External flvs playing in the same component

I'm trying to create a video gallery for a website I'm
creating for a client. You can check the site out at
www.leilahstar.com. The concept of the video gallery is similar to
the picture gallery except when you rollover on the video
thumbnail, the thumb itself will switch from it's ".jpg" still
picture to it's ".gif" giving the user a looping 3 second preview
of the actual clip without sound. Once the user finally clicks on
it, the flv file should play in the framed pane. Can you please
give me a possible solution to make it work asap?

Playing two FLV's at the same time

Hello,
OK, this seems like it would be simple, but I cannot get it
to work. I have 2 flv's that have to play at the same time - one is
a prof. in front of a electronic microscope and the other is the
actual feed from the microscope - so I need them to be able to be
controlled by one set of components. So, I have tried everything in
my ability. Currently, the setup is as follows:
I have 4 layers
Actions - where this script resides
myVideo.playPauseButton=myPlayButton;
myVideo.seekBar=mySeekBar;
myVideo.volumeBar=myVolumeBar;
Player - play/pause, seek, and volume bar reside
Scope - FLV of microscope
TH - FLV of talking head
Both my Flv's have an instance name of "myVideo" and when I
test the swf, only the last layer plays and is controlled (if the
Talking Head is in the last layer that will play and vice versa).
I cannot figure out, nor find anything, anywhere on how to
control both these FLVs with only one comonent.
Any help would be appreciated.

Playing more than one FLV will result in more than one
NetStream object. Each NetStream object plays independently. Add to
that each progressively downloads separately so one may begin
playing before the other. Attempts to seek a point in the videos
will also be unpredictable unless cue points where added during
encoding. But then playing from the cue point is unpredictable.
The best plan for video like this might be shorter lengths or
combining into one.
You can combine the raw video files in Premier or Windows
MovieMaker and then publish and then encode one FLV.

Difference in using the same component made in mxml or action-script

I made a sample project to show a kind of bug in the SuperTabNavigator component of FlexLib
In this sample you can see that using the same component (made in both mxml or action-script) can make a difference

Here is what i've posted :
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a button to dynamically add new tab with icon on a SuperTabNavigator
2. Click on this button to add new tabs
What is the expected output?
- The expected output is tabs added without abnormal behavior
What do you see instead?
- Every time a new tab is created the one who had the focus has its content
(icon + label) moving from the top-left of the tab to its original position
Please provide any additional information below.
Configuration:
- Flex Builder 3 in Eclipse
- FlexLib 2.3

There is two type of tab, one in action-script and one in mxml
They both are equal
- Adding a new action-script tab to SuperTabNavigator works fine
- Adding the same tab but an mxml one doesn't
- Adding a new action-script or mxml tab to TabNavigator works fine
-> meanings that the issue comes with SuperTabNavigator
- Adding a new mxml tab to both SuperTabNavigator and TabNavigator at the
same time makes TabNavigator to get the same bad behavior
Remarks:
- Tried everything but i'm really stuck
- Weirdly, removing the PopUpButton correct the issue
- In the same way if you keep adding action-script tab it automatically scroll to the
last tab. And if you do the same with mxml tab then it add the tab at the end and
scroll to the first one.
=> what could be the difference between using action-script or mxml object ?

class to communicate with JavaScript. JavaScript can then popup the
media player very easily like this:

I want to display a view in a popup window, I know how to do it using interface view of an external component.
But Is it possible to open a view of the same component in a popup window?

Hi,
Create a window in you component, say MyPopUpWindow.
In Runtime Repository, Attache the view of your component to this window.
Now create a Component Usage , Say CUXyzPopUp , for your component as used component and use MyPopUpWindow in there. Always use F4 for attaching views, windows and attaching window to Component Usage.
You are done !!
Now use the usual code for creation of popup using this Component Usage.
reuse_popup = comp_controller->window_manager->create_popup(
iv_interface_view_name = 'ZCOMP/MyPopupWindow' "#EC NOTEXT

Swf music files play at the same time.

I have several swf songs on my site but opened in a browser all of the songs automatically play at the same time. In properties, each song's auto and loop boxes are not selected. Any ideas?

Nano 6 gen will not play at the same time it is charging

My Nano 6 gen will not charge and play at the same time via USB on a windows computer. It has in the past, but now it will only charge and be recognized to the computer as an external drive. If I "eject" it, it stops charging. Not sure what to do.

Is it set to Manually manage music, or Enable disk use, on the iPod's Summary tab in iTunes? If so, it will not operate as an iPod (when connected to your computer's USB port) while it is recognized by iTunes (and Windows). It is acting as a storage "disk."
However, if you eject the iPod (using the button next to the iPod in iTunes) and leave it connected to the USB port, if should only receive power from the port. It should then operate as an iPod. It should also continue to charge, if it is not fully charged already.
In the past, you probably had it set to automatically sync, instead of Manually manage music, with disk use NOT enabled. Then, the iPod would operate as an iPod when connected, except during the time when iTunes syncs the iPod.

Hp pavilion g7; speakers and headsets playing at the same time suddenly.

When i woke up this morning, I found out that my speakers and headsets are both playing at the same time. It did not do this before and I've been really stumped in finding a fix. I have gone through most the the related threads about this online but none of the fixes have worked for me not even system restore.

