Exporting data from a html format into database

Hello:
Maybe someone can help me. I wrote a Test Stand program and save the test results in the html format everyone liked be able to access the data thru a web page but now we want to save the data to a database witch I was able to do. I need import the files save in html to the database. Does any knows how to do this or at least convert into a .txt or .csv format

Hey Toro,
Unfortunately there is no utility that will parse your HTML format files into your DataBase. This is primarily because the report files don't have all the information that is stored in the database. The data stored in the database is quite complex. So you might have to resort to manually inserting the fields, although this process is quite tedious. Also you cannot really convert your HTML files into .csv file, just because once a report is created TestStand doesn't know what data fields of the HTML file is important or not.
I'll place a product suggestion over to R&D to maybe look into creating a utility for our future releases.

  • Looking for a solution or service to export data from a dynamic form into a database

As the title of this discussion states, I'm looking for a solution or service to export data from a dynamic form into a database to be used for reporting. Creating the dynamic form is not a problem, it's getting it into a database that's more of a nuisance. A dynamic form is needed in order to provide skip logic, hide/reveal, and other similar dynamic features.
The database hasn't been created, so just looking for the easiest, more effective and dependable solution. The key is being able to run reports off the data later.

So i set up 2 residential grade routers to test this out. Seems to be working okayish. I believe with directional antenae routers I should achieve what I need.
As for security I configured each device separately. I set them so only allow the MAC address of the other through wireless. This seems to be the best system for me. Once they are connected even if a MAC is spoofed of the other router it drops automatically because they are always connected. My wired devices get plugged in and recieve an IP from my main network.
There more testing to be done, but it seems to be working.
Thanks for your input and suggestions guys. I will be marking this topic as answered.

  • Updating all the changed data from Vo based table into database

    hi,
there is a advanced table in my page and there r 14columns in it. the data for this columns is coming from 8 different tables. here the table is VO(sql query) based table.there is also a apply button on the page. when i click "apply" which is submit button, i want all the changes made on the advanced table to be captured and get updated on the respective columns in the database..
can anyone helpme out in doing this.
    Thanks
    Chandu

SQL query based VO is not updatable. You have to base your ViewObject for all EntityObjects which represent your 8 different tables.
Its good practice to base all your VO on EO, even for read-only, unless your query does not contain, distinct, union & group by clause.
Setting "updatable=false" property of EO make behavior of read-only.
Is your VO based on EO?

  • Exporting data from an extertnal source into a PDF

I have a huge problem. Our users are filling out a form using an external software. There are preset information that is supposed to automatically be exported into different dynamic text fields in a PDF document (using Acrobat Professional to create this document). The problem is that when the information is exported, and our users are opening the PDF using Acrobat Reader, the text fields contain the code used to import the information, and not the information itself. When clicking on a text field, the correct information is displayed, but once I click on another text field, the last one goes back to displaying the code.
When opening up the PDF using Acrobat Professional, all of the text fields are displaying the correct information, but I need it to work with Acrobat Reader...
Please, I am stuck.. can anyone help me? The software we are using to export the information is Super Office. Hope anyone can help me...

More specific features such as form creating / enabling / posting into
acrobat.com etc., will be the specific features of ADOBE ACROBAT ...

  • Can not export data from form tracker

    Hi there,
I have set up a lovely form for collecting data. It all comes into the Adobe Tracker and the Responses file fine.
What i wish to do is export data from the responses file into another format. I should be able to do it from the Export button on the left but it is 'blanked out' and does nothing if I push it. I can't find any details on here or the internet relating to this. And yes, there is data in the file to export .
    Hoping you can help.
    Many thanks in advance.

I have the same problem but... I created two forms for two separate purposes and have had responses to both.
One of them allows me to export the data and the other does not.
Does anyone out there have an answer for this seemingly random anomoly?

  • Export data from database table before database migration

    Hello,
We are planning to migrate our SAP ERP 6 Ehp4/NW7.01 from Oracle 11.2 to IBM DB2 v. 9.7 database. During test migrations I have established that we spend a lot of time for one particular table (COEP). Because we donu2019t have possibility to archive this table before migration I have an idea to export data from previous years from this table to the file system (using an ABAP report), delete those data from table before migration and then after migration, import back to the database from the file system.
Does anybody have any concerns or suggestions about this idea?
    Thank you for your answers
    Andrej

    Hello Andrej,
I strongly do not recommend to do so.
I am not sure whether technically this could work at all..
Even it if would work .. In order to really save time, the export and the import would have to be a dirty one (meaning the system is operational and in production). With this there is a high risk to produce inconsistencies on this table.  And you most likely will receive no support if something unforeseen happens and you end with problems.
Also  your approach (if it should work at all) , would have to be tested thoroughly by you , also protecting the table from any changes.
I do not believe that this can save any effort compared to implementing advanced migration techniques like table splitting.
On top, you would go high risk to end with an unsupported system, with not using official migration procedures

  • Exporting data from a multiple worksheet excel to oracle database.

    Hi,
Am having a very big problem,i have to export data from excel to database. My excel is havin multiple worksheet.
I thought of most of the options nothing is suiting my layout.
SQL loader ,can't use due to multiple worksheet.
HSServices can;t use because my column headings are row wise, and the excel start with a big Heading rather than having column headings.
UTL_FILE can't use beacuse of multiple worksheet, and frankly speaking i don't know how to use utl file with excel to read paticular cell in excel.
    Thanks

First of all: this is a forum of volunteers.
So no one is obliged to respond to you.
Therefore 'urgent' does not exist in this forum, and labeling your request as 'urgent' is considered rude by many. If it is really that urgent, submit a prio 1 request at Metalink.
Secondly, I don't think you thought of most of the options.
Yes, you can use SQL*Loader as you can dump each individual worksheet to a separate CSV file.
Also, you didn't consider ODBC. If ODBC in Excel is too cumbersome, you can use MsAccess to hook the Excel sheet in Msaccess, connect to the database using the Oracle ODBC driver and design an ordinary append query,
Obviously, you would need one query per worksheet.

