Product catalog from mdm to crm isa

HI MDM GURUS,
COULD ANYONE PLEASE TELL ME THE STEPS TO REPLICATE PRODUCT CATALOGS DIRECTLY FROM MDM TO ISA (INTERNET SALES APPLICATION)
PRIYA

Hello,
I wish the answer was simple and I get all the 10 points. But, I have lot more to add than just giving a report program name.
Usually the CRM E-Commerce accesses the MDM product catalog as an external catalog. It is not customary to export the Catalog content from SRM-MDM to CRM-ISA. Instead the MDM catalog is Web Enabled for use as an external catalog by CRM-ISA. In the SRM system, the report program
/CCM/PE_START_REG_PUBLICATION
can be used to publish the catalog. Usually, this is scheduled as a background job to run periodically to publish the catalog.
The E-Commerce (CRM-ISA) has Open Catalog Interface (OCI) hooks available to do this. But this needs to be configured in the XCM to access such external catalogs.
Please read the contents in this link for a overview idea of [External Catalog Integration (via OCI)|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm50/helpdata/en/2f/86653fac7ab21ae10000000a114084/content.htm]
Also, start from [Service Market Place - SRM|http://service.sap.com/srm] and goto SRM-MDM Catalog to know more about the catalog and see the Export process for other possibilities.

  • Create a product catalog from flat fiile

    Hello All,
I have a requirement to create a product catalog from a flat file. Basic requirement is to add products under product catalog. Further requirement can be extended to add views and add images to product catalog.
I want to know steps or function modules which will be used in order to achieve basic requirement first and then extended requirement.
Any sample example explaining the same will be more useful.
    Thanks in advance
    Madhura

By uploading images to a Product Catalog, the program below will also add the item to the catalog area specified.
    SE38 - Run Program COM_PCAT_MASS_DOC_IMPORT
It has it's own Program Information to explain how it works.
Here's the first portion of the that information:
    Title
Mass Import of Multimedia Documents for Product Catalogs
    Purpose
This report enables you to automatically import multimedia documents that are already available in a file system and assign these documents to product catalog items. The items are identified using a product number. An item is created if a corresponding one is not available.
A simple text file, which can be created using the normal spreadsheet programs or simple text editors, is used as a basis for the import.
We have used this in the past, but it has some performance issues, so experiment to be sure you don't try to upload too many images at once...it can bog down after a few batches and begin crawling.

  • Replicating Products/Catalog from SRM to MDM

I am implimenting SRM and MDM on 7.1 and SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0
I wanted to replicate catalog data from SRM. As we know each catalog record in MDM contains Product, Supplier, Info record data. I am not sure if we have to map all these in MDM or It will be mapped by SAP delivered content for replication.
I am using BBP_CCM_TRANSFER transaction in SRM to transfer data to MDM. In the selection screen I am using 'Category Hierarchy', Category ID and Language fields. I did unchek/check Force Intial Transport and P_debug. There was not much difference.
However I am getting following info messages, but unable to see any data in MDM
    16.06.2010 09:27:41: Initial transfer for catalog SRM_EXTRACTED_CTLG
    16.06.2010 09:27:42: Determine category TELEPHONE (5 products)
16.06.2010 09:27:42: Start of catalog transfer for 1
    16.06.2010 09:27:42: catalog transfer ended
I am now stuck here. Can any one share details of the replication process and steps involved.

    Hi Sudha,
Please explain your business scenario. What data you want to replicate from SRM to MDM. We can replicate Suppliers, Contracts and Product Master from SRM to MDM through XI. Make sure you hae configured XI settings for that. You have to download the pre-delivered XI content from SAP Markeplace. Please check Note # 1177779 & 1177780 regarding that.
We can use following reports in SRM to replicate following data in MDM
    BBP_CCM_Transfer_Catalog-----Product master
    ROS_SUPPLIER_SEND_TO_CATALOG-----Supplier data
    SRMMDM_CTR_Transfer----Contract data from SRM
In your case, you are running BBP_CCM_TRANSFER. Please check the SXMB_MONI t-code to monitor the XML messages whether XML files are processing correctly or getting stuck.
    Thanks,

  • Open Catalog Interface (OCI) - Is CRM/ISA ready to be an External Catalog?