2 videos playing in the same page

Hi All
I've got a new issue, I have a page with 2 animated graphs (as MP4). It seems that there is a conflict to auto play the both video, because one appear with a skin controler (not asked to) + the video stop before finishing to play.
I've test by deleting the second video... Then it works....
How do you manage to have 2 videos in the same page ?? do you have the same problem?
I want to avoid Jpg Sequences as they are much more heavy

Apple does not allow playing multiple videos at the same time. they are
affraid your ipad will crash vecause of it's limited memory
never tried multiple videos after each other.

How to use the same component in different applications

Hi All,
I need to use the same component in different applications. i.e In opportunity, Quotation & Promotion.
The Search help view in the component PRD01QR should be used in all these components but with different search criteria.
With help of the DO_determine_configuration, different view configurations are possible but Different search criteria is not possible.
for Eg. search parameter without DDLB, F4 options in another components.
How can I control the behavior of the search view in different applications with restricting the field properties?

How do you stop multiple Youtube videos from playing at the same time?

As of a few days ago, when I click on a youtube video, as the commercial begins to play, you can begin to hear multiple/different commercials playing at the same time. After the commercials, the same issue occurs with the main video--multiple videos are being played at the same time and are not in sync. I've updated all my plug ins and have tried the suggestion posted in the forum provided in the link below in which someone else has expressed the same issue, but nothing has worked so far. Does anyone know what can be done?

Are you loading those videos as Flash or HTML5? It is possible to prevent videos from playing until you click something with Flashblock for Flash or Stop Tube HTML5 for HTML5. You can also stop the commercials with Adblock Plus with an Easylist subscription.

Multiclips and multiple audio tracks playing at the same time

I've only just taken delivery of my first ever mac (only ever used PC) with FCP, and I'm loving it already! Done lots of reading and viewing of video etc etc, and it's not as daunting as I thought it might be. I have one question the books don't seem to answer, and I can only find one reference to this on this site, with no definitive response. FCP5 probably doesn't work this way, but just in case someone knows different......
I film and edit motorsport (karting) programmes for television in the UK, using multiple cameras. I usually lay all the video and audio tracks on the timeline, (synched) lock the audio for each (as it is engine noise, and I want it playing without abrupt changes at cuts as each kart passes each camera, whether in shot or not) then cut the video tracks and delete those video segments not required.
The most exciting aspect of FCP5 for me is the multiclip editing facility, which I have found very easy to learn and is going to save me hours of work! However, I want to know if there is a way of having each audio track from each camera used in the multiclip laid down on the timeline when you import the multiclip to the timeline from the viewer, in order that I can play each audio track from each of the cameras at the same time.
I know how to cut from angle to angle, leaving the audio from the selected angle as the one audio track playing, but I want all of the tracks to appear in the timeline and play at the same time. I know there's a bit of a workaround by locking the video and importing each audio track from each clip independently, but if you do have to re-synch one of the multiclips, this means the audio is not then synched with the original clip, which will have had an in point set before being imported in as part of a multiclip.
I can understand why you might want to keep audio from one camera only playing over the whole multiclip, or to switch between audio from each, but in my case I prefer all audio to play at the same time. The workaround is still do-able for me as I'm only talking about engine notes, which if they are a few frames out is not very noticeable at all, but I would like to know if I'm right in thinking I cannot do it the way I would like to?
Wish I'd used FCP from the start, but glad I've got it now.....especially with the 30 inch screen! It's 4.40am, been going over 19 hours straight and I'm still making comments like...."WOW, that's brilliant"...every half hour!

Is the playlist in your iTunes library, or is it already on the shuffle (as a playlist)?
If you created one or more playlists for your shuffle in your iTunes library (with the songs in the desired playlist order), you should set up automatic syncing. Here's how to do that, if you have not already...
NOTE: If the iTunes sidebar (along left side of window) is not visible, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.
Select the shuffle in the sidebar, under DEVICES. Near the top of the window, there is a bar of buttons, starting with Summary. Click Music next to Summary. This is the shuffle's Music screen, where you tell iTunes how to sync songs. (Sorry if you know this already...)
Check the box for Sync Music. Below that, choose the option to sync Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres. In your case, find and checkmark those playlists you want under Playlists. When you click Apply, the songs on those playlists and the playlists sync to the shuffle.
When using your shuffle, the default playlist that you are using is the All Songs list. To play songs in order, the shuffle's power switch needs to be set to the play-in-order (middle) position. However, if you are playing from the All Songs list, the songs play in alphabetical order.
To play from a particular playlist that is on the shuffle, you need to use VoiceOver to switch to that playlist. This document explains how to set up and use VoiceOver on a shuffle

Not sure what your question has to do in respect to Apple networking, but if you're asking can you use your Xbox 360 on a wireless network (regardless of the router's manufacturer) to access different Xbox Live! accounts, then the answer is yes.

This happens not just with the SSD in my Mac Mini, but with another SSD in my MacBook (both now running Mavericks). So far as I know, all of the kit I am using is in good order (despite the file corruption reports). So I am beginning to wonder if it could be due to a bug in Mavericks? Both SSD drives have been formatted to MacOS Extended (journaled) format. Should I have used a different format, I wonder?
Has anyone else encountered this issue?
Does anyone have a solution?
Or an explanation that might help my investigation of the issue?

I understand that the Corsair Force 3 is not one of the SSD drives that are supported on Apple Macs.
I did try downloading and using Trim Enabler, but the error message came up both when it was off and when it was on.
I understand that not everyone thinks Trim Enabler is a good program, though there is a new version out now, so I may give it another try.