  • SSIS 2012 is intermittently failing with below "Invalid date format" while importing data from a source table into a Destination table with same exact schema.

We migrated Packages from SSIS 2008 to 2012. The Package is working fine in all the environments except in one of our environment.
SSIS 2012 is intermittently failing with below error while importing data from a source table into a Destination table with same exact schema.

    the specified type.".
    End Error
But when we reorder the column in "Updated" in Destination table, the package is importing data successfully.
This looks like bug to me, Any suggestion?

    Hi Mohideen,
Based on my research, the issue might be related to one of the following factors:
Memory pressure. Check there is a memory challenge when the issue occurs. In addition, if the package runs in 32-bit runtime on the specific server, use the 64-bit runtime instead.
A known issue with SQL Native Client. As a workaround, use .NET data provider instead of SNAC.
    Hope this helps.

  • Import/export data from ms sql 7 to xml file in a particular xpdl format

I'm trying to write java program to import/export data from ms sql 7 to xml file in a particular xpdl format. Can anyone suggest how to do it?

  • Read data from Excel and write into oracle database

    Hi
I want  to know how can i read data from excel and write into oracle database using java.Kindly help me out to find a solution.
    Thanks and Regards
    Neeta

    Hai,
    I am suggesting the solution.
I will try out and let u know soon.
Make a coma separated file from your excel file.
Assuming that your requirement allows to make a csv file.
This file may be passed as an file object to be read by java.Using JDBC you must be able to populate the data base. You can also use String Tokenizer if needed.
You do not want to  go via sql Loader?
For reading the excel file itself do you want java?

  • Get the data  from excel and insert into the database

I want to read the data from excel file, get the data from excel and insert into the database.

You can use the Apache POI HSSF API to read data from Excel files and you can use the Sun JDBC API to insert data in database.
This has nothing to do with JSP/JSTL.

  • Load XML data from UNIX Server Directly into Relational Database Tables

Is there a way I can load data from an XML File into Oracle Tables , without having the Input XML file in some Oracle Server Directory. My XML File resides on UNIX Application server. And I need to directly load the data into Database tables. Without loading them into the Database Directory.
Also I am looking for a solution that would not load my Database much and effect other running processes. Can it be done using SQL Loader ?
Oracle Database Version is : Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64bit Production

    Thanks for your reply ,
Please would you quote an Example about : 'Load the file into that table using SQL*Loader'  (From UNIX Server) Or instance of some existing thread that relates to my situation.
The Size of the File would be about 3 GB. For a similar requirement one of my peers Code which used XMLTABLE and XPATH Approach consumed a lot of resources while running and caused the other Database Applications to slow down. Thus those guys have come up with an approach to :
Parse XML using a C Code using some STRING Functions =>  For a CSV or Fixed width .dat file and then use SQL Loader to just load the file into Tables.
This approach is efficient in terms of Resources and Time(Takes 5 mins). But I am not confident about parsing XML based on String based C Functions.
Please comment about this approach . Also if possible Suggest the best efficient way of doing this.

  • Exporting data from database tables to a XML file

    Hi,
We want to export data from Oracle database tables to an XML

Can we extract data only from an Oracle8 database, or can we
extract data from Oracle7.3 databases too ?
Any help in this regard would be appreciated.

Start by downloading the XML SQL Utility and make sure you have
the approriate JDBC 1.1 drivers installed for your database.
There are samples which will get you going included in the
    archive.

  • How to retrieve input data from a HTML form in the UTF-8 cha

I encountered the following problem with a JWeb Application:
I tried to write a JWeb-Application for OAS 4.0, that retrieves
input data from a HTML form and writes it into an Oracle
    database.
All processing should be done in the UTF-8 character set.
The problem is, that the form data retrieved by getURLParameter
are always encoded in a non-unicode character set and I found no
    way to change this.
Can anybody tell me what I should do to get the form data in the
    UTF-8 character set?

    Hi
Try set in the JWEB application's Java environment such
    SYSTEM_PROPERTY: file.encoding=UTF8.

  • Unable to export data from Web Access Data Sheet in Sharepoint to local excel or access file

    Greetings and good morning.
I'm going to start off in broad terms with this question because I'm not 100 percent sure what information to provide.
Long story short, we've got a Web Access Data Sheet list hosted in a Sharepoint 2010 environment. It is accessed and used by multiple people throughout the day. It contains several thousand line item entries. I'd call it a large data sheet.
I think the size of the data sheet is casuign some instability in the list. I'd like to be able to export a defined range of data from the list into a local excel or access file. After that, I'd delete the stuff on the Access list to improve performance.
But...when I attempt to use the Sharepoint Action bar to export - Excel locks up/crashes. If I try to export to Access, I get a similar issue.
Any ideas? Could anyone begin by telling me what other information is required?

    Hi,
If you would like to export data from Access Web Database in SharePoint 2010, you could go to Design With Access page in Settings. The url in my environment is http://sp/tt/_layouts/accsrv/ModifyApplication.aspx . Then choose the Table and export it to Excel
    or Modify it in Access.
