Can you please explain how to extract elimination data from HFM using "Extract Data" function?

How to export data from Elimination Value dimension member by HAL HFM adapter?

Good day! Is it possible to export HFM 4.0.5 data with HAL from the <Elimination> Value dimension member? In 3.* versions it wasn't and there is Known Issue in the "HFM 3.* Adapter Read Me" file: "The Hyperion Financial Management Adapter exports data using the <entity currency> Value dimension member. The documentation erroneously states that there is a port available for the Value dimension" But there is not such point in the same file for HFM 4.0.5 AND there is Value port in the HFM 4.0.5. Extracting data with zero values for periods without data

Hello Together,
i extracted data from our hfm application from period 1 to 3.
Now i found that some rows begin with period 2 or 3 because there are no data in period 1 or 2.
So my question is, how i can get zero values for periods with no data.
Hope someone can help me.

For the periods with no data, HFM does not have a "0" to offer for the data extraction. Since the default data extract from HFM has each period on it's own row in the *.dat file, I don't understand your comment about rows starting with period 2 or 3. In the *.dat file the row for period 1 simply won't exist. Are you using a custom approach/tool for data extraction?
The only time HFM will offer a "0" where there is indeed no data, is if you extract derived data. You must include calculated data, and even then I believe HFM will only extract a "0" for the first period after a period where there was data, and only for flow accounts (Revenue/Expense). so if you have "100" in period 1, and no data in period 2, such that the derived value YTD for period 2 is "0", then you must include calculated values in the extract and you should see "0" for period 2. However, I don't believe HFM will extract "0" for period 3 - instead it will be blank/missing.
In general it could be very dangerous to force HFM to give zeros where there is no data.

Extract data from domain-value range

Hi,
I have a requirement to extract data from Domain-Value range.
I am using MDM generic extractor(mdmgx)
in 'Maintain ports and check tables' i can create a port but i should mention a table name.
I have a 'DOMAIN'
with a specific value range:
01    text1
02   text2
03   text3
so on...
i need to get these entries as a part of extracted data.
Could you please tell me how to do this?

Hey guys,
you're making things much to complicated. For extracting Domains with MDMGX, the TABLE NAME equals the DOMAIN NAME. Example for domain XFELD that is a common Yes/No Flag:

TABLE NAME equals the domain name.

If you check your system for "table" XFELD, you'll clearly see that it's a domain.

Adding data in internal table using extracted data

I have a requirements in our historical data of material price which adding data that are not existing based on data extracted from standard tables such as A004 and KONP.
Now, i need to use the VALIDFROM (DATAB) value as basis for the latest price.
To make it more clear, see the example below:

How can I join 3 tables while extracting data from SAP R/3?

I have 3 tables with the following columns
Emp table (emp)
emp_id
emp_name
emp_add
Dept table (dept)
dept_id
dept_name
dept_loc
Location table (loc)
loc_id
loc_name
Now. If I want to select data from loc_id = 10 and emp_id between 2000 and 3000
How to join these three tables while extracting data from R/3
join condition
loc.loc_id = dept.loc_id
and dept.dept_id = emp.dept_id
and loc.loc_id =10
and emp.emp_id between 2000 and 3000.
Could any one let me know the procedure to extract this data into BW system.

shouldn't your join condition be:
loc.loc_id = dept.DEPT_LOC
and dept.dept_id = ??
If you can join the three tables then create a generic datasource (RSO) based on a view (create your view with your join in SE11).
Enable the loc_id and the emp_id as selectable in the datasource so you can then select the values from a BW IPack.

Generate Insert Statement Script to Extract Data from Table in Oracle 7i

Hi all, I have an old Oracle legacy system that is running for over 15 years.Every now and then we need to extract data from this table@ ORacle 7i to be imported back to Oracle 10G.
My thoughts are to create a script of Insert statements in oracle 7 and that to be deployed back to Oracle 10G.
I found this scripts in Google and not sure how exactly this works.Any explanation on thsi scripts , would be greatly appreciated.I find this scripst may help to generate a set of insert statements from that table to the latest table at 10G.

How to extract data from xml and insert into Oracle table

I have a large xml file. which will have hundreds of the following transaction tags having column names and there values.
There is a table one of the schema with coulums "actualCostRate","billRate"....etc.
I need to extract the values of these columns and insert into the table

How to extract data from ORCL GL in "full" and not "delta " with FDM ERPI?

