External LOV Problem

Dear Users,
I have defined an external lov and attached this lov to a field on the page.
While creating the external lov I 've tested the query on the database and it was returning rows. I tested the query in JDev as well while creating the external lov and it passed the test.
When I have run the page and when I am trying to select the value from the LOV it is returning zero rows. Message is no rows to display.
But when I am executing the query in back end is returning rows.
How to debug this problem.
Kindly please help me to resolve the above issue.
Many thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
Arun Reddy D.

Hello Anand,
Thanks again for your reply.
What is the change you have done ?
Previously my query was extracting assets from Book A1. I just changed the value to Book B1.
Make sure attribute mappings are correct of the LOV VO.
I cross checked the attribute mappings again and all are correct.
Make sure that there are no bind variables in the LOV VO. Otherwise you need to execute the VO programatically.
There are no bind variables in the query. It is a simple SQL Query
Query is as follows:
select a.ASSET_ID,
a.ASSET_NUMBER,
a.DESCRIPTION,
b.cost,
l.location_id,
l.segment1,
l.segment2,
l.segment3,
l.segment4
from fa_additions_v          a,
fa_books                b,
fa_asset_keywords       k,
fa_distribution_history d,
fa_locations            l
where b.asset_id = a.ASSET_ID
and b.date_ineffective is null
and b.book_type_code = 'B1'
and k.code_combination_id = a.ASSET_KEY_CCID
and d.asset_id = a.ASSET_ID
and d.date_ineffective is null
and l.location_id = d.location_id
When you open the LOV window and search for some data, are you not getting any data ?
Yes you are right. When I am searching the LOV there is no data.
Create a LOV CO and in the processFormRequest of this CO, get the query using vo.getQuery() and check.
I did this and it returned the same query which I have given above. when I am executing this query in back end it is giving data.
Kindly please help me in resolving this issue.
Many thanks in advance.

  • Possibly mundane Mini-DVI to VGA into an external monitor problem

    Hi,
    I've had a look over the interwebs regarding my problem and it seems as if it's not unusual to have external monitor problems but I'm not sure if mine is slightly different:
    I had a perfectly working set up with my new Macbook (the white one, '06 model I believe), that was connected to my Hanns-G HU196D monitor via a mini-DVI to VGA adapter, no problems whatsoever. But for a couple of weeks now my Macbook just flickers a light blue colour, with nothing at all on the monitor, and my macbook is unusable until I remove the adapter. I've read about updating firmware but I can't see my desktop once the macbook is connected to the monitor so it's not possible to configure anything. I've read somewhere that my external monitor isn't compatible with this set up, but it was until a couple of weeks ago!
    My Macbook's 4 months old now and since then I've bought a new mini-dvi to vga adapter and a new VGA cable, no connections seem loose on either mini-dvi port or my monitor's vga port.
    Thanks if you can help!
    Jack

    You will need to use a mini Dvi-dvi and a dvi-svideo/rca adapter.
    Joy joy hallelujah.
    Pardon the sarcasm...I just wasted 3 hours of my life trying to sort the issue out.
    Heard a KWORLD PlusTV PCTOTV Converter SA235 USB 2.0 Interface would sort the issue out for under 40$ but it's not Mac.
    Hope that helps.

  • Unable to get AM object of an External LOV Region in CO of the Main Page.

    Hi ,
    I have a requirment to add dynamic where clause to a LOV VO.
    LOV field details:
    =======
    External LOV region is attached to the field.
    No Controller
    External Region Lov region has one AM attached.
    The LOV AM is not extended in the Main Page AM.
    Can anyone please suggest how to access the LOV AM in the Main page Controller...so that I can access the VO attached to the AM and set the where clause as required.
    Below are the solutions i have tried to implement. But was unsuccessful
    1. LovAMImpl XxLovAM = (LovAMImpl )pageContext.getRootApplicationModule().findApplicationModule("LovAM");
    2. Extended the Main Page AM (root application module) and extended the LovAM .
    3.OAWebBean regionbean = webBean.findChildRecursive("LovRN");
    LovAMImpl xxLovAM = (LovAMImpl)pageContext.getApplicationModule(regionbean);
    In all the above mentioned solutions, Lov AM object was null.
    It will be a great help if anyone can suggest any solution for the same.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Raja

    Hi Raja,
    Try this code. Recently i had the same requirement. I was able to achieve it through this piece of code.
    OAApplicationModule oam =
    (OAApplicationModule)am.findApplicationModule("XxVacancyLovsAM");
    if (oam != null) {
    } else {
    oam =
    (OAApplicationModule)am.createApplicationModule("XxVacancyLovsAM",
    "oracle.apps.irc.lov.server.VacancyLovsAM");
    OAViewObject IrcVacancyOrganizationLovVO =
    (OAViewObject)oam.findViewObject("IrcVacancyOrganizationLovVO");
    if (IrcVacancyOrganizationLovVO != null) {
    IrcVacancyOrganizationLovVO.setWhereClause();
    Write this before Super in Process request.

