Fail to Delete synchronize oid with sun/iPlanet

I intergrated OID with SUN iplanet with external authen. iPlanet is the master and oid read
user information from iplanet. The password of user store in iPlanet only.
After setting up SunOne/Iplanet Synchronize with OID, Adds and Changes work but Deletes Do Not Work.
In IplanetImport.aud file , I found error like this :
25 : Success : DELETE : * : Attempt to synchronize deletion. Entry is not found. Ignore.
How to solve this problem ?

  • Synchronize OID with AD

    I can bring up the em console via the host:port/em
    and can see the DIP tool and access the Synchronization profile via the GUI
    Please confirm if this screen/GUI (as above) is the one to be used to synchronize with external Active Directory.

    First you just click on your domain inside active directory For e.g mycompany.com & see whether the user you have created in oid is synchronised with AD or not. If yes then you to do mapping properly. Click on mapping tab under you synchronization profile using dip. Click on create under domain mapping & from lookup select the source and destination container for mapping. Click ok & at last click ok at top. Create the user in oid and see whether it is going to proper container or not.

    Hi,
    you will need to follow Metalink Note
    276481.1 Troubleshooting OID DIP Synchronization Issues -> Problem 11
    What you see is an ACI issue on OID server, caused by the fact that you are using a different container.

  • Jdeveloper 9i with Sun ONE (iPlanet) Web Server 6.0

    Hi,
    Has any one working Jdeveloper 9i with Sun ONE (iPlanet) Web Server 6.0 ?
    When i add new application server it gives only Oracle App Server and Web Logic.
    Thanks
    Ramesh

    Currently JDeveloper provides Application server connections to Oracle9iAS and WebLogic, which can be used to deploy J2EE Modules.
    JDeveloper allows to create assemble generic J2EE archives from projects which can used to deploy to other application servers.

  • Problem : App works with Sun App server 8.0 but fails with 8.1

    Hi All
         I am experiencing some strange problem with executing my JSF application with Sun App Server.
         I have an EAR deployed on Sun Application Server 8.0 and 8.1.
         Strangely it works quite fine with 8.0 but fails with 8.1.
         In my JSP page ..I have a dummy component whose getter method is used as a "FormLoad" event of the page.
         <h:form id="imageForm" enctype="multipart/form-data">
         <h:messages showDetail="true" />
         <table width="980" border="1" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" bordercolor="#A9B8C2">
              <tr>
    <td>
                   <h:inputHidden value="#{Screen1.initializeService}"/>
              <h:selectOneListbox styleClass="style2" id="cmbMiddleArea" immediate="true" value="#{Screen1.selectedMiddleArea}">
              <f:selectItems value="#{Screen1.middleAreaList}" />
         </h:selectOneListbox>
         In my backing bean i have ..
         public String getInitializeService() {
              ..... Retrieve all the data from DB to initialize all the components on the JSP page
              .......setMiddleAreaList......
              .......setSelectedMiddleArea.....
              ........set the values of the individal component...
         I am retrieving all the data from DB in this getter method and intializing the components on the JSP page.
         I have also checked the code generated for JSP by both the servers.I am posting the code here for reference although
         i did not find any significant difference between the two...
         For Server 8.0
         private boolean jspxmeth_h_inputHidden_0(javax.servlet.jsp.tagext.JspTag jspxth_h_form_0, PageContext jspxpage_context)
         throws Throwable {

         return true;
         jspxtagPool_h_inputHidden_value.reuse(_jspx_th_h_inputHidden_0);
         return false;
         For Server 8.1
         private boolean jspxmeth_h_inputHidden_0(javax.servlet.jsp.tagext.JspTag jspxth_h_form_0, PageContext jspxpage_context)

         return true;
         jspxtagPool_h_inputHidden_value_nobody.reuse(_jspx_th_h_inputHidden_0);
         return false;
         Now the actual problem is "getInitializeService" method never gets called when i deploy and run the application on Sun App Server8.1
         However with Sun App Server 8.0 it woeks perfectly fine.
         Can anybody help me in resolving these issues ?

