F4 help in user created table

Hi all,
i have created a ztable..in that i have a field pernr. i need to have f4 help in screen for entering the data. how to get the F4 help ..

"Check table
'For example you have Employee master table & Employee Transaction
'table.
When ever an employee Transacts we need to check whether that employee exists , so we can refer to the employee master table.
This is nothing but a Parent & Child relationship . Here data can be maintained at client level , no development involved.
As per DBMS what we call foregin key table, is called as check table in SAP.
There is 1 more important Difference in Value Table and Check Table is that:
1. The contents of the check will be used as an input help(F4 Help) for a particular field on which a check table is assigned.
But the contents of Value Table are never used in Input Help.
The Heirarchy which decides from where to used the Input Help is:
1. Input help defined explicitly in ABAP Program or Dialog Module.
2. Input Help Attached to the referenced Database Table field.
3. Using the contents of Check Table as an input help if neither (1) or (2) help are there.
4. Input help from Fixed value or Value range given in Domain.
so goto your ztable .... in change mode place the cursour in the PERNR field .. press the Foreign key relation ...in the Dialog box put pa0001 table name as Check table and select the PERNR field .
press enter save, Activate ..
now see in the check table relation exsist for the field PERNR .
Now you can execute your program as using :
"  Parameter : pernr  for ztable-pernr  .
reward points if itis usefull.....

  • How to get the user created tables.

    hi,
    i'm new to oracle 10g xe. i created 3 tables and inserted data successfully. i want to show the list of all tables which are created by the user.
    in the previous versions i used the syntax, "select * from tab;".
    it retreives all the tables created by user and oracle.
    i need any syntax to get only the user created tables.

  • OID users ( EUS) problem with grant create table with admin

    Hi,
    We activated enterprise users in the OID.
    There is a role APP_ADMIN that has the following grants:
    create user
    drop user
    create table with admin option
    this is for an application that creates BI schemas, so it needs to be able to create other users.
    I have granted these to a local role, and the user has access to the local role, thanks to the OID setup.
    The create and drop user work.
    however, the grant create table to another user does not work.
    Is there an issue with 'with admin option' grants in Enterprise user security?
    Regards,
    Peter

    If I grant
    grant create table to test_role with admin option;
    it does not work
    if I grant
    GRANT GRANT ANY PRIVILEGE to test_role WITH ADMIN OPTION;
    it does work.
    The test command as user with test_role is:
    grant create table to test_usr;
    very strange!
    If the user is a standard user and I create role test_role
    and grant create table to test_role with admin option it works.
    but if I convert the user to an EUS user and the same privilege is given to the role ( role is granted to a global role to an enterprise role)
    it doesnt work

  • Query to find out the sessions trying to create table.

    Hi Folks,
    I wanted to know the sessions that are trying to create tables. I'm trying to use the query... but not getting the correct results...
    These are the three versions of queries i wrote..
    SELECT A.SID,A.USERNAME,A.SQL_ID,B.SQL_TEXT FROM V$SESSION A,V$SQLTEXT B
    WHERE A.STATUS='ACTIVE'
    AND A.SQL_ID=B.SQL_ID
    AND B.SQL_TEXT LIKE '%INSERT%' OR B.SQL_TEXT LIKE '%insert%'
    SELECT A.SID,A.USERNAME,A.SQL_ID,B.SQL_TEXT FROM V$SESSION A,V$SQLTEXT B
    WHERE A.SID IN (SELECT SID FROM V$SESSION WHERE STATUS='ACTIVE')
    AND A.SQL_ID=B.SQL_ID
    AND B.SQL_TEXT LIKE '%INSERT%' OR B.SQL_TEXT LIKE '%insert%'
    select sid, serial#, status, username, osuser,machine,sql_id from v$session
    where sql_id in (select sql_id from v$sqltext where SQL_TEXT like '%INSERT%'
    union
    select sql_id from v$sqltext where SQL_TEXT like '%insert%')
    But its not giving me the correct results. Can any one help me with a query to determine a way to catch the sessions trying to create tables.
    Thanks

    I'm not sure why this needs further explanation. A database is a conceptual and logical whole, it is not a dumpground. Databases are designed prior to their creation, after their creation only the content of the database change, not the database itself.
    Having end-users creating tables on the fly means you have no control over the database and also no control over it's integrity and consistency.
    Basically this means your database has been converted into a garbage dump.
    End-users creating tables on the fly is a big nono in my book, and whoever develops an application creating tables on the fly should be shown to the door of unemployment.
    You would either set up audit and issue audit table as explained before, or revoke the create table privilege from all end-users. Personally I prefer the last approach, and I wouldn't even consider the former.