  • Serious external drive problems after installing Mavericks

    OK, so now I am seeing multiple external drive problems. Here is my setup: A GTech 4TB drive connected to MacBook Pro via Firewire, formatted of 2 partitions of 2TB each (called GT1 and GT2). This is then daisy chained to two WD drives of 2TB each, called WD1 and WD2.
    After installing Mavericks everything worked fine (in fact I have an amazing speed increase). However, after restarting my machine this morning I have the following issues:
    The GTech is now a single partition called MyBook (obviously a hangover from the WD drives. I suspect the WD drive managment software) with NO data files. Interestingly it shows the following USED 1,106,870,272 bytes (1.11 GB on disk). This suggests that one of the partitions has disapeared completely.
    Whilst WD 1 launces ok, WD 2 causes the Finder to relaunch whenever selected, meaning I can't get to the files. I remember having this problem before when I upgraded to SL, and it having something to do with hidden files that needed to be deleted via the terminal. However, I have searched the web and can't find the solution again.
    Given that WD 1 and 2 are my backups of GT 1 and 2, then I now have a situation where I cannot access my primary or backup files for GT 2. Very impressive - not!
    Can anbody remember the hidden file solution for the finder relaunch?
    Can anybody help me get back my GT1 and 2 partitions (as they have the latest work on them)?

    FIrewire & Thunder bolt drives are having issues with Mavericks, avoid same until a fix is issued if you can.
    many are reporting same, there is a firewire fault and TB HD on external HD from LaCie (Seagate) and from WD especially.
    Technicians are looking into it.
    Until there is resolution, consider setting up a USB ext. Time machine HD.
    Until then consider confining Mavericks use with USB HD.
    Ive tested a very long line of USB HD on Mavericks, all seem fine.
    Recommend anyone DO NOT ATTACH any WD MyBook externals (firewire, thunderbolt or otherwise).
    I dont have same to test, so I dont know if the problem is in the firmware on the SATA bridge or if its a problem with the WD software

  • External LOV Return Items

    Dear Members,
    I have developed an OAF Page which has the below details:
    *1/ Employee Number*
    *2/ Salary*
    *3/ Hire Date*
    *4/ Job Title*
    I have created these items in Advanced Table Region.
    I've also created an external lov. The query of the external lov is as follows:
    SQL> select employee_number, salary,hire_date,job_title from emp;
    Now I have attached this external lov to the Employee Number field. I have also created an lov map and returned the employee_number to the Employee Number field in the page.
    Whenever user clicks on the lov of employee number, it successfully displays all the employee details and when user selects any employee_number it successfully returns as well.
    But my requirement is when user selects the employee number from the lov, I also want to return the salary,hire_date and job_title details to the respective fields of the OAF Page.
    To achieve this requirement do we need to attach the external lov and create mappings to each and every field in the page or is there some other way?
    Please help me to resolve this issue.
    Many thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Arun Reddy D.

    Dear Members,
    I achieved this requirement by creating new lov mappings under Employee Number field.
    Now it works without any issues.
    Apart from this if there is any other way please let me know.
    Best Regards,
    Arun Reddy D.

  • Beats audio android app external sound problem.

    Hey guys,
    Recently i downloaded the Beats Audio Android app for my Optimus 2. At first it worked fine, the external sound was good, as well as the headphone output. Very shortly after the external sound became very fuzzy and loud, with the headphone output still working perfectly. The only feature that would play sound without fuzz was speakerphone while in a call. I decided to factory default my phone thinking it would fix the problem, i was already going to do it anyway. Come to find out everything got wiped including beats audio, but the same old external sound problems persisted. I'm not sure how to fix it and it is very annoying and sometimes randomly goes off. Help is greatly appreciated, thanks.
    -Tyler
    Maybe it has something to do with the master volume? Although i'm not sure how to access that either..

    Hello,
    I see that you are having trouble with the beats audio app on your phone. I would suggest that you post your issue here as well for assistance. The link will take you to the android forum for your phone.

