Failover properties set at dvswitch level??

I am looking to define an explicit failover order for all dvportgroups created from within vcloud director 5.1 as to control traffic flow across cisco UCS fabric interconnects. Is there a way to set the defaults at the dvswitch level so all created dvportgroups inherit these settings? Currently any created port group is defined with the default load balancing policy “Route based on originating virtual port” with all adapters active…
If this is not possible I may need to investigate a single uplink with fabric failover, however, I do not want to deviate from our current standard of allowing esxi to control failover / failback.

Thanks for the response – Looks like it is not possible to modify at the dvs.
To stick with our design principals I have decided to continue with the 2 x vnics for the dvs, set both vnics to the SAME preferred fabric and enable fabric failover for both. I will then leave the default failover policy as it is.

  • Can you set PDF zoom level when exporting from ID?

I do many documents for proof and regardless of how the end user is going to view them, I like them to open as a full page ("Fit Page" zoom level) - I want the viewer to get the overall impact of the layout before they see just the top half or upper corner.
Right now, I export from ID and have to manually set the zoom level  in Properties from within Acrobat Pro. Is there ANY way to set a default export zoom level to save this step, which I have to do many times on most days?

Only if you export using File > Export > Adobe PDF  (Interactive). Not if you're using File > Export > Adobe PDF (Print),

  • Error when setting the JARM level up to 10

    Hello,
I would like to improve the performance of our Web Dynpro Application.
I set the JARM-Level up to 10 in order to look in the Web Dynpro Console and search for slow functions etc.
But if I want to deloy my application, I always get the error:
"This compilation unit indirectly references the missing type com.sap.util.monitor.jarm.IMonitor (typically some required class file is referencing a type outside the classpath)"
This error appears in the file "InternalNavigationView.java" (which is generated by the Web Dynpro Code Generator)
I tried to add the import "com.sap.util.monitor.jarm.IMonitor ", but this import doesn't exist.
Does anybody know, how I can fix the problem?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Bettina,
If you are developing your aplication as DC then
    1)       expand ur DC

Thank you very much for your help

I'm having the same problem as well. Java 7u21 (32bit), win7 64bit. All i'm trying to do is set
    deployment.security.level=MEDIUM
in my deployment.properties, but it won't work, i have exactly the same deployment.config as the OP.
I have noticed, if i go into the user deployment.properties for the user (C:\Users\<name>\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\deployment.properties), and delete the file, nothing changes (a new one just gets created with the non system wide settings). HOWEVER, if you open that user deployment.properties file, and remove the entries that you are trying to configure via the system wide deployment.properties, then the system wide deployment.properties comes into play and works.
But obviously this is not something I want to have to do on every work station.

  • Unable to set a top-level property object

    Hey guys
I've made a little sequence to fetch data from a XML file. In that XML file, there is some informations (entries) (IP addresses, port numbers, etc) about 4 different types of devices(sections are the devices names). The first section of the XML tells me the NAMES of the devices I have to configure. The type of each device is located in the entries of each device. Each device has its own information and I can have more than one device of a type. In teststand, I've created custom data types (containers with empty fields) for each type of device I need.
I want to dynamically create the devices that the XML file tells me to configure as fileglobal variables and populate them with their own config informations (entries of the XML file). I'm creating new fileglobal of the type I want using PropertyObject step and I'm creating an alias of that fileglobal that I'm passing in parameter to a subsequence who's getting infos from XML. Here, everything is OK.
The problem occurs when I want to configure 2 or more objects of the same type. At the SetProperty step (where i'm creating the fileglobal variable) teststand gives me the error:
"Unable to set a top-level property object to another object. Error accessing item 'Parameters.DeviceToInitStruct'."
Is there any ways to avoid that problem and creating to variable of the same type ?
    thanks

    Hi
I finally got rid of that problem.
Instead of using a PropertyObject.Clone step, I used a statement who's just copy the "MasterObject" into a "CloneObject" and i'm working with that copy. So the sequence can now create devices of the same type without any conflict with the first device.
i'll post here a short example to show how i did... maybe it'll be useful for someone...

              </weblogic-enterprise-bean>
              </weblogic-ejb-jar>
I have checked the syntax against the weblogic documentation.
However, when i try to jar the beans up into the jar file (weblogic.ejbc), it
give me the following error :

How do you set the zoom level to Inherit Zoom for all bookmarks in a pdf?

