request the source by logging an SR on Oracle Metalink.

Dbx freezes when trying to debug an application
Hi all,
I have an application compiled with gcc 3.4, multi-threaded, on solaris 9.
When I try to debug this app with dbx, I get the "reading myapp..." for a long time (meanwhile, calling many times to brk()).
Does anybody have any idea what's wrong with it?
When I try it on a simple program, dbx works fine.
Thanks in advance,
DanWe need some more information.
Is this a C or C++ application?
What version of Sun Studio are you using?
How are you doing the multithreading... are you using OpenMP? -

Greetings,
Carsten -
There is a useful thread over in the CCF forum about how to use Gravity logging APIs in Mosaic and how to display the debug window and configure a server log
http://forums.adobe.com/message/3975135Hi Kevin,
I used your work around trying to debug my
application.
I attached to the VM where the application
is running in and I saw the classes, methods,
fields .... which were invoked.
The application reached the breakpoint and stopped,
but the debugger did not "know" something about the
source code (line where to stop, and so on; line ?
was printed out in the debugger console).
So there was no possibility to step through
the application.
If I start the application without the debugger
and print the stack in the JavaWebstartConsole
there is the information (Unknown Source) behind
every line of the stack.
I think this could cause my problem.
Any suggestions?

Visual Studio Error while trying to debug a web application
I am developing a MVC web application. I had an issue where VS 2013 sp3 ultimate was not launching anymore so I uninstalled and re-installed VS 2013 sp4 ultimate. I am able to launch my web application using Start Without Debugging.
However, when I try to debug my application I get a Microsoft Visual Studio pop-up error message that says:
'Uncaught exception thrown by method called through Reflection. It's not even reaching my application I am unable to even debug where this message is coming from.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Help will be very much appreciated.
Thanks.
E RiveraHi E Rivera,
Thanks for your friendly response.
If you debug this app in other VS machine, how about the result?
In addition, whether all MVC projects have the same issue? For example, just create a simple default MVC project, debug it, how about the result?
If all projects have the same issue, I doubt that it is your VS installion issue.
Maybe you could repair your VS, and then create a new project, debug it again.
If just one specfic app has this issue, I doubt that we would think about the project, you could add breakpoints, and then debug your app, and maybe you could get more useful information. Of couse, if just the specifc MVC app has this
issue, I suggest you post this issue to the ASP.net forum.

Error while trying to debug on windows mobile 6.1 with j2me SDK 3.0 ea
Hi,
I tried to debug a simple application today. It works fine with the emulator but debug fails to connect to the device.
I followed the steps described in the userguide of 3.0.
host operating system: windows xp sp3
device: htc touch pro
device operatiing system: windows mobile 6.1 professional
The device is listed in the device selector of the SDK as Touch_Pro
The device is connected and active sync is running (i can explore the phone using windows explorer)
sun-java-cldc-emu.cab has been installed on the device and is running
When i try to debug the application from the SDK or netbeans 6.5(added 3.0ea as a platform) i get the following error:
Starting emulator with port number 51307
Cannot create device connection: Failed to connect to device 9!
Result: 1
I tried setting the loglevel to DEBUG in log4j config of the SDK, but thats it.
Are there any other settings i can change to get more detailed output?
Where do you report bugs/feedback for j2me SDK 3.0 ea?

dominikg

At first, You can try to restart the device-manager from system tray.
If it doesn't help, then try the following:
- stop the device manager
- Remove c:\Docement and Settings\<your User>\javame-sdk folder.
- Ran the device manager from <SDK>/bin directory
- try to debug again.
Did you tried to change port 51307 to another.
Early access build had some problems with device manager, I hope that final release will be better :)

Looks like the problem is casued by missing component. But we don't know which component missing and how to find it. Is there anybody can give us some clue what we need to check next and what tool we can use to detect missing component.
Thanks!!!!I tried Dependency Walker in our development environment, looks like it's useless for .NE T Window Form application, the result I got is like bellow,
XXXXX.EXE
MSCOREE.DLL
KERNEL32.DLL
USER32.DLL
ADVAPI32.DLL
SHLWAPI.DLL
URLMON.DLL
VERSION.DLL
I know we used some other DLL like Mirosoft Office Object Library, but MSCOREE.DLL (.NET Runtime Engine) covered them. Any other idea? Thanks!!!! -
WIS 10901 when trying to debug in ABAP
Hi,
We get a WIS 10901 in Webi when trying to debug in the MDX part of the ABAP stack with external breakpoints. I wonder how XI gets the event that ABAP stack should start the debugger. This usually works for other RFC connected applications as well.
Any ideas ?
Best regards, PhilippDo you have the file c:\jdk1.3\jre\bin\fdebug.exe, if you don't, you
need it. Look for the file in the base install directory, it should be
there and then copy it to the location above.

