Exposing rest services in custom managed server

I want to know how can expose the rest sevices for custom managed server which is created from webcenter custom portal template ????

I mean that once i deployed my custom webcenter portal (including web 2.0 services) into managed server. it is possible or not to manage potal services (documents, discussions ..) through rest api using thz following URL: http://myManagedServer:myPort/rest/api/resourceIndex ????

Unable to connect to the Data Access service for this management server

Hate to raise a sleeping horse but was hoping someone might have some insight into why SCOM Report Server install is failing. I am using a domain account for SCOM 2012 R2 services in a distributive environment
with 2 management servers and 2 SQL servers…one for Ops db and one for DW db.
Install was failing on selecting the management server. Research led me to
Kevin Holman's site. I followed his doc and SPN are set per your config and can telnet to MGMT1 on 5723…firewall is off on all servers. I am a domain admin and scom.mgmt account (MSOMSdkSvc) is a local admin on the MGMT servers.

Expose REST service in PI

Hi all,
I kindly ask if it's possible to expose a REST web service with PI to be called from an external application.
I've created many scenarios in wich I created a SOAP service (from service interface) in PI and I was able to call the service from an external application (e.g. SOAPUi).
Is it possible to make the same thing exposing a REST service (the url should contain parameters).
I've seen some discussions and blogs with examples of usage of "SOAP Axis" but it seems it's be possible only to invoke an external service.
Is it possible also to create a REST web-service?
If yes could you please provide examples or step-by-step procedure?

How to convert Restful WebService (RestEasy) to EJB 3.1 Stateless session bean
In my current project we are using Restful Web Services (Resteasy) combined with Jpos and Jcard with an ISO-8583 message format. The task is to remove all the dependencies of resteasy,jpos and jcard and implement it through EJB 3.1 stateless beans for the current functionality.
I have seached / googled all over the net with regard to how to proceed but unluckily no success till yet.
Would be grateful if any one can provide any pointers / suggestions / demo code for the same.
Please Note - Its a already developed module in Restful + jpos + jcard .. is it possible to convert restful webservice to ejb 3.1 stateless beans ..using jboss server..

I figured this out...the context root is NOT the one specified in the @ApplicationPath annotation. The context root has to be specificed in the vendor-specific dd, glassfish-web.xml for example, or the default needs to be accepted.
The endpoint URI is of the form http://hostname:port/contextRoot/applicationPath/path, where applicationPath is specific with @ApplicationPath and path with @Path.

Yes, it's clear now...
I would say you will have to maintain both infrastructure for a while...
You can proxy the external web service entry points via OSB as I told you before, this way you can migrate the services from .NET to Oracle SOA gradually without affecting your customers, as they will always point to Oracle SOA, never to .NET infra.

How to create a winsow service for managed server 11g

We have just installed Fusion Middleare 11g weblogic 10.3.6 , our Admin server and managed server are on this very same server.
we are trying to create a window service for start and stop both admin and managed server, we have created a window service for the admin server followed the instruction, but how can we create a window service for the managed server?

Thanks for the post. I have already followed that document link. My problem is the DTC does not failover to Second node when I try to move the SQL Server Engine to the other Node or I do a simulate failure option.
But when I shutdown Node 1 all the services move to Node 2 without any issue.

Problem invoking webservice on weblogic managed server

I've created a web service using examples the BEA provides. When I deploy my web service on a ADMIN server it works fine. When I depoly my web service on a managed server, my client cannot find the WSDL file suppose to be located on the a managed server's uri

Custom Managed Servers

what are advantages of creating Custom Managed Servers ?
we have WC_Spaces, WC_Portlet etc etc that comes with webcenter suite. We also have default MDS created.
Why do we need to craete Custom Managed Servers and also custom MDS ? Meaning, we can always depoly our application on WC_Server.
Then why doc talks about Custom Managed Servers ?

It depends on what stuff you are going to deploy.
If you create an application which requires a lot of resources, it is wise to deploy it to a dedicated managed server which can then be tuned specifically for that application.
Another consideration might be to keep the standard managed servers as clean as possible.
If you do not deploy any custom code to the standard managed servers and something goes wrong in these standard servers, it might be easier for Oracle support to analyse the issue.
In short, for production I'ld recommend to always use a custom managed server.
For development, you might want to deploy your application in a standard managed server, but it is not recommended (you always want to develop against an environment which is most similar to production, right?)

