Failed to link the C++ XML parser

I have tried to build the samples provided with C++ parser but
have failed to link the stuff due to missing core40.lib.
This library does not come with standard oracle 8 client.
What do I need to be able to link the samples ?
Also in the bin/ directory there is an executable called xml.exe
but it does not execute because the oranls8.dll is missing.
These two problems are most likely related.
Do I need a special SDK or something ??
And BTW the env is NT :)

The core40.lib also comes with the Oracle 8 RDBMS. Have you
looked in $ORACLE_HOME\lib ? Also, oranls8.dll is also
included.

  • Parse failed: Exception DBD, The supplied XML is not valid[Measures].[SAP_OBJECT_NAME] State:N/A error for hidden KFs when migrated to HANA

    Hi All
    Please help me with the following query. We are migrating SAP BW 7.4 on Oracle to HANA. We have few WEBI report's universes built on BEx queries. In one of those reports there are some hidden RKFs, these works perfectly fine in reports based on oracle. Now we migrated to HANA in development system and when i refresh the universe structure they started giving errors like "Parse failed: Exception DBD, The supplied XML is not valid[Measures].[SAP_OBJECT_NAME] State:N/A". The object giving this error is in hidden state. I tried to unhide it and run the report then it runs fine but that not the client want as there might be so many hidden KFs in other reports also. BO version is 4.1 SP 2. We are on SAPKW74006 support package on BW side. Is there any notes to correct this error. Please pass me the relevant links. Highly appreciate your help.
    Thanks

    DCA-40012: The Web Service call failed. A connection to the target Web Service could not be created.
    First of all test the web service you have created in model project. Right click the web service name and select "Test WebService". If you see any issue(s) while testing fix it first before you run the jspx page.
    Check the port number in the URL and connections.xml, it have to be same.

  • JRE 1.4.2: how to override the default xml parser?

    Hi all,
    I have JRE 1.4.2_03 and I need to replace the default xml "crimson" parser with xerces because the former one doesn't properly handle utf-8 BOM.
    Does anyone have an idea where I should look at for this kind of configuration?
    I skimmed thorugh the oracle docs but couldn't find anything.
    I found a link describing how to change the xml parser in OC4J, but my understanding is that this has little to do with what I am looking for.
    I need to force Saxon 8.6.1, that is invoked by means of java.exe from the command line, to pick up the right xml parser.
    Has anyone else tried this out already?
    Alternatively, is it safe to install JRE 1.5 in place of JRE 1.4.2 on a Oracle 10.1.0.4 database?
    I am told that JRE 1.5 uses a different xml parser that should fix my problem.
    Bye,
    Flavio

    I sorted this out myself.
    Downloaded the latest stable xerces binary (2.5.0) from http://xml.apache.org/dist/xerces-j/
    Then I extracted xercesImpl.jar and put it under:
    %ORACLE_HOME%\LIB\endorsed
    I had to create the endorsed folder as it didn't exist.
    Then, when invoking Saxon using java.exe, I added the following switch:
    -Djava.endorsed.dirs=%ORACLE_HOME%\LIB\endorsed
    That's it.
    You can find some background info on:
    https://jaxp.dev.java.net/Updating.html

  • Why the oracle XML parser "parses" the DTD comments?

    Hi all,
    I always use the header
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding='ISO-8859-1' ?>
    to be able to use foreign characters in the XML documents.
    The oracle xml parser handles this correctly.
    My problem is, when I write comments inside the DTD, the
    parser reports "Invalid UTF8 encoding".
    Why the parser "parse" the comments? (protected by <!-- and -->)
    How do I say that the DTD encoding is different from UTF, like
    ISO-8859-1?
    Example of a correct DTD and corresponding XML, reporting
    problems, related to the 2nd comment in the DTD specification,
    written with ISO-8859-1 characters.
    The DTD:
    <!-- valid.dtd -->
    <!ELEMENT valid ( B, C ) >
    <!-- valid represents the concept "Identificagco" -->
    <!ELEMENT B (#PCDATA) >
    <!ELEMENT C (#PCDATA) >
    The XML:
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding='ISO-8859-1' ?>
    <!DOCTYPE valid SYSTEM 'valid.dtd'>
    <valid>
    <B>How are you, Conceigco</B>
    <C>I'm fine, thank you.</C>
    </valid>
    The parser output:
    [jgr@frontera test-dtd]$ java oracle.xml.parser.v2.oraxml -v
    valid.xml
    Error while parsing input sourcevalid.xml(Invalid UTF8 encoding.)
    Thank you for any help.

