F55 S-Log & S-Gamut

Does anyone know how to change the color space of an F55 MXF file from 709 to SLog/SGamut After Effects?
Is that possible?
If not, do any of you have a good workflow for working on the 4K Raw F55 data in After Effects.
Convert to 16 bit Tiff in Resolve perhaps?
It seems silly to be able to mount Sony Raw files without access to the Raw data, so I'm hoping that I'm missing something.

Site to Site VPN Problems With 2801 Router and ASA 5505

Hello,
I am having some issue setting up a site to site ipsec VPN between a Cisco 2801 router and a Cisco ASA 5505. I was told there was a vpn previously setup with an old hosting provider, but those connections have been servered. Right now I am trying to get the sites to talk to the 2801. Need help setting up static NAT to internal server

One of my internal servers requires it to be available to the internet I am having a hard time allowing it to be NATed through my Ciscc 2801 router. It seems as though im missing something small. From what I can gather it seems as though its as issue with ACL, but im not sure. I have ran the following command: ip nat inside source static tcp 192.168.5.1 ***WAN IP Address*** 8443 extendable Then I tried to add it to the ACL
via this command: access-list 150 permit tcp any host ***WAN IP Address*** eq 8443

How do I find S Log 2 LUT (Sony F55) and apply to clips?

I watched the tutorial on using LUTS in CC, hoever I cannot find any for the Sony F55 camera and Slog2 profile. Does it exist and if not then what is the usual procedure for applying a LUT in this case? My first experience with this process so forgive my ignorance.

Check out the LUTs on the Sony Community site: http://community.sony.com/t5/F5-F55/NEW-3D-LUT-s-for-F55-and-F65/m-p/135617#U135617 Those should get you started.
To apply the LUT, add a Lumitri effect, and then navigate to the LUT to select it. Click OK and you will be able to see the LUT working on your footage.

What is the best proxy format to use when working with S-Log in a linear colourspace?

I have been working with some Sony F55 footage shot against a green screen. I am working in a 16bit s-rbg colourspace
I made proxies out of the source which were photo-jpeg movs, nice n fast.
However it is clamped the colour values in the proxy with what looks like an s-curve which has subsequently made my keying settings significantly different (i.e far more contrasty) when switching between proxy and original.
So what would be the best way to go about converting some log-s footage to a fast proxy format without messing with key effects parameters by such a troublesome amount. I can live with a small difference of course.

Do you have any suggestions (when i do use proxies for log-c/s footage in general) for a decent format?
Would applying a linear output profile adjustment layer make a difference to a lesser format? Or do compressed formats bypass output profiles?
I only ask as I do a lot more compositing with linear footage these days and my machine struggles when it goes into a deep composite

Logging Framework available as an extension?

Does anybody know if the Logging Framework available in JDK 1.4 beta 2 is available as an extension to be used with JDK 1.3?

Couple of days later and I've tried out lumberjack..
The good news is that it works, but as usual there's several serious issues to consider..
Lumberjack obivously needs to use the same package (java.util.logging) as the logging API, which prevents developers from loading the jar normally at which point you get java.lang.SecurityException: Prohibited package name. The release note suggest a couple of ways around this but basically consist of adding lumberjack to the bootclasspath: -Xbootclasspath/a:./jars/logging.jar
I had to problems here, this means I can't use webstart because it doesn't allow changes to these jre parameters and runs fowl of the sun licence, to quote from the tool docs:
"-Xbootclasspath/p:path
Specify a semicolon-separated path of directories, JAR archives, and ZIP archives to prepend in front of the default bootstrap class path. Note: Applications that use this option for the purpose of overriding a class in rt.jar should not be deployed as doing so would contravene the Java 2 Runtime Environment binary code license."
The second problem I had was with the loading of the logging.properties file, which needs to sit under the jre/lib directory; obviously it isn't present under jdk1.3, 1.2 so either you need make a copy there; or override it's location by changing the java.util.logging.config.file.
Primarly because of the licence issues, this means that I can't honestly use the java.util.logging package and expect cross compatibilty - so my only realistic option is to forget it and use something like apache Log4j instead which works under the full jre gamut..
Wasted a lot of time over this, hope this helps anybody else from making the same mistakes.

Deliver Us From Evil feature film F55 LUT

All,
Courtesy of Sony Pictures Colorworks team we are making available the F55 LUT used on Deliver us from Evil feature film.
It is a combination of a bleach bypass look with the ACES RRT v0.1.1.
Input: SLog2-SGamut
This could be:
- camera SDI tap with NO scaling applied to the full-range signal
- RAW processed to S-Log2-SGamut
Output: Rec709 / BT.1886 signal
- Calibrate display for 100 nits, gamma 2.4, dim surround
- Outputs full / extended range, 0-1023
This is designed specifically for this setup using S-Log2-SGamut. The camera did not support SLog3 at the time so if used with the new SLog3 with newer SGamut could yield undesirable results.

