ExtensionsFilter with t:inputHtml
Hi all,
it looks like my extension filter is not configured well to make my tomahawk inputHtml work. When I try to open the page, I get the following 500 error:

Having trouble with Tomahawk inputHTML
I'm having weird results when trying to use the Tomahawk <t:inputHTML> tag. It throws malformed control objects all over the screen. In the Javascript error console, I get the error: "myFacesKupuSet is not defined" and "myFacesKupuReactivateDesignMode is not defined."
I'm either missing a library or I have a library that conflicts with Tomahawk. Other Tomahawk tags work fine.
My recipe is:
GlassFish 2.1. (This runs the RI JSF not the MyFaces version)
Facelets 1.1.14
Tomahawk-1.1.9
IDE is NetBeans 6.7 (I don't think that's a factor).
I've tried to find the "Kupu" library but it doesn't seem to be available anywhere as a separate item. Also the outfit that originated it (www.oscom.org) seems to be out of business.

For anyone else looking at this: When I figured out the right filter settings, I found I had to import two Apache commons libraries I didn't have before: commons-io and commons-fileupload. -

I try with exadel but i find it bit intuitive....I don't know JSF, but it appears you haven't included part of your application - the one causing the error with the line: #{MyBean.retrieveblob}
I would assume the error is that you instantiate the bean with the name "myBean" (<jsp:useBean id="myBean" class="giu.MyBean" scope="request"/>) then refer to it as "MyBean". Java is case sensitive. -
Threading problem during File Upload with Apache faces upload tag
First I am going to tell you "My Understanding of how JSF Apache Upload works, Correct me if i am wrong".
1) Restores View (to show Input box and Browse button to facilitate users to select a file for upload)
2) Translates Request Parameters to Component Values (Creates equivalent components to update them with request values).
3) Validates Input(Checks to see whether the User has input the correct file)
4) Updates Backing Bean or Model to reflect the values.
5) Renders response to user.
I am uploading huge files of sizes 400MB and above with the help of JSF apache extensions tag

The upload process is working perfectly fine.
Now coming to the problem:
Suppose one user is logging into the application & uploading say 400MB of files.
Until these files are linked to the model objects as my understanding of step 2, if second user tries to open the application he gets stuck with the loading page.
The page gets loaded only after the request files are linked to the component values(Step 2 above) and updates the backing bean's values.
I don't see any error in the logs. User is getting stuck. The user is getting stuck only when uploading the files. The other operations like searching are not blocking any other activities performed by the user.
Server used: IBM Application Server V6.0. CPU is normal, memory usage is normal.Dear friend,

Problems with combination of ADF Faces, Tomahawk, Facelets and MyFaces

I am trying to combine all things named in the Subject and run into several problems:
1. ADF Render Kit forces the Tomahawk Components to be rendered in a wrong way or stop there functionality.
Example 1: The clickable parts of the t:dataScroller Tag can not be accessed because an empty a Tag will be rendered after the outputText.
Example 2: The t:commandSortHeader Tag can be clicked but the table content will not be sorted anymore.
The given examples works if i remove the default-render-kit-id element from the faces-config.xml
2. The ad:table Tag runs into an ClassCastException, only when I put a simple example code snipped into my xhtml file.

Inside our fusion applications(ADF/Webcenter) using combination of JSTL and ADF Faces is good practice or pitfal?
To suggest a a rule of thumb: Try ADF Faces on-board functionality first before reaching out to JSTL. The difference between JSF in general and JSTL is that the JSTL expressions are evaluated at page compile time wheras JSF expressions are evaluated deferred. This difference may have an impact to PPR refreshes and the data rendering (which in many cases I assume you can fix by setting the ADF Faces component content delivery to immediate instead of deferred). On a training slight I flagged JSTL with a "heads up" alert because of this

Problem in Tiles2 intrigation with jsf when we keep jsp in folder location
I have download “myfaces-example-tiles-1.1.10” from official apache web site. As it is code and I hvae create new one application it is working fine with java 1.5 and tomcat 6 in my eclipse.
This example keep jsp file page1.jsp in root folder when we move this file in any other folder it geives error.