Hi
I am using FDM ERPI 11.1.2.1 to extrct data from Oracle eBS 11.
I can see that FDM ERPI extracts data in "delta mode" using the GL_TRACK_BALANCES_DELTA (FDM adds a row in this table after the 1st load of the period").
Is it possible to force the "full mode" in order to reload all the data from Oracle GL for each FDM data load?
Because I don't know why, but I have each month rows which are not imported into FDM.

I had see that I have to install the FDM 11.1.2.1.502 patch in order to see this option in my ERPI adapter options.
I have passed this patch.
So I have the ERPI-FIN-C1 adaptor.
I can see a new option (Time Out Value) but no "Load Data" or "Execution mode" option :-(
Any idea of where the problem come from?

How to extract data from a file?

o to all labview users.
I am currently learning labview to control the network analyzer hp8720
as part of my project. Through my program, i am able to do a sweeping
function with my NA and the sweeping data are written to txt file. and
i want to extract the db value corresponding to a specific frequency.
my txt file is like the following:
MHz   dB
103     0.015
168     2.09
201     2.67e01
I know that we can extract certain selected data by using the some palettes like "read file" and "scan file"
I tried using "scan file" and i couldnt extract the data(ex: the dB
value corresponding to 168MHz) i want successfully....i checked the
help file and did put some syntax in the format string like (%[^2.09]),
but it seems the "scan file" palette was only able to scan the first
line, which gave me "Mhz db".....
is the format of my txt file not correct?
also, i tried using "read file" palettle..and i set the count to "-1"
to read the whole file. someone suggested on the forum that it is
easier to read the whole file and then use array to extract the
selected data.
How can i write to the array using "read file" while specifying the what range of data i want?
Instead of doing that, maybe i can just simply write the db value
related to the specific range of frequency while the program is in a
while loop doing sweeping?
It would be greatly appreciated if someone could me some guidance.

Hi, I have been reading this post It is very interesting and also I
need help. I am doing a project involving scattering matrix (S
parameter) using frequency and time domain analysis. In order to make
use of S parameter in frequency domain from Vector Network Analyzer, I
need to convert S parameters from frequency domain (sweep from 8.2 GHz
to 12.4 GHz) to time domain using inverse chirp z transform or any. I
have no idea how to implement it. Could you please help or guide me how
to implement them. I am using Labview 8.0 and matlab. Please see the attached file for the data in frequency domain both linear , dB magnitude and phase.

How to extract data from a structure?(Data Dictionary)

Hi all,
       This is regarding extracting data from a structure.
For Eg:if we want to extract data from a structure ADDR1_DATA,How will we do that in report programming?Structures on its own has no existence unless it s attached to a database table or view.when am using 'Where used List' on that structure also I am not getting any database tables or views.What can I do about this?

as you said structure does not have any value .. unless something is added to it..
So just use the structure to define the type of the sttructure you want..
Or to include it in your itab like..
data : Begin of itab occurs 0.
       include structure ADDR1_DATA.
data i type i.
       end of itab.
you cannot directly extract data from the structure ADDR1_DATA..

Function Module BAPI_PBSRVAPS_GETDETAIL2 or BAPI_PBSRVAPS_GETDETAIL can help you.
For BAPI BAPI_PBSRVAPS_GETDETAIL, the parameters are:
1) PLANNINGBOOK - the name of your planning book
2) DATA_VIEW - name of your data view
3) KEY_FIGURE_SELECTION - list of key figures you want to read
4) SELECTION - selection parameters which describe the attributes of the data you want to read (e.g. the category or brand). This is basically a list of characteristics and characteristic values.
BAPI_PBSRVAPS_GETDETAIL2 is very similar to BAPI_PBSRVAPS_GETDETAI but is only available from SCM 4.1 onwards.
For the complete list of parameters, you can go to transaction SE37, enter the function module names above and check out the documentation.

I am a student and I start recently learning carbon. I have to do a application which can read and extract data from a sound file and use that data to do some kind of visual representation of the file. I would like to know if someone can give some directions, tutorial,some code sample etc.

My idea is to create an application that can read a sound file( AIFF, MP3 or other) in order to extract some kind of data ( numbers or any values) and use that data to represent the sound file visually.
I dont know which kind of data can be extract from a sound file, and in which way i can manipulate that data to became a visual representation of the sound file. this is what I want to do as my second assignment for a subject at school, introduction to programming. has to be done based in carbon.
