Fault Structure defined in my WSDL

Hi I have made a wsdl;
I have defined the request element structure , response element structure and the fault element structure.
I made a proxy service consuming that wsdl.
Now whenever an internal OSB error or provider side error is occuring , i m not getting the error details in the fault structure i had defied in the wsdl.
please help

Hi,
Whenever an internal error occurs, OSB will not populate it in fault structure defined in WSDL. It has to be handled in error handler and the error details should be mapped to the fault structure defined in the WSDL.
Regards,
Vish

I use WebLogic 10.3.4 with JDeveloper 11g Release 1 and the current Oracle SOA Suite 11g.
I can deploy a simple composite with a BPEL service. However, If I use my complex BPEL composite, I always get the following stack trace on deployment (it validates perfectly within the editor):

• How to create dynamic context based on a structure defined in the program?

Hi Experts,
             I need to create a dynamic context based on a structure wa_struc which i have define programatically.
When I pass wa_struc to structure_name parameter of create_nodeinfo_from_struc, i get a runtime error:
"Parameter STRUCTURE_NAME contains an invalid value wa_struc."
How to create dynamic context based on a structure defined in the program?
I have written the code like this:
TYPES: BEGIN OF t_type,
                v_carrid TYPE sflight-carrid,
                v_connid TYPE sflight-connid,
             END OF t_type.
      Data:  i_struc type table of t_type,
             wa_struc type t_type.
      data: dyn_node   type ref to if_wd_context_node.
      data: rootnode_info   type ref to if_wd_context_node_info.
      rootnode_info = wd_context->get_node_info( ).
      clear i_struc. refresh i_struc.
      select carrid connid into corresponding fields of table i_struc from sflight where carrid = 'AA'.
cl_wd_dynamic_tool=>create_nodeinfo_from_struct(
      parent_info = rootnode_info
      node_name = 'dynflight'
      structure_name = 'wa_struc'
      is_multiple = abap_true ).
dyn_node = wd_context->get_child_node( name = 'dynflight' ).
dyn_node->bind_table( i_struc ).
Thanks

              First of all Special thanks for your informative answers to my other forum questions. I really appreciate your help.
Coming back to this question I am still waiting for an answer. Please help. Note that my structure is not in a dictionary.
I am trying to create a new node. That is
CONTEXT
- DYNFLIGHT
CARRID
CONNID
As you see above I am trying to create 'DYNFLIGHT' along with the 2 attributes which are inside this node. The structure of the node that is, no.of attributes may vary based on some condition. Thats why I am trying to create a node dynamically.
Also I cannot define the structure in the ABAP dictionary because it changes based on condition
I have updated my code like the following and I am getting error:
TYPES: BEGIN OF t_type,
CARRID TYPE sflight-carrid,
CONNID TYPE sflight-connid,
END OF t_type.
Data: i_struc type table of t_type,
dyn_node type ref to if_wd_context_node,
rootnode_info type ref to if_wd_context_node_info,
i_node_att type wdr_context_attr_info_map,
wa_node_att type line of wdr_context_attr_info_map.
wa_node_att-name = 'CARRID'.
wa_node_att-TYPE_NAME = 'SFLIGHT-CARRID'.
insert wa_node_att into table i_node_att.
wa_node_att-name = 'CONNID'.
wa_node_att-TYPE_NAME = 'SFLIGHT-CONNID'.
insert wa_node_att into table i_node_att.
clear i_struc. refresh i_struc.
select carrid connid into corresponding fields of table i_struc from sflight where carrid = 'AA'.
rootnode_info = wd_context->get_node_info( ).
rootnode_info->add_new_child_node( name = 'DYNFLIGHT'
attributes = i_node_att
is_multiple = abap_true ).
dyn_node = wd_context->get_child_node( 'DYNFLIGHT' ).
dyn_node->bind_table( i_struc ).
l_ref_interfacecontroller->set_data( dyn_node ).
But now I am getting the following error :
The following error text was processed in the system PET : Line types of an internal table and a work area not compatible.
The error occurred on the application server FMSAP995_PET_02 and in the work process 0 .

• How do I access classes and methods defined in a wsdl file

I have been provided a wsdl file I need to find out how do I access classes and methods defined in a wsdl file directly instead of doing a wsdl2java...

