  • How can I use a weblogic server's root path in an XML?

    Hi all,
    I hope I posted this to the correct newsgroup...
    Anyway, I have a question about getting a Weblogic (9.2) server's root directory in an XML config file. I'm trying to use a log4j.xml file to set up a logger for my application, but when I use just the file name in the "file" parameter for the Appender, the logger writes the file to the domain directory. I'm avoiding hard-coding of the server path because the deployment system's configuration may be different than mine.
    So, is it possible to get the server's root directory in an XML config file?
    Thanks for the help!

    By the way, here's the XML:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <!DOCTYPE log4j:configuration SYSTEM "log4j.dtd">
    <log4j:configuration xmlns:log4j="http://jakarta.apache.org/log4j/">
      <appender name="mibLogFile" class="org.apache.log4j.DailyRollingFileAppender">
        <param name="File" value="mib_application.log" />
        <param name="DatePattern" value=".yyyy_MM_dd"/>
        <param name="Append" value="true"/>
        <layout class="org.apache.log4j.PatternLayout">
          <param name="ConversionPattern" value="%d{MM/dd/yyyy HH:mm:ss} [%t] %c %x%n  %-5p %m%n"/>
        </layout>
      </appender>
      <root>
        <level value="info"/>
        <appender-ref ref="mibLogFile"/>
      </root>
    </log4j:configuration>I tried using "$WL_ROOT/logs/" at the start of the file name, thinking that $WL_ROOT would work for the env variable for the server root path. But it doesn't exist, and I don't think I'll have access on the deployment server to add any environment variables, so I was hoping to use something native to Weblogic. Any thoughts??

  • Dynamic file name in Export: XML

    I am generating a SQL report on a page that can be exported as XML File and It seems to me the file name come from the name of the report region by default and I 'd like use a value of an item as the XML file name.
    I tried to put &P15_ITEM. as name of report region, then the XML file name I got is: p15_item[1]..xml. But if I change the Report Template back to Standard Template, the region name displays the value of P15_ITEM.
    So, my question is, Is ther anyway we could reset the file name of the XML file, such as the value of an item, In Version 1.6.?
    Million Thanks,
    Ran

    Thank you Raj for the direction
    The way to do it is :
    1. In ID, advanced tab, put a check on the adapter-specific message attributes - file name.
    2. Put a "*" on the file name scheme
    3. In IR, create a UDF to set up target file name :
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container
    .getTransformationParameters()
    .get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");
    // set up file name for receiver adapter
    String SourceFileName = conf.get(key);
    conf.put(key, TargetFileName);
    return " ";
    4. Map the above UDF to the header level of the target structure.

    Idi

    Hi all,
    I am trying to invoke a bounded taskflow from a region on a jspx page.
    My jspx page has: *<af:region value="#{bindings.citySearchTF.regionModel}" id="r1" />*
    Its page def file has :
    *<taskFlow id="citySearchTF" taskFlowId="/WEB-INF/tfs/bounded/cities/city-search-tf.xml#city-search-tf"*
    xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/controller/binding"/>
    My taskFlow file is :
    *<?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252" ?>*
    *<adfc-config xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/controller" version="1.2">*
    *<task-flow-definition id="city-search-tf">*
    *<default-activity>search-city.jsff</default-activity>*
    *<data-control-scope>*
    *<shared/>*
    *</data-control-scope>*
    *<view id="search-city.jsff">*
    *<page>/view/bounded/city/search-city.jsff</page>*
    *</view>*
    *<use-page-fragments/>*
    *</task-flow-definition>*
    *</adfc-config>*
    Now, while running this jspx page, I am getting the following errors:

  • No root element found in xml

    I am facing a problem when i am trying to use TOAD. Its giving me an error like
    NO ROOT ELEMENT FOUND IN XML. Can someone help me in corrcting this Error ?
    Regards,
    Chandra deep

    NO ROOT ELEMENT FOUND IN XML. Can someone help me in
    corrcting this Error ? That means the XML document is either missing the surrounding <element> ... </element> pair or has more than one pair at the base level of the document. Resolve that and you are done.
    Now ... given that I am probably 4,000+ km away from you and can not see your screen, please look at your question and ask yourself whether you have given sufficient information for troubleshooting. <g>

  • Cannot change table-name in persistent.xml

    I've successful deployed a Entity EJB on "SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0 SP4 NetWeaver Developer Sneak Preview"
    After changing the Table Name in persistent.xml and re-deploying the new EAR, the Entity EJB still writes to the old table.
    How can I get SAP Web AS to accept the new persistent.xml/persistent-ejb-map/entity-beans/entity-bean/table-name entry ?
    I've already tried:
    1) Re-deploy EAR and re-boot the server
    2) Delete all old copies of EAR directories and temporary files, reboot and re-deploy.
    Note: Expanding new EAR confirms that persistent.xml/table-name has been updated on the SAP Web AS.  However, EJB still writes to the old table.
    Alton

    In Web AS 6.40 the application data is stored in the database, therefore it is restored even if you delete the folders in the file system.
    To undeploy the application, you can use the Deploy Service runtime in Visual Administrator. Start the Visual Administrator using the <i>go</i> script file in <drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\JC00\j2ee\admin. Then expand the <i>Services</i> tree under the server node, and choose <i>Deploy</i>. On the right-hand side of the screen switch to <i>Application</i> view, select your application, and choose <i>Remove</i>.

