Export/Import  Object configuration

hi gurus!
I have the next landscape, and I´ll want to stop make manually the export of configuration objects:
XI DEV    -
    XI QAS     -
    XI CORP
BS_DSP060          BS_QSP060               BS_SIF060
The problem is that in each enviroment each Business system has diferent name. so that´s my problem, how could I make
that this Business systems recognize in automatically at the export/import time?
Thanks

  • Export/Import Server Configuration

    Hi,
I have multiple physical servers to configure that will have
the same MX 7 configuration settings. Is there a way to export and
then import these settings so I don't have manually complete each
one? For example, I'm looking to replicate datasources,
collections, scheduled tasks, cfx tags, client vars etc. Please
    advise. Thanks!

You can either use the ear/war export & import utilities
    of the CF
administrator or you can manually copy/merge the appropriate
neo_xxxx.xml files from one system to another.

  • Export/import preferences configurations?

    greetings,
back in the olden days, before OSX, i used to save my systems configurations. for example, os9 and before, i could save my locations, printers, etc... i have both a desktop and a macbook pro, and at home a powerbook and a new MBPro and sometimes need to copy configurations between the computers. or on rare occasions, i've done a complete new install to avoid bugs between major os upgrades...
i've been looking for the ability to export some of my systems settings in OSX, but haven't seen a good way to do this... so i sometimes have to manually copy the configuration info from one computer to another. this would include network settings, printers, even things in apple mail prefs (yes i'll try another forum for that one)... but this is obviously a royal pain...
i did find an export option for network. but none for printers. the network pref export is grayed out. the system help states how to export, but doesn't give any clues about why the export option would be grayed out...
does anyone have any suggestions about either
1- this network export issue or
2- if there is any ability to export other preferences?
    thanks for any suggestions-
    jeffery

oh... that leaves a bit to be desired... too bad they haven't fully implement the ability to save/export all the configurations... that would be a helpful capability... think of all the "IT" departments, that would use such an options besides individual users...
you have a "noWhere" config too, presumably for a low power mode to conserve battery life... i'd guess a lot of laptop owners have a similar config... it might be a help if apple created a default "noNetwork" config since macbooks are such a large part of their base...
seems like a good time for some feedback...
    thanks for the info-

  • EXPORT/IMPORT Q & A

    제품 : ORACLE SERVER

    EXPORT/IMPORT Q & A
    ===================
    PURPOSE
    Explanation
    catexp.sql에 Script되어 있다.
이 스크립트 화일은 $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin에 있으며 Install시 수행되도록
    1. Tablespaces
    2. Profiles
    3. Users
    4. Roles
    5. System Privilege Grants
    6. Role Grants
    7. Default Roles
    8. Tablespace Quotas
    9. Resource Costs
    10. Rollback Segments
    11. Database Links
    12. Sequences( includes Grants )
    13. Snapshots ( includes grants, auditing )
    14. Snapshot logs
    15. Job Queues
    16. Refresh Groups
    17. Cluster Definitions
    18. Tables(includes grants,column grants,comments,indexes,
    constraints,auditing)
    19. Referential Integrity
    20. POSTTABLES actions
    21. Synonyms
    22. Views
    23. Stored Procedures
    24. Triggers
    25. Default and System Auditing
    -BUFFER
    -RECORDLENGTH
    Size * Row
X 또는 Y DB에 import(imp는 적정한 것을 활용)하는 것을 말한다.
[질문8] EXP-37 에러(export views not compatible with database version)
하는 View(Catexp.sql에 의해 생성된)가 Oracle Version내에 일치하지 않아
Full
    Export
Unlimited
    예를 들면 다음과 같다.
    $ sqlplus system/manager
    SQL> alter user scott
    quota 0 on system
    quota 0 on tools
    quota 0 on data
    quota unlimited on users;
    SQL>revoke unlimited tablespace from scott;

Oh! That's NOT what you asked. What you asked is:
my question is, do I need to export all files again?
As for the WSUSUTIL functionality, that is an ALL or NOTHING operation. You have no choice in the matter.

