Export Product Catalog

can anyone tell me which module in need to include in startSQLRepository -m ---------? for export productCatalog.
Then I have tried this startSQLRepository -m publishing -export all products.xml -repository /atg/commerce/catalog/ProductCatalog..
I got /atg/dynamo/service/jdbc/JTDataSource_production an exception was encountered while trying to populate the pool with the starting number of resources: atg.service.resourcepool.ResourcePoolException: java.sql.SQLException: Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO) exception

Hi
These are steps you need to follow
1. Identify the top level module in your ear ( this is to export all the customizations that you would have done for the catalog) and use it , do the export on the production server.
2. Point your JTDataSource to FAKEXA with the user name password and the driver url for the database user where the catalog resides
3. Make sure that the user you are using has all the necessary rights on the underlying tables , you should be able to display the tables and synonyms and triggers using that user by logging in on your database server which you are using.

  • Product catalog from mdm to crm isa

    HI MDM GURUS,
    COULD ANYONE PLEASE TELL ME THE STEPS TO REPLICATE PRODUCT CATALOGS DIRECTLY FROM MDM TO ISA (INTERNET SALES APPLICATION)
    PRIYA

    Hello,
    I wish the answer was simple and I get all the 10 points. But, I have lot more to add than just giving a report program name.
    Usually the CRM E-Commerce accesses the MDM product catalog as an external catalog. It is not customary to export the Catalog content from SRM-MDM to CRM-ISA. Instead the MDM catalog is Web Enabled for use as an external catalog by CRM-ISA. In the SRM system, the report program
    /CCM/PE_START_REG_PUBLICATION
    can be used to publish the catalog. Usually, this is scheduled as a background job to run periodically to publish the catalog.
    The E-Commerce (CRM-ISA) has Open Catalog Interface (OCI) hooks available to do this. But this needs to be configured in the XCM to access such external catalogs.
    Please read the contents in this link for a overview idea of [External Catalog Integration (via OCI)|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm50/helpdata/en/2f/86653fac7ab21ae10000000a114084/content.htm]
    Also, start from [Service Market Place - SRM|http://service.sap.com/srm] and goto SRM-MDM Catalog to know more about the catalog and see the Export process for other possibilities.

  • Best approach to creating a TOC for product catalog using data merge

    What is the best approach for creating a TOC for a product catalog (over 1,000 items) using Data Merge?
    The TOC would contain the product Categories.
    So for example, Category A items could go from pages 1 - 3, and Category B items would start at pg 4, but if new items were added to Category A, then Category B may start from pg 6.
    From the Data Source, there are 5 Data Fields I've chosen to be displayed.  If this were a regular digital print document, I could use the Paragraph Style method for creating a TOC, but if I make any one of the Data Fields a certain Paragraph Style and use that for the TOC, it'll populate the TOC with that Data Field for all the items.
    Any suggestions?

    Peter Spier wrote:
    TOC is not interactive in the ID file, though it can be in a PDF that you export (there's a checkbox to create PDF bookmarks). You might want to think about using Cross-references (rather than hyperlinks, I think) to build the TOC. You have to do it manually, but once done it should maintain itself, whereas a TOC is built automatically, but must be regenerated after you edit the doc.
    One caveat witih TOCs created from cross-references: Although changing the text of an x-ref source paragraph (for example from "Patatas and tamatas" to "Tomatoes and Potatoes,"and/or when the source paragraph flows to the next or previous page) update automatically or when invoking "Update cross-references," MOVING a cross-reference source paragraph to a location before or after another source paragraph, does not change their sequence in the pseudo-TOC. You'll need to manually move the reference in the pseudo-TOC to the correct position in the sequence of cross-refs. So, put the task of checking the order of x-refs in the pseudo-TOC on your before hand-off check list.

  • Is there any RFC for product catalog

    Hi all,
    With out using ISA, if we have to place product catalog on internet. Is there any RFC we can use.
    Priya

    Hello,
    There is no single RFC that can help you reproduce the Web Channel catalog features. The catalog module works in tandem with TREX for search and display of catalog items with attributes and mime objects. Lot of thought and resources have been input to get the catalog as it is now.
    So, I would suggest you start calling your requirement to Display Product List instead of calling catalog. The reason is simple.The moment you have that list, you will start getting requests / requirements to add more features - such as, nice display with tree structure, search capability, ability to integrate with cart, product details, etc, etc. -  quickly leading to a situation where the catalog in its current form is the solution.
    Anyway, try the function modules in the following function groups.
    CRM_ISALES_PRDCAT - is you want to read the catalog structure as maintained in the CRM system (no product details in catalog). You have to go to product master to get the product / attribute details. No search capabilities. No tree (area / sub area) hierarchies in display.
    SRAD, SRA1 - If you want to mess around reading the TREX indexes and get the information. No tree (area / sub area) hierarchies in display.
    By the way, you can still use the catalog only in the ISA - by just modifying the B2C application -flow_ and removing all the cart related features. Easier said than done. but still, I think that this exercise will be lot easier than developing a new catalog with no features
    If the purpose is to export the catalog to an external display entity, you can try the transaction COMM_PCAT_EXPORT.

