Extracting HTML objects and properties

Has anyone had success in identifying html objects on a web
page source in ColdFusion, and dynamically capturing all the
properties? I have an assignment to map out all objects on my
application.
For example:
<img src="images/iArrowDown.gif" alt="Click to Collapse"
align="absmiddle" width="16" height="16" border="0"
name="openProfileInfo">
Result:
Object: Image
alt: Click to Collapse
width: 16
Thank you.
Mauricio

You might consider changing the syntax in use and specify the DN of the OU on which you would like to apply the permission.
Below is an example of a command that provides permissions on computer accounts under an OU:
dsAcls "OU=Laptops,OU=AcmeCo,DC=ss64,DC=Com" /G Domain\JDoe:GRGE;computer

  • How to (make best) use external js library from html object (need help from dev)

    Ok, on another discussion about rotating full screen backgrounds slideshows, i was orientated to try a small lib named "backstrech"
    I throw myself in, and i really like what we can do with it.
    To use it simply, just make an html object and paste this in :
    <script src="http://musecdn2.businesscatalyst.com/scripts/4.0/jquery-1.8.3.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    <script src="assets/jquery.backstretch.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    <script>
      $.backstretch([
          "http://dl.dropbox.com/u/515046/www/outside.jpg"
        , "http://dl.dropbox.com/u/515046/www/garfield-interior.jpg"
        , "http://dl.dropbox.com/u/515046/www/cheers.jpg"
      ], {duration: 3000, fade: 750});
    </script>
    then add the jquery.backstretch.min.js to your "downloaded files" (file menu > files to download)
    And you’re done.
    Now, i need some help from better developers.
    As you can see, my first line is a call to jquery, the same that we find later in Muse exported code.
    Reason 1 : without this line, jquery is not defined and the plugin won’t work.
    This raises 2 issues :
    - We load twice the same ressource which is useless (100k)
    - loading js is all about having the page hangs while it loads, hence, they are put at the end of the body.
    Does anybody know a way to load this particular html script AFTER we are sure the muse scripts (esp. jquery) have been loaded ?
    (in the Edge Animate world, i’d go for the yepnope, and put it at the right place in the code, though, here i have no access to page load structure except head)
    PS : in addition to that, i made an exported page/excluded from navigation where i put all the images i wanted for the background, i could then simply change the images lines :
    , "http://dl.dropbox.com/u/515046/www/garfield-interior.jpg"
    to
    , "images/my_image_name_as_in_ressources.jpg"

    Got it, there was a bug in my code. Here is what you do:
    1. Download the js file https://raw.github.com/srobbin/jquery-backstretch/master/jquery.backstretch.min.js
    2. In Muse: Go to File -> Add Files for Upload and add the script file
    3. Open Page Properties -> Metadata -> HTML for <Head>
    Paste this code in:
    <script>
    window.onload = function() {
    var loaded = function() {
      $.backstretch([
          "http://dl.dropbox.com/u/515046/www/outside.jpg"
        , "http://dl.dropbox.com/u/515046/www/garfield-interior.jpg"
        , "http://dl.dropbox.com/u/515046/www/cheers.jpg"
      ], {duration: 3000, fade: 750});
    //Load the plugin:
    var head= document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0];
    var script= document.createElement('script');
    script.type= 'text/javascript';
    script.onreadystatechange = loaded;
    script.onload = loaded;
    script.src= 'assets/jquery.backstretch.min.js';
    head.appendChild(script);
    }; //Window OnLoad
    </script>
    4. Preview or Publish = Done!

