Extracting an Org's date from eBusiness Suite

Hi,
Our client has eBusiness suite 11.5.10 (PO,AP,AR,GL,etc...) running multi-org, however another company has recently acquired one of their organisations and a condition of the acquisition requires them to provide all of the data from eBusiness Suite relating to that Org
We cannot simply provide all the data and at present the only option we think we've got is to investigate all of the tables throughout all of the apps schema's and write SQL scripts to extract it but that is obviously going to be a mammoth task.
We don't need to purge the data at this point, just to take an extract anything that relates to the Org
Has anybody any experience of doing this or know of any tools to help or any ideas ?
Thanks
Malcolm

  • What is the Best way to extract a subset of data from a Production database

    Hi,
One of our cleint want to to extract a subset of data from a Production databases in order to build a dev or test database. Since it is a banking sector they do not want to clone the db.
Can anybdoy suggests any tool or any info
    Regards
    Manoj

DataBee is one option. Depending on circumstances, you may also want their DataMasker utility in addition...
Of course, depending on your particular system and your particular requirements, this sort of thing can rather quickly get quite complicated since you may need very particular types of subsets of data...

  • Export data from PC suite

Sir i imported all messages and contacts from nokia X2-02 by sync msg and cnct using nokia PC suite and after that i restored my phone, all data has been deleted. Now i want to export all data from PC suite to my phone, what shall i do please help me. And is it possible to export all data to other nokia model please help me soon.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

There are 2 separate Softwares for this ..This is the Nokia PC Suite and this is the Nokia Suite.
Nokia PC Suite is 'almost'  obsolate .. If its in the Nokia Suite.. connect the phone to PC and in Nokia Suite go to 'Messages' Select Inbox at the top.. then select all messages and Drag-and-Drop them to the Inbox folder at the bottom, next to the phone icon .. Similary transfer messages from 'Sent' at the top to the same folder at the bottom ..
For contacts.. you may again select 'Sync' and they should be back on the Phone ..
If you use the Back-up function in the Suite (Tools-->Bac-up)..then for restoring you just need to select Tools -->Restore ..
..and yes, you should be able to do this on other Nokia models that are compatible with the Nokia Suite (..e.g. Lumia series phones will not connect thru' Nokia Suite..so can't do it this way..but there are other means to do it)

  • Demo - Extraction of Customer Master Data from SAP R/3 ECC6 to MDM5.5

    Hello,
I am new to MDM . Would appreciate if someone can give a solution to the below request.
We are doing a demo project in our Company to extract all the master data related to SALES cycle. We are doing an extraction of Customer Master Data. Currently we have the unlicensed version of MDM and very soon we will get the licensed version.
We have the Customer Master Repository created in MDM Console. The IDOC type we are using is DEBMDM05.
Is there a easy way to map the fields of IDOC to the MDM Repository. Right now we are doing a manual process of comparing the IDOC fields and MDM Repo in an excel but this is tedious and time consuming.
Can anyone suggest an easier way to identify so that we know which fields match correctly.
    Thanks
    Leena

    Hi Leena,
First of all you have 2 options to generate IDOCs from SAP R/3 system
    1.mdmgx>one IDoc per record
2.mdm_clnt_extr>for generating single IDoc having entire set of records.
Secondly,if you want to get the data mapped automatically, you should use standard maps provided by SAP(Business Content).
If at all you have created new fields then you should manually map those fields.
If any other queries pl ask
    Reward points if found useful

  • How to generate XML from EBusiness suite ARXSGPO

Could someone tell me how I can generate XML from the EBusiness Suite Accounts Receivable report ARXSGPO.rdf I understand this report is called by a C program. I have tried changing the concurrent request to output format to XML the result does not resemble XML. Does anyone have any suggestions how I can generate XML from the ARXSGPO report?
    Thanks,
    Mark

    Hi Mark
the next release of XMLP will have last page only support. The problem is that at the template layer you do not know how many lines are going to fit on the page, so you never know what is going to be the last page. The only way around it for now is to specify the number of lines to a page and then check when all the lines have been rendered and then render the remit portion.
I have a sample invoice that does the same, drop me a mail, you can work out the email from my name and the fact I work for XMLP Im sure.

    Dear Mr Memminger,
unfortunatly I was not able to find any hint about the same issue. As we have closed the FI-key we are waiting for any entry in RSA7. With RSA3 we get results but there are no entries in Delta Queue.
What I was surprised about is the fact that in SM58 there are some tRFC-entries for function module MEREP_DELTABO and target MAM_MI. That looks like error in delta handling. Although my colleague told me that is the integration to Mobile Asset Management and hence has nothing to do with the Delta handling problem.
But could give me a hint where to find the configuration setting for Delta queueing ?

