Export WAR file compilation error

Hi,
I have an application that compliles and deployes fine in JSC. However, if I try to export WAR file to deploy on the Weblogic server I get the error below. The error seems to be due to the fact that one of the JSPs resides in a subdirectory. Moving it to the main directory solves the problem, but this application will have many JSPs and I won't be able to keep them in the same directory. Is it a bug or I miss something?

Maybe I am not going down the right path,
Have you opened your build-impl.xml?
I see two different location for this file and plus the one you are saying this file is located. Is there two adminReportsMain.jsp?

  • Can't Export Movie - Unknown Compile Error - Help!

    I edited a 32 minute movie in Premiere Elements 10, and now I'm trying to export it.  At some point during the export, and it seems to vary, I get an unknown compile error.  I've been trying to export the movie for the past week and all I get is failure despite trying just about everything I've found written about how to solve this.
    I have Win 7 Ultimate SP 1 running on a Lenovo desktop machine with an Intel Core 2 Quad CPU at 2.67 GHz, 4GB of RAM, 32 bit proc.
    Premiere is installed on system C drive with 6 GB of free space.
    Project and scrach disks are on D drive with 165 GB of free space.
    Media files are on 2nd E drive with 50GB of free space.
    Project and most source material is NTSC DV -- there are quite a few photos with motion, plus some iPhone HD video on the timeline, hundreds of clips in all plus narration, a few titles, etc.
    Export destination folder is on D drive.
    Everything will render to green lines atop timeline (sometimes it quits during render and I have to keep hitting Enter to continue rendering, but eventually it's all green)
    So far I've tried:
    - Reinstalling PE 10
    - Reinstalling Quicktime
    - Copying all the photos to their own separate folder
    - Editing each photo slightly (outside of PE 10) and resaving to make sure none of the photos are corrupted
    - Emptying the temp folder
    - Deleting all the renders and cache files and letting them rebuild
    - Exporting small pieces of the timeline to try to identify a bad clip -- this is a maddening process and I did find one clip that would generate the error, but I managed to export that to AVI and reimport and replace on timeline.  It would be awfully nice if PE would just TELL ME which clip it doesn't like if in fact it's a clip error.
    - Turning off the shadow / highlight feature I had on some clips, but this wasn't the issue, smaller sections with these clips exported fine
    - Tried exporting to various formats: Vimeo SD, MPEG DV Standard, iPad Standard High Quality, AVI -- all result in the same error (the format I want by the way is Vimeo SD)
    - Rebooting the machine and turning everything off that might possibly consume memory
    This machine has never had problems exporting in the past.  One thing I did try that worked -- installed PE 10 on another (less capable) Win 7 machine, and fed it all the media via an external drive.  The other machine did the export fine (though it took a while given it is underpowered).  This is nothing more than a work around though as I don't normally have access to this machine and I'm not done editing.
    I'm at my wits' end!  What else can I do to get this movie file to export?
    Appreciate any help or clues you can provide to solve this mystery.

    Oh, that is tragic!
    I never had any issues with mine. Maybe it knew how respectful I was, having come from manual rewinds and a sync block? The Moviola was a godsend, at least for me. I am glad that I got to edit film, and on many setups, as some of that translated well to digital Video. Back when I was in film school, Video was 2" tape, and the only editing was by cutting at a 45 degree angle, and splicing the tape. There was not even deck-to-deck editing, way back then. Also, Video looked like crap, at least to my eyes. We could only use a switcher, to "edit," or do a feed to air. Looked like crap!
    As for the Lexus, I can imagine all sorts of problems. My new LX-570 requires me to "Accept," when I put it into reverse, on the rear-view monitor! At least my wife's MB does not require that, but it is a 2011 model, so maybe the 2013 models will require that the user sign off on all sorts of "stuff."
    Now, I can play Finding Nemo, for my rear-seat passengers, while driving, but the front-seat passengers cannot see it, which is just fine. When driving, I am not even a fan of hands-free calls, and declined most of the streaming stock quotes, etc. for XM/Sirius radio. NOT while I am driving. I will save that for reading the WSJ in the club at the airport.
    Some years ago, our driver in London got a new BMW 7-series, and it allowed the playing of DVD's, even in the front, while driving. Not sure that I would want that, but such is life. At least his seats' ventilation system was "well-chilled," where ours' are just air. He almost froze my bum, showing off his new auto.
    Now, working with PS, or PrE in an auto, or even on a mobile device, is just not something that I can wrap my old head around. I want a fast computer, with a big display, and cannot imagine editing Images, or Video, on any handheld (or auto) device.

  • How to export war files without including the library files

    Hi,
    I have several portlets that share the same jar files. In my tomcat, I'd like to load those jar files from shared/lib when tomcat starts up. Currently, to accomplish this, I export the war file from jsc, deploy to tomcat, then manually delete the jar files from WEB-INF/lib.
    Is there a way I can modify some property file so that my war file does not include the shared libraries?
    Thanks,
    Marc

    Hi!
    Rightclick project's root node in Projects window and select Properties. Then go to Build->Packaging and remove unnecessary libraries.
    Thanks,
    Roman.