    Hi,
    you have to divide the process into several steps:
    get the image tag at the caret position
    read it' properties
    bring up a window with ooptions to change those properties
    remove the existing image tag
    place a new image tag with the new properties at the caret position
    alternately you can change the properties of the existing image tag.
    There a reloads of threads in this forum about how to change tag properties or the tag structure of a HTML document, so I omit this. Please try to do a search for such topics in this forum.
    A GUI (Java classes ImageDialog and ImagePreview) for entering image properties is available at http://www.calcom.de/eng/dev/index.htm
    Directly changing a table's width with the mouse is more complex, because you'd have to constantly write new width properties for the table and update the document while the mouse is moved. Probably better would be to bring up a dialog window to change the table properties instead.
    Hope this helps

  • Help: Problem with scrolling my html items and placed objects they keep cutting through my top menu

    Basically whenever i place an html item in my Muse site or an object I encounter a problem when scrolling down past that object in the preview. I have a horizontal menu bar that sits on the top of my site and whenever I scroll down the html items and objects
    cut through my menu. Is there any way to rectify this? - i've tried pinning objects but can't figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

    So you have a pinned Menu in the Master page but is being overlayed by the objects in page when you scroll down? If that is the case, select the Menu in the Master, right click on it and Move To Master Foreground.
    Thanks,

  • How to extract list of object and formula used in variables as Excel for a particular Webi Report

    Hi,
    Is it possible to get the list of variables and objects, and variable formula used in a webi report extracted in excel or PDF in BO XI R3.1?
    Thanks In Advance,
    Shenbu

    Hi Shenbaga,
    You can try to get this information using the report engine sdks of BusinessObjects which is specific to webi reports.
    Please refer to the link to download the dev guide and api referrence for XI 3.1
    SAP BusinessObjects BI 3.x and Lower - Developer SDK Library
    Refer to the Report Engine Java SDK dev guide and api referrence.
    Go through the dev guide in detail and you would be able to use the report engine sdks as per your needs.
    Additional Note: There have been changes in report engine sdks from XI 3.1 to BI 4.0 and you would not be able to get all the features available in XI 3.1 report engine sdks in BI 4.0.
    Hope this helps.

  • Flash AS3 OOP = Can 1 objects class find and change another objects xy properties?

    What I have is a game with a Level object, inside the Level is a Player object, and they don't have instance names given, what I'm trying to figure out is how to do is make it so that the player can change the x or y properties of the Level object.
    To be more precise, I'm making it so that when the player moves in a certain direction, he either moves accross the stage, or he starts moving the Level object around the stage, it'd be in an Event kind of function, now I can easily make the Player move, but I don't know how to make the Level object move which the player is inside of.
    Is anyone able to help me on this please?

    I tried a simple getter setter idea, but it doesn't seem to work
    public class Mover
      private var _moveValue:Number = 5;
    public function Mover()
      Player.shift = _moveValue;
    public class Player
    private var _vx = 0;
    public static function set shift (_move:number):void
      _vx = _move;
    public function Player
    addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, onEnterFrame);
    function onEnterFrame(event:Event):void
    x += _vx;
    Thats with my limited imagination and knowledge of AS3 here so far... is that going completely wrong? If so are there any good examples or tutorials I could check out to get a better idea of what I'm trying to do?

  • HELP! Where I can find the InDesign Object Model, Methods, and Properties?

    I've done a little VB scripting with InDesign, using some of the examples I've found here and there. But I can't for the life of me find a full listing of the Object Model, nor a listing of methods and properties. I'm limited in what I can do by stumbling upon objects here and there in others' scripts. Surely this must be documented somewhere.
    One thing that's particularly confusing to me (partly because I'm not well-versed in JS), is I'll see something the following
    app.selection[0].fit(FitOptions.frameToContent)
    where "FitOptions.frameToContent" seems to reference a constant, presumably in a structure. How do I determine the actual constant value, or supply an object reference (as I'm scripting from a stand-alone VB app) such that it can "find" that constant?

    I don't know how VB5 works, but when you add reference to InDesign and declare variable, for example:
    Dim myInDi as InDesign.Application
    then when you write somewhere "myInDi." - VB6 IDE give you context list with all methods and properties of InDesign application

  • How to parse html for and display hyperlinks?