Several comments :
1- is there any reason to have blank chars inserted after the path ? Seems that you already have a problem there. If possible, try to solve the problem at the source
2- the end of line char is usually CR (Carriage Return, aka ASCII char 13 = $0D = Control-D). But LF (Line Feed = 10 = $0A = control-A) is also used (platform dependent). In LV, you can use the "Concatenate strings" function to add/insert control chars (found in the String Control Palette). However, this will not solve your problem of unwanted added blank chars at the end of your string.
3- you can use the Trim white space.vi (in the "Additionnal string functions" sub-palette) to remove ALL the spaces in your string
4- you can build your own "end space remover" function. :
reverse the string, wire to a "Match pattern" function, use " +" (space + "+") to search for any number of spaces, reverse again the "after substring".
5- there is no point 5 :-)
You may find interesting description of ASCII chars here

• Use of custom structure defined in the program in Function Module

Hi,
We have defined a structure in a program.
We want to define a Tables parameter in a Function module having the same structure as in the program.
Is there a way to do this without defining a standard structure?
Thanks,
Arun

Copy the definition in a Type Group (SE11 - Uilities - Other Dictionary objects) in an Abap syntax, include the type group in function group and program top includes via a [TYPE-POOLS|http://help.sap.com/abapdocu_70/en/ABAPTYPE-POOLS.htm] statement (before Release 7.0, EhP2).

• Want to download the segment structure into xsd or wsdl

Hi Guys,
I want to dwonload the segement structure (E1KNA1M) into XSD or WSDL.
Then i can import into XI as datatype,
How can i download the segment structure into XSD?
Thanks
Srinivas

Srinivas,
I tried to put the E1KNA1M segment xsd here. But it seems I cannot do because the length of it is more than 15000 characters. So I just send a mail this xsd. Take a look and update here.
What I did basically is copied the DEBMAS.DEBMAS04 xsd into altova xml spy and manually deleted all the segments except E1KNA1M segement. You can change the name of the segment names also if you want.

• Warehouse structure define

hi
this is the scenario what we have in production
we have multiple subassemblies which takes place for the final product ,
e.g.
finished Part 1 --   has 2 subassemblies say subass A and sub *** B ,
for Sub *** A we have 2 materials  C and D  requiremnts for mfg
so what we do is initially for mfg sub *** A we move material C and D from the warehouse to a bin just before the prod line  ( say Prod Prep Bin)  and when the  production order is confirmed the materilas will be consumed from that  Prod prep Bin
now for mfg Finished Part 1 the material will be backflushed from the WIP area where sub *** A and subass B are sitting.
My question is  in the warehouse structure how do i define each of the areas
1. The Prod Prep Bin
2, The WIP areas from where the material for the finished goods is backflushed
please suggest

• How to convert structures defined in VC++ to Labview

hi
I am converting a previously written VC++ code  to labview ...
but i m facing a problem ... ie ... in VC++
     typedef struct
        float X,Y,Z;
        int X2,Y2;
}Position;
     in VC++ , if i hv to assign a value to structure.I use pointer to structure  so as to give value to each individual variable...
but as far as labview is concerned how to create structure & assign value to it directly ...
is creating structure same as creating clusters in labview ?
& how to assign value to it ? is thr any thing like pointer's in labview ?
I am using Labview 8.0..
waiting in anticipation ...
reply asap... thanking u for ur support...
regards
Yogan

Let me see if I understand correctly: you have a 12-bit signed value, stored in a 16-bit value, and you want it sign-extended through 16 bits?  I think there are easier ways to do this in both LabVIEW and C.  Here's one idea:

• About rfc structure defination

• Missing namespace on XAI Inbound Service Fault Element

Hi,
when a XAI Inbound service errors out, it uses the Fault element defined in the WSDL, which normally should be:
+<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">+
+<soapenv:Body>+
+<soapenv:Fault>+
+<faultcode>soapenv:Client</faultcode>+
+<faultstring>Client Error</faultstring>+
+<detail>+
*+<ouaf:Fault xmlns:ouaf="urn:oracle:ouaf">+*
-- omiting details
+</ouaf:Fault>+
+</detail>+
+</soapenv:Fault>+
+</soapenv:Body>+
+</soapenv:Envelope>+
However, in one environment i am getting this response, without the namespace:
+<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">+
+<soapenv:Body>+
+<soapenv:Fault><faultcode>soapenv:Client</faultcode>+
+<faultstring>Client Error</faultstring>+
+<detail>+
*+<ouafFault>+*
-- Omiting Details
+</ouafFault>+
+</detail>+
+</soapenv:Fault>+
+</soapenv:Body>+
+</soapenv:Envelope>+
This happens both for Custom and Base XAI Inbound services.
Already validated the patching level between environments.
The logs do not show any obvious difference.
I will appreciate any idea or suggestion.
Thanks
Regards
Ernesto.

All the environments had the same patching level and our problem was in one environment only.
We cloned the rowking environment ontop of the non-working one and it's solved, although we don't know which was the reason. My guess is some of the patches was not properly applied.
Thanks
Regards

• None of the support people speak CF, please help!

I'm about to write a web service web app. for the 2nd time. I'm new to this but my first app. was a success so I plan to do it again.
In both cases, the web services weren't written with CF. Not sure what language they used but this shouldn't be a problem as far as I understand because I'm just consuming and CF should be able to do that.
This time I'm facing an address manipulation software called QAS. This software should be able to do some formating to the input address. For example, if we pass in an address with a mix of lower and uppper case street name, without state and 5 digits zip, after being processed by this software, we'll get a nice formatted address back as a result where the first letter of the street name is capitalized, added the city, state and 9 digits zip with a dash in between. That's briefly what this software can do (it can do more than this but since this software is already there and has this capability, I'm going to use this particular functionality without having to re-invent the wheel).
In Production env., we should install this software in prod. web server but in dev. stage I can install the software in my local machine, as it is written in its manual. The url to the wsdl file when it is installed in local machine is referred to as http://localhost:2021/Proweb.wsdl The 2021 is the port where this software is installed. I open up in the browser and I can see the wsdl file display nicely.
Now the problem is, I'm using cfinvoke to invoke this web service as I did in the pass but I got error saying :Web service operation DoBulkSearch with parameters {DoSearch={3300 metzerott rd | adelphi | maryland | 20783},Country={Structure},Engine={Structure},Layout={Database layout}} cannot be found.
I communicated to the support, even they're helpful but since they don't speak ColdFusion they're not that helpful to me. My last question to them was  asking them to comment on my approach, in a plain english, if the steps I currently use is wrong. Here is my question to them:
1.       I’m trying to consume (invoke) a web service and reference the WSDL file through http://localhost;2021/Proweb.wsdl
2.       The method that I’m using to invoke this web service is called: DoBulkSearch
3.       I also pass a few parameters when invoking this web service and they are:
·         Country, which has a value = USA
·         Engine  , which has a value = Verification
·         Layout ,  which has a value = Database layout
·         Search,  which has a value =  1 riverside rd|new york|ny|blank zip
4.       The end result expected from calling this web service is a formatted address, which steps from this is/are considered in correct. Please
             advice
This is their answer:
            Engine has to be the structure defined in the wsdl, Verification alone is not enough of a value to pass to it. I don’t know how to pass the
            structure in coldfusion though.
            Search has to be a structure as well. If you were to use the DoSearch method, then this string would be enough to pass, it might be easier to
           start with this method.
In ColdFusion, I tried a couple of approach but unfortunately both are not working and gave the same error:
     <cfinvoke webservice="http://localhost:2021/proweb.wsdl" method="DoBulkSearch" returnvariable="retVal">
     <cfinvokeargument name="Country" value="USA">
     <cfinvokeargument name="Engine" value="Verification">
     <cfinvokeargument name="Layout" value="Database layout">
<cfinvokeargument name="Search" value="3223 st. paul street | | | 21218">
</cfinvoke> <cfdump  var="#retVal#">
My Question is:
How can I pass Country, Engine, Search parameters and tell the remote site that these are structure paramater. In cfinvokeargument there is no "Type" attribute where I can write Type= "Structure"
OR this one is also not working:
Post / HTTP.1.0
Content-Type:text/xml
Content-Length:614
SOAPAction: "http://www.qas.com/web-2007-08/DoBulkSearch"
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><cfsavecontent  variable="soap">