  • Set external lov dynamically

    Dear OAF pioneers,
    I have the following :
    1. LOVAM (AM)
    2. 2 external lov LOV1 & LOV2 in LOVAM
    VO1 for LOV1
    select meaning, lookup_code
    from fnd_lookup_values
    where lookup_type = 'XXHR_MISSION_TYPES'
    VO2 for LOV2
    select meaning , lookup_code , substr(lookup_code, 1, 2) type_code_map
    from fnd_lookup_values
    where lookup_type = 'XXHR_MISSION_CLASSIFICATIONS'
    The column 'type_code_map' in VO2 is equivalent to 'lookup_code' in VO1
    3. Custom Page with different TRAVELAM
    4. Calling the LOV from point no# 2
    I need to set the where cluase of LOV2 depending on the LOV1 Value , So when ever the user select from LOV1 a value, the value of LOV2 should be filtered accordingly.
    Please help.
    Regards...ShoooSh

    So if I understand the sequencing...
    You click button that sets the value of PROVINCE and CITY.
    So the city value is set but it's a cascading lov based on the province..which will change the city value, because it's essentially being re-generated. If the city values in the list are correct (based on the province) then you need to set the value of the city AFTER it has been refreshed.
    You'd need to set the item again after the callback has finished.

  • Aperture 3.5 + Mavericks external storage problems

    Aperture 3.5 + Mavericks external storage problems
    After upgrading to 3.5 and Mavericks, all my projects referencing files stored on NAS show blurry or black and not responding to edit commands. Sometimes Aperture crashes. The projects/photos were okay before upgrade. Also new projects on NAS show blurry or black or fail totally to import photos. If I move the same photos to the local drive, everything is just fine.
    I am using NFS to access the NAS.
    Reading through this forum I found some reports of similar behavior from people storing photos on USB external drives.
    This seems to be only when referencing files located on an external drive. No problems if files are copied to the Aperture library.
    Any similar experience?

    Referenced files on a NAS was always an gray area. While it worked for most users most of the time it wasn;t clear that Apple supported the configuration.
    The Apple documents on Aperture and non-locally attached drives can be read in a number of different ways. Of course the library definitely had to be on a local drive (and even here some users reported success with the library on a NAS) but referenced masters were never explicitly mentioned either way.
    Most users had success with the originals on a NAS but even with earlier version of Aperture and the OS there were always the occasional report of problems. When push-came-to -shove if moving the referenced originals to a local drive fixed the problems there wasn;t much else that could be done.
    Since the release of 3.5 and Mavericks it does appear that referenced originals on a NAS do not work at all in most cases.  The best we can do here, being just users like yourself, is to suggest you contact Apple and try to get through to the Aperture team and see if you can get a definitive answer.
    As for problems with referenced originals on locally connected drives, I'm not aware of any widespread problems. In the few cases I've seen it has come down to some issue with the OP's system.
    Having your whole workflow and setup knocked out from under you like this is really bad, unfortunately there isn't much anyone here can do for this problem.
    regards

  • Extending an External LOV RN

    Hi ! I need to extend an external lov region (if it's even possible) to make one additional item searchable. Do you have any suggestions ?

    In Oracle Customer Support, there in an Incident Address region which has an LOV item for searching for existing addresses. The external lov tied to that LOV item, just searches by the Address. I need to be able to search by Province too. It seems as simple as making the Search Allowed property for Province true but how do you do that without directly updating the seeded External LOV region.