Just for fun had a play with rebaking this LUT after an S-Log3 to S-Log2 1D LUT (treating S-Gamut3 as S-Gamut for the LUT) and also after a 65x65x65 S-Log3/S-Gamut3.cine to S-Log2/S-Gamut 3D LUT (using a basic matrix). That gave a pair of LUTs scaled the same way as the one just uploaded by PeterC is described, ie Extended / Full range in Extended / Full Range out. I then did some simple scaling to shift the output to legal(ish) range, ie 0-1.0 is legal but including values below 0 and between 1.0 and 1.09. This should then work as an MLUT, so I loaded it in the camera (I usually clip negative numbers to 0, but the camera doesn't seem concerned) and seem to be getting something like the extremely crunchy, blueish look expected. As the MLUT's not clipped you can load that in Resolve and go data range in to legal range out and pull the areas beyond back into range. If used as a baked-in MLUT anything below 0% IRE won't show up on the waveform and will be clipped in the recording. As I say, just for fun and knocked up in a hurry whilst bored after a quick job so caveat emptor if it bares no resemblence :-) :

SAP message Log

Does SAP maintain log of all the messages displayed on screen using MESSAGE statement?
We are investigating a problem and want to see the messages displayed by SAP during the time when problem occured.

We have custom development for picking and confirmation. Last week we found that in some deliveries there is difference in delivered quantity and packed quantity.
Custom development is calling sap-standard FMs. Problem occurs randomly, roughly 10 deliveries in a week has this problem.
We are still trying to investigate the reason that is causing the problem.
Custom program does display the message to user if FM raise any message. We asked user of they are getting any message while picking, and if they are ignoring it.
They just confirmed that they are getting message 'Packing Not Possible Since there is no Quantity to be Packed' and they did ignored this.

Preciso de uma ajuda de vocês...
Estamos na fase de validação de um projeto de NFe 3.10, e o abap já realizou toda a aplicação de notas necessárias.
O problema é que o cliente percebeu que uma funcionalidade de "exibir logs" foi desativada logo após a aplicação dessas notas!
Antes quando ele fazia a J1B1N por exemplo, aparecia conforme as imagens abaixo:
E pelo que eles perceberam, agora esse botão e esses logs não aparecem mais.
Alguém sabe dizer porque ? Alguém já passou por isso ?

I have developed a Java project. It consists of 2 SQLJ files and then a Java class. When I try to execute the Java program, I get a Java error:

Hi,
the problem one year ago was that the SQLException class was not available through remote access. I don't know if that might have been changed meanwhile in the latest release.
I implemented a simple work around: I caught every SQL-exception in the method where it was thrown, wrapped the exception message and any nested exception in a self written exception and threw this new exception. That worked fine.

SPAU error reading log file

Hi All,
We have an R/3 4.0B landscape and are working on some changes. I want to see if any SAP delivered objects have been modified in the past, but whenever I run SPAU or SPDD, I get an error message
"Error Reading File D:\usr\sap\put\log\umodstat.log" "Message Number 0U 503".
I can read a text file in the same directory through AL11, so I'm reasonably sure it's not an OS permission problem.
Any ideas?

BRF+ Message Log & "Rule as Expression"

Hi colleagues,
I am quite new to BRFplus and have two questions:
1) I would like to use a message log action in order to indicate errors. I tried to follow https://wiki.wdf.sap.corp/wiki/display/FDT/Message+Log with method SET_APPLICATION_LOG_OBJECT, but I can't find the class this method belogns to. I also tried modelling a rule & action message log with help of the UI. My question is how can I log messages and where can I find them after the function is beeing processed?
2) In every guide I can read something about rule expressions and even how to create them (e.g. http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/cc/85414842c8470bb19b53038c4b5259/frameset.htm), but in the workbench there is no possibilty of creating rules as expressions but only rules and rulesets (the rule is not part of the "Expression" node).
I hope somebody knows what I mean

Could you tell me why using rules and rulesets is not recommended for 7.01 ? This could be interesting for my bachelor thesis.

CK40N : no message log update after =cksu

Hi costing experts,
In the costing run statistics there are errors for the marking step, which I correct by entering =cksu according to SAP note 542790.
However, the message log for the marking step is not updated. It is hard to find which are the remaining messages in the overall message log, because there are some 400 messages in total and only 50 are still relevant according to the refreshed statistics.
Does anyone have any idea's about what can be done to update the message log?

I was searching for OSS notes associated with following keywords and note able to find any notes related my support pack level we are in SP13 (SAPKW70013)
"DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR" "CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB" "WRITE_ICFACT"