  • Fail to run my first Servlet with Sun ONE Studio 4 Update 1 (+ bi Tomcat)

    Hello !
    I failed to run my first Servlet with Sun ONE Studio 4 update 1 ( with built in Tomcat)
    I think that I followed most of the online instructions,
    so I successfully run a JSP file,
    but I failed with my first servlet:
    The error message is:
    "Standard Wrapper[:MyServlet]: Marking servlet MyServlet as unavailable
    javax.servlet.ServletException: Wrapper cannot find servlet class com.hemmerling.myservlet.MyServlet
    or a class it depends on
    So please dont ask me for the code of the servlett ( simply taken from a book),
    but tell me why the one-and-only servlett was not found. what might I have done wrong, if I did everything I did to run the JSP file, too ?
    Of couse I copied the file into the "Classes" directory of the Webmodule ( WEB-INF ) and "processed" it, so that I was able to execute it.
    Any suggestions ?
    Tia
    Sincerely
    Rolf

    Tough to say, but try:
    1. Put the servlet in a package. If you're using the default package (class file in WEB-INF/classes directory, then Tomcat may not find it.
    2. Check out web.xml to ensure the <servlet> and <servlet-mapping> entries are correct.
    3. Make the servlet as simple as possible so you're sure that it is the servlet itself that cannot be found and not some other class that it uses.
    Good Luck

    Hi,
    You can set the p6SPY on Sun Java System Application Server as follows.
    Create a connection pool using Admin Console, please don't specify any database vendor. Then use the following properties.
    Data Source Class Name : com.p6spy.engine.spy.P6DataSource
    Resource Type : javax.sql.DataSource
    and then provide the following property.
    user, password and url. Make sure you add the p6spy.jar and properties file to the classpath.
    Try to ping the connection pool, and it should work.

  • Can't execute web app from NetBeans 3.6 with Sun Java App Server 8

    Hi there,
    I'm tyring to execute a java web application called myfirstjsp.
    In directory ...\myfirstsjp I've got:
    - index.jsp
    - WEB-INF dir
    - META-INF dir.
    I can run myfirstjsp from NetBeans if I choose the Netbeans default server, Tomcat 5.0.19 (this web server is configured to port 8084).
    However, when I try to execute myfirstjsp from NetBeans with Sun Java System Application Server 8(configured to port 8080), it gives me an annoying message:
    The Sun Java System Application Server 8 could not start.
    More information about the cause is in the Server log file.
    Possible reasons include:
    - Port conflicts. (use netstat -a to detect possible port numbers already used by the operating system.)
    - Incorrect server configuration (domain.xml to be corrected manually)
    - Corrupted Deployed Applications preventing the server to start.(This can be seen in the server.log file. In this case, domain.xml needs to be modified).
    I checked port conflicts but none found.
    The other two options don't give me a place to start (I don't know what to do with domain.xml)
    I'm working with:
    - Windows XP Pro
    - J2SE 1.4.2_04 (installed in C:\Program Files\j2sdk1.4.2_04)
    - Sun Java Application Server 8 (installed in C:\Program Files\Sun\AppServer)
    - Netbeans 3.6 + Sun Java System Application Server Plugin (installed in C:\Program Files\NetBeans3.6).
    My PC has the following environment variables:

    - Start Default Server (a link in the folder created by the installation of Sun App Server)
    - and trying to execute myfirstjsp from NetBeans through Sun App Server
    are very similar.
    Below is a piece of server.log when I tried to execute myfirstjsp from NetBeans through Sun App Server. Please, pay attention to the EJBC error:

    Is this EJB compilation error normal ? if not what does it mean ? Sun Java App Server installation isn't OK ?
    I tried to look into the Sun App Server Troubleshooting, searched forums... but couldn't squeeze any valuable info from any of them.
    If you have any sugestion regarding this problem, or you know some web site that addresses it please tell me !
    Many thanks,
    Miguel

    I seem to have the same problem, I cant run sun application server 8.1. The server is in c:\sun\appserver\, I am using netbeans 4.1. I recieve the same comment above:
    The Sun Java System Application Server 8 could not start.
    More information about the cause is in the Server log file.
    Possible reasons include:
    - Port conflicts. (use netstat -a to detect possible port numbers already used by the operating system.)
    - Incorrect server configuration (domain.xml to be corrected manually)
    - Corrupted Deployed Applications preventing the server to start.(This can be seen in the server.log file. In this case, domain.xml needs to be modified).
    I cant see any port conflict, the server is set to port 4848. I dont know about any configurations.
    This is the Exception:

  • Failed to delete file after processing FTP

    Failed to delete file after processing. The FTP server returned the following error message: 'com.sap.ai i.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: 550 Unexpected reply code *.txt: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. '. For details, contact your FTP server vendor.
    I got this error many times for the same interface. Not sure what is the reason for this.
    Searched on internet go comments that this is because of FTP version!
    Please help

    It is the "Msecs to Wait Before Modification Check" in the Sender Adapter that ensures this. It works like this: PI starts processing, finds a file, then waits the number of miliseconds specified and checks the file again to see if it has changed over the waiting period. If so, then it waits again to make sure the file is written completely. Only if no changes took place over the waiting period, it starts processing the file.
    And the fact that your file was successfully processed at retry only confirms that it might have been still written to by the sender system. You can try comparing file's creation timestamp (in OS level) with its processing start time in PI - this could prove me right.

  • Cas Log Errors - Failed To Delete Directory

    In most of the CAS logs on clients I see the error repeated:
    Error: DeleteDirectory: - Failed to delete Directory with Error 0x00000003
    Error: DeleteDirectory: - Failed to delete Directory C:\Windows\ccmcache\**** with Error 0x0000002
    What is the cause of this? Looks like it is trying to delete a folder from the local client package cache?

    The error code means the file cannot be found. The file may be already deleted. You need to open the cache folder and check. Normally, it is not an issue.

    Hi Joshua,
    Does this mean that I need to install the core and sub component but no need to install the DS and AD connectors. No!!! Core must only be installed on one machine! Here is a short summary of the steps during an installation having sun ONE LDAPs in multi-master replication (taking ldap2 as the machine, whrere core is installed):
    1. Install core on ldap2
    2. start console and configure your directory sources. For the sun directory source enter ldap2 as the preferred and ldap1 as the secondary ldap. Configure the rest: attribute-mapping, modification flow, AD-source, SULs, etc. save the configuration.
    3. on ldap2 run idsync prepds untill you get the SUCCESS message in the following way (be sure to specify the secondary ldap with -j and -r options):
    idsync prepds -h <ldap2> -p <ldap2port> -j <ldap1> -r <ldap1port> -D "cn=directory manager" -w <passwort> -s  <configuration_registry_suffix>4. Run the install binaries again on ldap2. Install DS Connector on ldap2, install DS-Subcomponent (preferred) on ldap2. Install AD-Connector.
    5. Copy over install binaries to ldap1. Run the install binaries on ldap1. Give ldap2 as configuration directory URL When you are asked, what components to install, select subcomponent. Select the suffix. When you are asked, what type of ldap, select secondary.
    6. Copy over install binaries to any ldap slave in your replication topology and install the subcomponent there, choosing "other" as the ldap type.
    Good luck again...
    Jakob.

  • Integration of Sun One Web Server 6.0 with Sun One App Server 7.0

    Is it possible to integrate Sun One Web Server 6.0 with the Sun One App Server 7.0??
    Sun One App Server 7.0 comes with the in-built HTTP listener. But we want to know if there is a way by which we can use the Sun One Web Server 6.0 with the App Server 7.0 and not the in-bulit HTTP listener?

    As suggested by you, I have used Sun ONE Application Server 7's plugin to connect the Sun ONE Web Server 6.0 with Sun ONE Application Server 7 as per the information given in Sun ONE Application Server 7 Administrator's Guide.
    I have added the plugin package to the webserver and added the following into the magnus.conf:
    Init fn="load-modules" shlib="C:/iPlanet/Servers/plugins/passthrough/passthrough.dll" funcs="init-passthrough,auth-passthrough,check-passthrough,service-passthrough" NativeThread="no"
    Init fn="init-passthrough"
    and to the obj.conf
    NameTrans fn="assign-name" from="(/A2P2Test|/A2P2Test/*)" name="passthrough"
    <Object name="passthrough">
    ObjectType fn="force-type" type="magnus-internal/passthrough"
    Service type="magnus-internal/passthrough" fn="service-passthrough" servers="http://<application server http listener>"
    Error reason="Bad Gateway" fn="send-error" uri="$docroot/badgateway.html"
    </Object>
    The webserver starts up without any errors but never forwards any requests what might I be doing wrong?