Setting iTunes prefs -> Advanced simply sets the locaion of the iTunes Music/Media folder. It does not set the location of the iTunes folder, which the default location is \My Music\iTunes\. This contains the library files, which tells iTunes where/what everything is.
We have drive space for 'personal' use on the C Drive. This is where I keep my itunes folder,
Is this the \iTunes\ folder an in it is the iTunes library.itl file, iTunes music library.xml, iTunes media folder, Artwork folder, Previous iTunes libraries folder and a few other files?
If so, hold Shift and launch iTunes. Select *Choose library* and select the *iTunes library.itl* file in this folder.
iTunes will not create an iTunes folder in \My Music\. -
JSF Visual Editor does not work with Tomahawk 1.1.3

i am using JDeveloper 10.1.3.0.4 (SU4) with tomahawk 1.1.3 and myfaces-core 1.1.3.
All Tomahawk components that need the extensions filter to be rendered properly cannot be displayed
in the UI Designer anymore (e.g. Calendar). More painfully: all compontents in the container that comes after the component
that failed rendering will not be rendered too.
I have enabled JSP Visual Editor Preferendes 'Show Design Time Messages in Log' and got the following
exception:

But the ExtensionsFilter is configured correctly - all works fine when running the page.
A little help was to disable the ExtensionsFilter Check in web.xml

to work with myfaces-1.1.1 and the newer versions in jdeveloper i have changed the tlib-versionS for myfaces-impl-1.1.3 and tomahawk-1.1.3 so that they differ from the 1.1.1 libs.
then i registered the JSP libraries tomahawk.tld from tomahawk-1.1.3.jar, myfaces_html.tld and myfaces_core.tld from myfaces-impl-1.1.3.jar
then i have created a user library containing myfaces-api-1.1.3.jar and myfaces-impl-1.1.3.jar
on a new created JSF i allways have to manually remove the jsf-impl.jar from WEB-INF/lib directory because it conflicts with myfaces.

I new to the world of JSF and im presently playing around with MyFaces Tomhawk implementation.
I tried the tree example using tomahawk.jar ,myfaces-api and myfaces-impl.
I was able to get the tree working with these version of jars.
But now when i upgraded to the latest jars i.e
myfaces-api 1.1.3
myfaces-imple1.1.3 and
tomahawk-1.1.3
I'm getting the following error...see the stack trace below:

Jsf 1.2_08 gives me blank page when i use h:panelGrid with binding attribut
I am using jsf 1.2_08 (Mojarra 1.2_08-b06-FCS) + jstl-1.2.jar + Apache Tomcat/6.0.6 + jdk1.5.0_08 on linux suse server. when i load a jsp page with a h:panelGrid, i get a blank page
my panelGrid is as follows

I want to use JSF with facelets and tomahawk...
I have a standard facelets configuration like the demo on their website...
But at the moment, there is a tomahawk component in one of the pages I get the following error:

I googled the entire internet (two times), but nothing helps...

Hi guys,
i've a jsf application and i've tried to improve its layout with Tiles of Struts and everythings work,infact each page has its layout fixed.
I've used one header,one footer,one left menu(for quickly navigation and language selection and personal content of each page.
My question is:
if i navigate throught my application it's ok,when i use quickly navigation on left menu it's ok.
The problem is when i click on buttons that performs not only navigation,but also java logic,i've this exception (but the operation requested,as insert in database,delete etc...are done!!!!)

If your not to far into your project, I strongly recommend Facelets, it is very simple to include other JSF files and the syntax is XML formatted which allows Exadel Studio 4.0 to check your pages.
You'll need to change you actual page extension to .xhtml, which Exadel Studio handles nicely...
Tiles is just a waste of time when combined with JSF... -

It's weird that after adding Facelets, page doesn't ignore commented lines with <!-- --> anymore.That is a Facelets gotcha; for whatever reason Facelets interprets that you want the comments to be included in the resulting HTML. Perhaps <ui:remove> will be suitable, but I can't remember off the top of my head if it tries to parse its contents into the component tree. -