I made an account just to "like" your comment and say that you are a god among men.
I've been searching for hours about how to make the zoom level persistent throughout following links in various PDF's I have, and most sources were saying to just buy acrobat pro and edit the bookmarks manually with it.
I saw that it was possible to write an application to change the property, and considered doing it after the only pre-existing custom application I could find was asking for $50.
Thanks to you, I no longer have to worry about re-zooming every time I click a bookmark, and I'm not out $50 or the time it would take to code an app myself!
From the bottom of my heart, thank you!

  • Setting transaction isolation levels in WAS5

I think I'm missing something pretty easy. How can I set the isolation

    Hi Slava, Ryan,
We haven't looked at 8.1 yet since our release cycle wouldn't allow us
to move to 8.1 until at least June anyway, but even if the problems was
fixed there it took BEA support more than 6 months (I opened the case on
Sep 23 2002 and only this week I got the patch that I haven't even tried
to test to see if it works) to issue a patch for such a small problem.
The server would just check if the Oracle XA driver was being used and
no matter what version would just throw an exception if you try to set
the transaction isolation level saying that the feature in the Oracle
8.1.7 driver was broken... (although you might be using 9.x or even a
    pre-8.1.7 driver)...
    So this is about it.
And Slava, I've tried pushing a case harder only to end up with BEA
support trying to convince me that I was misinterpreting the JDBC spec
when it was not true, so I just gave up. The main goal of BEA support in
all of our experience has been that they don't try to solve the cases
    but close them.
That's my and some of my colleagues personal views anyway, you don't
    have to share them.

This is a very bold statement Slava, considering that with Oracle XA

2)is this "WE8MSWIN1252" set supports Arabic.
    Regards,

You cannot change the characterset at the session level. If you want to store ARABIC characters in your database then you should change the characterset of your database to any other characterset that supports Arabic characters or to a Unicode characterset like UTF8 or AL32UTF8.
If you try to insert Arabic characters with your present US7ASCII charancterset then the characters would be stored as junk.

  • Setting transaction isolation level on a replicated server stored procedure

I have a SQL server that has replication turned onto to another server which is our reporting server. Replication is real-time (or close to it). On the report server I have a stored procedure that runs from a SRS report. My question is it possible or advisable
or does it even make sense to set the "SET TRANSACTION ISOLATION LEVEL READ COMMITTED" on at the beginning of the stored procedure which selects data from the reporting server database? Is it possible for uncommitted data on the OLTP side of the
house to be replicated before it is committed? We are having data issues with a report and have exhausted all options and was wondering if dirty data maybe the issue since the same parameters work for a report 1 sec and then next it doesnt.

Only committed transactions are replicated to the subscriber.  But it is possible for the report to see dirty data if running in READ UNCOMMITTED or NOLOCK.  You should run your reports in READ COMMITTED or SNAPSHOT isolation , and your replication
subscriber should be configured with READ COMMITTED SNAPSHOT ISLOATION eg
    alter database MySubscriber set allow_snapshot_isolation on;
    alter database MySubscriber set read_committed_snapshot on;

  • Setting XA isolation level.

Is there a configuration parameter that controls the default isolation level used by distributed transactions when you configure XA support on Oracle 8i? I know Oracle's default isolation level is READ COMMITTED, but I would like to have SERIALIZABLE as the isolation level for transactions that are initiated from some MS COM+ components accessing the database.
    Thanks,
    Sam

    Ian,
The default for Oracle (any version) is ReadCommitted. The only other
isolation level Oracle supports is Serializable but it's implemented in
such a way that you will be allowed to continue until commit time and
only then you might get an exception stating the the access for that
    transaction could not be serialized.
I don't know for the jDriver but if you use the Oracle Thin XA driver
even if you set the isolation level in your descriptor you will get an
exception from Weblogic. It is a Weblogic bug and you can contact
[email protected] to get a patch.

  • Setting db isolation level on transaction without EJB

I'm using UserTransaction in the servlet container, to control XA transactions.
We're not using EJB. How do I set the database isolation level? I'm tempted
to use java.sql.Connection.setTransactionIsolation(). However, the Sun Javadoc
for that method says you can't call that after the transaction has started (which
makes sense). Right now, we're starting the transaction, getting a connection,
closing the connection, and committing the transaction. I guess that order won't
work if I want to set the isolation level. Or am I mixing apples and oranges
here? If I use UserTransaction, is it even appropriate to try to set the isolation
              level on the connection?
All I really want to do is change the default isolation level. We do not need
different isolation levels for different use cases. (Not yet, anyway.) We might
have transactions against two different database instances or other resource managers.
That's why I want to use UserTransaction and XA transactions.