  • Oracle export/import and indexing

    Hello All,
I am a newbie in oracle filed and trying to understand export/import funtionality and indexing related to it. May be it's silly but I don't get any other way to understand it.
Below are the topics I tried to understand-
    1) I export one Db and trying to import that in another database server. I used sysdba username to import. A new table space will get created or how the data will store in database what would be the effect in indexing with this export and import.
    2) If i import one more db on the same database server using sysdba username then also how indexing will behave?
    Please help me to understand
    Thanks
    Sayan
    Edited by: Sayan_Roy on Sep 26, 2011 11:41 PM

Indexes are tied to tables. The default behaviour, in the absence of you specifying any directives, is that Oracle runs
    CREATE TABLE
    INSERT INTO table
    CREATE INDEX
So, the Indexes are created after each of the corresponding tables.
Do NOT ever attempt to export/import objects owned by SYSDBA. You should be creating a separate schema to hold all your objects (Tables, Indexes, Views, Procedures, Functions etc). That separate schema can be exported and imported into another database. If you have multiple such schemas, a Full Export Import will copy all the schemas.
If a schema preexists in the target database, the import will error when attempting to CREATE TABLE --- unless you specify directives to handle this.
Please read the documentation on Export and Import for the version that you are testing.

  • Importing design/configuration objects.

    Hi everybody,
I've exported design and configuration objects from a test server, but now i need to import those files into the development server in order to set the scenario on this server.
So, i've tried the import option but it saids "0 objects found", i don't know where to upload these files and what tool/option use to perform the importing task.
Do you know how to do that?
    Regards,
    Gerardo.

    Hi Gerardo,
you have to transfer exported files (from the export directory of the dev XI)
to the importing directories of the destination XI(qat, prd) server
    try this page:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/a8/5e56006c17e748a68bb3843ed5aab8/content.htm
it shows <b>Import and Export Directories</b>
the whole path look like this:
    <b><SAPSID>/SYS/global/xi/repository_server/import/</b>
    for example

  • Export/import with objects in another schema

    In 9.2
    I created two users: `live` and `world`
    `live`> create type nam as object (txt varchar2) not final;
    `system`> grant under any type to world;
    `world`> create type nam_world under live.nam (txt2 varchar2);
    and
    create table nams of nam_world;
    and new row
    insert into nams values ('qwerty', 'ytrewq');
    I build dump file:
    exp system/manager FILE=live_world.dmp OWNER=live,world
    All this successfully!!!
At another server (also 9.2) this export session terminated with errors:
    imp SYSTEM/manager FILE=live_world.dmp FROMUSER=live,world TOUSER=live,world
    Not help parameter IGNORE=Y
    Not help parameter TOID_NOVALIDATE=(live.nam)
In any case: "Skipping table "WORLD"."NAMS" because object type "LIVE"."NAM" cannot be created or has different identifier"
General effect, what import simply not visible type live.nam
How import tables with objects in another users schema?
    Please, help me.

    Hi Vishwanath,
You can export the objects as TPZ's
go to Tools---> Export configuration objects, to export them, and import configuration objects to reimport them.
    cheers

  • Export and Import of Configuration Data

    Hi All,
I have created a number of custom properties, structures, groups, renderers, layout sets etc and would like to move them from Dev to Test system.
I have found the following in the help doco:
"Export and Import of Configuration Data"
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/e1/029c414c79b25fe10000000a1550b0/content.htm
However I am unable to see its functionality in our portal systems (namely the Actions->Export and Actions->Import functions).
Our version of Portal is: 6.0.9.6.0
    KM: 6.0.9.3.0 (NW04 SPS09 Patch3)
Therefore we should be able to see it? no?
Are there any special settings to see these buttons?
    Cheers,
    Vic

    Thanks for your replies.
OK, so in otherwords, it is not available in SP09 and only in SP12+.
So, to "transport" this information I will have to manually reapply thes settings in the Test system!

I tried deleting the namespace after exporting and then importing.
But still i can't see it.
However in cache notification and Tools->Find Transfer it is showing that it is sucessfully imported.
I think it might be the issue with active version... can u help me out.

  • Export / import tablespace with all objects (datas, users, roles)

Hi, i have a problem or question to the topic export / import tablespace.
On the one hand, i have a database 10g (A) and on the other hand, a database 11g (B).
On A there is a tablespace called PRO.
    Furthermore 3 Users:
PRO_Main - contains the datas - Tablespace PRO
    PRO_Users1 with a role PRO_UROLE - Tablespace PRO
    PRO_Users2 with a role PRO_UROLE - Tablespace PRO
Now, i want to transfer the whole tablespace PRO (included users PRO_MAIN, PRO_USER1, PRO_User2 and the role PRO_UROLE) from A to B.
On B, I 've created the user PRO_Main and the tablespace PRO.
    On A , i execute following statement:
    expdp PRO_Main/XXX TABLESPACES=PRO DIRECTORY=backup_datapump DUMPFILE=TSpro.dmp LOGFILE=TSpro.log
    On B:
    impdp PRO_Main/XXX TABLESPACES=PRO DIRECTORY=backup_datapump DUMPFILE=TSpro.dmp LOGFILE=TSpro.log
    Result:
The User PRO_Main was imported with all the datas.
    But i 'm missing PRO_USER1, PRO_User2 and the role PRO_UROLE...
I assume, i 've used wrong parameters in my expd and / or impdp.
It would be nice, if anybody can give me a hint.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Frank