    I was wrong in saying that the attributes are not added to the element.My main aim is to add a array of elements to the root node.
    Is there a efficient manner in adding the elements , rather than adding them individually with the help of appendChild method.
    Thanks in advance.

    i've obeied the procedure in my reference but not working.
    so i re thought and re did but don't know why..
    in my friend's computer with OS windows 7, that works well with same source but not mine..
    hmm..by any chance, doesn't xilinx 14.2 support OS windows 8 yet??
    my OS is windows 8 32bit enterprise k RTM ver.
    is this a OS compatibility problem or just my mistake in doing my procedure??
    i want to know if there is anyone whose OS is windows 8 and Isim works well!!!
    i can't find about 'operating xilinx in windows 8' in my country's sites.
    please tell me :)
    P.S.  sorry for my poor English, i don't know english well 'cause i'm Korean,
    if i could use Korean, I would say what i think and want more concretely..ㅠㅠ
    anyway thanks for reading..& please reply if you knows~

    This may be the same fix that ningunos2010 provided but I got this idea from anthbs's post. I looked up what .exe files the ISim tool used, and then simply took the nt64 files and copied them over to the nt folder so that it wouldn't run the 32 bit ISim but the 64 bit one that anthbs claimed would work. At first it didn't come up with any errors it says the simulation ran successfully but it wouldn't open the actual ISim gui. In order to fix this I went to the ISimgui.exe file and unclicked run as administrator. I'm not sure if that's clicked by default or if I had changed it at some point trying to fix the issue.
    Anyway these are the files I copied over from nt64 to nt folder:
    fuse.exe
    isimgui.exe
    vhpcomp.exe
    vlogcomp.exe

  • IP integration Node: failed to link the design

    I'm unable to generate supporting files when importing a VHDL file into IP integration node. I have seen people having the same issue because they used an unsupported OS but my OS is supported by Vivado 2014.4.
    I have:
    NI LabView 2014 with all the modules and latest updates installed
    Xilinx Vivado 2014.4
    Windows 8.1 64 bit (which is sipported by labview)

    It is worth to mention that I have selected only one FPGA family (zenq) which vivado supports. The code that I'm importing is correct and very short. Just a LED test which worked fine on simulations. What is causing this issue and how my I solve this?
    Solved!

    Hi aan928
    You are correct in that 8.1 does support LV 2014 but LV2014 isn't FULLY supported (as in modules and drivers) FPGA being one of them. The Compiler tools that we are dependent on Xillinx for unfortunatly aren't at this moment in time. Although some FPGA compilation may work, not all compilations will. Unfortunatly there is no timeline in terms of how Xillinx & NI will fully implement support for specific modules with window 8.0 & 8.1.
    Please reference the document below to see a full list of compatabilities beween NI tools & 8.0 which may provide some help

  • What's the best XML parser for J2ME

    Hello,
    has anybody a suggestione about a light and (hopefully) performant opern source XML parser library to use in a J2ME application?
    I'm going to explore Xparse-J and Kxml: Is there anything better?
    Thank you,
    Andrea

    kXML is the most important and popularly use XML parser for KVM. This is a combination of pull parser and the XMLWriter. It coantains a WAP Binary XML and a special kDOM.
    NanoXML is another parser for KVM, which works on push-parsing technology. Now it is not very popular.

    <FILTER KEY="[!V000002]"><CONDITION OPERATORCONDITION="Between"><CONSTANT TECH_NAME="@Prompt('Calendar Month Interval From','A','Calendar Year/Month\LovCalendar Month IntervalBase',mono,primary_key)"/><CONSTANT TECH_NAME="@Prompt('Calendar Month Interval To','A','Calendar Year/Month\LovCalendar Month IntervalBase',mono,primary_key)"/></CONDITION></FILTER>
    Can anyone suggest me how to solve this.
    Regards,
    Ramana.

    Hi all,
    Just refresh the universe structure and parse it and export it.
    Actually the issue is, SAP BEx Query and its filters was changed after i have created Universe so what i have done is , created a new universe and named tat universe with the actual universe name.
    So the filters parsing got success.