     <qas:Search>3223 st. paul street | | | 21218</qas:Search>
     </qas:BulkSearchTerm>
     </qas:QABulkSearch>
     </soapenv:Body>
</soapenv:Envelope>
</cfoutput>
</cfsavecontent> <cfhttp  url="http://localhost:2021/proweb.wsdl/" method="post">
<cfhttpparam type="xml" name="DoBulkSearch" value="#trim(soap)#">
</cfhttp> <cfdump  var="#soap#">
(screen shot of the wsdl file in text file)

You pass a structure as a parameter to a web service by making a ColdFusion structure and passing the structure to the web service.  A structure is a complex variable containg a set of key-value pairs.
Using Arrays and Structures
http://livedocs.adobe.com/coldfusion/8/htmldocs/arrayStruct_01.html
A Brief example.
<cfset search = structNew()>
<cfset search.key1 = "Value1">
<cfset search.key2 = 2>
<cfset search.key3 = "Something Else">
You would then provide the variable search as the appropiate parameter to your web service.

• Saprfc_export problem !

hello,
Just starting in SAP/PHP, and a first problem with the
saprfc_export function.
my code is the following :
$value = saprfc_export ($fce,"RET");
print_r($value);
I want to print the export parameter 'RET'.
If RET is a STRING, CHAR100, CHAR50 type or anything related to characters, it wont display nothing.
However if i change it to a SY-SYSID type it displays the value from my RFC.
Is anyone knows how to display a string, i know it work with the JCO, so why not in PHP ??
Thx for your help
hope somebody can Help
Quentin

I just tried this as a web service and it works. Is it mandatory that you use SAPRFC?
The following is a little PHP that makes the call using RFC and then as a Web Service. The RFC comes back blank, but the Web Service correct.
To do the same you would need the WSDL for your interface. You can get this from WSADMIN, or use the BSP application WebServiceBrowser.
Cheers

• Data Flow | XML Source | Very Slow with big files (over 1/2 a gig)

hi
I am trying to load a few XML files to a database. one of our proprietary systems load the file in 3-4 minutes however with ssis XML source file it takes over an hour.
can anyone know the reason/help with this?
I tried the delayValidation set to true with no success.
thanks
eddy
eddy.a

Parsing XML files as data sources in SSIS is not the most efficient. Remember that you have define a WSDL (aka structure of the input file) and once the XML source starts parsing the input file, it has to read every node at every level and make sure it conforms
to the structure defined in the WSDL file before it can start streaming the data out to the downstream components in your workflow.
A half-gig XML file with 150 nodes to parse is going to need some heavy-lifting behind the scenes before you start seeing the rows streamed out. I'd rather recommend that you use either inbuilt .Net classes for XML to parse and extract the data or leverage
SQL scripting to accomplish that. Alternatively, if your upstream system can instead drop the data feed in a flat file format, that'd be more preferable. And if you could hook into their data streaming APIs/end-points directly, that'll work too.
Hope this gets you started in finding the right approach.

• How to use Fault schema in WSDL for Error Handling in ALSB

We are not able to view the fault element in our alsb flow under body variable and when we get the error in test console the error comes in bea fault schema,but we want the error in our own defined fault schema.Pls. guide.
Below are the steps we followed to create a wsdl.
Steps:
1. We created a webservice project in workspacestudio and generated a wsdl.
2. Then we have added a fault element manually in that wsdl.
3. Now we have generated a webservice from that modified wsdl.
4. Again we have generated a wsdl from webservice created in step 3.
5. step 4 wsdl is tested and running well on server.
When we try to configure that service as Proxy/Business service in ALSB and view the XPATH Expression Editor, we are not able to view Fault element under variable structures under body variable as shown below.But when we see the design view of our running wsdl in workspace studio it shows the fault element.How to get the fault element in variable body so that we can view the error in our logs in our defined Fault schema instead of BEA fault schema.WDSL is enclosed as an attachment.
Thanks in advance

Have you tried using the "Log" action in your pipeline proxy and log for $body and $fault. This will defin return the $body and $fault if these were parsed correctly