When you do a TABLESPACE mode export by specifying just the tablespaces, then all that gets exported are the tables and their dependent objects. The users, roles, and the tablespace definitions themselves don't get exported.
When you do a SCHEMA mode export by specifying the schemas, you will get the schema definitions (if the schema running the export is privied) and all of the objects that the schema owns. The schema does not own roles or tablespace definitions.
In your case, you want to move
    1. schemas - which you already created 1 on your target database
    2. roles
    3. everything in the tablespaces owned by multiple schemas.
There is no 1 export/import command that will do this. This is how i would do this:
1 - move the schema definitions
    a. you can either create these manually or
    b1. expdp schemas=<your list of schemas> include=user
b2 impdp the results from b1.
    2. move the roles
    expdp full=y include=role ...
remember, this will include all roles. If you want to limit what gets exported, then use:
    include=role:"in ('ROLE1', 'ROLE2', ETC.)
    impdo the roles just exported
    3. move the user information
    a. If you want to move all of the schema's objects like functions, packages, etc, then you need to use a schema mode
    export
    expdp user/password schemas=a,b,c ...
    b. If you want to move only the objects in those tablespaces, then use the tablespace export
    expdp user/password tablespaces=tbs1, tbs2, ...
    c. import the dumpfile generated in step 3
    impdp user/password ...
    Hope this helps.

  • Is it possible to import and export Config Toll Configuration  from one sys

    Hi All,
Is it possible to import and export Config Toll Configuration  from one system to Another system (QUS/PRD), for especific service.
Kindly let me know the pro and corn of it and step by step process
    Thanks alot for your time.
    Thanks
    AB

Yes...It is certainly possible but then you would need to bring OS level j2ee filestructure as well and there are lots of changes at OS level in *.properties file and then at configtool level changes related to hostname, system numbers and port numbers etc.
This is not much difficult but not impossible also if you do it very carefully. Please note that SAP DOES NOT SUPPORT THIS METHOD.
alternatively, you can use sapinst to export-import j2ee filesystem from source to target which inturn would require to do configtool export/import and then changes at configtool level.
Do let us know your requirement so that we cud help you in case you are facing any issues.
    cheers !!!

  • Automatic export/import of ESR object

    HI.
I want to automate export/import of ESR object.
    How can I do?
1)export the ESR object on development system
    (automatic import to QA sysytem)
2)activate the chang list on QAS
    regards,

U may perform the transport to QA using CMS. Or u may simply export the ESR objects as tpz file and import it in QA system.

  • Export / Import of BI objects

Sorry, I mistakenly posted this under BI Accelerator:
Hello. I am trying to move existing BI objects (defined in RSA1) from an internal SAP IDES demo system to an offline, standalone NW 2004s BI system that is on a laptop. Essentially I want to export the objects that already exist in the IDES system and Import these objects onto the laptop 2004s system so that I do not have to re-create them all. Could someone please give me their opinion as to the best way to do this?
I have tried the Export as XML from the Metadata Repository with mixed results. InfoObjects seem to work but an InfoCube did not due to an error with SAP object 0CALDATE. Also, when you Export as XML from the Metadata Repository you have to know all the Class ID's of the various BI objects (com.sap.bw.cwm.core.InfoObject) - how do I find out what the other class id's are, for example, ODS, InfoPackage, MultiProvider, etc.??
I have also been told that a transport saved as a file would also work.  I don't believe IDES allows transports to non - demo systems.
    Can anyone help?
    Regards,
    Anthony

Please use another forum. This is SAP NetWeaver BI Accelerator only ...

  • Exporting/importing custom library objects

    Dear,
When we made custom objects for in our library. They are available to all environments on my laptop, but not on a different machine.
Is there any way to export/import these?
    Kind regards,
    Frederik-Jan.

    Hello,
These things are stored locally on your machine.
Note: On tab Library in your LCD click right arrow to get the library menu, mark your components tab (you need to export), right arrow opens the menu where there is the "group properties..." item. Here there is a path on your harddrive. My problem is I cannot locate the path I can see here. So I have looked for a workaround.
Workaround: create a folder on your desktop. Create a component group in you Library in LCD (new tab). Go to properties of this new group, set the path to your new desktop folder. Go to the component tab where you have your custom components. Select them, use move to..., select the new component group/ desktop folder. After completing this, check the xfo files in your desktop folder. You can now send them to another machines.
Note: In the library "right-arrow-menu" there is the item "shared library location". You can use this to share the components among all the machines you need.