    I'm trying to design a report that has a text field that contains html formatted text and includes links. These links need to be clickable in a thick client Java application I'm developing and the only way I can see in Crystal Developer to make a clickable link is to have a discrete text element with a hyperlink (set using the hyperlink tab in the element properties) for each link.
    The problem I have is that there can be any number of links in the html and I need a scalable way to extract and display these links.
    So far I have used formulas in Crystal Developer to parse the html and extracte the links into a fixed size array and then display each link in a separate text element. I would like to be able to have only one 'link' text element in the report design and create as many link elements as required depending on how many links are present in the html.
    How is this possible? With some funky grouping voodoo maybe, or something else? Please help me achieve this.
    Cheers,
    Elliot.

    Hi Elliot,
    Follow these steps, and check the output.
    1.Right click on the field object and select "Format Editor".
    2.Click on the "Paragraph" tab and select the "Text interpretation" as "RTF Text" or "HTML Text".
    3.Click on "Ok" button.
    Hope this helps.

  • Need help creating custom objects and adding them to an array.

    Hi Everyone,
    So I'm dinking around in Powershell today and I'm failing at creating an array of custom objects.  I want to create a HTML report that builds out after every MDT image update. To do that, I need to collect my data on what's contained in each build.
    Here's my current script in progress -
    function Parse-Dependents($fullname){
    #PARAMETER SWITCHING
    if(!($fullname)){
    $dependents = get-dependents
    if($fullname){
    $dependents = get-dependents -fullname $fullname
    #SPIN THROUGH ARRAY OF GUIDS FROM GET-DEPENDENTS
    foreach($d in $dependents){
    #SPIN THROUGH EACH APP IN APPLICATIONS.XML
    foreach ($app in $apps){
    #IF MATCH THEN ADD OBJECT WITH PROPERTIES
    if($d -match $app.guid){
    #ADD APPLICATION MATCH TO THE ARRAY
    $applications = @{
    'Name' = $app.ShortName;
    'GUID' = $app.Guid;
    'Version' = $app.Version;
    'Last Modified Time' = $app.LastModifiedTime;
    'Last Modified By' = $app.LastModifiedBy;
    'Install Directory' = [string]'\\my\path\to\MDT\' + $app.WorkingDirectory.TrimStart(".","\")
    'CommandLine' = $app.CommandLine;
    new-object -typename PSObject -property $applications
    #RETURN MATCHED ARRAY
    return $applications
    It all works great until I look at my output and see that I get my expected properties and array, but at the end it's created additional empty entries for each of my initial properties I assigned.  So I get my list of apps like this :
    powershell.ex... OrgChart Plugin  \\my\mdt\server\ XX\user                     9/22/2014 5:... {ffee7497-0c...
    And then below it :
                     CommandLine
                     Name
                     Install Direc...
                     Last Modified By
                     Version
                     Last Modified...
                     GUID
    And these are all listed under the Name property.  I'm still pretty new to PS (8 months or so now), and rarely have to create a custom object, but this seems like a case for doing so to create a custom html report.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
    Ryan

    It's not really all that strange.
    If you look at your script, you're not outputting the hash table until both loops finish.  The values are dependent on the properties of the $app objects enumerated in the inner loop, and only outputting an object if the dependent ($d) matches the $app
    guid property.
    At the end, you're outputting the hash table without that test, so it's going to have values based on the last $app in the loop, regardless of whether the guid matches the dependents or not.
    [string](0..33|%{[char][int](46+("686552495351636652556262185355647068516270555358646562655775 0645570").substring(($_*2),2))})-replace " "

  • How to extract HTML table contents

    Does someone know how to extract HTML table contents? I want to download a html file which contains table from internet and extract the table contents. Finally, insert the table contents into database.