  • 10.4.7 update  and external firewire problems with HD corrupion

    Dear all,
    Advised by Jpfresno I started this new topic about Tiger 10.4.7 update.
    I will repeat my post and what was happening 2 weeks ago:
    “In 5 years 10.4.7 update was a tragedy for my Powerbook Ti 667. When I update from 10.4.6 to 10.4.7 my 300 GB firewire drive gets corrupted, after repairing it with DiskWarrior and after connecting it to my PowerBook my computer freezes and I must shut it down via powerbutton. Safari also crashes after the update.
    I just erase my Hard Drive and after that install 10.4 and update with combo to 10.4.7. But I had the same problems: finder freezes with connected firewire devices and also safari when browsing. I spend a week trying to solve the problem but no luck.
    Yesterday and with no firewire devices, 10.4.7 freeze and I have big trouble in order to started my powerbook!!! Even when i insert the 10.4 install DVD it did not detected my HD. Finally I get it to work and install 10.4 and combo update to 10.4.6 and everything works. My external firewire drive and safari. I already diagnose my HD with disk utility, TechTool and directories with Diskwarrior and everything is ok.
    I clone my 10.4.6 to firewire, boot from it and everything is working. I let my external drive connected and finder does not freeze.
    My conclusion is that the problem is 10.4.7 update. It only give me problems and I was getting crazy with it. 10.4.6 is working good and I do not advice anyone to update to 10.4.7.”
    Last week after reinstalling 10.4.6 I started to have HD problems with my Powerbook 667. I did a surface scan with TechTool I it reported bad sector. Then I done a zero disk format but after a second surface scan TechTool also reported bad sector. Then I take the decision to replace my internal HD. I bought a Samsung 40GB Hard Drive and installed it on my PowerBook. Then I have done a clean installation of 10.4.6 with all applications that I need and clone it to my hard drive with Intego Personal Backup software. Everything works on 10.4.6. and external firewire drive.
    After that everything is ok. But I decided to test if my problem derivates from 10.4.7 update or from previous HD corruption. Then I install 10.4.7 update on my Internal Hard Drive. Everything is working good but after connecting my external Hard Drive the finder started to freeze!!!!!!!!!. After that I tried cloning HD to external firewire with Intego personal Backup. Everything was working good but when it was finishing the backup process started to give errors!! I started panic. I interrupted the backup process but after and after restart I found something strange with 10.4.7. The system started up, I login but I could not started any application!!!??? All my application died!
    Then I have done one more clean installation of tiger and 10.4.6 update.
    My conclusions are that the 10.4.7 update causes all the problems that I have on my PowerBook, because I used the same methods and same software/hardware on 10.4.6 and did no have any problem.
    This last two weeks were very difficult to me. I tough that these problems do not happen with Apple computers but I was wrong!!! It is very hard to me to deal with it. I always said to my friends that I never had problems with Apple computers. I accept that a hard drive died because the use of it but I can not accept that a system update cause me 2 weeks of hard problems and make me loose precious work information! I always love apple computers and Apple OS but now I am disappointed
    If anyone can explain what happen or have a solution for those problems?
    Thanks for the comprehension and collaboration.
    Best Regards
      Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    Hi, alsvieira.
    There are some things you did not check in all of your troubleshooting:
    1. Run the Apple Hardware Test (AHT) that came the affected computer. See my "Apple Hardware Test" FAQ for comprehensive advice on using the AHT in troubleshooting.
    2. re: FireWire troubleshooting: Here is some general troubleshooting advice that may help if problems return with your FireWire drive:1. Review the AppleCare Knowledge Base document "What to do if your computer won't recognize a FireWire device".
    2. If this problem occurred after installing a recent Mac OS X Update, and you are also unable to mount CDs, DVDs, or disk images perform the steps in this Mac OS X Hints article. This worked under Panther and may also work in certain situations under Tiger.
    3. Power-on the FireWire drive before starting up (booting) your Mac.
    4. Reset PRAM and NVRAM.
    5. Resett the power-management chip in your Mac.
    6. Try a different FireWire port. James Wiebe, CEO of WiebeTech, has published FireWire Port Failures in Host Computers and Peripheral Devices, a white paper providing backgroud information and technical analysis concerning the causes of failure for FireWire ports. This may provide additional diagnostic information.
    7. Micromat TechTool Pro version 4 can test the FireWire bus in your computer: this tests the bus — not the ports — but if the problem is on the FireWire bus on the logic board, it should reveal it.
    8. Check with the manufacturer of your FireWire drive or enclosure to see if any firware updates are available for such.
    9. Hopefully, the partition map on the FireWire drive is not damaged. This can happen if the FireWire drive was not Ejected before being disconnected or powered off. If it still refuses to mount, you may need to employ data recovery tools or services: see my "Data Recovery" FAQ.Note that some of the information above is from the "FireWire Problems" chapter of my book, Troubleshooting Mac® OS X.

  • External iSight problems revisited

    My original post here: http://discussions.info.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=10805558
    After further research, I actually have the exact same problem detailed in this topic: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1014900 ("Your camera is in use by another application" error message persists after exhausting all troubleshooting options)
    I went to the Genius Bar with my iSight thinking it needs a firmware update. The Genius found out he could not apply the update unless he was booted into 10.3.9, and their OS install disks did not go back that far. So I went home and clean installed 10.3, the 10.3.9 Combo Update, and all other updates listed in Software Update (including a fresh iSight Updater 1.0.3!) onto a new partition in my Mac Mini G4.
    After attempting a firmware update and looking at /Library/Logs/iSightUpdater.log on my 10.3.9 system, I believe the reason my iSight is not recognized is that it cannot read the Serial Number or Firmware Version of my iSight, and therefore does not add it to the device list. Here are the Console messages from iSightUpdater.log running on my 10.3.9 system:
    2010-12-11 13:09:10 -0800: iSightUpdater was launched by Finder.