  • Activate product in Product Catalog View ( via function module )

    Hello,
    I have the following problem in an ABAP program that needs to update the product catalog data:
    When I insert a product in a product catalog, it is automatically 'activated' for the catalog views were the flag 'New Objects' is checked.
    This works fine.
    However, sometimes I need to 'activate' the product in other catalog views as well.
    This does not seem to work.
    Currently I'm using the functions:
    COM_PCAT_VIEW_OBJTAB_INSERT
    COM_PCAT_VIEW_CHANGE_O
    Is there another function I should use ?
    Does anyone have experience in this matter ?
    What I also noticed, there seems to be an issue when the 'parent' of the product (for example the area ) is not 'activated' in the catalog view.
    Is there a function I can use to check wich 'catalog area's are 'activated' for a given catalog view ?
    All help is welcome.
    Thanks in advance,
    Erwin

    Shwetha,
    You can use the FM 'COM_PROD_MATERIAL_MAINTAIN_API' to update the Product Description. A brief program pseudo-logic is mentioned below
        gs_text-data-langu      = 'EN'.                                        "'EN'.
        gs_text-data-short_text = <Pass the Description'.
        gs_text-data-valid_from = sy-datum.
        gs_text-data-valid_to   = <To Date>.
        gs_text-data-logsys     = <Logical System>.
        APPEND gs_text TO gs_product_api-short_texts.
        APPEND gs_product_api TO gt_product_api.
        CLEAR  : gs_product_api,
                       gs_text.
          CALL FUNCTION 'COM_PRODUCT_FREE_API'.
          CALL FUNCTION 'COM_PROD_MATERIAL_MAINTAIN_API'
            EXPORTING
              it_product           = gt_product_api
              iv_suppress_inactive = 'X'
              it_set               = gt_set_typ
              iv_commit_work       = 'X'
              iv_enqueue_mode      = 'E'
            IMPORTING
              et_bapireturn        = gt_bapireturn.
        CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT'
              EXPORTING
                wait = 'X'.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Import products into Product catalog - WWM1 ERP E-commerce

    Hi guru's,
    Is there a standard LSMW or program form SAP to import products (XML file) into Product catalog (wwm1). We have arround 10,000 materials and it is practically hard to enter them manually.
    We are implementing SAP ERP E-commerce and are on ECC 6.0.
    Thanks
    Ram

    While lot of effort is put by SAP in a BAPI to read Catalog or Catalog Export programs, there isn't any direct program to automatically load catalog.
    We are out of luck if we don't use the automatic option in Catalog - that is to load catalog as per the hierarchy. If we have to use manual then there are no standard LSMW / programs for TCODE WWM1 to load products in catalog. We have found that the screens don't work well for a BDC type loading and hence we could not use LSMW easily.
    Now, here is the IDOC for [Product Catalog - PRDCAT / PRDCAT01  |https://websmp205.sap-ag.de/sapidb/011000358700002529571998/prdcat01_d.htm] and one for [Product Catalog Item - PRDPOS / PRDPOS01|https://websmp209.sap-ag.de/sapidb/011000358700002529571998/prdpos01_d.htm]. What do these give you? Nothing much really - you can use these as a way of input of your XML catalog data. But you still have to write your own program to load the data.
    In CRM, there are bunch of function modules when used in a coordinated way, can be used to build a loading program.

  • LR4: Issues with "Export as Catalog"

