how would i extract the contents of a JAR file called Atheon.jar?
would it be:
# jar -xf *.* Atheon.jar
i have no clue how to do it. can somebody help??

Apart from the fact that you've cross-posted this message, and that you're trying to extract the jar as root, it appears that you need to download a program to check the integrity of your RAM.

If you're using windows OS, you can do execute the
command in dos promt
and if you're using linux, you execute it in the
Terminal/Console or double click on the file name in
the
Knoqueror, you can see the contents.Konqueror file manager,you can see the contents.

Try telling jar that you're giving it a filename rather than piping stuff into it: jar xf myFile.jar

How to create a jar having the contents of the jar in a byte array?

I have a server and client application. My server returns the contents of the jar in the form of byte array to the client on a particluar method call. Now at the client end, i want to reconstruct the jar to be used. How do I do this?
The server uses the JarInputStream to read the contents of the jar to be returned. I have tried using the JarOutputStream, but looks like this works fine if we have spearate class files to be added to the jar. Now that I have the contents of the jar itself, how do i recreate the jar?
Can anyone please help me with this?

Have you ever gotten the raw byte copy to work? If so, how?
I download a jar via InputStream and save into a jar file via fileoutputstream. It always gets corrupted in the process. The new Jar file has the exact same number of bytes, but doesn't get past the Manifest on a -tvf. In fact, Winzip can open it fine, but can't extract. So close...yet so far.

Extract Content Question?

Sometimes I can extract content right,but sometimes I cann't.
when PDEObjectGetType == kPDEContainer, I extract some garbled content, I don't know why?

PDETextGetText gives you back the raw IDs – it doesn’t do anything to convert that information to an encoding that may be useful to you. Please read the documentation for more info.

Change in capital to Lower while extracting contents

While extracting contents from PDF Capital Letters are changed to small and a tab space is created between some words . Can you please suggest me how this can be solved. Thank you in advance.

That file isn't faulty. Just was created incorectly.
Capital text was created by using wrong function in InDesign.

ExtractContent.exe Fails to Extract content CFileLibrary::GetFullName failed; 0x80070003

I am trying to prestage content on a new DP. I have created all the required Prestage Content Files and copied them onto the new DP. I then run ExtractContent.exe to add the content to the Content Library on the new DP. This starts ok and content is successfully
being uncompressed and extracted. However when it gets to a particular package the process comes to halt. Looking in PreStageContent.log I have

How do I extract content

I need to find a way in which to extract the content from a
web site that is located in an edible region which I've named
"Body." It doesn't matter if the content is extracted as an HTML
file, a text file, or another form. I just need to be able to
easily get at that specific content in order to create a Word
document using the same content. Is there a simple way to do so
without having to manually extract that information from each html
page? FYI, I'm using Dreamweaver 7.

Extracting content of word document

Hi everybody,
I need to create an application, where the user can enter formated text. (like in Transaction SO10).
If I understand it correctly, the document bound to datasource cannot be in RTF format.
Does anybody know, how i can extract the content (the text and the formats) from a the native .doc format?

In order to perform versioning you would upload each version of the word doc into the database using a upload document screen. You can automatically put a version number on each upload. The documents can be downloaded and will automatically open word. If I remember correctly you can pop the browser with the correct url directly from word (after saving the doc of course).