    To do this you have to user a Parser to parse your html file and retrieve the information you want.
    Please have a look at the following classes:
    HTMLEditorKit.ParserCallback
    ParserDelegator()
    Here is an example which retrives the FRAMSET src of an html file. The purpose here is to find if the html file describes a multi-frame page or not. If so it add the frame src name to a Vector
    HTMLEditorKit.ParserCallback callback =
    new HTMLEditorKit.ParserCallback() {                      public void handleSimpleTag(HTML.Tag t,      MutableAttributeSet a, int pos)
         if (t.equals(HTML.Tag.FRAME))
    {                                          Logger.debug(this, "Frame tag found in "+f.getURL());                      Enumeration e = a.getAttributeNames();
    while (e.hasMoreElements())
                             Object name = e.nextElement();
                             if (name.toString().equals("src"))
                                  Object ob = a.getAttribute(name);
                                  Logger.debug("found an src "+ob);
                                  currentFrameSrc.add(new String(ob.toString()));
                   Reader reader = new FileReader(aFile);
                        new ParserDelegator().parse(reader, callback, false);
    It's not clean but I hope it will help :-)

  • Can we extract blob objects from sql database to a human readable format?

    Hi All,
    I have question How can we extract
    blob objects from Sql database to human readable format ?
    Blob includes Images, text and docs.
    Thanks

    Best Regards Moug

    One thing you can do if its sql 2012 or later is to load the blob data to FileTable created in database. Then you would be able to physically browse to directory it points and see all files in its native format.
    see this for more details

    According to the ECMAScript 4 specs, instance properties
    should remain non-numerable even after value assignment. But in
    ActionScript 2 an instance property becomes enumerable after it is
    assigned a value (unless the value assignment is part of the
    property declaration). This might change as ActionScript evolves.
    Class properties - declared as static - are enumerable with a
    for-in loop. And dynamic properties are enumerable.
    ActionScript 2 doesn't support the ECMAScript 4 enumerable
    attribute but you can use the undocumented ASSetPropFlags()
    function (Google -> ASSetPropFlags).
    In short: just (almost) following the standard.

  • HTML Editors and Greek Language

    Hi all,
    When using the HTML Editor the value that is stored in the database
    is
    &Delta &epsilon &nu &upsilon &pi ά&rho &chi &epsilon &iota&alpha &pi ό&theta &epsilon &mu &alpha (Deleted ; in the end of each character so that I can show you what I mean).
    instead of Δεν υπάρχει απόθεμα
    This doesn't happen when I use text item or text area.
    Can I do something about it?

    FrontPage 97 / 98 have both worked really well for us, however we
    discovered a slight hitch with 98 where the Editor would gobble up
    <?FORTE ..> tags inside the SELECT OPTION tag, but you can work around
    that one, apart from this FP98 is a great HTML editor. I also thought
    HotMetal was a good fit.These observations come out of evaluating about
    5-6 leading HTML editors.
    Some recommended steps in the process:
    1) Create a prototype by laying out all the HTML using an Editor. Figure
    out all the navigation within your web. More recent features seen in
    HTML editors such as JavaScript generation and DHTML / CSS support are
    really difficult to work out on your own, let the advanced Editors do as
    much dirty work for you as poss.
    2) Once the prototype is finalized, for all the pages requiring any
    dynamic content generation, figure out all the Tag Handlers you will
    need. Change the HTML Content by inserting the FORTE tags as required,
    code the corresponding Handlers.
    3) Figure out the relation between page requests and the security
    requirements for your pages, design the Session properties and data
    tracing across requests using the Session object.
    4) Do refer to all the Tech Notes on the Forte web site for known
    issues.
    As for the Java applets frontend, we have used Java - IIOP - Forte since
    early beta through every Forte release (3.0.X) and it works fine with
    WebEnterprise and release 30f2.

    code the corresponding Handlers.

    Subject: WebEnterprise - HTML Editors and Java
    I'd like to know any opinions on HTML editors and their use with
    WebEnterprise. Have any of you done
    evaluations to determine the best editor to use with the Forte
    product? Also,
    do you have experience using
    a Java applet as the front-end to a Forte service object? In this
    instance,
    are you able to do so with Forte 30f2 and
    WebSDK?
    Thanks,
    Peggy Adrian