Management server alerts

Has anyone seen this before? If so, how do you resolve it?
The System Center Management Health Service DC026218-94F0-1BDC-1FC1-BB7BD4A0A70D running on host managementserver1.domain and serving management group with id {5F201AB2-4B10-7FCC-C716-B2361102248D} is not healthy. System Center Management Health
Service is unable to process or load configuration.
I'm also getting another alert saying:
The System Center Management Health Service DC026218-94F0-1BDC-1FC1-BB7BD4A0A70D running on host managementserver1.domain and serving management group with id {5F201AB2-4B10-7FCC-C716-B2361102248D} is not healthy. Some system rules failed to load.
According to the product knowledge section of the alert, it suggests repairing the agent, however, because it's a management server, they don't have agents but rather inbuilt ones.
Any ideas would be highly appreciated.

I've seen this before and I managed to resolve it by clearing the Health Service State cache on the management server in question. If the underlying issue is due to outdated configuration, this can force the server to refresh the correct configuration. If
the underlying issue is different, this is still a good troubleshooting step to see whether or not the issue continues.
To clear the cache, first stop the Health Service (Microsoft Monitoring Agent) service on the management server. Next, navigate to the application's install folder (for example, "C:\Program Files\Microsoft System Center 2012 R2\Operations Manager\Server").
Open the sub-folder "Health Service State" and delete all of the contents. Finally, restart the Health Service. The management server will re-download the configuration from the database and repopulate the Health Service State folder.

Do SMP3.0 supports JSON based RESTful services exposed via JBOSS server??

We are working on a PoC for a customer to consume JSON based RESTful (exposed via JBOSS Server) service from SMP 3.0. We were not able to get the DataSet. the below are the steps which we performed and the respective result.
1) Created a SMP Application - Able to ping the application with the base URL
2) Tested the connections - Able to create a Registration using Firefox POSTMAN client
3) Data Consumption from the service - We are not able to get the response for the service when we try the same via SMP,but we are able to get the data when we try the REST service URL directly from the browser.
How do we achieve this? Do SMP3.0 support JSON based RESTful service? Can Integration Gateway Help?

hi Jitendra,
attached are the screen shots of both SMP service from postman we tried and the original service from the browser.
1- postman ping for SMP URL and header says success.
2- Response body with entity set structure and empty data there is no data inside the collection named "Connection" as well and if i call this i fails with 501, that not implemented, so i guess SMP3 is unable to create the entity set out the JSON REST services while converting it into Odata service internally.
3- i can view data if run directly the REST service from browser.

Expose Orchestration as RESTful service in Biztalk Server 2013

I want to expose this orchestration as RESTful service, to do that I know we can use BiztTalk WCF Publishing wizard and select "WCF Web Http" but what needs to add in other fields ? can some one tell me ?

Hello! I'm trying to configure Azure Pack to use Service Bus for Windows Server 1.1 with Custom DNS.
All runs on one virtual machine (Windows Server 2012 R2) in Windows Azure.

According to the log, it seems that the validation process of the certificate failed.
Please make sure that the certificate is installed in the client properly.
Usually, self-signed certificate should be installed in the Computer Account-->Trusted Root Certificate Authorities.

Service Manager data warehouse management server Installation fails

In Virtual Machine Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard with my user being a Local Admin and SQL Admin. I tried to do a Service Manager data warehouse management server
first installation I am facing the following image as error:

Has anybody successfully used a WebLogic 6.1 SP1 managed server that

This is precisely what we want to do, but it's not working. In this
case, we need to run the admin server and managed server on the same
machine, but we need the managed server to run SP 1 to work around a
bug in SP 2. So to our initial installation of WebLogic 6.1 SP 2,
where I run the admin server, I added a second installation, this time
WebLogic 6.1 SP 1, with a different BEA_HOME. When I start the
managed server from this second installation, I can see from the logs
that it is starting up correctly as 6.1 SP 1. But then it fails with
a ClassCastException when connecting to the admin server (I have
included the stack trace below). This seems typical of version
compatibility problems I've had when I've tried connecting to a server
with a client of a different version.
But in this case, you are supposed to be able to have the managed
server with a lower service pack. Does this work for anybody? Has
anybody encountered the problem I'm having? Note that the servers are
not clustered, if that makes any difference, and we have a custom
security realm in addition to the default file realm (though "system"
of course is in the default file realm).

Has anybody successfully used a WebLogic 6.1 SP1 managed server that

BPEL service(SOAP) expose as RESTFul Service through OSB

I am trying to invoke simple HelloWorld BPEL process exposed as SOAP Web Service through OSB as RESTFul service but always getting XML parsing exception in response action.
Could any body give me steps how to implement it?

Thanks for your reply. I was able to manage to get xml, is there a simple way with simple steps to use JSON? If you have any steps/screenshots I would appreciate.