  • How to create a Foreign key relationship between 2 user defined tables...

    Hi Folks,
    I have created two user defined tables... Where in i want to create foriegn key relationship between the 2 tables.... Can anyone guide the step by step procedure to do this scenario...
    Any help would be highly appreciated...
    Thanks

    Hi
    1.  In the 2nd table call the field of the 1st table which is a primary key.
    2.  Give the same field and dataelement name.
    3.  Select that field and then click on the foreign key field icon which is beside Search Help button.
    4. Then give short text, and the 1st table name.
    5. Then in the below box give the 2nd table name and 2nd table field name which you have called from 1st table.
    6. Then click on copy, then u will be able to see Check table name and check table field name beside foreign key table name.
    7. Then again click on copy.

  • Error creating user defined tables: Ref count (-1120)

    Hi all !
    I have to create user defined tables per code, so I wrote <b>2 main functions</b>, first <i>to create a table</i> (with TableName,TableType and TableDescription properties)and  and <i>second to add fields</i> (to a certain table which is sent as parameter).
    I call these functions to create multiple tables. For the first 6 tables it works totally ok. But beginning from the 7th table it gives that "<b>Ref count for this object is higher then 0.</b> " (-1120) error. All parameters are ok just as the first 6 tables.
    Found such an explanation like below in help files.
    <i>The DI API allows only one instance of a meta data object at a time. This maintains data integrity by preventing any manipulation of a business object while modifying the object's user fields. Therefore, verify that no other DI object is active except the meta data object.</i>
    But why do I get such an error after sixth call of the function (but not beginning from the second table )?

  • How to give a user rights to create tables etc

    I have 2 users for my database 'pmi'
    First user is 'sys' which connects as 'SYSDBA'
    Second user is 'user1' which connects as 'Normal'
    I see that with the user 'sys' I am able to create a table in the database. Also insert row, read it, delete it and drop table.
    But with 'user1' I am unable to do any of the operations above. If I try to create a table it gives an error saying 'ORA-01031: insufficient privileges'
    when I login to the Enterprise Manager webpage using the 'sys' login as SYSDBA, I see that in 'Administration' tab-> Users & Privileges->Users->SYS->System Privileges, it has the system privilages like create table, with Admin Option set to 'Y'
    But when I check for 'user1' in the 'sys' login only, I see that there is only one system privilege, 'SELECT ANY DICTIONARY' which is set to 'Y'.
    How do I give rights to 'user1' so that it can use the create, insert, select, delete and drop API(s).
    Please help, it is urgent.

    The obvious reason why you not able to create table and other operations because of user1 does not have the appropriate privilages to do so.so grant
    user1 appropriate privilages so that, he can perform basic operations against your database.
    the below given command will get this for you.
    sql > grant select any table to user1;
    sql > grant create any table to user1 ;
    sql > grant delete table to user1 ;

    thanks and regards
    Parag

    If you need to add table using a program, you have to use the UserTableMD object. Once table is created you can add fields using UserFieldsMD object.
    Help is available with SDK help center.
    Once table is created, you can add data using RecordSet objects, UserTables Objects etc.
    You can also create table and fields using SBO (Tools->Customization Tools->User-Defined Tables - Setup...) and
    (Tools->Customization Tools->User-Defined Fields - Management...) etc.

    BUT the problem is still present, i don't know what to do now !
    Please could some body help me !
    Thanks alot!
    Luong.

    The clue is in the error message: the OUTLN schema is missing.
    This is something Oracle 8i introduced to help manage the CBO (or soemthing equally geeky and internal). For some reason your database no longer has this user. It ought to be created automatically during installation (or upgrade) but catproct may not have completed probably or some over zealous admin type has dropped it.
    Solution is to re-install (or re-upgrade) as you cannot create this user on their own. Alas.
