External Speakers for HP Touchsmart 310

I play guitar software through my computer and would like to improve the sound with external speakers but the ones that I have lying around don't work well.  I would like to know which speakers you would recomend for use with this system.

The choice is too subjective.  Most any quality speaker choice that can plug into the headphone jack should work. It would seem that a speaker set that has an amplifier included would be necessary to get a sound independent from the limits of the internal output capabilities.  I see there is also an audio output jack next to the network jack on the back of the unit, but it is not clear what that really is.  That may be a more viable output, if you can match the jack with an external speaker set.

  • External Speakers for TouchSmart PC 310

I have a HPTouchSmart HP 310 PC & am an old bod so not good with computers.  I want to improve on the sound basically I want  a louder sound which does not impede on the quality.  I guess I would add external speakers.  Can anyone recommend some good ones that do not break the bank.
    Thanks

    Hi:
I have this pair of portable speakers on my HP 8200 Elite CMT.
The sound quality is excellent, and they don't take up a lot of space at all.
They are designed to be portable and to be used with laptop computers. They get their power from one of your PC's USB ports, and you plug the audio jack into your PC's audio out jack (the light green one).

I bought mine at my local Office Depot store last year. They were on sale.

  • Use laptop as second monitor for hp touchsmart 310-1020

Product name: HP TouchSmart 310-1020 PC.
    OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
Can I use my laptop as a second monitor for my HP? It doesn't have an hdmi port, so is there any software or converters someone suggests?

Sorry to say, but it won't be possible - any video ports on your notebook will be output only.
Actually that's not what the OP asked, and it's incorrect since you're not answering the question he asked. There are software packages out there that will let the OP do what they want between multiple PCs. Multiplicity by Stardock is a quick example http://www.stardock.com/products/multiplicity/ and it's only $30

  • External speakers for FCP 7 & Mac OS Lion not working

    Hello,
We recently upgraded to OS Lion. Previously, our System Preferences for Audio were set to Decklink Audio and the FCP a/v settings were set to Decklink. Now that we have upgraded to OS Lion, Decklink is no longer a choice and obviously our external speakers are not working.
(our setup is a G5 tower, connected to a Mackie mixer, and external speakers connected through the mixer.)
    Solution?
Is there something better than Decklink we should consider?
    Thank you!

    Yes, excuse me:
    Processor  2 x 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
    Memory  32 GB 800 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM
Graphics  NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT 512 MB
    I go here:
    http://www.blackmagic-design.com/support
Select Mac OSX and Decklink, but then there are several choices for product type. I have no idea what's in this computer.
If I go to About this Mac, I don't see Decklink listed anywhere. If I do a (command) F, and search for Decklink, all I get is the DecklinkImportExport.plugin and blackmagic_deaktop_video_macintosh_9.5.rtf
I am not the person who had this Mac built, so I have no record of what hardware was put in place. How can I find this?
    Thanks.

  • Best external speakers for my iMac

I am looking at the Bose Companion 3 and Companion 5 speakers for my iMac. If I understand correctly, the difference is the 5 does surround sound and is great for movies. I want great speakers for audio.

    Hi Bryan
I think it depends on where your iMac is setup!
If your iMac is setup in your den or family room and you allready have a nice stereo system just pickup a mini headphone to RCA adapter and RCA cables and hook it up. If you do not have a decent stereo then yes the Bose or an upper end 5.1 system is the way to go.

If your iMac is setup in a small office, any of the 2.1 systems would sound real nice for a-lot less cash. I have a Creative Inspire 2.1 system in my office, the satellite speakers are in the corners of the room (instead of blaring in my face) and the Sub under my desk. The setup sounds great, it has good R & L channel separation and the sub rumbles/thumps the floor real nice.

  • I had my ipod stolen:(  I am considering getting IPAD 2  , can I attach the IPAD to the external speakers $$ for listening to music?

I had my IPOD stolen   I am considering IPAD 2, am I able to use the "dock"  external speakers $$ with it???

We'd need to know specifically what "dock speakers" you have before anyone could offer information or opinions. I'd suggest just contacting the maker of those dock speakers and asking them. They'll be in the best position to say whether or not their product is compatible with the iPad 2.
    Regards.

  • External speakers for Mac Mini

    I am new to this.
What adapter do I need to use some Imac Flat Panel G4 speakers with my mini? They are Pro Speakers.
Another topic- is there a download to make my HP 880c printer operable with this mini?
    thanks

I did a search for you and HP is not developing a driver for your printer and Snow Leopard:

I don't know about the speakers. What kind of connector do they use? Maybe an iMic from Griffin will work:

  • Microphone & external speakers for Skype

Want to use Skype to talk with grandchildren. Already have iMage camera which works fine. But not sure what mic and speakers to get.

    Hi-
A USB headset is a good way to go:
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000TG4AGU
    Otherwise, use a USB mic:

You can then use any internal or external speaker.

Right now, the only thing I can think of is the 99$ Bose powered speakers. Problem is - not very portable - still clunky.

  • How to install external speakers so they work?

    Model: C875D - S7120
    Part No.: PSCBEU - 01100F
I was given a set of Arctic S111 USB-powered speakers for my laptop, but I can't seem to get them to work. I plugged in the USB on the left side where I normally put the plug for my cooler. Nothing happened, the sound continued to play out of the internal speakers. I had no luck inserting the USB on the right side, either.
Am I doing something wrong or are these maybe just the wrong kind of external speakers for my computer?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I see those speakers don't have a separate power supply. It could be that your USB ports do not supply sufficient power, but that seems unlikely. Special cables are available for that situation.
You can make inquiries here. Click on "Support" at the top.

  • W530 - Which external speakers do you recommend ?

I know that the W530 + docking station is subject to very loud sound cracks. However I don't know yet if my setup has this issue because I don't have any external speakers connected to the docking station yet.
So could you recommend me any good external speakers for my setup in the following price ranges (USD or EUR) ?
    0 - 50,
    50 - 100,
    100 - 150.
A 2.0 speakers setup would be great (I don't have enough space for a subwoofer).
Moreover I don't like speakers with lot of colored lights or leds when speakers are "on".
If possible, I would also privilege speakers (by order of high to low priority)
black or dark grey color instead of other colors,
    mat finishing instead of glossy,
ability to tune bass volume directly on speakers instead of software,
bluetooth connection instead of wire connection.
These speakers will be used mainly for (by order of high to low priority)
    music listening,
    video watching,
    gaming (maybe).
    Thanks for your help,
    Bertrand

I was also looking at Bose Companion 2 for my setup. However reviewers seem to be divided on these speakers. As a matter of fact, these speakers are a bit expensive for the provided features IMHO.
Could you share why you choose these speakers and what are the Pros & Cons ? Thanks.

  • External speakers muted upon startup

I an early 2008 Mac Pro and have used the same external speakers for several years.  When Yosemite was installed, they were muted upon startup.  I had to unmute them in Preferences or the menu bar.  Tech support had never heard of this problem.

The Mac Pro always plays the startup sound though the internal speaker. The sound is a diagnostic, and shouldn't depend on what is plugged into the computer. There could be anything plugged into the audio output jacks, such as a building wide PA system, so an uncontrolled output there could be undesirable.
You can put an audio file in Login Items in your Accounts system preference, to play when you login. Check the "Hide" box. If the file's default application (Get Info) is iTunes it will play, but be left in iTunes' library. If it's QuickTime Player, make sure it is set to automatically in its "General" preference.
