Export execution command - DB2 v8.2

Hi all,
I am having problems when trying to export the execution command of a job from the Data Services Management Console.
The environment is windows 2003 server with tomcat and DB2 v8.2 as repository.
When I click the Export execution command link in the console I am getting the following:
[jcc][t4][10120][10898][3.50.152] Invalid operation: result set is closed. ERRORCODE=-4470, SQLSTATE=null
Anything else is working fine, I can run jobs from designer...
Does anyone know what could be going wrong?
Thanks in advance

Hi thanks a lot for your reply.
I'll check the fix.
I am using 8.1.7.445, I believe it is Fix Pack 7.
Do you think that the bug exists with this fix pack level as well as well?

  • Data Services 4.0 - Batch Job - Export Execution Command - Error

    Hi,
I'm new to Data Services and tried to get started with this "how to":
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/HowToUseBusinessObjectsDataServicesinSAPBIstagingprocess
Just that I used BW 7.0 instead of BI.
But I got stuck at the Export Execution Command. Everytime I klick "Export", I get a "java.lang.NullPointerException".
(I can execute the job manually from the Designer and it completes successfully.)
Any idea what I can do to export it successfully?
Or is there a workaround so that I'll be able to initiate the process from the BW system?
    Thanks!

  • How to export execution commands for all jobs in project?

I would like to export the execution command line windows batch file and text paramater file for over 700 BODS Jobs in a Project folder.
Is there a command line tool or BODS Utility to export execution commands for all jobs in a project?

if you look at the command line most of the information is fixed like job server, port etc., the main thing that you need is the GUID of the job, that you can get from AL_LANG Repo table. You can write a script or a DS job to build this command line and write to a bat and txt file for each job

  • Where is the .bat command when exporting an execution command?

From the administrator console, I generate an execution command.
I get a confirmation that the export was successful and a password file has been generated on:
    "on Job Server GBxxxxxx:3500, at C:/ProgramData/SAP BusinessObjects/Data Services/conf/Repo_GBLONBO11.txt."
I have no problem locating the password file, but where is the .bat file?
I have done a search on the entire server for jobname.bat file but nothing to be found.
I have logged on to the server using the same username as the user which runs the Data Services service.
    In some other posts I found a reference to C:/ProgramData/SAP BusinessObjects/Data Services/common
but that folder does not exist.
    We're using Data Services 4.2 on W2k.
    Thanks for your help,
    Jan.

    Dear Jan,
Export Excution Command will create 1.bat and 1 .txt file with job name.
You can find the .bat file under the below mention path
    C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Data Services\log
Note: Please make sure that you are searching in the system, where the job server is installed and running.
    Thanks,
    Sam

  • Automate export via command line (Tiger)

I want to automate the backup (not just the directories) of both iCal and Address Book on Tiger. I've had a look at the AppleScript dictionaries for both apps, but the export function is not there.
Any ideas on how I can do the export on the command line??

    Hi Gerald,
Yes it is very much possible. For large configurations, it is recommended to take export from command line-
    1. run setenv file
    2. java -Xms512M -Xmx512M oracle.tip.repos.export.Export -inputfile <inputfile> [-ignoretypes <
    file>] <export file name>
    Arguments:
-inputfile <inputfile> to export specific objects .
-ignoretypes <file> , This is only for business process. This is to ignore
the object types while exporting deployable BP.
<export file name> name of the export file
    For e.g. -
    C:\B2B10g\Midtier\ip\install>java -Xms512M -Xmx512M oracle.tip.repos.export.Export C:\commandExport.xml
    Starting Execution Context
    Export file name is C:\commandExport.xml
    3.26
    exporting all design objects
    export done

  • Workspace export via command line

The utility that was written to export applications via the command line is great so we can set up nightly application backups. I did a search and couldn't find anything that would do something similar for workspaces. Is there anything like this that exists or is in the works?
    Thanks

  • How to select the "in columns" dimension on export all Command ?

    Hello,
I'm trying to export data from an V6.5 Essbase database to a 9.2 one.
The easier and faster way I found is to use the 'Export database all data in Columns' from the 6.5 cube and load the data with a rule file in the 9.2 (The Export database command is MaxL command).
The Export All Command with the "in columns options", export all data and put one dimensions in columns. Previously, It was always the Time dimension (M01 .... M12). And all worked fine.
But someone changed the order of the dimensions in the V6.5 Essbase database. And now, there is another dimension (which changes more often) in columns and which have a lot of members (meanwhile my time dimension only have 12 members).
So do you know how to select the dimensions which is in columns when using the export database all data function ? I do not see any options in Maxl ?? Maybe there is a rule to follow, in the dimensions order ?
Do you have any idea about it ?
    Thanks for your help
P.S : I'd prefer to avoid workaround such as using Reports Scripts or Calc Script (there are too slow).