I have found much information here and on help.sap.com talking about how to set up an external catalog to be part of our catalog(s). But, there is a severe lack of information to educate myself as to whether our catalog(s) are ready to be added as an external catalog to our customer's SRM system for example.
The only valuable information I have been able to find on how to be sure that our CRM/ISA Partnershop can be used by our business partners in their various (SRM) procurement systems is here:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm40sr1/helpdata/en/73/fd147fcaaf41489508aaac8e3e37b5/frameset.htm
We have a specific request that our CRM/ISA Partnershop be made available via our business partner's SRM system.  I can find no guide to help me provide the requested information without basically just guessing on my part.
This is what they provided as a worksheet to return.
I assume the following or would like additional input:
    1)  They will need a Userid and Password.
    2)  For Language, we currently only support EN.  Would I enter EN or just leave blank?
    3)  What do the following refer to?  (These are the fields as requested and their suggested value by our customer)
      ~OKCODE       ADDI
      ~TARGET       _top
      ~FORCETARGET       YES
      ~CALLER       CTLG
      HOOK_URL       (Assumed to be blank)
    4)  These are the required OCI fields they would be expecting from the our catalog, but they can accept all OCI Release 4.0 fields...Assuming the connections from the above settings are made properly, will CRM automatically provide the approrpriate detail or do I need to set something somewhere?  All the XCM/DCM config settings for OCI seem to deal with an incoming External Catalog, not outgoing.
    OCI fields
    <input type='hidden' name='NEW_ITEM-QUANTITY[1]' value='3'>
    <input type='hidden' name='NEW_ITEM-DESCRIPTION[1]' value='Descriptio'>
    <input type='hidden' name='NEW_ITEM-UNIT[1]' value='DZN'>
    <input type='hidden' name='NEW_ITEM-PRICE[1]' value='1.62'>
    <input type='hidden' name='NEW_ITEM-LEADTIME[1]' value='5'>
    <input type='hidden' name='NEW_ITEM-CURRENCY[1]' value='USD'>
    <input type='hidden' name='NEW_ITEM-MATGROUP[1]' value='44121704'>
    5)  Do I need to 'do' anything not listed above to be sure our catalog(s) are ready to perform as requested?
    Thanks for any clarification/links, etc
I've spent weeks off and on now to try to determine an answer I could feel confident in.

1/25/07 - Found a bit more info, but still need help determining if there are any additional settings/configs we need to make before starting to test with our Business Partner.

I did these steps already, but have not tested yet:
Customizing and Settings in CRM / Internet Sales
Settings for receiving purchase orders in CRM
Purchase order without reference to a quotation:
In the CRM Business Connector, an XML purchase order is received via HTTP and it is converted into a sales order IDOC. This IDOC is then transferred to CRM and is posted there.
The delivered mapping service expects a purchase order in the OLD_EBP XML format, which is transformed into a NEW EBP XML, xCBL and finally a CRM IDOC XML.
The following settings must be made in CRM:
    · Creating a partner profile for the sender
    Path in SAP Menu
    Tools -> Business Communication -> IDoc-Basis -> Administration -> Partner profile.
    Partner type: Customer
Partner number: Number of the sold-to party in CRM
Transaction code: APLI (Individual IDoc processing)
    Message type: CRMXIF_ORDER_SAVE_M
    (key fields of table EDPP1:
    -PARNUM partner number
    -PARTYP partner type)
    ·         To view CRM address management errors in the document, the parameter CRM_USER_LEVEL must be set to value 9.
    Path in SAP Menu
System -> User profile -> Own data -> Parameters.
I have asked my Basis contact to look into this portion:
    Business Connector
Install a Business Connector 4.0 or higher.
    Required packages:
    · Sap_crm
    · Sap_crm_customizing
    · XSLT (only for BC 4.0, not required for BC 4.6)
After processing the purchase order that was received first, an inactive routing rule is created that is completed and activated.
    Path in BC
BC Manager -> Adapters -> Routing -> Edit.
    Transport: ALE (R/3 IDoc)
    SAP Destination:
The ports must be activated and the service EbpXmlToRfc must be accessible before the Business Connector can receive documents.
Some CRM settings are hard coded in the transformations. They are in the file BasicOrderSettings.xsl, that are in the directory ...ServerpackagesSap_crmxsltincludesxcbl2sapcrm_xif.
    These are:
    Transaction type: TA (standard order)
Item object type: BUS2000131(sales item CRM)
Text ID under which the order text is created in the CRM order: 1000 (customer note)
Make sure that all of the available Business Connector patches are installed.
Our customer contact says they went with WebMethod instead of Business Connector, but I'm hoping we can make it work using BC without having to research yet another piece of the puzzle.
Any additional detail/advice from anyone that's set up their Partnershop to be connected to SRM EBP via OCI?