  • How to handle/extract Hierarchies in master data from R3

    Hi Experts!!!
Iu2019m currently working on HR Implementation project and this is my first project. Implementation is being done in BI 7.0 and ECC 6.0. I have some queries  regarding the extraction of master data from R3 as furnished below.
    1.     By default all the datasources  are in 3.x technology  and Iu2019ve migrated all the datasources with export and successfully performed InfoPackages  and  DTPS  into their respective InfoObjects/Data targets. But when it comes to the masterdata datasources with hierarchies, Iu2019m unable to migrate them as there is no MIGRATE option in the context menu. When I tried to create infopackage, it asked me to create Transfer rules first and perform InfoPackage. Is it mandatory to work in 3.x technology (Transfer rules/ Update rules)  in case of master data hierarchies? In this case how to handle datasources with hierarchies?
    2.     Is it required to have any data staging component  like DSO while extracting master data datasources from SAP R/3  to their respective InfoObjects (Data targets)?? Or can I directly schedule Infopackage and DTP directly into the InfoObject with out any DSOS in between for HR master data??
    Good day!!!

    hello,
    1)
all DataSource that are created in BI 7.0 are new design, master data attribute, text and transaction DataSource can all be created in the new BI 7.0, but for hierarchy DataSource, it remains as 3.X, if you double click on the Hier DataSource, you will see the title "...Emulated 3.X ...", so the DataSource should be working perfectly fine except it is in "Modified" version, i believe it is just SAP has not or can't a way to upgrade hier DataSource.
    Also,
RSDS doesnt support hierarchy datasources in BI 7.0. So we cannot use transformations and DTP with hierarchy. So it is very similar to the way we used to load it in 3.x.
Check below link for step by step procedure to load hierarchy using flat file:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/fa/e92637c2cbf357e10000009b38f936/content.htm
    2)
i dont think you need a DSO in between for laoding master data from R/3 to BI IO.

  • How to extract the size and date from a given file

    Hi,
I want to extract the size and date of a file (it can be either a video, audio or text file) that the user points to the location of. But I am not sure how. Does Java have an api that can do this? If not is there some other way of doing this? Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Have a look at java.io.File, specifically
    public long lastModified()
This format returned (I find) is nasty, so then use java.util.Date (or java.sql.Date, look the same on the surface to me) to format it.

  • Error while extracting huge volumes of data from BW

    Hi,
we see this error while extracting huge volumes of data (apprx 3.4 million and with more no.of columns) and we see this error.

We are not sure if DoP works with source as SAP BW, but when tried with DoP also, we got the same error.
Will this issue be resolved with an R/3 or ABAP dataflow? Can anyone suggest some possible solutions for this scenario?

The problem is that you've reached the maximum memory configure for your system.

  • Extract parent and child data from an XML sequence?

I'm very new to XML, so please excuse me if I use incorrect terminology here. I've been given a schema definition (.xsd), and several sample xml files from which I need to extract data and insert it into relational tables. I've made some progress in that I've been able to hack enough to modify and register the schema and get the XML into the database both through the registered schema and into a separate table with an XMLType column. I've also been able to use the isSchemaValid function to validate the XML against the schema definition, and I've been able to extract some of the simple data elements via the extractValue function. My problem is with extracting some of the nested data - that is, extracting parent node elements and child node elements together where there is more than one value in the child node. BTW. I'm on Oracle 10gR2.
Following are the .xsd and and sample XML. Specifically, I need to select the NPI value from the PROVIDER node, and associate it with each of the CODE values from the SPECIALTIES node (which is part of the PROVIDER node).
Here's the .xsd (sorry, it's very long). The only modifications I've made to the schema definition are to add the xdb namespace and the "xdb:defaultTable="HMOSCHEMA" snippet:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

As you can see, the SPECIALTIES node can contain more than one CODE value, si I can't use extractValue to retrieve them. Again, I need to extract the NPI value from the PROVIIDER node, and associate it with each of the CODE values from the SPECIALTIES node. So, what I would need to extract from this sample XML would be:
    NPI CODE
    1111111111 170
    2222222222 322
    2222222222 329
This seems like it should be a pretty routine requirement, but I've tried everything I can think of (that is, everything I've learned to this point), and have not yet found a way............
Ideally, the solution to extracting this data would utilize SQL (not PL/SQL, or Java, or XSL, etc) with XML extraction functions (e.g. extract, extractValue, XMLSequence, XMLTable, etc).
Can anyone provide me with an example of how that iterative specialy code data could be extracted? Do I need to modify the .xsd to facilitate this extraction (so that registration of the schema results in other objects in the database)?
Any suggestions or examples would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance, Dan
P.S. - I hope the XML displays OK when I post this question!