  • Still problems serializing xml-docs with xml-parser for java v2.0.2.7

    Hi !
    I'm using the Oracle XML Parser 2.0.2.7.0 and get some problems when serializing the XMLDocument.
    In one class (DOMOut) I parse a xml-file with the oracle.xml.parser.v2.DOMParser, then obtain the XMLDocument and write it to System.out
    In another class (DOMIn) I fetch the XMLDocument from System.in, search for a given Element and print it's TextValue (if existing) to System.out
    That is where the error occurs.
    I get the XMLDocument from System.in but the returning NodeList from doc.getElementsByTagName() is empty. [nl.getLength()==0] even if it shouldn't be.
    Look at this code and output:
    [DOMOut]
    DOMParser parser = new DOMParser();
    parser.parse(url);
    XMLDocument doc = (XMLDocument)parser.getDocument();
    ObjectOutputStream out = new ObjectOutputStream(System.out);
    out.writeObject(doc); out.flush();
    [DOMIn]
    ObjectInputStream in = new ObjectInputStream(System.in);
    XMLDocument doc = (XMLDocument)in.readObject();
    doc.print(System.out);
    NodeList nl = doc.getElementsByTagName("Name");
    System.out.println("Length of NodeList: "+nl.getLength());
    if (nl.getLength()==0)
    System.out.println(argv[0] + ": not in this document!");
    else {
    XMLNode node = (XMLNode) nl.item(nl.getLength()-1);
    System.out.println(node.getNodeName() + ": " + (node.getFirstChild()).getNodeValue());
    This is the relevant code.
    I javac both classes and then do this:
    java DOMOut xmltestfile.xml > xx
    java DOMIn Name < xx
    And get this as output:
    <?xml version = '1.0'?>
    <!DOCTYPE course [
    <!ELEMENT course (Name,Dept,Instructor,Student)>
    <!ELEMENT Name ((#PCDATA)*)*>
    <!ELEMENT Dept ((#PCDATA)*)*>
    <!ELEMENT Instructor (Name)>
    <!ELEMENT Student (Name)*>
    ]>
    <course>
    <Name>Calculus</Name>
    <Dept>Math</Dept>
    <Instructor>
    <Name>Jim Green</Name>
    </Instructor>
    <Student>
    <Name>Jack</Name>
    <Name>Mary</Name>
    <Name>Paul</Name>
    </Student>
    </course>
    Length of NodeList: 0
    Name: not in this document!
    Has anyone an idea?
    If I do all this stuff without serializing it works.
    If I do not search for argv[0], but the string "Name" it fails.
    If I do search for "*" it works fine!
    I'm very confused could anybody please help me a bit??
    Stefan.

  • IOException thrown in oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLElement.readExternal() method

    Hi,
    I have a bpel process which takes in a particular xml format and does some processing asynchronously. I am calling this bpel process from a web application which uses axis web service to call this application.
    Everything works fine when the xml is small (around 10 to 15 kb). But once the xml gets huge(around 250 to 400 kb) error is thrown in bpel in the oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLElement.readExternal() method. It seems like bpel is not able to reconstruct the object that it had written to some stream before. I learnt from some forum posts that this done for optimizing performance but I would like to know whether i have to tweak something here.
    Particularly what does this "java.io.IOException: Error in reading Namespace associated with the node" mean. Below is the error log

    Exception: ORABPEL-09222

    I finally found the root cause of the solution. We are using axis serialization/deserialization at the client end to call the bpel service which works well for small xml. But mysteriously for larger xmls the deserialization fails at the server end when the incoming xml is being used. So we used the regular oracle java api to call the web service. This solved the problem.
    We could not find whether the problem lies with Oracle SOA suite 10.1.3.1 or Apache axis 2.0. But as of now these two seem to be incompatible for large xmls at the moment.
    Any pointers are welcome!

  • ORACLE XML PARSER FOR JAVA FOR AIX

    Hi people!
    I'm looking for the Oracle XML Parser for Java 9.0.2.0.0C, my 9iAS is BI Installation 9.0.2.3, where can I get it? In the Downloads Section there is only the version for 10g, and the existing versions for 9i are not for AIX (my OS is AIX 5.2L).
    Thanks.

    Thanks for your help, I navigate through this link and, even it shows a table where appears the release for AIX (9.2.0.6.0), when I get to http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/xml/xdk/software/prod/utilsoft_java.htm
    it shows me only downloads for Sun, Linux and HP-UX, but not for AIX.
    Has the version for AIX being deprecated or something like that?