    I'm preparing my Windows  LR 4.2 installation for a significant computer rebuild. Naturally I need to be able to 'save/restore' all my catalogs, some of which are not small. Having copies of his LR2 and LR4 books for Digital Photographers, I followed the technique recommended by Scott Kelby (which is also the subject of an FAQ on this forum). Aside from the assertation that it doesn't take long (for me, it did) the export of previews, database and negatives from all folders in each catalog, to a USB attached disk, worked ok.  Except that...
    1. In trying to understand why it was so slow I looked at the structure of the exported 'file' for my largest catalog on the external drive. It seemed to be a simple copy of the .lrdata set of many preview folders plus the .lrcat folder plus the original negatives in their original folder structure. Before attempting to prove this is the case, by repeating this process using Windows Explorer file utilties, I decided to compare the original files/folders with the copies that 'export as catalog' had made. I used 'Beyond Compare' for this (a product which, in my opinion, is exactly that: beyond compare). The results were very disconcerting:
    1.1 Out of the hundreds of preview folders, in the .lrdata collection, there was not 1 single identical compare of combined folder and file in the copy. There were folders in the original which did not appear in the copy. Even worse, there were folders in the copy that did not appear in the original (explain that!). In those very few cases where there was a folder match, the enclosed .lrprev file did not match in either file name or file size. In other words the original and copy were completely different.
    Is this as one should expect?
    1.2 Overall the original .lrcat and .lrdata objects differed in size and date/time to the copy, with the originals being larger and dated/timed later than the copy, even though I had performed no library or development operation on the catalog, aside from closing it (which initated an automatic backup). What additional information has been added to the catalog after I copied it, and by whom?
    2. On one catalog the export process repored that it could find no preview data for any of the photos, even though it shows them to me when I open the catalog. In addition, the original .lrdata folder is far larger than the exported copy of that folder - 599MB versus 3MB. So the preview data is definitely there in the originals. Why wasn't it exported?
    Overall, the comparison using Beyond Compare suggests to me that a simple file copy of the catalogs and images should work - and it will certainly ensure that originals and copies are identical. Can this process be used to ensure that a valid catalog set will be produced for the subsequent 'restore' step?

    Yes, you can simply copy the whole lot and it will function the same in the new location, provided the same image files (or equivalent copies thereof) are available to the Catalog at the same filepaths in both places. I believe the previews are found using a relative filepath starting from wherever the Catalog now finds itself. So the relative arrangement needs to be preserved. Or, if previews are not copied over, the Catalog still works fine, and will generate previews automatically as you go thereafter.
    It may not be necessary to have Develop previews for every single image in the Library right at the start - remembering that previews for less recently edited images will have by default cleared themselves anyway, after a certain period.
    If the image filepaths are going to be different in some systematic way - different drive letter, different folder location - then it is easy to update LR's internal records about that; for example, through a single operation on the parent folder, one can re-address an entire tree of subfolders and their contents at the same time.
    As a database, one would expect a fresh copy written-out by Export to be optimised in terms of how the data is stored (disk block level) and also that it would be free of any accumulated redundancy (e.g., records and related indexing for items that are marked for deletion but still physically present). Perhaps this would be exactly the same as a database that had just been optimised by LR, perhaps not - the point of Export as Catalog is that this is NOT a whole-database operation, it is a SELECTIVE operation, based on whatever images have been highlighted. So the result is not necessarily ever going to be identical.
    The previews folders are not intended to be human-readable, and can IMO be therefore thought of in the same functional terms - this effectively constitutes a second database. When previews are included in an Export, this is a second brand new structure being created, even if some of the data within that is a straight transfer.

    Hi,

    Out of the box, you have a feature to export the Product Catalog - as an XML. Rest of the nice features you want are not available out of the box.
    If printing and syndication are primary and important features you want to have, then you must explore if [SAP SRM MDM Catalog|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srmmdm10/helpdata/en/44/ec6f42f6e341aae10000000a114a6b/frameset.htm] will be suitable for you. • List Price Not getting displayed in B2B Webshop Product Catalog

    Hello Experts,
    We have done all the required configuration to view the LIST PRICE in B2B Webshop product catalog.
    We have done following settings:
    1. Pricing Procedure assignment to the PRODUCT CATALOG VARIANT
    2. Initial Replication of the product catalog
    3. Shopadmin setting for List Price (radio button selection on the GENERAL Informaiton Tab)
    4. XCM Setting - No IPC
    5. For the defined variant, we have maintain an entry in the Parameter for List Prices - ZPR0 and table as CUS506 and Catalog Price type as List Price.
    6 Downloaded the required condition record from ECC to CRM with correct validity period
    But still we are not able to see the LIST PRICE. Any other change (say addition/removal of product from CATALOG areas)in the CATALOG is getting dispayed correctly in the WEBSHOP product catalog except LIST PRICE. That means we feel there is no issue from TREX perspective.
    Any other pointers will be really helpful.
    Regards
    DJ

    What are the fields for CUS506? During replication if the list price is replicated from this table then all the key fields mentioned in this table should be available during replication for this table.
    What my wild guess is that maybe this CUS506 has a field e.g say SHIP_TO or SOLD_TO etc.. Now at the time of replication.. there are no shipto or soldto hence no values/price will replicate to TREX.. hence u will see nothing in catalog.

  • Can we have a b2b webshop without Product catalog in it

    Hi Gurus,
    I have a scenario where I dont want to Product catalog on the webshop. Customers log in and just want to see the order history.
    How can I set this up.
    Please explain if this is possoble.
    Thank You

    Hi Ram,
    yes, you will have to create a catalog without products. This is because the catalog is a required field when creating a new shop in the shopadmin. Only when you use the webshop with an R/3 or ERP backend, no catalog is required at all.
    Best regards,
    Martin