  • External product catalog integration with SAP CRM

    Hi Forum,
I want to integrate a third party Java based product catalog with SAP CRM.
Currently, ISA is being used as the front-end.The CRM has a product catalog which is being used.
In place of this I want to add an external product catalog.
This is for a B2C shopping website. The user will browse through the external catalog and the selected products should be added to the shopping basket of ISA.
I'm aware that the Open Catalog Interface (OCI) is used for this purpose in B2B using SRM server.
Is there a similar interface for B2C applications?
    Aditya Karajgi

    Hi Pratik,
I dont think you understood my question.
What I want to implement is something like Open Catalog Interface (OCI) which is used in B2B implementations.
The catalog will be created by an open source content management system.
Product categories will be created and maintained using this system.
Users will browse the catalog and select products.
These selected products will be added to the shopping basket in Webshop.
We dont want to get into the complexities of using JCo or IDocs for this.
There should be some interface which is similar to OCI for B2C applications.
Thanks and waiting for ur response.

  • Schedule changes and validity dates for prices in product catalog(SRM-MDM)

    Hello!
I'm working on a project that is going to use SRM-MDM and the question is if it is possible to schedule changes(for example to add new prices that have a validity period, can you make the changes now that are going to be valid from 1st of februari?Or can I add products today that are only going to be available to buy from a particular date?).
The other question is if it is possible to have a validity period for prices and when the date is valid, then the product is shown in the catalog. In the same way that when the date is not valid, the product is not shown in the catalog. Can this be made automactically? Can a logic be build to choose which products are going to be shown in the catalog?
Do you have any suggestions for those issues?
    Thanks in advance!

    Dear Poster,
As no response has been provided to the thread in some time I must assume the issue is resolved, if the question is still valid please create a new thread rephrasing the query and providing as much data as possible to promote response from the community.

  • Replication of Product Attributes from ECC to CRM

Hi Experts - Is there any standard functionality in CRM which serves same as Product attributes of ECC.
In ECC, Product attributes 1 to 10 can be used as an indicator to check whether the ship-to party accepts the attributes of a product. During sales order creation system will give a warning or error based on product attributes of ship-to party and material.
Let us know, if this functionality supports in CRM.
    Thanks,
    Sree

    Hello,
I have exactly the same question. Did you find out if it is possible?
I haven't found anything in the standard doc , si I guess these ECC product attributes don't have an equivalent in CRM, meaning we should use customer specific  fields on ECC side and  product "attributes" (in the sense of attributes of customized set types) on CRM side.

  • How to notify a team when Product is replicated to CRM from MDM?

    Hi All,
MDM is the back-end for SAP CRM in our project.  Product is created and replicated from MDM to CRM via XML interface for Products, it is one way replication process.  Recently we have implemented Opportunity management in which these products are being used.  For that, we have updated Sales Area and Pricing to all the products in CRM with a custom report.
Now the requirement is, when a product is created and replicated to CRM from MDM, a team should be notified about this.  So that, they would maintain the responsible sales area and pricing in replicated Product to use it in Oppt.
Could you please guide me how to map this requirement in our system.  Kindly help me with the feasibility and solution overview of the above requirement.
    Thank you in advance.

  • Replicating Product Catalog  for CRM E-commerce

    Hi All,
We have CRM 5.0 and trying to implement B2B E-Commerce. We created a product catalog in the CRM and configured XCM and shopadmin application. We created webshops for B2B. The B2b Webshops list is available.
I don´t replicate the product catalog. But after selecting any of the shop we get this error.
*The catalog that you have selected is currently unavailable; try again later *
Can anyone tell me how to solve this problem.
We have checked Trex and J2ee connection too
Is it possible access to WebShop witihin replicated product catalog?
    Thank you

You replicate your product catalog to the TREX server to enhance search functionality and scalability, and to improve system performance for your customers. You replicate your product catalog from your ERP server to the TREX server, using an ABAP Report.
    Transaction code     ISA_CAT_REPLICATION
You use the transaction ISA_CAT_REPLICATION (ABAP Report ISA_CATALOG_REPLICATION) to replicate product catalogs from your SAP ECC server to a TREX server.