    "Couldn't read serial number" happened after I turned the iSight on. "DEVICE REMOVED" happened after I turned the iSight off and unplugged it from the Mac Mini. Notice that the Serial Number and Firmware Version were not retrieved by the system. The system recognizes that an iSight has been plugged in, but will not release it for use with other applications since its Serial Number and Firmware Version cannot be determined.

    Aha! The Serial Number and Firmware Version were present in both of those updates, and I didn't need a firmware update after all. It seems that somewhere between the last firmware update and now, the iSight forgot its Serial Number and Firmware Version numbers -- or the last firmware update inadvertently flashed those two pieces of information from the iSight's memory.
    I think if I could plant those two numbers back in the iSight's memory, I think I could get it working again. Problem is, Apple doesn't support scheduling repairs or Express Lane callbacks for the external iSight. Sooo... I, and all other external iSight owners with this problem, are stuck.
    I'd love to get this repaired and use my external iSight with my Mac Mini G4. I just wish there was a next step, now that I have potentially identified the problem. Any ideas out there? I don't want to pay $150 to receive a reconditioned iSight for what appears to be a much simpler software/firmware fix. I do live in the San Francisco Bay Area, so driving to Cupertino and handing off an iSight for a quick repair by an iSight engineer would be an easy solution for me.
    Thanks for listening, and I hope that this post sheds some light on other people with persistent "Your camera is in use by another application" error messages.

    Hi,
    I am not going to override EZ Jim's advice on this as I do not know any way of recovering the lost Serial Number of Firmware version the devices is currently at.
    Mostly it is for other readers but may provide clues.
    The iSight Updater for Firmware 1.0.3 is included in the OS files as a Standalone Updater in Leopard
    It seems it is also activated if the camera is Plugged In when Software Update is run. (I don't have enough info if it is specific 10.5.x Updates or just a General thing that happens.)
    It is also present in the same place in 10.4.11 (I do not have copies earlier that this of Tiger that I can check)
    In Use By Another Application.
    It could actually be so.
    Check:-
    Comic Book if bundled with your Mac.
    System Preferences > Accounts > Changing the Account Pic can invoke the camera for A Snapshot.
    Any other app that can capture Video or a Pic. (iMovie, Quicktime Pro in Leopard and below, PhotoBooth. Don't forget Image Capture or your Browser if using Flash Chat sites or using the Google Broswer Plug-in installed in Chrome or as a Standalone (Intel only) and many others)
    Check that in System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items does not list any app that can use the camera.
    It seems that if an App that uses the camera (and was using it at the time) "Unexpectedly Quits" the System in general will think the camera is still in use (Possibly because that app's .plist will say it is)
    The most common fix for this if you cannot find which App is using the camera is to do a SMC/PMU restart. (this link has three expandable areas that look like Links near the bottom of the page for various Macs).
    Most Times the System will catch which apps have "Crashed"/Unexpectedly Quit and they are recorded in a Log. Open Console in Application/Utilities and then the Reveal Triangles to see ~/Library/Logs/Crash Reporter and see if any app is listed.
    SEEK ADVICE on deleting .plists if you think you have identified the culprit, as doing so for some apps is more destructive than others.
    Summary so far.
    The Genius could have done it with a Tiger Install or Leopard Install Disk.
    If you have a Retail Copy to do your Updates or either you can invoke the Update yourself (Providing you can get System Profiler to "See" the camera correctly)
    A SMC/PMU reset maybe enough to "Clear" the System of what Apps it thinks is using the Camera.
    There are some unexpected places and apps that can cause or actually use the camera.
    A Fresh Install, as seems to be the case here, would have created a new set of .plists anyway.
    I would also suggest that any other Firewire device is removed.
    The External iSight should not be Daisy Chained with other items such as External Hard Drives as they run at different Data rates.
    If you have a Computer with tow of more Firewire Ports I would suggest trying another port.
    Some Towers have Firewire ports front and back and these have separate Firewire Controllers. This may isolate whether it is a Firewire port issue.
    USB and Firewire Ports can be reset if the Power is removed from the computer for 15 Mins (power removed if a Laptop as the Firewire ports can still be active if the power cable is still connected)
    I will state again that in this case I think EZ Jim has the right, quickest and simplest answer.
    I have posted this mainly for other readers that may have something similar but not quite the same.