Debugging bluetooth applications
hi,
im trying to debug the BluetoothDemo (J2ME Wireless Toolkit 2.2, client/server image download) but i dont know how. im using studio mobility 6. the application is running fine but no matter where i set a breakpoint. - the debugger does not stop at all. all my other applications run fine with the debugger...
any ideas how to debug properly?
regards,
c.Use NetBeans 4.0 (see http://www.netbeans.org/, you can find a tutorial on the title page).
It is now RC2 about a week until final release. -
Debugging Linux applications on Microblaze
Hello,
could someone please answer some questions who is debugging Linux applications on Microblaze.
I have to prepare an environment to debug applications running on Microblaze Linux 2.6.38. Everywhere, I can find hints how to do it with ARM on Zynq, but this is only a Spartan-6. I might change the Linuxversion but not the hardware.
First, I compiled the kernel 2.6.38 (PLB, big endian) with initramfs_minimal.cpio.gz, then I compiled it with initramfs_complete.cpio.gz. In both cases, the Linux Kernel is running on Microblaze and I can access the filesystem with a serial link and with LAN using telnet.
To debug applications, I tried to run with Windows 7 (64-bit) the Xilinx SDK (Eclipse) included in ISE/XPS 14.7. For Linux applications running on Microblaze, I tried to use the GDB-Debugger in SDK. I think I have to start a GDBserver first and then start SDK to connect to it.
I could not find the GDBserver in the above mentioned filesystems. So, I downloaded the GDB sources for GDB 7.7 and did two configurations. One for the host (first VirtualBox with Ubuntu-Linux-32bit, later Windows 7) and one for the target (microblaze running on spartan-6).
to create the GDBclient for the PC:
configure --prefix=/opt/gdb/mb-linux/cross --target=microblaze-unknown-linux-gnu
The following commands 'make' and 'make install' are running without errors.
to create GDBserver for the FPGA:
configure --prefix=/opt/gdb/mb-linux/native --host=microblaze-unknown-linux-gnu
There is an error with the following command 'make'.
error: Gdb does not support native target microblaze-unknown-linux-gnu
I have really tried a lot, looked at many pages, e.g.:
http://www.wiki.xilinx.com/
Xilinx Wiki - Getting started
Xilinx Wiki - MicroBlaze
Xilinx Wiki - Create Linux Application
Xilinx Wiki -Debug Application
Many links were broken and if accessible, debugging Linux on Zynq or debugging a standalone application on microblaze was described.
It would be very helpful if someone who actually did debug Linux applications on microblaze with or without SDK could describe a little bit how it works.
Is GDB included in either of these filesystems and I did not see it ?
Do I need to create GDBserver ?
What is wrong with my settings to create GDBserver ?
Is there a totally different way to debug ?
Thanks in advance for your help,
MichaelHello Achutha,
thank you for your reply.
I already knew those two links but I took a close look at them again.
The second link helps to run a Linux kernel on Microblaze. It ends when it's getting interresting for me. It does not describe anything about developing a Linux application.
The first link is using Zynq. Most of the steps can be done with Microblaze as well. When I start debugging, it changes to the debug perspektive and after some seconds I see the message
Hello_Linux_Debug(SDK Linux TCF Agent: Disconnected): Connection refused: connect
SDK.log in the SDK workspace shows:
15:20:34.399 ERROR - Unexpected error while parsing XMD response ?: com.google.gson.JsonSyntaxException: com.google.gson.stream.MalformedJsonException: invalid number or unquoted string near
I tried the following options but nothing helped:
Kernel with initramfs_minimal.cpio.gz and with initramfs_complete.cpio.gz.
Changed the access rights of /tmp (I used it for 'Remote File Path')
In the video for Zynq, it is said:
by default, there is a TCF agent running
I guess, the TCF agent can be seen on Zynq if you list all processes running.
What is the name of the TCF agent?
I guess this one is missing on my Microblaze.
Any other suggestions?
Kind regards,
Michael -
I tried to debug the code in OnInitialization and OnInputProcessing event handler but I am not able to do so.
I activated debugging through SICF transaction and also tried through Utilities->External Breakpoints->Set/Delete External Breakpoints and Activate from Web Application Builder but no luck so far
SAP_BASIS Release 700 Level 0009Have you checked...
In ABAP Workbench. Utlities->Settings->ABAP Editor->Debugging and set users to your username in the Extrenal Debugging area.
In SICF. Edit->Debugging->Activate Debugging. This must be done after you create the breakpoint.
Triple check the BSP application is running under your user name.

Unable to debug any application after upgrading to Reef Shark and Update 6
Hi,
Since I upgraded to Reef Shark and consequently also installed the update 6 I can't access the deployment server.
None of the applications show up in the broswer, nor does the admin-console for the server.
I get the following exceptions in the browser window when I want to debug my application:

IwanHi Iwan,
From JDK 1.4 the com.sun.security.auth.PolicyFile class has been deprecated and replaced by sun.security.provider.PolicyFile. Could this be the reason?
I found this info at the following URL. Maybe this will help you in some way: http://www.doc.ic.ac.uk/csg/java/1.4docs/guide/security/jaas/spec/com/sun/security/auth/PolicyFile.html
Cheers :-)

I have one paid mobileme account, few days ago I have done transition to iCloud and all my iDisk, contact... gone. Today I tried login to iCloud application on my windows pc (64bit) but I can not, it said "this apple id is valid but is not iCloud account". I can login on website icloud.com but can not login into iCloud application installed on pc. What's wrong?
I have tried another free apple ID and logged on. That's funny when I can login with free account and can not login with paid mobileme account!!!!!!By the way - the only reason I downloaded iCloud is because Apple deleted the backup option from iTunes. Since iCloud doesn't work, I guess we have no way to protect our iTunes music collection. Absolutely stupid.

Are you trying to import an application in the server as a LCA? Have you checked whether that application was existing previously or not? Sometimes if the application archieve is corrupted this type of situation might happen. Another reason might be you have already deployed application of the same name. try to undeploy the application if you have in the same name and try doing it. You can also import that in thw orkbench if you have got individual files.
Thanks,
Bibhu.
