  • Hide column in Excel output?

    I have a .cfm file generating Excel output using CFContent.
    The client want to have certain data in a hidden column.
    I am already using XML to freeze the header and I tried
    hiding the column by using a <LeftColumnVisible> tag within
    the WorkSheetOptions (which is what Excel generates when you hide a
    column). But it doesn't come through in the CF output.
    Any suggestions?
    Ken

    Thanks. But "Exclude XML output" does not work dynamically. It cannot be set to "No" or "Yes" programmetically.
    What I would like is to provide my user a parameter "Show Column X? (Yes/No)". Based on user's choice, the Excel output should display or hide column X.
    Thanks for the response!

  • Clob column in excel output

    Hi All,
    I have a clob column in my RTF. when I preview the output in excel...complete data is not visible in the cell of the spread sheet but when I click on that perticular cell of the spread sheet. I can see the whole data at the top of the spreed sheet. I've searched this forum and came accross same issues but they where left unresolved.
    Is there a way to show the complete data in the cell of the excel sheet ?
    Thanks in advance....

    I've never worked with Clobs in Excel output, but from the sounds of it, all of your data is present in the Excel output, it's just that the column is not wide enough or the cell is not tall enough to display all of the data.
    As "rick_me" wrote in this post Re: Number and cell formatting in RTF
    Excel takes it's cue from the RTF template for how to size the columns.
    You can also give Excel general guidlines as to the row height.
    Put your data into a Table in the RTF template and experiment by altering the height and width of the table cells.

  • How to add extra filed in FB03 output report

    HI,
    we added new field for structure  BSEG_ALV but this field does not appearing in layout of FB03 report.
    --Ganesh

    Hello,
    There are two "standard" ways to add new fields there, but you should consider these fields will be available for trx FBL1N, FBL3N and FBL5N:
    - first way: trx OBVU: here you can insert only new fields belonging to BSEG, BKPF and others tables
    - second way: add the new fields to structure RFPOSX, run the report RFPOSXEXTEND in order to update RFPOSXEXT (the structure for the ALV), use the BTE 1650 to insert the code to fill the new fields.
    Bye!

  • Add Extra Columns into Multi-Level Explode BOM (List Report)  - CS12

    Hi Experts,
    I wish to add extra columns into the list report generated from program RCS12001 (calling from t-code: CS12). The current layout will be AS-IS and the only way i wish is to add-in few new columns in the report.

    Hi
    declare select-options instead of parameters
    for converting a report to ALV
    create a field catalog.
    for this two option declare a itab with
    fcat    TYPE slis_t_fieldcat_alv
    and pass the field name,descr etc to fcat and append the same.
    or create structur same as your itab and pass the same with FM
    'REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE'
    use either <b>reuse_alv_grid_display or reuse_alv_list_display</b> .
    and pass the itab.
    thanks

  • Hiding output report columns in VA05

    Hi all,
    I wish to hide some of the columns in the output report of VA05. The users of that report are not supposed to be allowed to unhide them (so I think the layout function is not applicable then unless there's way to block them from choosing layout for VA05 report only)
    Can anybody suggest some of the ways to do that?
    Thanks
    Rgds

    Hi TY Ng,
    There r two ways of doing this:
    1.Create a layout which is to be used by those users and ask your basis consultant to restrict those users to modify that layout.
    2.Ask your abaper to develop a report similar to VA05 with the specified columns as desired by the management.I suggest you use the second option as it would be easier for you and for your users also to handle this situation.

  • Word wrap in RTF for an excel output : BIP 11g

    Hi,
    If we set the word wrap property in RTF and generate the output in Excel format, it doesnt reflect. However, PDF output reflects the difference.
    Looks like Excel overrides the property set in RTF. Is there anyway to text wrap a column for excel output?
    Thanks,

  • Displaying negative numbers in brackets in Excel output

    Hello all.
    I have an RTF template...I tired displaying negative numbers in brackets like : (123.80) in Excel output
    But, this is working in PDF and not in Excel.
    Please let me know the way to dsiplay the numbers in brackets.

    varma wrote:
    Negative numbers in bracket
    add a conditional statement like below.
    <?if: NUMBER_TO_CHECK < 0?> <?concat('(',NUMBER_TO_CHECK,')')?><?end if?>
    <?if: NUMBER_TO_CHECK > 0?> <?NUMBER_TO_CHECK?><?end if?>
    are you using the same template for PDF and EXCEL ?
    if so, it has to be handled little differently.
    Place this line in the beginning of the rtf
    <?param@begin:_xf;''?>
    add this condition on number column for Excel output
    <?if:$_xf='excel' and NUMBER_TO_CHECK < 0?> <?concat('(',NUMBER_TO_CHECK,')')?><?end if?>
    Try the above one it should work.
    Have a Nice dayThis didnt work.
    Say that I have element named 'market'
    I placed this condiion <?param@begin:_xf;''?> at the beginningof RTF
    Replaced the number field with this condition: <?if:$_xf='excel' and market< 0?> <?concat('(',market,')')?><?end if?>
    This is giving me a blank output in place of the number.

  • Decimal format in Excel output

    In one of my Excel output reports, I'm setting the number format dynamically as SRW.SET_FORMAT_MASK('LNNNGNNNGNNNGNN0D0');
    to display just one decimal place but this works for numbers less than 1000 and it displays two decimal places for numbers 1000 and greater. However, this works for all numbers inside the Reports Builder but I'm getting this issue when I run the reports in the web using rwservlet with desformat as SPREADSHEET. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Thanks a lot and thanks for your time and good solution.
    This the syntax is used for Date datatype :<?format-date:CREATION_DATE;' MON- YY'?>
    and for varchar data type <?concat(' ',/XLAAARPT/P_PERIOD_FROM)?>.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Extra columns in ALV report

    Hi there,
    I added a column to an existing alv report which uses method 'set_table_for_first_display' to display the output.
    The method is called via:
    grid1              TYPE REF TO cl_gui_alv_grid,
        CALL METHOD grid1->set_table_for_first_display
              EXPORTING
                        i_structure_name     = 'MAT_DATA'
                        is_layout            = lt_layout
                        is_variant           = lt_variant
                        i_default            = lt_default
                        i_save               = 'A'
                        it_toolbar_excluding = lt_exclude[]
               CHANGING it_outtab            = mat_data[]
                        it_fieldcatalog      = w_fieldcat[]
             EXCEPTIONS
                        program_error        = 1.
    The extra columns are in the field catalog and mat_data.
    The lt_variant-report field has the report name in it.
    When I run the report the new column does NOT appear.
    I cleared out the lt_variant-report value and now the new column DOES appear.
    Any idea why this is happening?
    Is there some way I can leave the report name in there and see the new columns?
    Thanks.

    thanks.
    no_out is initial.
    But, in this case, I am not passing any variant.
    It works if I don't pass the report name in the
    is_variant-report
    field.The columns will not display if I pass the report name.

  • Problem with Cell size in Excel output of XML report

    Dear all,
    I am facing a problem with cell size when i run my XML report in Excel output. I found that it imitates the cell size of whatever i gave in the RTF. I cannot increase the cell size in RTF as my report contains 60 columns and max width of MS Word table is 22 inches.
    Can any one suggest a way of doing this which shows full data in Excel sheet depending on the column data size with out any word wrap.
    Thanks

    Hi ,
    You can try with
    <xsl:attribute xdofo:ctx="block" name="wrap-option">no-wrap</xsl:attribute>
    may be helpful to you
