Extracting portion of a recorded waveform

Hi. I'm using NI RF Phase-Coherent Multi-Channel Version 1.1. I'm recording and then playing back a signal. Is there a way that I could just playback a portion of the recorded waveform? For example, capturing a portion in the "middle" of the entire duration of the waveform? Thank you.

This is possible, but not currently supported by the NI RF Mulrichannel software.I will add this as a possible feature for the next version.
One way to workaround this and still use this software without any modifications would be to create a new binary data file containing just the portion of data you wish to regenerate, and then replacing the original data file with this new file.

i have one doubt about data extraction.
here in my scenario i have one DSO & Infocube in modeling .
Source DSO for Data extraction :
DSO is having 10 fields in design .
2 are Key fields
8 are Data fields
& we have enabled some navigation attributes of those key fields in DSO.
target Infocube for data loading :
4 keyfigure & rest all are characteristics designed in Dimension properly
DSO --> Cube loading :
Source DSO is having 10 records when i triggered loading it is extracting more that 10 records .
when i check the records in Debugging it is showing more that 10 records because of DSO keyfields & navigation attribute combination .
it is forming more number records than original 10 records.
i don't know whether is it right or wrong ?
example here i am giving:
if we assume source DSO is having only one record but it is extracting 4 records with the same key.

Check OSS Note 1145673
Steps to be performed:
1. Apply the OSS note in the dev system
2. OSS note might de-activate the transformation and DTP.
3. Note down the transformation and DTP which gets de-activated because of this OSS note.
4. Also send out a mail to BW community saying you are gonna apply this OSS note and ask them to check thier objects whether it is getting impacted by this oss note or not.
5. Ask everyone to check the data load and the data is getting populated or not.
6. Apply OSS note in QA and production. Also before applying the OSS in QA and production collect the objects which are getting impacted by this note in dev.
7. After applying the oss note in QA, send the collected Transforamtions and DTPs to the QA and do a test in QA as well.
8. Finally apply the oss note in production and transport the impacted transformations and DTP in production.

I need to be able to extract portions of a pdf. I downloaded the trial of Adobe XI but did not do the full version

Is there a way to change the trial version I chose? Or is there a way to extract portions of a pdf within what I have? I chose the trial that said most popular. It allows me to split documents, but I need to be able to take out specific parts. Does anyone have any advice? Thank you so much!

you could use a generic extractor and use the delta functionality and using RSA3 you can export it to Excel ??? but then if you want to automate - you can have the same done in a function module extractor and point the output to a flat file.

Quick question about recorded waveforms

I have been recording a lot of guitar lately and seem to be doing everything right in terms of levels and gain-staging. However, the recorded waveform seem to be very "thin"--or, it dosn't seem to take up much space in the arrange window. Is this normal, or should the recorded waveform be "fatter" and take up more space vertically? Does anyone have a picure of a normal recorded file in Logic? Thanks for the help.

They can look very different, depending on the source.

All depending on the part/performance you could have any of these results.
What you want to be aware of is the input level in LP. Experiment with your equipments output levels, until you are hitting the input at a desired level. There are many threads and opinions here on what that level should be.

Extracting portions of the timeline from iMovie to create a 'Sound File'

I recently used my Cannon GL2 as a field recorder to record 16 bit audio sound effects.
I'd like to extract certain portions of the timeline to create various 'Sound Files' which will be used later (as sound effects), in either iMovie, or FCE HD.
In iMovie HD, the only method I'm familiar with to extract a portion of the timeline to a 'Sound File', is to FIRST export that portion to a Quicktime File. Then I use 'Sound Studio 2.2.4' to import the Quicktime File. In Sound Studio, I can then create either an AIFF File, or Wav File.
From there, I open iTunes, and import the Wav File. Now I convert that Wav File to an MP3 (if I need to compress the size of the file).
I know I can import Raw DV Video Files (Captures), into Garage Band, but then I can't export that edited project into a Sound File.
But I do know I can use Garage Band to edit (EQ), a portion of the timeline, then Export that portion (as I explained above). But I'm still going through some extra steps .....
With all I'm mentioned, perhaps I need to get another software program in order to eliminate a step on my way to exporting a portion of a Video timeline from either iMovie, or FCE, and get straight to creating a sound file suitable for later import back into FCE, or iMovie?

Now I wonder if I can extract just a 'PORTION' of the timeline? I tried to insert division points without actually cutting out all the unwanted stuff, and highlighted just that portion, but the Audio Extract process reverts back to extracting the ENITIRE timeline. So I guess I'd have to actually cut and delete all the unwanted parts, then 'save as' to that NEW iMovie project reflecting just that edit in order to extract JUST that audio piece?
I wonder if the process is more precise in FCE?