    Hi,
Thanks for your detailed sample, it's very helpful.
This seems like it should be a pretty routine requirementIndeed, that's a classic (once you've got the method).
So, here's how you can do it :
    SELECT x1.npi, x2.code
    FROM t,
         XMLTable(
          '/HMO/PROVIDERS/PROVIDER'
          passing t.doc
          columns
            npi number path 'NPI',
            specialties xmltype path 'SPECIALTIES'
         ) x1,
         XMLTable(
          'SPECIALTIES/CODE'
          passing x1.specialties
          columns
            code number path '.'
         ) x2
;Assuming the XML is stored in column T.DOC.
As you see, for each NPI, the trick is to pass the entire SPECIALTIES node (kind of a join) to another nested XMLTable so that each CODE could be extracted as well.
There's another method using only one XMLTable and a little more complex XQuery. I'll try to post it soon.
    HTH.
    Edit : 2nd method
    SELECT x.*
    FROM t,
         XMLTable(
          'for $i in /HMO/PROVIDERS/PROVIDER/SPECIALTIES/CODE
           return element e
            attribute npi { $i/../../NPI },
            $i/text()
          passing t.doc
          columns
            npi  number path '@npi',
            code number path '.'
         ) x

  • What is the best way to extract large volume of data from a BW InfoCube?

    Hello experts,
Wondering if someone can suggest the best method that is availabe in SAP BI 7.0 to extract a large amount of data (approx 70 million records) from an InfoCube.  I've tried OpenHub and APD but not working.  I always need to separate the extracts into small datasets.  Any advice is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    David

    Hi David,
We had the same issue but that was loading from an ODS to cube. We have over 50 million records. I think there is no such option like parallel loading using DTPs. As suggested earlier in the forum, the only best option is to split according to the calender year of fis yr.
But remember even with the above criteria sometimes for some cal yr you might have lot of data, even that becomes a problem.
What i can suggest you is apart from Just the cal yr/fisc, also include some other selection criteria like comp code or sales org.
yes you will end up load more requests, but the data loads would go smooth with lesser volumes.

  • Extraction of Business Partner data from CRM to MDM

Does MDM provide standard extractors that can be installed in CRM so that BP data can be extracted and sent to XI via IDOC.
If it does where can I find this information ?

have a look at the MDM IT scenario Configuration Guide: https://websmp110.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700004656452006E
This document describes how you setup bupa data extraction from CRM to MDM, which is actually done via Proxies and not via IDocs.

  • Extracting Unreconciled/not reconciled data from GL JE Lines

I need to create a View out of GL_JE_LINES table. This view will have all the journal lines for specific banks (asset_code_combination_id). This activity is basically pre-reconciliation process before the auto reconciliation. So instead of picking all the GL_JE_LINES for the collective asset_code_combination_ids, I would like to ignore those GL LINES which are already reconciled. We could do that with the same methodology you guys have approached. But our problem is that the ce_statement_reconcils_all has rows that does not have JE_HEADER_ID at all. Due to this, we could not compare the JE_HEADER_ID of GL_JE_LINES with reconcils table.
First in place, what could be the reason that there is no JE_HEADER_ID for some of the rows in CE_STATEMENT_RECONCILS_ALL? Can we ignore those lines in our filter and go head to map those which has JE_HEADER_ID?
For your information, in CE_STATEMENT_RECONCILS_ALL, for the rows that does not have JE_HEADER_ID, we have ORG_ID.
Secondly, in CE_STATEMENT_RECONCILS_ALL does the auto reconciliation flag set to N means manual reconciliation done?
Please help. We are badly looking out for some help since we got stuck at a critical phase of the project.
    Thanks.

How can be? I am thinking one cause is that you had something come through on the bank statement that was NOT recorded in Oracle. If not recorded in Oracle, there would not be an Oracle journal to look at. You would really have to study some of these records and trace where they are coming from to get an understanding of why these records exist without an id value. But if you look at the table documentation it does note that the field is NULL capable. Of course it is possible that you have run across some bug in Oracle (though I am thinking this is not the case). You have to be open to consider all possibilities. That is why you have to be a detective and study the data and figure out what is happening. Since I cannot see your data, it is tough to give you a good answer to your questions. Would be helpful if you mentioned what version of EBS you are on.