  • Unloading external swf problem - deadline approaching

    Hi,
    We bought a component, and the developers are not real
    helpful so I thought I would try here. We have the well-known AS 3
    problem of events continuing to run even after you've unloaded a
    swf. Here is what we got:
    a main swf loads one of 7 secondary swfs, based on a button
    click. each of the secondary swfs contains the component (a 3D
    wall) that we purchased. we don't seem to have access to the code.
    we unload one swf load the next, and then after we do this a few
    times we get the following crash (output way below).
    The component does have a closeWall() function, which i'm
    assuming cleans things up. The problem is I don't know how to call
    a function on an externally loaded swf? Is that possible? In other
    words I want to say:
    var loader:Loader;
    function loadSwf(){
    loader = new Loader();
    var urlRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest ("vidSub.swf");
    loader.load(urlRequest);
    addChildAt(loader, getChildIndex(holder));
    function unloadSwf(){
    // hey swf, close properly, before I unload you
    loader.closeWall();//or something like this
    loader.unload();
    Thanks so much if you can help.
    Doug
    Crash output:
    Error: Error #2094: Event dispatch recursion overflow.

    I feel for you...
    You may want to try to instantiate the thing not through
    adding loader to display list but accessing application domain and
    creating an instance of its class. Some application will not do a
    thing if you just add them to display list and accessing their
    interfaces (I love doing that for one :-). In any case - I am not
    sure it is such a good idea to add the loader directly - not within
    INIT event listener.
    You may want to try accessing their application domain and
    loop through its properties to see which ones are enumerable. In
    the error stack you can see some their classes so you know already
    what to access. For instance there is
    org.papervision3d.core.utils.InteractiveSceneManager class.
    I don't say anything new but it looks like there is the same
    event flying around which is dispatched by some listener causing
    recursion. Can it be that your custom events have the same type as
    theirs? Try to listen to their events through making listener
    listen in capture phase by setting third parameter to true:
    blah.addEventListener("eventType", eventHandler, true) - you may be
    able to explicitly remove their event listener if you know which
    one. Or, perhaps, this is your mouse event that conflicts with
    theirs...
    Sorry I cannot be more helpful.

  • JTAPI, CallManager 3.3 and external calls problem

    Hi everyone,
    I'm putting together an application that uses JTAPI to track call times.
    When I'm tracking an internal call, the call time is pretty much exact and my application gets notified about all call events.
    But when tracking external calls (calls that go to the public telephone network) I've noticed that as soon as the call is directed to the router (a Cisco 3800), CallManager sends a connected event when in fact the phone on the other side is still ringing.
    Even if the external call never gets answered I get a connected (active call) event.
    I have a trace dump of my application that shows the events when they happen and I can provide that if needed but for now I was wondering what, if anything, should be configured either in CallManager 3.3 or the Cisco 3800 so that events are triggered correctly, i.e. get one connected event when the call is actually answered and not when CallManager passes the call to the router.

    Hey all
    Just got a 17" i7 MBP a few weeks ago, anxious of all the spinning beachball freezes people have reported in the Apple forums. Thankfully, I have none of these problems, however, I have a problem that's just as annoying.
    I have my laptop connected to an Eizo 24" Widescreen via a display port to DVI adapter, using the extended desktop functionality. I started fine, and I have pretty much the external monitor connected 90% of the time. But then after a few days (and this happens now 2-5 times ever day), the screens will go black, once entering sleep mode for the screens only, and I can't wake them up, only do a hard reboot via the power button. it's really annoying, as I can't leave the monitor plugged in, while I go do other stuff. When the MBP is on it's own, there's no problem.
    Also, sometimes when starting up, a few seconds into the desktop showing, I get severe graphics corruption, all kind of colours on both monitors, and I can only o a hard reboot to recover it. No problem as well when only using the MBP without the external monitor.
    The only good thing about these problems are that wen I push the machine hard (I am a graphic designer, so it get's pushed to max maybe 5 hours a day), there's no problems what so ever, it's like it's more tend to crash when cold. No problems during intense gaming as well.
    I run solely on the geforce card, as I have read a lot of problems are due to the switching of cards.
    Anyway, just wanted to chime in, hopefully Apple will deliver a solution for this soon. My old 2007 MBP was rock-solid, and so far this has been the least stable Mac I have owned. Love it still though.