Recorded waveform not visible in region

Hi.
I had to re-record a backing vocal track on a song I am working on.
I was experimenting with the Sample Editor on the original track and, basically destroyed it.
However, the new track doesn't show a waveform in the region.
It was visible while recording and is visible in the Sample Editor and it plays ok.
After recording, a small dialogue box appeared which said it was analyzing the track and then the waveform subsequently disappeared.
Can anyone help me with this?

Currently i have APEX in node 1 and DB along with listener in node 2.
Using DADs.config file in APEX(node1) im trying to connect to the DB(node2). Im not sure with the listener im using. Im using the listener which comes with the DB. Whether is this the APEX listener.

Is extracting AIFF files from Recorder iPhone application possible?

I'm using the iPhone app Recorder and it utilizes an email client to send the recorded aiff files. Unfortunately, they currently have a 2 minute limit on the recordings that can be emailed from your iphone.
I have some recordings on the iPhone that I really want off it. How would I go about doing this?
*Is there an another application I can purchase that can find the files and then extract them to my computer?
*Do I need to hack the iphone? If I need to hack into it, what would be the best route?
*Am I just out of luck until they update the application?
I'm satisfied with my 2.01 and At&t so my only reason for breaking into it would be to get these files. I don't want to change things too much.

Record waveform wav file

Hello,
I am trying to record a waveform in a wav file. If i play the waveform with the VI Labview the quality of the sound is ok but when i try to make the wav file the quality is not ok. I attached the file i want to save as a wav file and the VI i programmed. Thanks a lot!
Another question: There is any way to stop playing the waveform (or stop the program) when it enters into the "Play Waveform.vi"?

Extracts abended because no records extracted --- no activity from database

I got multiple extract group running last night , however when I checked this morning, all are abended with no records extracted mentioned.
How do I be sure all the extracts keep running all the time during migration?

How do I extract Data from a 1D Waveform into individual channels to be used for calculations on a live data page

Hello All,
I am a fairly new user to Labview and am currently creating a program that: monitors sensor inputs from various CompactDAQ modules (9213, 9217), does error checking, then uses the data in some final calculations, such as averaging etc. I have put together a small piece of code that includes the main functions that I am trying to accomplish. Right now I am fairly comfortable with getting the channels set up and assigned, then passing this data into a while loop that continually pulls data from these sensors.
I have the calculations vi complete and the channel inputs UI complete, now I am working on the reading and data manipulation side of things. The 1D Waveform that is coming out of read function is being broken up into the components that I am interested in (String Name and Y data). It then pass this information out of the loop through a queue which passes it along to the parallel loop below which will perform the error checking and the averaging calculations. There are some things that complicate this. I have shown 2 sensors in my example, but in the actual program, there can be up to 400 inputs. The issue is that not all these sensors will be used on every test that the software is used for. To use the inputs in the test VI as an example: If I am trying to average these 2 inputs to create a common value, but then on one test, sensor 2 is not there, it needs to recognize this and not use this in the averaging function.
So to get right down to it, I want to create something that can look through the clusters of data from the 1D Waveform, determine what these values are, then do the necessary functions to those numbers once they are identified, then pass them onto the Calculations VI where it then displays the usable information for the user. I think I am having an issue with determing how to sort as everything I have thought of makes me think there has to be an easier way.
Has anyone encountered this? Does my explaination of what I am trying to do make sense? Let me know and I can clarify.

As far as functionality goes, I don't see anything wrong. when it comes to efficiency you need to keep some general pointers in mind. These issues which I'm bringing up will not affect your code currently since your array sizes are small but can start creating memory fragmentaion and slow down the software if your array sizes are much larger and the software runs for a long period of time.
1. Try not to use Build Array. Each time you use a built array labview creates a copy in the memory. Try to initilized your arrays and replace the subsets.
2. as much as you can try not index arrays or unbundle cluster multiple times. try to perform as many tasks as possbile in one shot. (this was evident in your second loop)
Besides that it's looking good.
I made a few modifications to your code and attached it. I wanted to give you a different take on it as it relates to being able to control the inputs and outputs programitically, if you had a look up table. I didn't make the same modifications to your second loop but I can guide you through what needs to be done if you would like to move in this direction. Again your original code is well done for someone who is new to labview so don't feel like you need to follow the new VI design. Just try to remove the build array and multiple indexing as a good programming habbit.

Extracting portions of a sequence

New to Premiere Pro. Using Lynda.com and classroom in a book to learn.
I have a large single .AVI file (2 hours) I want to break it into multiple .AVI files as each portion is different subject so I can name the files ABC.avi DEF.avi for later use. Can not seem to find the easiest way to do this. A point in the right direction would be appreciated.