  • Deploying WAR file gets error

    Hi,
    I am new to weblogic and am trying to deploy jsps and servlets. This is my directory structure:
    MiniEjbs --> src, build, myapp dirs

    build----> src ----> ejb's class files
    ----> META-INF-----> *.xml (for ejb)
    --->MiniEjb.jar,Miniwebapps.war
    myapp--->WEB-INF--->*.xml(web)
    --->class---> accessServlet.class
    ---> calc_num.jsp
    when I deploy the war file using console I get an error

    I created a new domain AnilRukkuDomain,but all my ejbs and client apps are in C:\MiniEjbs dir.Is this a problem for my deployment? After I deploy would my context root be myapp or do I set that explicitly? My ejbs are deployed without any problem.Will my application run if I create seperate modules and deploy individually?Is it mandatory for me to create an application?
    Kindly help me out with this. I appreciate your help.
    Thanks,

    Hello,
    Could you check weblogic.xml?
    Specifically the element jsp-descriptors.
    For example:
    One can receive the same error if weblogic.xml had specified workingDir to a non-existent directory i.e d:\foo.
    The problem was that the weblogic.xml specified a non-existent directory for "workingDir" parameter for jsp-descriptor. Check once weblogic.xml especially <jsp-descriptor>.
    <jsp-descriptor>
    <jsp-param>
    <param-name>compileCommand</param-name>
    <param-value>javac</param-value>
    </jsp-param>
    <jsp-param>
    <param-name>workingDir</param-name>
    <param-value>d:\foo</param-value>
    </jsp-param>
    <jsp-param>
    <param-name>keepgenerated</param-name>
    <param-value>true</param-value>
    </jsp-param>
    Try to comment any elements in weblogic.xml that is either not used or redundant.
    There is one CR also filed for prabably similar issue. You can get more informaiton about CR200819 from bea support.

    Hi again,
    I setup a 10G 10.1.3.1 Application Server and tried deploying my WAR file. In tomcat the WAR file deployment works fine. however in OAS I get this error and currently I'm clueless as to what causes the error.

  • Application Viewer Deployment Problem - War File Path Error

    Hello all!
    I just installed a new CC&B demo environment (2.2SP6 on Apache/Windows) and the application viewer is not working at all. The first thing it does is throw a bunch of errors, such as
    source file does not exist data/tables/updated.xml
    source file does not exist data/maintobj/updated.xml
    source file does not exist data/alg/updated.xml
    source file does not exist data/batchContro/updated.xml
    Then the App Viewer shows the following:
    Data Dictionary Not built - submit F1-AVTBL
    Maint. Object Not built - submit F1-AVMO
    Algorithm Not built - submit F1-AVALG
    Batch Control Not built - submit F1-AVBT
    To Do Type Not built - submit F1-AVTD
    Service XML Built 2008-04-14 (15:40)
    Java Docs Built 2008-04-16 (08:43)
    Cobol Source Built 2008-04-14 (10:22)
    Manually submitting one of those throws this error:
    File path to WAR file and location to expand WAR file are required if Use War File is switched.
    Anyone seen anything like this?
    Edited by: Adam D. on May 25, 2010 1:43 PM

    That worked! Thank you so much. App viewer loads now and all the F1-* items show as built. Only problem now is all the CM xml files seem to be missing. Every time you click something in app viewer it throws an error such as:
    Source file does not exist data/maintobj/ENG/CM/ext_BATCHCNTL.xml
    This is just one of them. There are many, and they all exist in that same CM directory... which doesnt exist haha
    Thanks again for the advice!

    the file class doesnt have a method called list that akes a filefilter as a parameter.
    instead there are a list method that takes a filenamefilter and a listfiles method that accepts a filefilter.

    This part of the stack is a likely cause of the issue, probably a configuration issue in your application resulting in a null pointer during the initialization.

    Hi Li,
    You can have two parallel installations of Application Server, which I would strongly recommend. One instance of 10.1.2.0.2 (upgraded to 10.1.2.2) for Forms and Reports (and maybe Portal, Discoverer etc too), and one instance of 10.1.3.2 for your J2EE code.
    If you have multiple servers, then you can cluster those OC4J's, which is great. If you have two servers, you can as well have one for 10.1.2 and one for 10.1.3 making better performance over all. However, there's no problem having both 10.1.2 and 10.1.3 on the same server.
    The 10.1.3 server can use the Web Cache (as well as Apache) from the 10.1.2 server.

    Martin

  • Verifying war file : Strange error

    Please either bundle the above mentioned classes in the application or use optional packaging support for them.
    END OF STATIC VERIFICATION RESULTS
    Thank you.
    I run javke 1.4.2 with jdk 1.5 on linux ubuntu machine.

    But the verifier shows that faces/FirstPage.jsp does not exist when it exists and also the same project get successfully deployed from creator2 without any issue to the classpath on the same PC? It is only when I manually try to deploy that I get the message.