Why not use Essbase's native export format, bring it over onto your new environment, and reimport? Change to your heart's content on the target.
Yes, the dimensionality (names, order, members, etc.) will have to be the same, but this approach, not the columnar export, is the fastest and most efficient way.

  • Usage of 'export' & 'import' command in SSL

    Hi,
I have a query regarding 'export' and 'import' command while creating security certificates.
Why do we use export word in this command and not anywhere else -
keytool -export -alias weblogic -file trust.pem -keystore mykeystore.jks -storepass weblogic -rfc
why can't we use import instead of export and vice versa.
what do u mean when u say, import or export, what is the basic difference between these two in terms of security command.
    Thanks,
    Sid

    Hi Vankan,
Your question is so extensive that should be explained a bit.
Could you please be more specific? Which platform are we talking about? DB, OS, etc?
Which kind of export/import do you want to carry out?: e.g.: client transport, client copy, homogeneous system copy, heterogeneous system copy...
The technique you will use for that depends on what you want to do and on the platform you are working on.

  • Final Cut Export XML: Command-line option

Is there a way to use a command-line function to automatically export the XML for a Final Cut (.fcp) file ? We need to see the clips that make up a .fcp file, and do reporting. Since we have thousands of these files, we need to automatically create the XML files without opening each file automatically.

    Hey Ani_,
I've been working with Adobe products for a long time and typically when you come across an error that has anything to do with a XML file export problem its due to things such as effects you may have added in, color corrections, cross fades or any type of video transitions between clips. Remember your work flow should be
Import your footage into Premiere Pro
Name your clips (helps find things later on)
Place clips on time line in the order you wish (ONLY MAKE CUTS don't add anything, transitions color effects nothing)
Then once your clips are all placed on the timeline in your correct order you then EXPORT> Final Cut Pro XML
Now you can bring this into other programs for color grading or whatever else your going to do.  You will notice you have no errors on the export.
Once your done doing what your doing to the clips in another program (for example: Divinci Resolve color grading) you can then export them back to your main project then add your effects and transitions.

  • Import/Export tool Command line syntax for R2

Would anyone please advise the syntax of command line import/export tool for XIR2?
Read this post below for importing from a biar file but not sure how to export from BO into a biar file.
How to log BIAR export/import from command line
We're in fact trying to migrate from R2 into R3. The import wizard provided by BO doesn't work well with favorites and inboxes migration due to the large volume of data we need to migrate, hence looking for alternatives.
Any advice around this line would be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Denis,
Thanks for your reply. This at least saved my effort to explore further.
Would you offer any advice for migrating large volume of personal folders from R2 into R3?
We're integrating with AD, so everytime listing users for selection taking ages and often times out.
Even if we managed to export the biar file for a group of users, exporting them into R3 fails quite often as well.
The whole process is simply very unpredictable and unreliable.
    Thanks.

  • Export-data command in ACS CLI v 5.5

    Hi,
I would like to ask which fields of the user database does the 'export-data user' command export?
I see in the tacacs web interface, if I look up system administration > Users > Authentication Settings, the Date Exceed field is filled
and so is the password lifetime such as if not changed within xx days, or reminder after xx days. Can these data be exported?
Also whenever the password is renewed, is it recorded in the one of the logs?
    Thanks a lot.

  • Downtime for Heterogeneous System Copy Export of Source DB2 LUW

    Hello,
What is the downtime required for a heterogeneous system copy export of a source database on AIX with DB2 LUW?  Here are the following details of the data itself:
DB size: 120 GB used of 240 GB.
    Physical server: IBM Power5 quad-core 1.65GHz virtualized
    RAM: 9.5GB

I suggest you just "try it out" as a test run. It's quite impossible to give estimates based on database sizes. It's possible to migrate roughly 1 TB/hour with appropriate hardware, mostly your harddisks will be the bottleneck.
There are also a number of other factors like number of R3load processes, table splitting or not, parallel export/import etc.
I highly suggest to run the migration a few times before you do the "live" migration.

  • APEX Export using command line utility....

    Hi All,
Just a question about the command line export utility for HTMLDB. It works great for exporting the application itself, is there any way to get it to export the application's CSS as well as any files such as javascript files etc...?
    Cheers, Henry

There is no easy way to do this in Apex 2.0.
The upcoming 2.2 release (due out in the next couple of months) has a full fledged deployment system (including table create DDL, files, images and seed data), all in a single SQL file. See http://apex.oracle.com/i22/doc/deployment_how.htm#CHDEAGDI