  • Architecture of Product Catalog Publishing

    Hello CRM Experts,
I've created a product catalog in CRM 7.  I'm using the CRM Webclient to create my sales documents.  I thought that the catalog would be available in the Webclient but that is not the case for me.  When I go to the webclient I don't see my catalog.
We're using the CRM 7.0 system in standalone mode.
While reading the documentation I ran across this document which lists the requirements for integrating the product catalog from CRM 7 to the Webclient
    [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm70/helpdata/en/1c/12b2dc57d644d19ea3a5c4156f904f/frameset.htm]
A few questions arose after I read this.  I'm hoping you can help me with some of the details (the text in italics comes from the documentation referenced above).
You have set up a Java based CRM Product Catalog. For more information, see Creation of Product Catalogs. I'm assuming that this is referring to the regular product catalog I've setup in CRM 7.0.  Why does it say "Java Based" ?
You have set up a Web shop running on a Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) server. For more information about the configuration of the Web shop, see SAP Solution Manager  Do you know where I should look in Solution Manager?  What if I'm using CRM 7.0 in standalone mode.  Solution Manager is not involved.  I'm working on a sandbox environment
You have configured the Extended Configuration Management (XCM) settings. For more information about Extended Configuration Management (XCM) for Web Channel, see SAP Solution Manager.  Do you know where I should look in Solution Manager?  What if I'm using CRM 7.0 in standalone mode.  Solution Manager is not involved.  I'm working on a sandbox environment
You have assigned the user to a business role. The following table explains the technical names for each business role in the standard implementation: My role has Sales Professional role. I'm assuming that should suffice.
    I'd appreciate your inputs.
    Thanks

For E-Commerce with CRM, (Web Channel - E-Selling) Product Catalog is a mandatory component. CRM Web Channel provides the required User Interface for the CRM Product Catalog. For the functioning of Product Catalog in CRM, TREX is mandatory. While the Product catalog definition and product master data still remains in the CRM backend, the TREX (Index server) is used to keep the product id and some pertinent chracteristics / attributes of the product in indices, thus making the product search as a "offline" task and searches are much faster without any load to the backend system.
E-Commerce with ERP (R/3 backend) provides Product Catalog feature - but has two solutions, one search with TREX and the other without TREX. Product search without TREX are run in the R/3 backend. Unfortuntely there is no such solution with CRM.
Well, now coming to using Product Catalog with Web UI (Interaction Center), you need the Product Catalog in CRM, and hence TREX. Hope this explains.
Now, ask the Basis team to please read the [Installation Guide|https://websmp103.sap-ag.de/crm-inst] and [Master Guide|https://websmp103.sap-ag.de/~sapdownload/002007974700000372592008E/50089607_A4_CRM70SR1_130.pdf].
Here is the exerpt from [CRM Master Guide|https://websmp103.sap-ag.de/~sapdownload/002007974700000372592008E/50089607_A4_CRM70SR1_130.pdf] for quick reference by your so busy Basis team.
    3.7.2 Catalog Management in CRM
    Description
You use this business scenario to create a centralized product catalog that contains product
descriptions, multimedia displays, pricing, and associated literature. The catalog enables quick
and easy customer access to timely and personalized product information. Product catalogs are
implemented in sales processes and are of particular importance in CRM Web Channel for presenting
your products in the Web shop.
    Software Units
The following software units are required for the Catalog Management in CRM scenario:
    Mandatory:
    1. CRM Application Server ABAP
    2. CRM Application Server Java
    3. SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Search and Classification (TREX 7.0)
In the current context, there is no immediate option for 3rd party solutions.

  • Access DMS documents from MDM ??

    Hello folks
We have a customer that has SAP DMS (Document Management System from SAP ERP) where the product image files are stored on a SAP Content Server.
We are planning to implement MDM for rich product catalogue whereby end-users access MDM via Portal, but we need to access some documents on DMS too.
I know that there is standard PLM iviews that shows DMS documents linked to a Material, can we use these iviews to modify them so that they are launched on request of user after browsing in MDM iviews (managing same material numbers) ?
Has anyone of you made this ?
Any hint/help on this is most welcome !
    Thanks
    /Sooriya

    Hi Sooriya,
We can get the Product ID from MDM Standard iview through EPCF Eventing. Based on that ID, we can fetch the documents from DMS.
I am new to DMS. Can you please share some information on fetching document links from DMS through standard or APIs?
In my scenario, i have to fetch the documents link from DMS for all Master records and store the link in MDM. Also, when a new master s created in MDM, I have to attach/upload documents for the master record and store the document link in MDM. The actual document is present in DMS. When I send the newly created Master data to ECC, I have to link the Master data and the documents in ECC also.
    Your help is greatly appreciated!