  • Error deploying war file to Oracle OC4J

    Hi
    I am deploying a WAR file compiled under creator 2 update 1 and exported for the 1.3 environment. The WAR is to be deployed on Oracle's OC4J 10.1.2.0.2 server.
    Previously, everything worked fine, and I could deploy this war and make all the oracle config changes required to run the creator application. Now, it has stopped working. However, I can deploy another app compiled in the same way to oc4j no worries.
    When I deploy this particular WAR file (for this particular project), I get the following error:
    500 Internal Server Error
    java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Resource /faces/index.jsp not found     at com.evermind[Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.2.0.2)].server.http.EvermindPageContext.forward(EvermindPageContext.java:221)     at JSCreator_index._jspService(_JSCreator__index.java:47)     [SRC:/JSCreator_index.jsp:3]     at com.orionserver[Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.2.0.2)].http.OrionHttpJspPage.service(OrionHttpJspPage.java:56)     at oracle.jsp.runtimev2.JspPageTable.service(JspPageTable.java:350)     at oracle.jsp.runtimev2.JspServlet.internalService(JspServlet.java:509)     at oracle.jsp.runtimev2.JspServlet.service(JspServlet.java:413)     at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:853)     at com.evermind[Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.2.0.2)].server.http.ServletRequestDispatcher.invoke(ServletRequestDispatcher.java:824)     at com.evermind[Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.2.0.2)].server.http.ServletRequestDispatcher.forwardInternal(ServletRequestDispatcher.java:330)     at com.evermind[Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.2.0.2)].server.http.HttpRequestHandler.processRequest(HttpRequestHandler.java:830)     at com.evermind[Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.2.0.2)].server.http.AJPRequestHandler.run(AJPRequestHandler.java:224)     at com.evermind[Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.2.0.2)].server.http.AJPRequestHandler.run(AJPRequestHandler.java:133)     at com.evermind[Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.2.0.2)].util.ReleasableResourcePooledExecutor$MyWorker.run(ReleasableResourcePooledExecutor.java:192)     at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:534)
    Now, it seems to be that the server can't find the index.jsp page which is redirected to from the jscreator_index.jsp default file. however, the index.jsp file is there in the war file - and seems to be valid. I am not sure if it is something to do with the /faces/ mapping as I can't figure out where this is set or pointing to.
    Anyone got any pointers as to where I can look for a config issue with this WAR or with OC4J to see if everything is being set up right. Like I say, if I compile any other WAR and deploy it in exactly the same sequence of steps it works fine - something i tested by running up a quick test app to the server and checking it could be served.
    I can still deploy an older version of this war, which tells me it is to do with something that has changed in the last 6 weeks or so of our development, but I am not sure how to go about trouble shooting this war file to see what I can do to fix the issue.
    any help would be really appreciated.
    ta
    ben

    on a follow up to this, it seems that the issue was caused by the source safe product - we had got some of the project files checked into source safe, and after checking them out, the war would compile and deploy and run. i am following this up but if anyone has any pointers as to why this might be or what file (the nbproject directory specifically, plus the manifest file) would cause this sort of behavior, I would appreciate it

    hi Ciro,
    You have not created the context of your database in context.xml of your tomat (path for context.xml tomcat folder/conf/context.xml)
    Unless and until you don't create context you will get same error.

  • Aggressive JSP and TAG file Compilation?

    I get JSP and TAG file compile errors only when I touch and save the file. Isn't there a way to get these to build automatically by the NitroX builder? I'm constantly getting Jasper compile errors at runtime and having problems when I rename/refactor code that is referenced by .tag files.
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi,
    Does this happen to all of your JSP files?
    Please check these settings and update the status:
    * Is your project associated with source control or present on local drive?
    * Window > Preferences > Workbench (General > workspace) - Build automatically
    * Project > Properties > Builders
    - Java Builder
    - NitroX AppXRay Builder
    Did the behavior change due to any of the recent modification/upgrade?
    What version of Eclipse & NitroX are you using?
    * Help > About NitroX > Click on Eclipse icon - Version & build id
    * Help > About NitroX > Click on NitroX icon - Version & build id
    Thanks,

  • Error while running a report JSP in a war file from 9iAS server

    Hi,
    I've a web application archive file (war) which i m deploying to the web using OEM. The war file consists of many JSPs. Among those JSPs i have one Report JSP, which i m calling from another JSP which is like a parameter form for the report JSP. When i call the report JSP, it gave me the following error,

    The report tag in the report JSP is as follows,
    <rw:report id="report" parameters="server=repsvr&userid=scott/tiger@db">
    The report server is up and running and so is the database. This report JSP was generated from the reports builder and the opened in JDeveloper environment,in the war file project. It was then compiled and a war file was created. Surprisingly this report JSP works fine when i run my webapplication from the embedded OC4J instance for JDeveloper, but when i try to run it from the 9iAS server i get the above mentioned error. The deployment of the war file to the server is successful and the other JSPs work fine, only the reports JSP is not working. Do i need to have some settings for running the reports JSP, please advise.
    Thanks in advance

    Can you please help me in deploying jdeveloper (9.0.3.1)war file to 9iAS release 1, when I try to run, none of the jsp's execute, I get java OutOf Memory error, I also think that there may be some version compatibility between jdev jdk and 9iAS jdk.
    Thanks,
    Kavitha