  • How can I change the name of the XML file which is submitted by mail?

    Hello Everybody,
    If I submit my pdf file as XML
    I will get something like this:
    MyFile.PDF -> submit as XML -> MyFile_data.XML
    My problem is with the _data at the end of the file name -> this addition is coming from the windows logon language,
    I know that because if the windows logon is in spanish I get the addition _datos for example: MyFile_datos.XML
    Is there a way to change the name of the xml file for example : MyFile.XML
    Thank you all in advance,
    Eran

    Hello Uti,
    I found out it is something with the adobe reader installation.
    If it is in English the suffix is _data
    If it is in Spanish the suffix is _datos
    If it is in Hebrew the suffix is _נתונים
    So Now I think i will have to open OSS for this issue.
    Thank you so much for your reply - I thought i was the only one with this problem...
    Best Regards,
    Eran

  • Files saved on memory stick on pc show as original file name followed by .XML and i cannot open why

    files saved on memory stick on pc show as original file name followed by .XML for example tester.doc.XML, is there any reason?  I cant open these on mac, if i put it back in PC is shows file as normal without .XML.  Confused.com any ideas.

    I have files on my work laptop (PC) e.g. document1.doc (word document), I then save it to my memory stick (which i have reformatted, I also tried my external disk drive) and then take that to my macbook, plug it in and in finder it then shows as document1.doc.XML, which i cannot open.  It happens to all types of files, it just seems to add .XML on the end of everything.

  • How to include the file name as an XML field

    Hi,
    I'm using a file adapter for process a flat file and convert it into an XML. Does anybody knows how to include the file name into an XML field.
    Ex.
    I process the file named <b>XXIMN21022007.txt</b> and I need an XML like:
    <MT_FILE>
    <field1></field1>
    <field2></field2>
    <field3></field3>
    <filename><b>XXIMN21022007.txt</b></filename>
    </MT_FILE>
    Regards
    Gonzalo

    Just go for dynamic configuration.
    Check the sender file adapter to write the filename in the header (as explained in Michal's blog) and then read that header in some mapping.
    U can use that even in simple message mappings.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/43/03612cdecc6e76e10000000a422035/frameset.htm
    Your code for the filename tag would be something like:
    <i>DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container
        .getTransformationParameters()
        .get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create(
        “http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File”,
        “FileName”);
    return conf.get(key);</i>

  • Parse SQL: How to extract column names, table names from a SQL query

    Hi all,
    I have a requirement wherein a SQL query will be given in a text file.
    The text file has to be read (probably using text_io package), the SQL query needs to be parsed and the column names, table names and where clauses have to be extracted and inserted into separate tables.
    Is there a way to do it using PL/SQL ?
    Is there a PL/SQL script available to parse and extract column names, table names etc ?
    Pls help.
    Regards,
    Sam

    I think I jumped to conclusion too early saying it is completely possible and straight forward. But after reading through your post for one more time I realised you are not interested only in the column_names, also the table_names and the predicates .
    >
    SQL query needs to be parsed and the column names
    >
    The above is possible and straight forward using the dbms_sql package.
    I am pasting the same information as I did in the other forum.
    Check this link and search for Example 8 and .
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/appdev.102/b14258/d_sql.htm#sthref6136
    Also check the working example from asktom
    http://asktom.oracle.com/pls/asktom/f?p=100:11:0::::P11_QUESTION_ID:1035431863958
    >
    table names and where clauses have to be extracted
    >
    Now this is the tricky bit. You can extract the list of tables by getting the sql_id from v$sql and joining it with v$sql_plan. But sometimes you may not get all the results because the optimizer may choose to refine your query (check this link)
    http://optimizermagic.blogspot.com/2008/06/why-are-some-of-tables-in-my-query.html
    and you can get the predicate information from the same table v$sql_plan but I will leave that area for you to do some R&D.

    Hi Friends,
    I Need to update resource name in user XML. Suppose I have one user say 120120 and he has resource "ABC" assinged to him.
    When I rename resource "ABC" to "XYZ" and search the user 120120, it is showing me "XYZ" resource is assinged to 120120. this is right.

    Hi William,
    I don't know of any standard report of Function module  which will directly update  the addrress of location , however you can develop a custom  report  for update of addreess of plant from R/3 to SRM using the Function module "BUPA_ADDRESSES_GET' , "BUPA_ADDRESS_CHANGE" and table  'ADDR'.
    use " BUPA_ADDRESS_GET"  to get address number using the partner id of location.
    search on table 'ADDR" with the address number  to get the address detail .
    compare the address detail  with the R/3 plant address.
    use function module "BUPA_ADDRESS_CHANGE"  to update the address.
    hope this would help.
    Please reward points for helpful answer.
    cheers!!

  • How to extract register names & their addresses from .inc file of a microcontroller

    Hi,
    I want to extract register names to a dropdown and their corresponding addresses from .inc file in such a way that when I select a register from dropdown, it has to also show its address in a string indicator.
    However, only a part of .inc file consists of register definitions and the rest has bit definition of registers (unwanted). How can I extract this using labview?
    Attached is a sample .inc file for PIC18F4620 device.
    Attachments:
    p18f4620.inc ‏48 KB

    Read the file line by line until you find "Register Files" (use for example Search/Split String).
    Then, read again splitting each line in its tokens (use Scan String for Tokens).
    Keep the first token as name and convert the proper substring of the third token to the address value.
    Terminate when line is empty.
